Torneremo presto!
"Pranzo fantastico" siamo stati trattati benissimo.
Bravissimi Gianni e consorte. Ritorneremo ancora molto presto.

We stopped here for a coffee on our way to Civitella Alfedena. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, albeit small, and the Christmas decorations were truly lovely! On the way home, we remembered this little place. It also had a few tables in the room next to the bar, so we stopped for lunch! A very pleasant surprise, good, authentic food at more than fair prices. We'll definitely be back! If you're feeling sleepy, they also have rooms! Thanks for everything, see you next time!
I stopped in for lunch with my family, and I have to say it was a turning point, starting with the polite and helpful staff, the excellent local produce, and the truly reasonable prices. I highly recommend it.
We had dinner at this inn offered by our B&B, Borgo dei Cervi, and it was an excellent choice. We ate a platter of cured meats and cheeses, followed by pappardella with wild boar sauce and tagliolini with porcini mushrooms. What can I say? Excellent (if I could say that!)!!!! For the main course, since we were full, as the dishes were plentiful, we ordered 10 arrosticini, some of which were seasoned with a spicy local specialty (viagrà d'Abruzzo)...superlative. Kudos to the owners, who, in addition to being excellent at their jobs, take care of their guests from start to finish. The price was more than fair for everything we ate and for the quality of the food. Excellent dinner, and we'll definitely be back, perhaps for lunch, since we'll be staying for a week.
A truly family-friendly atmosphere, with 100% hospitable owners. The food is excellent, and Gianni tries to please all his guests with his delicacies. Clean premises!
Wonderful experience! We stayed at this B&B two weeks ago and were struck by the owners' extraordinary helpfulness. We had a car problem, and Gianni, along with his son Mario and his wife Maria, immediately stepped up to help us, even taking us to Lake Scanno for the day. We always had dinner there: there's no set menu, but Gianni asks you what you'd like and always prepares something delicious. Everything was very clean and with attention to detail. The people were truly kind, welcoming, and sincere: we felt right at home. Highly recommended for those looking not only for a pleasant stay but also for a family-friendly and authentic atmosphere.
Highly recommended. We've been vacationing in this magical place for five years. The owners are simply fantastic. There's nothing wrong with them. The rooms are beautiful, spotlessly clean, and welcoming. The food is sublime. We'll be back soon.
Our experience at La Locanda del Lago Lucciola was absolutely fantastic! This family-run restaurant truly excels in both its exceptional local cuisine and genuine customer service. Mr. Gianni, the owner, is a wonderful presence—always attentive and often found chatting amiably with guests at their tables, which truly adds to the welcoming atmosphere. The food is pure home-cooked delight. We savored every bite of the homemade local dishes, from the high-quality cured meats and cheeses to the flavorful mutton and other cuts of meat. And for a truly unique bonus, if you're lucky, you might even catch a glimpse of a bear outside in the evening! Highly recommended for anyone seeking delicious traditional food and heartfelt hospitality. We can't wait to return!
Very nice place! Of all the places we've been, every time we come back here we immediately feel at home! The cuisine focuses on local, quality products, but above all, the KINDNESS of the owners and employees is something you won't find anywhere else! The wild boar is sublime 😍 a must try.
Beautiful family-run place, exquisite food, clean and comfortable rooms, definitely worth returning, very kind and professional staff, never eaten wild boar like this. Not to mention the sheep alla callara and beautiful tagliata
Lovely inn, clean and fragrant room, kind and helpful owners and staff. Excellent food, quiet location close to both lakes. I stayed two nights. I had a great time, felt like home. I recommend it if you're passing through. I hope to return soon, thanks ❤️
We stopped for lunch. The staff were really friendly and helpful, the service was prompt and prompt, and we were served shortly after arriving. The dishes were truly delicious. We'll gladly return.
We accidentally chose to stay at this property to get away from the city for the weekend. It couldn't have been a better choice; the owners were extremely helpful and kind from the start. Even though we arrived a little late, they treated us to a delicious dinner, which we decided to repeat the next day. The dishes were generous and delicious, from starters to desserts. The inn is in an excellent location for reaching the lakes and all the nearby attractions. The room was cozy, very well-maintained, warm, and had a very comfortable bed. The breakfast was simple but met every need. The owners' son also promptly resolved a problem with our car. A delightful family. We truly relaxed, were pampered, refreshed, and felt at ease. What's more, in the morning we found a herd of deer right in front of the inn. It will remain a precious memory and a point of reference to return to.
We stayed at the inn for four days and it was a wonderful discovery. The location is strategic, easily accessible from anywhere. The rooms are spotless and new, including the bathrooms. Breakfast was excellent, with quality products. The restaurant is their strong point; we had the opportunity to sample all their traditional dishes. Delicious food, excellent, fast service. They have all the amenities you need: a tobacconist, bar, gas station, car wash, restaurant, and rooms. Truly an excellent place. I absolutely recommend it. A warm hug to Maria and Gianni, the owners, and to all the staff, who truly made everything enchanting. A family welcome from everyone. We will definitely be back soon. Greetings from Mary, Massimo, and little Alberto from Formia.
A pleasant discovery. When we arrived, we were caught a bit off guard by the gas station and the building on a highway. We were almost led to believe it was an hourly motel. I was almost reluctant to get out of the car. Once inside, we were instead greeted with a delightful surprise. Everything was meticulously maintained, well-finished, spotlessly clean, and new. The owners are delightful, extremely kind, and courteous, ready to accommodate any request, even after hours. They even lent us a small pouch so we could carry water for our excursions. The food at the property is simple but delicious. The cheeses are excellent, and the meat is exquisite, expertly prepared by Mr. Gianni and the kitchen staff. The prices are decidedly affordable. The owners are ready to accommodate any additional requests. Just ask what you might need. I should note that the rooms do not have air conditioning, but, especially at night, the cool breeze from leaving the windows open is very pleasant. I should also note that occasionally you might hear some small creaking sounds from the roof due to the alignment of the wooden beams. Don't panic. After a while, you get used to it. The place is in an excellent location for reaching Scanno, Villalago, Sulmona, and all the other nearby villages. We are considering returning soon. Therefore, if you are looking for a quiet place where you can relax and unwind while being in touch with nature without the excessive demands of a 5-star superior hotel, this is definitely the place for you. I agree.
We had lunch at this small but cozy restaurant, located a few kilometers from Lake Pio. The owner welcomed us warmly, seated us, and offered us a house appetizer with typical products, various first courses, all truly exquisite, and above all, the real highlight of the meal was the main course with delicious arrosticini… I can confirm that it was a wonderful discovery! We'll definitely be returning! Highly recommended! Thank you for everything for your kindness!
We stayed at this property for two nights. I found the rooms very warm and welcoming, as did the staff. We also had the pleasure of dining at the inn one evening and were delighted with the simple yet flavorful dishes. The location is a bit out of the way, but from here you can easily reach the area's attractions.
Excellent location, strategic and secure. Quiet, new, modern, and eco-friendly property. Clean and warm. The only problem is the characteristic and frequent creaking of the wooden structures.
Despite the rudeness and incompetence of the lady on our first attempt to book, who attacked us by shouting, leaving us no chance to speak or even explain the question we'd asked, our stay wasn't the worst. The room was clean (though I found a bar of soap in the shower, probably used by previous guests), comfortable, but there's no Wi-Fi (although it was advertised as such). We also contacted the owners for the credentials via the booking platform, but received no response. Breakfast wasn't the best—it was just a sweet treat, and included a hot drink, juice, and toast. On the second day, there were croissants, but they were probably old. The breakfast host was very kind. The location is convenient if you want to visit Scanno and the surrounding area.
We stayed one night at this inn! The staff were helpful. The rooms were simple and a bit dated (be careful with the hot water). We didn't have breakfast because it was available from 9:00 a.m., which was too late for us. Dinner was simple, with an appetizer of mixed cold cuts and cheeses (fresh). The desserts, however, could be improved (I ordered the torta della nonna, and it was frozen). The value for money could be improved. I recommend it, especially for the area and the location, an excellent starting point for reaching the Godi Pass, Lake Scanno, and the Sagittario Gorges. Would I recommend it? Yes Would I return? No
Our experience at the inn wasn't the best. On the day of Ferragosto (the August bank holiday), we decided to stop for fuel (the place also has gas stations). When we got there, we were told that the service was self-service only (obviously because it's more expensive), but the gas station attendant, who is also the owner's brother, never imagined that we'd be stopping for lunch soon after. The owner kindly tried to find us a seat even though it was full by placing us in front of the gas station. From there, we noticed the first joke: that the gas station was self-service! Well, we'll overlook it, after all, we're only tourists! When we sat down to eat, we were told that only the set menu was available, as we didn't have the option of choosing from the à la carte menu (we're not big eaters, so we'd never have finished our meals), but okay, we accepted! When we paid, inside the restaurant, we realized that everyone at each table had a different dish than our set menu. We asked for an explanation, but none of them could provide any clarification. That was until the owner arrived, realizing the situation wasn't ideal. She decided to take responsibility and give us a discount on the final bill. Overall, the food wasn't bad. I would have certainly preferred at least a arrosticini (a skewer) rather than reheated porchetta. We certainly won't be returning because of the mockery. Yes, we're tourists, but not stupid!
