Conocimos el restaurante por un vídeo de las redes sociales y totalmente recomendable. Cumple las 3B perfectamente. Pedimos el menú especial de para 4 personas y comen 5 perfectamente. Incluye mariscada, arroz, bebida, pan , postre y hasta incluyen café. Servicio rápido, amables y muy bien situado. Si alguna vez volvemos por Vigo repetiremos seguro.
Nos comimos una mariscada para 2 que era como para 4 por 60 € más bebida y postre aparte. Nos atendieron súper rápido y las niñas fueron muy atentas y serviciales. Al salir tenían una cola que daba la vuelta a la esquina. Increíble atención y servicio. Lo malo es que el local es alto pequeño para tanta demanda. Volveré.
Preguntamos a un señor que no conocíamos que estaba paseando a su perrito , por lo que supusimos que era local, si nos podía recomendar donde comer marisco rico. Sin dudarlo nos dijo que aquí, que siempre estaban moviendo mucho el marisco, así que siempre fresco, que la calidad precio era excelente y que él celebraría allí su cumpleaños y qye no “nos clavarían!Fue la mejor recomendación. Nos trataron de maravilla a pesar de que llegamos casi a la hora de cierre de la comida. Pedimos ostras también que como es costumbre, hay que pedirlas en los puestos de la calle y te las llevas al restaurante. Como llovía mucho, fueron a avisar al señor que Ias trajo. ¡Deliciosas! 13 euros media docena! Y eran casi del tamaño de mi mano. El centollo, el pulpo, calamares …Todo delicioso. Volveremos para probar esos arroces que veíamos pasar. Y volveremos desde Canarias! Los postres caseros deliciosos!
Stopped off here on a day trip from a cruise. Spotlessly clean restaurant. Efficient staff, and more importantly delicious food, served piping hot!! A real lucky find. Buzzing atmosphere all around. Great for people watching the many passers by too!
One of the best meals we’ve ever had. Fresh seafood was the theme, we had the most amazing razor clams, scallops and the Lobster Galician rice. Brenda our Waitrose was sublime, warm, friendly, funny and gave us great reccomendations with great humour.
You eat here for 2 reasons , to eat seafood and therefore to order the seafood platter for 2 - €72.00 between us, a bargain compared to London. And utterly delicious. Really friendly helpful staff who guide you in which order the food should be eaten (some are hot for example), and includes a choice of either a whole spider crab, or Atlantic crab. A must visit in my opinion. Just make sure you book, it gets very busy in August. The bill came to €88.00 including a coke, coffee and a glass of wine. As I said, really good value. Of course I would go back when next in Vigo. Go. Enjoy.
I'm a culinary tourist. The local, traditional food is my main target. In this restaurant we found fantastic sea food, good local wine and beautiful stuff. We visited 2 times, and there were always people waiting for a table. Combined sea food for 2 was more than enough, and you can test different crabs, shrimps, and mussels. I could say that the price is lower for the service and the quality. You have to try octopus prepared in galician style. "Pimientos del Padron," we ordered instead of the salad.
Located in the historic center, among the narrow fishermen's street, this historic restaurant offers traditional local cuisine, but with a distinct focus on service and presentation. High-quality ingredients and a friendly, helpful staff. The grilled calamari are outstanding, and the seafood "arroz" is delicious—definitely worth a try....
This is an amazing restaurant handled by a great team and leadered by the family’s 3 rd generation since a few years. Been relishing the typical galician dishes at this restaurant since more then 30 years the experience has always been either great or excellent. In the recent years the wine variety and recommendation is the last topping you can have with the delicious food they prepare. Never to be missed, excellent dishes at affordable prices
Don’t get fooled by the “touristy” feel of this little lane of restaurants. Restaurante Casa Vella is a hidden gem. Every plate that comes out of the kitchen is a piece of art. The seafood is fresh and delicious. The waiters and waitresses are wonderful. The restaurant is beautiful. We were pleasantly surprised and definitely would recommend you visiting.
The shellfish remains unparalleled in freshness, maintaining its top status for over two years. The service is commendable, though it can be a bit loud outside when a cruise ship docks. However, if available, opt for an outdoor table. Pairing local beers and wines with the cockles, scallops, and octopus comes highly recommended.
Absolute gem of a place with best red sangria. Everything we eat was perfect esp liked the Padron peppers and Turbot fish . If you have never tried turbot must give it a try , light white buttery fish and perfectly grilled . Service and staff very exceptional . Food was amazing , ambiance very mellow and perfect for a nice meal , drink and conversation. Prices are very reasonable.
The best place to have a fine Galician meal in Vigo. High quality delicious seafood, nice and intimate terrace with a fresh sea wind, friendly personnel, excellent wine selection. We ate pulpo (the best I’ve tried ever), almejas, navajas, zamburiñas, empanada and fish. Chocolate cake was a dessert to die for. Definitely a place to recommend.
Outstanding! We dined at Casa Vella for lunch and made our reservations first thing in the morning. Wonderful staff and the food was outstanding. There are oyster shuckers around the restaurants, but not apart of the restaurants, so we ordered a dozen from one of the shuckers to ADD it to our fantastic meal of Pulpo and Paella. At this restaurant the Paella is "wet". In other words, it is more soupy that dry like that of Southern Spain,. Nonetheless, the seafood and service was excellent! Gracias!
This is the only location that we chose to eat at twice. The best empanada mejillones that I have had in Vigo. We also loved the zamburiñas. The staff is warm and welcoming, you can tell that they put a lot of love into their food and the service they provide. I highly recommend this restaurant to get a true taste of Vigo.
Situado en el centro de Vigo en una calle repleta de restaurantes. Trato muy amable y servicial de todo el servicio. Comida muy abundante en el arroz de bacalao y pulpo. Recomiendo pedir menos raciones que comensales. Relación calidad/cantidad/ precio muy buena. Encontre a faltar sardinas en la carta. Mantel de papel, que desmerece un poco.
Local con terraza y zonas de comedor interior. Sin reserva puedes ir pero debes hacer cola y vas entrando cuando se van los comensales que hicieron reserva. Mobiliario antiguo (poco cómodo) en el típico rest6de batalla donde puedes comer a buen precio cualquier marisco. Comimos calamares y mariscada para dos. Recomendable.
Pedimos 2 menús especiales de 4 personas Cada menú te incluye 1 bandeja bastante generosa de marisco y una olla de arroz CALDOSO. Como pedimos 2 menús, pedimos el arroz de Zamburiñas y vieiras y el arroz de mariscos Detalle positivo: cada menú viene con 2 botellas de vino o 8 bebidas Los postres y cafés también están incluidos A mi me gustó bastante la tarta de queso y el flan de café . La tarta de la abuela me pareció un pelín empalagoso No tengo ticket de la cuenta pero fueron 300€ (150€ cada menú) Los camareros que nos atendieron (una chica y un chaval delgadito y no muy alto) , lo hicieron de maravilla. Today we returned to the Piedra in the Casco Viego de Vigo.it was our third time amd second at the Casa Vella. The first time we didn't have to wait for a table. Today we waited over an hour and finally sat down to eat at 3.40. Everything was explained and delivered as discussed. We kicked things off with a rojo vermouth and an albarino. Padron peppers were large tasty and hot with a lovely hit of sea salt. My wife as a vegetarian was offered to be made up a vedgtable fideua. For my main I chose the lenguado and was offered the last one they had which was coming in at well over a kilo in weight and 45euros. It was very well prepared a la placha and beautifully white tasty and juicy. It came with a milage of steamed vegetables. We shared a dessert of cheesecake which the waiter recommended as the best choice. I gave it a 7 and told the waiter so and that yesterday's dulce de leche cheesecake was a cremon and a 10. I would recommend Casa Vella but either get there early or book in advance of leave your name and number with the maitredi and go for a walk and they will call you. Fuimos a Oporton en Vigo y nuestra experiencia fue algo mixta. Las zamburiñas estaban deliciosas, frescas y perfectamente preparadas, lo mejor de la visita. El pulpo a Feira, en cambio, estaba correcto pero sin destacar y el arroz con pulpo, dejó bastante que desear: le faltaba sabor y la textura no era la esperada. El ambiente del restaurante es agradable y el servicio atento, pero la experiencia gastronómica fue irregular. Aun así, las zamburiñas merecen la pena si visitas Vigo.
Teníamos una reserva y cuando llegamos nos dicen que la mesa aún no esta y que esperemos un poco. Tuvimos que esperar alrededor de media hora (aún teniendo la reserva desde hacía 2 días). Pedimos: - Vieiras: demasiado mejunje y sabía a todo menos a marisco. - Chipirones: mucha patata y pocos chipirones, aunque estén buenos no merece la pena. - Calamares fritos: encontramos un pelo bien incrustado en el empanado de los calamares, por lo tanto estaba ahí desde que los frieron. Aunque nos trajeron el plato de nuevo no fuimos capaces de comerlos a gusto, además pasa como con las patatas de los chipirones. - Arroz con pulpo: súper salado, sobró un montón de arroz porque a ninguno nos gustó. Experiencia horrible.
See food platter tasted great, but caused me an awful food poisoning 🤢in the middle of the night right after the dinner. Be VERY CAREFUL with this place! The service was very strange as well - the art of ignoring, mabe "speedy Gonzales" is also a good description... 🤦Sorry, but the location is awful as well. No view, under a building, very windy outside...
