Opinions de La Ciociara Villa Guardia
A beautiful place where you can eat in peace (the Giro pizza is excellent, but the restaurant is even better) and enjoy the weekly shows in complete safety (all safety protocols are strictly observed). I've already seen several, and each one is better than the last... The last one I saw was a tribute to Michael Jackson, which was fantastic. I recommend the place to everyone; you'll have a wonderful evening. Marco
Music bit to loud but overall good atmosphere and pizza
I went to this place on a Friday night to have pizza with friends and listen to the 883 tribute. The place is really beautiful and clean. There were five of us, four of us opted for the pizza tour, while only one opted for pizza. Unlike many other pizza tour places, they deliver it really quickly and let you try a variety of pizzas, including sweet ones, which are all delicious! Due to COVID, the tables are spaced far apart but have a very large table. As for the tribute, there's nothing to complain about. Thanks to the place's amazing sound system, you can hear it really well, plus the view is excellent from wherever you sit! The staff was very kind and very willing to listen to your requests! The prices are reasonable, and if you stay in the place to listen to the guest band, you have to pay €4 per person, but we're more than happy to do so. We'll definitely be back now that we've discovered such a beautiful place that always organizes live music even though it's an hour away! It's a shame about Covid because the place has incredible potential and without all this chaos I think it would have been even more beautiful!
Saturday evening, set menu + concert. I ate well, although the first course was a little slow to arrive (but that was to be expected given the evening and the number of people in the restaurant). The second course arrived 15-20 minutes later, which was good. The concert was great, the sound system was great, and I'll be back to try the pizza tour!
The pizza was good enough, but not very varied. I went on a Sunday with friends; we were expecting a Latin aperitif, but instead it was only open for the evening. Not many people, but all in all, we managed to do a little dancing to help digest our food. Definitely worth trying again!
Undoubtedly a welcoming place. I went there for a (business) lunch. I found the food good, as well as the service. I can't give a complete review, having neither tried the pizza nor the Saturday night crowd. The only flaw I found is that I hadn't yet had a business menu (drinks (water) excluded), although there's usually always something to drink. It's also not specified (nor is the opposite). However, if I ever come back, I'd definitely go back.
The place itself is very nice, spacious, and the tables are well-spaced. The staff is courteous and helpful. The food isn't the best; there's a wide selection, but it changes periodically. I once had venison and polenta, and it was very good; the next time, the polenta was stale. The food quality isn't consistent.
The place is very large and poorly soundproofed; when it's full, you have to shout at the person sitting across from you. We were a group of 17, and not everyone got a pizza pass. I was already biased given the restaurant's terrible reputation, so my pizza arrived burned on top and bottom, very salty, and with the 'nduja cooked when everyone knows it shouldn't be cooked. The Weizen beer was sour. The Coccodè risotto was reheated because it was dry, and the scallops were defrosted. The stage was large and the band was well-organized, but I've never had to pay the band €2 each. Recommended for the show, but the food leaves much to be desired.
I'm writing this right after paying for a round of pizza for a birthday. The main flaw is the slow service: we arrived at 8:30, the drinks arrived after 2 minutes, and the first pizza arrived another 20 minutes later. After that, there was nothing, and we almost always had to ask the waiters for anything, as they always walked by without serving us. Once we finished the pizza, we waited half an hour after ordering the cake. To conclude the evening, we ordered coffee, and despite asking several times, it arrived 50 minutes later. The quality and variety of the pizza didn't impress me compared to many other similar places in the area. The evening with live music is still a pleasant experience. I also want to give a shout-out to the waitress Giulia B., as she was the only one available to us throughout the evening.
Trash
A disappointment. The place was beautiful. We wanted to stay for the Pooh tribute. We ordered a pizza tour and ended up at a table ignored by almost everyone. The staff was inexperienced and being trained on the spot. We didn't even ask the waiters in the white shirts... Neither the ones in the black shirts nor the ones with the PDAs helped us get a drink or coffee. After an hour and a half, we only had five slices of pizza. The sweet one... requested three times... never arrived... so the kids paid but didn't eat. We drank our coffee at the counter because if we had waited another 10 minutes, we would have had to pay the concert fee.
Was a nice place last year, now it's poor "giro pizza" , always same pizzas, I won't go anymore
Terrible place. It's a shame because the location is lovely. The managers are rude and arrogant, and the food quality is barely adequate. If it weren't for the owner of the Latin school who organized the evenings, I wouldn't have returned after the second time. The only positive thing I can say is the dance evenings. The Latin evening organizers and their entire staff are great, and unlike some restaurant employees, they have always shown professionalism, passion for their work, and friendliness towards customers. I'm making this change because I can't respond to the managers' comments. If you were good at treating customers the way you write bullshit, you'd have a full house every night. We've always paid in advance at your place; otherwise, it was impossible to get in. In any case, more reviews will follow from other customers who were disappointed by your service. Of course, you'll have to admit that they all wanted to eat without paying, too.
I don't understand the point of the place. We arrived and they didn't explain the pizza tour, the aperitif tour, or whatever they call it... The pizzas have absurd flavors and are salty. But at a certain point, the Latin night started with 10 people dancing while you eat. They didn't even change the dessert plate, so you can imagine the taste... For me, it's a no.
Terrible experience! We arrived here for the pizza tour at 9:20 PM: we saw three pizzas in the space of 40 minutes, and two of them were the same, and that was it. After this immense pizza tour, orders were taken for individual pizzas that could be split in two. The first arrived after 20 minutes, and the second was eaten by the waiters, probably because after half an hour we reordered it just for fun, hunger becoming a vague memory. And like us, there were other "poor guys" wandering around the room, waving their arms for something to eat. The waitress who goes between the tables pulls down the scarves and waiters tries to be friendly. During live music, I ask a waiter for three coffees, but from 10 meters away he asks what I want... oh well...
SCANDALOUS!!!!!! This evening I came to this place to listen to the band (Kargo). Around 10:00 PM, I saw the band dismantling everything, and I went to ask for an explanation. Since I came to eat and listen to the band, the owner of the place told them not to play anymore because there were not enough people. False, see the photo, something like this has never happened to me. I will never come to this place again with my family. It's better if they change jobs. Absolutely to be avoided.
