Bonito mesón con productos típicos de la región, con muy buen ambiente y servicio muy atento y servicial. Llegamos sin reserva, preguntamos por una mesa para dos, y nos comentaron que si queríamos compartir una mesa con otra pareja que había llegado a la vez. No nos pareció mala idea y nos sentamos a disfrutar de unas zamburiñas(que en realidad eran volandeiras)y unos chipirones fritos y terminamos la experiencia compartiendo una porción de tarta de Nuez con unos cafetines. En resumen buena experiencia, buen producto y buena atención. Muy recomendable en todos los aspectos. Lo único que me llamó la atención es el tamaño de las raciones que a mi parecer eran un poco escasas, aun así el precio era adecuado.

Compartimos una ración de zamburiñas, pimientos del padrón y huevos rotos con pulpo, muy bueno todo. De postre tarta de queso que estuvo deliciosa. Productos de calidad y muy buena atención.

Comida muy rica. Los dueños son super majos y el servicio muy atento. No se puede reservar y está bastante solicitado, por lo que se puede ir un poco pronto y tomar un aperitivo antes de comer :)

Comida muy rica. Camareras muy atentas y eficientes. Las zamburiñas muy ricas, los pinchos morunos muy ricos también y luriñas ricas pero algo escasas. En general rico y contentos.

El local es súper pequeño y tiene que ser con reserva, si no es un poco complicado. El trato fue correcto y la comida estaba buenísima. Quizá la ensaladilla un poco sosa, lo único que no me encantó, pero el revuelto con pulpo estaba de vicio.

Fuimos temprano para pillar mesa, fue buena opción porque luego se llena y hay que esperar turno. Probamos el paté de merluza que estaba riquísimo, zamburiñas y el pulpo a feira. Muy recomendable

Lo primero que hay que hacer es pedir al encargado que te apunte a la lista y a medida que van vaciando mesas va nombrando en voz alta el nonbre. Suele tardar unos 20 minutos de media y vale mucho pero que mucho esperar Productos muy frescos y muy bien hechos El servicio es excelente en mi caso me atendio carolina y solo puedo agrader lo bien que nos cuido. Trato muy correcto. Comida muy rica y raciones abundantes. Sino fuera que era en fiestas patronales y en pleno centro de las festividades le ponía un 10 a todo.

No reservan con antelación pero puedes esperar fuera tomando algo, que va rápido. Pedimos huevos rotos con pulpo y el lacón asado y riquísimo, quedamos más que satisfechos. Me recomendaron el pulpo del sitio, tenía ganas de darle una oportunidad y me acerqué. Pedí por delante unas zamburiñas y todo excelente. Al punto que me es complicado dar con otro sitio donde haya probado un pulpo similar. El servicio también a un nivel impresionante, cerca tuyo para cuando necesitabas algo y, sobre todo, con una paciencia supina para aguantar a según qué clientes (no tengáis duda que soy uno de ellos). Volveré y recomendaré el sitio.

La tarde anterior estuvimos echando unas cervezas y vimos como se lleno a la hora de cenar en un domingo lluvioso con calles vacías... Y cuando el río suena... Pedimos zamburiñas y pulpo ambos estaban buenísimos! Los camareros/as majisimos los dos días. 🦪

Stepping through the door, in Ferrol, on Galicia’s rugged Atlantic coast I was greeted by the lively hum of a full house—eight people already waiting, a clear sign of a restaurant that locals treasure. As a solo diner, I expected to join the queue, but instead the gentleman at the entrance smiled, cleared a corner of the bar, and created a place just for me. It was a small gesture, but one that instantly set the tone: this was not just a meal, it was hospitality in its purest sense. The menu, written only in Galician and Spanish, might have posed a challenge to an outsider, yet here it became part of the adventure. With patience and warmth, my host guided me through the dishes, painting vivid pictures of each one and steering me toward his favorites. His choices did not disappoint. The baby squid arrived first—delicate, tender, with a freshness that spoke of the nearby coast. Then came the scallops, seared to perfection, sweet and briny in equal measure. For dessert, he shared something even more personal: a slice of walnut torta, baked to his mother’s recipe. It was rustic, rich, and deeply comforting, like being welcomed into a family kitchen. Food of this quality deserves a worthy companion, and it found one in a crisp glass of Albariño. Bright, mineral, and refreshing, it tied the whole experience together, anchoring the flavors firmly in Galicia’s maritime traditions. What made the evening unforgettable, however, was not just the excellence on the plate but the spirit in the room. This was a place where service was not scripted but heartfelt, where a diner was not simply fed but cared for. It felt less like eating out and more like being invited into a story of place, tradition, and people. Leaving the restaurant, I carried with me more than the memory of a wonderful meal. A small queue outside at opening time told us all we needed to know. Welcoming staff. A simple menu of local produce still left us watching other dishes being served with envy. Fare was superb cooked by the family chefs. If you are visiting Viveiro this is a must!

Overall, I always count on this place to enjoy some good food in viveiro. The attached photo are croquetas (pulpo and jamon) absolutely delicious.

Stopped here for lunch on the way west. Even though we arrived late it was still full and we had to wait about 20min for a table. But a wait well worth it. There are a good number of tables inside and outside. Also many customers standing with their drinks and chatting. Everybody seems to have a good time. So did we. And our Bulldog was welcome as well. Atmosphere is very nice, staff friendly, the wine is flowing and the food is excellent. Ordered some white wine, almejas (clams), raxo (pork) and paté de merluza (pike). Everything was cooked to order and was freshly prepared. The clams very nice and fresh, the paté very smooth with a nice, but not overpowering fish flavour. And the pork was nicely marinated with lots of good spices. High quality pork. There were more very interesting items on the menu. But maybe next time, these three dishes were enough food for two for a quick lunch. But all very good items. Surely a place we'll be back to one day.

Un lugar muy típico de Viveiro para poder degustar tapas y platos típicos de la región! Si quieres cenar/comer, recomiendo ir con tiempo ya que es probable que te quedes sin mesa! (No hacen reservas). El trato durante toda la cena fue estupendo, sin duda volvería a repetir!!

Hicimos caso de las reseñas de este establecimiento y decidimos ir a probar. Cuando llegamos no había mesa disponible, (por lo que se recomienda reservar), pero nos ofrecieron la opción de compartir mesa con otros comensales, la cual aceptamos. Pedimos zamburiñas (volandeiras), muy ricas y buena preparación, la ración es de 8 uds., también pedimos chipirones estos venían acompañados de patatas fritas, de sabor normales y para mi parecer las raciones son escasas. La atención por parte de los trabajadores fue muy buena, con servicio fluido y buena organización

Pues ante las opiniones tan buenas q leíamos, íbamos con las expectativas muy altas y la comida estaba rica pero quizás nos esperábamos más. Las croquetas bien/normal, las zamburiñas nos pareció q tenian poco sabor, el pulpo muy rico, a los pimientos en nuestra opinión les faltaba sal gorda, los chipirones fritos en su punto y de la tarta de queso y aunque ya nos avisaron q era fría (no de horno) nos esperábamos más.... Los camareros muy atentos y con buen rollo. En la taberna se está muy a gusto.

We had zamburiñas and pulpo a la feira and it was delicious. The zamburiñas were really flavorful in themselves but the sauce made for them just accentuated them even more, simple yet classic and addicting. The classic Galician pulpo was amazing. It tasted very fresh and the portion was substantial. You pay extra for the bread which is made in a leña (wood fire oven) and it was really really good. I wish we would’ve had more zamburiña sauce to dip it in. Although pricey, pretty worth it! Service was not the best, towards the end they forgot about us completely and at the beginning I felt pretty rushed to order. Overall good place to eat!

Typical tapas place in the village center. It seems it’s the most popular place around so get in early to avoid a long wait. We had excellent “zamburiñas”, and good mussels and “raxo”. Bonito salad was very tasty, as was the bread. Calamares were not good. Too grassy and rubbery. The French fries that accompanied it were soft and full of oil. Clearly the frying oil had not been hot enough. I mentioned it to the waiter, but I don’t think he would take action upon it. This dish would gain a lot with a nice dip or sauce for the calamares, but unfortunately the cuisine of Galicia is rather primitive.. Nice terrace, good atmosphere.

Central, very good atmosphere, typical Spanish tapas bar. The service was excellent, but we were a bit disappointed with the food. The portions were tapas size but portion price and the only quite tasty dish was the fried cuttlefish (chipirones). Everything else, just fried and common... and the vinaigrette mussels at a just unacceptable standard for Galicia.
