A large and spacious restaurant, simply yet welcomingly furnished. My compliments to the owner, who is always present in the dining room, ready to accommodate any request and, above all, friendly and sociable. Excellent food and a rich menu that we struggled to finish. Excellent wine with a good selection. Impeccable and professional service. Parking nearby. Recommended, and especially considering the crowds, booking in advance is recommended.
I visited Piola a few days ago for Christmas lunch with colleagues and friends from the community where I work. I was truly won over. The restaurant offers authentic Piedmontese cuisine, made with fresh, seasonal ingredients, enhanced with a creative touch that makes each dish enjoyable and well-balanced. The welcoming and lively atmosphere is ideal for both a family lunch and an evening with friends. The friendly and professional staff are always ready to recommend local dishes and wines. The owner's presence among the tables is warm and attentive. Everything contributes to a warm, family-friendly atmosphere, where you feel completely at home. The variety of appetizers is excellent, and the traditional first courses are meticulously prepared. This restaurant is highly recommended for those seeking traditional cuisine, friendly service, and an authentic atmosphere. A place I'll gladly return to.
I had lunch today, and even though they were fully booked, they still found me a seat. The menu features sublime and generous traditional Piedmontese dishes, the service was very prompt, and the owner even explained how the dishes were prepared. The price was more than fair for everything! Highly recommended if you want to have lunch in a true Piedmontese restaurant.

I've known this fantastic place for about 5 years. The owners are very friendly, and the food is divine. During the week, they offer a set lunch menu and also offer a good bottle of wine. It's different every time. Very honest, and the food is always excellent. I recommend it to everyone who visits Virle!!!
Lunch with friends on the outdoor terrace of this historic restaurant in Virle. The restaurant's wine bar roots blend with the flavors of traditional Piedmontese dishes, prepared with care and style! We were served and looked after with each course, with wines that complemented the tastes and flavors, and the owners were welcoming and friendly. The abundance of appetizers, first courses, and second courses meant we couldn't finish the "endless" menu, abbreviating it to a few first courses and just one second course to reach the fantastic desserts. I recommend it to those who enjoy high-end cuisine, but I don't recommend the outdoor area due to the fly problem. Although few flies are present despite being in the countryside, they are a bit of a nuisance.
Absolutely sensational. We discovered this restaurant when we first moved to Virle and have been in love with it ever since. The food is truly delicious, the staff is fantastic, and the owner himself, when he's present, goes around the tables making sure everything is fine. It's not predictable and is very popular. The portions are endless, and the value for money is unmatched. Just writing the review and remembering all the wonderful dishes (from Russian salad to Tomini cheese with honey) is making me hungry. We continue to recommend it to everyone, and not a single person has been disappointed. They also make vegetarian modifications to the (fixed) menu upon request; it's essential to let them know in advance. See you soon!
A very nice restaurant with a very well-stocked wine cellar (see photo). We went for lunch with colleagues, and we ate an excellent roast with a side dish and a delicious persimmon sorbet. In the evenings and on weekends, the menu is much more extensive, costing €35 per person.
Excellent Piedmontese restaurant in the center of Virle. The menu is set, not à la carte, and excellent Prosecco is included in the price during lunch. The staff is friendly, and the owner is very personable and attentive.

Excellent dining room staff, a kind and never overbearing owner, and authentic, traditional Piedmontese dishes. On special evenings like last night, they've even created a more refined menu! Thank you...after these two years...we needed an evening like this! Compliments from the "girls" (Rabbit tuna, artichoke parcel, salad, etc., etc., beetroot risotto with...I won't tell you everything...go try it..) 😉

As for the wines, you're spoiled for choice. Congratulations! 2021. I stand by my previous review. The staff is very kind and professional. The owner is a great master of ceremonies. Those who love sparkling wines can take a guided tour and taste classic wines from various regions in their sparkling versions. I found the Sicilian sparkling wines to be wonderful.

Hi, The food isn't abundant, but it's very tasty and unique. The service is a bit chaotic; all the waiters serve all the tables, with no organization. The atmosphere could use a refresh; upon entering, it makes you feel like you're in a bazaar, with very limited space; the decor in the dining room is from another era. Dax
Absolutely, a great experience, and one that requires advance reservations, ESPECIALLY on holidays because it's always very busy. Typical Piedmontese fare with creative touches. Local products, phenomenal wines, friendly and courteous service, and a palpable "feel" as soon as you enter the restaurant. You won't be disappointed, nor will you go hungry. Well done 💪🏼✨

Certain things should be clarified at the beginning, when you sit down, such as: "Is this your first time here? Let me explain, the menu is a fixed price, there are a certain number of appetizers, two first courses, a second course, and a sampling of desserts..." Instead, no one says anything to you, there's no menu at the table, you're immediately served three appetizers one after the other, which seemed like piecework, then more people arrived at the tables and, thank goodness, the service proceeded at a more normal pace, a bottle of white wine is opened for you from the basket in the center of the table, you don't know if it's included or if you pay for it... they bring you a bottle of red, you don't know how much it will cost... I think it would take little to be more clear from the beginning... in the end, the bill will be 35 euros per person, fair for what we ate and drank, but I think the service is approximate... the quality of the food is good, I've attached some photos.
