Ci siamo trovati bene. Antipasti, primi secondi e dolci gradevoli. Ambiente ordinato, pulito, raccolto, un po' castellizio medioevale, cosa che a me aggrada notevolmente. Personale giovane, carino, a modo. Prezzi giusti. Da tornare.
Locale tranquillo e molto curato, ideale per cene romantiche. Il contesto è intimo e molto elegante, ricorda un castello medievale. Il personale è attento, discreto e molto gentile. Nel menù sono presenti piatti della tradizione locale e anche qualche novità, ampia la scelta dei vini. Per chi volesse un consiglio, suggerisco i salumi di Varzi, sempre ottimi. E come dolce, la torta al cioccolato fondente, servita tiepida (per gustarla meglio) e accompagnata da frutti di bosco, freschissimi. Prezzo corretto. Torenemo sicuramente.
While riding my motorbike with a friend, I stopped at this lovely restaurant with delicious food and excellent wine.
We're coming back from a motorcycle ride in the Piacenza hills. VARZI was one of our stops to stop for a bite, and we were very pleasantly surprised to find this fantastic little place. We had a delicious traditional appetizer and two first courses. We were truly happy and satisfied. The service was impeccable, and the staff were truly kind and helpful. We hadn't ordered dessert for the coffee, so we were served some really delicious homemade cookies. This will definitely bring a lot of positive publicity to friends and family who will be passing through VARZI.
A place I love dearly, quiet and peaceful, when I want to treat myself to a culinary treat and this is where I always long to come.... The traditional dishes are cooked impeccably and the service is attentive and friendly... thank you girls!
Located in the village of Varzi, it has two rooms, one on the ground floor and the other upstairs, with typical local decor. The atmosphere is clean and well-kept. The kitchen produces truly refined, well-proportioned dishes using quality ingredients. The service is discreet and professional, and the staff is helpful and friendly. The wine list offers over 100 wines from prestigious wineries. The price is in line with the location. Highly recommended.
Since living in Pavia, I've always been told how good the food is in Varzi and how the city boasts a renowned gastronomy that goes beyond its famous cured meats. I finally got to try it for myself at Officina dei Sapori, and I can say it was an experience that goes far beyond simply eating well. The place is wonderful, with a homey yet intimate and modern feel, perfect for a romantic outing or a group of close friends. The food was amazing: we started, of course, with the city's cured meats; the Varzi salami was a phenomenal discovery for me! Along with the cured meats, we ordered other house appetizers; the onion tart is a must-try. For my first course, I had the ravioli with braised beef inside and out, which I think are the best ravioli I've had in a year. My friend had homemade tagliolini with gorgonzola and walnuts, amazing and a pure delight for Gorgonzola lovers. For my second course, I had lamb chops, excellent quality meat with a well-balanced flavor thanks to the lemon. My friend's sliced steak was so soft and buttery. Finally, the desserts also amazed us. As a non-chocolate fan, I wanted to try their chocolate and lime cake, a masterpiece I never expected! The service was extremely friendly, and I applaud the skill and friendliness of the two ladies in the dining room with whom we had the pleasure of chatting. The bill was in line with what we ate and drank and the extraordinary quality of the ingredients. For me, it was a truly great food and wine experience, the likes of which are rarely found. Thanks to Officina dei Sapori for giving us this day.
We had lunch at this beautiful restaurant in Varzi for a day away from the chaos and heat of the city, and we had a wonderful time! The staff is delightful and attentive, they make you feel right at home, and the quality of the food is superb, not to mention the location and setting, the outdoor spaces are truly stunning. Highly recommended for visiting one of the most beautiful villages in Italy, 5 well-deserved stars 🚀

We went for lunch and were pleasantly surprised. The restaurant is fantastic: beautiful location, professional service, and simple, top-quality dishes. Perfect for a romantic lunch/dinner or a great way to impress friends. We had two appetizers with really good cured meats, excellent first courses (tagliolini with porcini mushrooms and tagliolini with truffle), and dessert. The wine list is excellent. We'll definitely be back!
A small restaurant in Varzi, with a beautiful location, excellent food, impeccable service, and excellent value. My only advice, if I may, is to be a little more daring with the desserts! Highly recommended.

A word of warning: make a reservation or you'll be hard-pressed to find a table. This is because the place is very charming, beautifully renovated, and welcoming; the staff are extremely friendly, and the food is very good. In short, an enticing combination. Unfortunately, we limited ourselves to a cold cuts appetizer (excellent) and two first courses (very tasty), but they gave a good idea of the quality and care put into the dishes. The wine by the glass offered was excellent.
We were here on July 30, 2022. The place was clean and well-maintained. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. The cured meats appetizer was excellent, with a superb Varzi salami. The tagliolini with basil and almond pesto were excellent. I will definitely be back. Thank you.

Pranzo ottimo con ingredienti freschi e di qualità: antipasto tipico varzese, tagliolini ai porcini, capriolo in salmì e "latte in piedi". Abbiamo scoperto con piacere che il caffè viene accompagnato da dei pasticcini!

The restaurant has a very pretty interior, but it's the outside that really wins you over. A small, relaxing corner for a romantic, quiet dinner amidst flowers and candles. Unfortunately, there was a storm during our dinner, but the outside was covered, so we could continue with the sound of rain in the background. The waitresses were very attentive, coming to us and other guests several times to ask if we wanted to come inside to eat. Traditional dishes were very well cooked, and the quality/price ratio was more than satisfactory. I recommend going there because it's worth it!

Good food, but the desserts are a bit overpriced, to be honest. Vegetarians won't find any options on the menu, nor will the staff accommodate requests for alternatives.
This restaurant offers a good lunch or dinner experience, although the menu might be a bit disappointing compared to the location's expectations. In particular, the tagliolini with fresh black truffle wasn't entirely convincing, perhaps due to the way it was prepared or the quality of the truffle itself. However, the restaurant remains a pleasant option if you're in the area.
I was not quite satisfied
The owner (or alleged owner) should simply change jobs. We were verbally assaulted and threatened with eviction for pointing out that a high chair was missing. We, a family with three children aged between 8 years and 4 months, were greeted from the start with coldness and rudeness bordering on antipathy, for no apparent reason. When we asked for a high chair, after having indicated the presence of children in our reservation days before, we were assaulted until the situation escalated. We were about to leave, but the children's hunger at 2:00 PM convinced us to stay. This place is highly discouraged and shouldn't even be considered until the ownership changes. It's a shame for the other young waiters, who were truly excellent and kind, and who tried to make up for it with humility. The food and prices are average.
