Great decor, with a nice West Hollywood space adjacent to Sur Restaurant from Vanderpump Rules. The service is great, such nice people. Happy Hour is amazing, love the guacamole but Happy Hour does end at 6pm. And please try the Spicy Skinny Margaritas with the Tacos!!
Delicious food! The service was great and very friendly. It was such a clean and contemporary atmosphere, and their heaters kept us warm after walking around in the cold outside. The appetizer we ordered (ceviche) was my favorite. I've never really been a fan of fish, but I loved the swordfish and shrimp! Everything was wonderful, and I would definitely recommend the sweet potatoes fries!
Friday night happy hour was great. Friendly hostess, waitstaff, bartenders. Great ceviche and guacamole. The smoke & berries mescal cocktail is one of my favorites.
Absolutely a Delight! While the prices reflect WeHo - the customer service was on point (bartenders were named Mia and Grant), clients were smart casual , drinks on point, and the swordfish Tacos were out of this world!!!! Yum yum! Defiantly a must for Latin Food!
Food is amazing, had an amazing time with my friend which was a group of 12 people. No problem with the service, obviously get the bottomless mimosas!
Awesome- servers were super nice. I will return..food was so so delicious!!
Food was delicious and follow up with service was great. I would definitely recommend. I had the huevos rancheros. Different but tasty. Saw this on the table but not sure what it is...some sort of promotion? Waiter did not mention.
Excellent food and atmosphere. Our waitress Candace was amazing. Taco Tuesdays and the tequila are awesome!
Great place, very cute atmosphere with an awesome happy hour!
Excellent service. Our time spent was well worth it
Food is delicious. Price is good. Like here a lot.
The Lobster Benedict was so delicious.
The food here is fantastic and it is a fun atmosphere. I would recommend trying the Ceviche and tableside gaucamole. If you are a tequila fan, definitely try one of the the flights. Can't beat the friendly staff from the host to the bartenders. Check it out, you won't be disappointed.
Food was so crazy fresh Service was fabulous and quick. I loved the selection of drinks and people watching was hilariously varied. The decor was great eye candy and relaxing and fun. Location was easy to find and Uber to Highly recommend
Best dinner I've had in a long time!!!!!!! SERIOUSLY had to find places that impress me, everything was delicious from the appetizers, main, and desert. ....servers and manager came to my table to check in. ...did the happy birthday thing on my plate!!!!! Love it
Nestled in the heart of WeHo's restaurant and bar district Tortilla Republic has a vibrant vibe with a menu in which the chef has put some thought into it. The tequila menu is extensive and has something for the causal connoisseur to the seasoned veteran. Surprisingly our Sunday visit was a busy night to attend. Be sure to set up reservations as this was key to attaining prompt service. The atmosphere is loud so keep that in mind when planning your visit. It not a huge place though the mirrors help sell you in that sense.
Christmas Eve dinner with a table of 8 of us and the service was impeccable. the food was delectable and the ambiance was perfect to kick off our holiday spirit. Always a great time at Tortilla Republic!
This is THE ONLY place where I can eat Mexican food without getting my stomach upset. Ceviche, fautas de pollo and enchiladas are my favorites 😋 I'm not a connoisseur in cocktails, so I can't say anything about that, but they have a huge menu of different margaritas and other cocktails, though I personally usually go with wine. Good atmosphere, friendly staff. Totally recommended 👌
Very scenic and hip decor with excellent food and reasonable prices to match. The house margeritas were strong, the pork chops perfectly tender, the carnitas very flavorful, and the carne asada juicy. Grew place for dinner or for a date! Metered parking was plentiful on a Thursday night, and there's a public lot directly across the street.
What a great place ! The service is amazing and friendly We arrived without reservations and they treated the 3 of us like royalty The Mexican food is a fusion of other cuisines that make the flavours unforgettable! Highly recommended
Sunday's at Tortilla republic are apparently where the party is at! If you want a quiet place to hand out and chat with friends, maybe not your best bet. Get there before 3 if you want to get the full brunch menu. The Beef Bowl is so good! Cerviche is on point as well.
We stopped in for dinner while in town and I'm so glad we did. My boyfriend had the mole enchiladas and I had the lamb special and a few great cocktails. We had originally selected to sit inside for our reservation but they sat us on the patio. I am actually glad they did this as we enjoyed the patio at night much more than sitting inside. Service was wonderful and so was the food. We will certainly be back next time we are in town!
Wonderful menu every day,. Great happy hour and brunch. The menu has unusual and surprising treats and the service is impeccable. They have a full bar and excellent drink menu as well, with special margaritas. Will work with all your needs and special requests. Have gone numerous times and always give the highest ratings in every category.
Okay, I am not usually a fan of "gourmet" Mexican restaurants, but this one is awesome! Place is loud and lively, and the food is exceptional! The Chips & Salsa is good, and the Guacamole is spectacular! I have had a few things here, but my favorite by far are the Lobster Enchiladas- scrumptious! You can actually taste the lobster and boy is there is a lot of meat! There is not too much spice or seasoning, and the truffle oil adds just the right touch. While the specialty Margaritas are good, the $10 House Margarita is a fine choice. Service is EXCELLENT and the servers seem to really care that you are there. If you are looking for authentic local Mexican food, this is not the place, but if you want great Mexican food in a lively Hollywood atmosphere, you'll be happy that you walked through the front door!
This is a great spot in West Hollywood for drinks or food. I've been twice, both for drinks, but the food looks delicious. I'm not a huge tequila fan but my girlfriend is and they have a huge selection of different tequilas. I had one of the specialty cocktails, stormy something. My girlfriend loved her margarita and my drink was great too!
What a great local LA Mexican restaurant. Very hip diverse menu. Had the vegetable tacos that were extra delicious, and while I wasn't drinking, there was a decent beer selection, (and the lemonade was great!). The service was great as well with inside and outside seating. Check this place out.
Upscale innovative Mexican food. We recently had a reservation mix up and the manager Michael apologized and offered a gift card. Very above and beyond what one would expect. We like the food, attentive service and relative quiet in the rope room.
Always delicious! Fresh, healthy ingredients, perfectly prepared and beautifully plated. Creativity here never obscures traditional flavors - a huge, wafer-thin jicama slice subs for a corn tortilla, yielding the most cool, refreshing summer interpretation of a shrimp taco. Happy hour menu is delightful and modestly priced - so enjoy a tasting- feast, and sample several exquisite small plates. This is a local gem!
Nice restaurant, affordable and great service. $17 for bottomless mimosas on Sundays. They sell pitchers of margaritas as well but it’s probably cheaper if you’re only having two margaritas.
A Mexican restaurant with a classy California twist serving fresh and original dishes. The sweet potato fries and ceviche were wonderful. Request to sit inside and not on the patio during the Winter. We made the mistake and felt like we were being roasted by their industrial heaters. There is a small parking behind the restaurant but it fills up fast. Also more expensive parking in a garage behind the restaurant.
Daily happy hour 3pm-6pm. Monday is all day with HH drink prices from $4 beer to $7 margaritas. Food is okay for HH prices like $6 for 2 tacos, $7 nachos (add $4 with meat). Staff was nice. Monday happy hour and evening is pretty empty. Anyone watch GOT? Inside tree looks like from GOT.
Very nice restaurant with an open air feeling. The tacos that I tried were very good and the salsa was amazing! Definitely recommend.
Good food, good service, 4 stars because it took a while to get our food ready.
Nachos and Margharitas very Good. Nice place where stop to take lunch
The happy hour not bad loved the mole quesadilla. The bartender today made an exceptional Michelada. The Jalapeño Margaritas are also really good. Great selection of Tequilas, Great location, Bar Hopping.
Great, patient staff with a very decorative /tasteful interior. Went with a large group and the staff really was amazing. That being said, food is really good, but if you are starving, you don't get a massive amount for the cost you are paying, unless you get a super heavy meal loaded with tons of cheese and filler ingredients. But for the location, perhaps I'm being too particular. Also, beware of the spices if you have dietary constrictions involving jalapeños etc. Overall, staff is what makes this place shine the most.
Always a safe choice if you want something simple and that leaves your stomach full. Fresh and great ingredients make their amazing plates. The lighting could be improved but in thee d creates an environment that is warming and calm. Good for groups and large parties.
I forgot our server's name but he was amazing, the food and drinks were really good. Overall the experience the atmosphere was a plus. Only reason why it's not a 5 star, is because when we received our dessert (churros) there was a hair in it.
Always get great service, and amazing tasting food here! Even though it was pride weekend, we made a reservation and got taken care of and our food pretty quickly. Love stopping by this place any chance I get.
Great spot. Very busy even on a Wednesday night. Daniel at the host stand got us a table with just a few minutes notice. Our waiter was excellent. Support staff were very helpful. Highly recommend this place.
All of it was fairly mexican-inspired rather than having a authentic feel, but still delicious. The margaritas are good. The decor in the back room is confusing I thought it may have used to be a seafood restaurant? Or just artsy.
I had the stuffed pepper and shared the guacamole and chips. The guacamole and salsa were great. The main dish was so so. I had a bite of my friend's surf and turf fajita and the steak was overcooked. The margarita was delicious. Valet parking was $10. An expensive fine dining Mexican experience that I find unnecessary to repeat.
Its ok. Food is decent enough but didnt like that the Queso Fundido was not served the authentic way in a sizzling plate. Seemed a little pricey but service and ambiance was nice enough.
Went there for my last night in LA. We wanted something nice where we can dress up and enjoy some upscale food. The food was food, got their mole enchiladas. The sauce was def really good. Pretty much everyone in the group enjoyed their food. Drinks were nice and strong, however don't go here thinking you will get a good selection of beer though.
My favorite thing here was the salsa. My second favorite thing here was the warm and helpful staff. Everything else was good, but not remarkable. I would definitely come here more often if they had more vegetarian options. Pro-tip: dogs are allowed on the enclosed front patio, but you need to have a reservation.
Several orders came out wrong, and the service was not great. My marguerita arrived in a cracked glass too. I know it's a tough to be in the restaurant business, but for me the kicker was automatically adding a 22% tip to party of 8, where 4 of the 8 were little kids who barely ate anything. Never going back here again.
We came in Friday evening for happy hour. I was a bit on the fence about coming here since i find the ambiance super cute but the reviews about service made me nervous. Nonetheless, I knew I would just have to figure it out for myself. When we arrived, all the seats at the bar are full and a handful of tables had guests seated for dinner. We walked towards one end of the bar since we didn't want to reach over the small groups at the bar. It took about 5-10 min to get someones attention at the bar for just a menu. We got the drink menu only to realize the happy hour menu wasn't on there. So of course, there I was waiting another 10 minutes just for the happy hour menu. Finally, we ordered our drinks, and they came out promptly. I ordered a jalapeno margarita and really enjoyed it. Not spicy like you would think and def not sugary either. Overall, ambiance was nice, drinks were fine - nothing iconic for me to come back for, and service sucked. I'd rather find a place with better service for HH to get my money's worth from my experience.
This was a nice place but when I went to ask them if they could validate my parking the host was very rude to me and said with a disgusted look on his face " ugh... I don't even know what to do with this" to which I said " you don't validate public parking" he then said " uh, no we don't" like I'm some kind of nuisance. It is a fancy restaurant so apparently tourists using public parking is disgusting and unheard of and we don't belong at their establishment.
The food is gross and overpriced. At least it has a good location in West Hollywood. At least the margaritas are sometimes good. Some staff, servers are nice, while some staff are kind of condescending and judgmental of those that express their dislike of the food.
I hate to even give it a single star and that is solely based on the first impression you get when you try to order a drink. I can not ever remember recieving so much attitude. Had I owned this establishment both bartenders that I encounter would have been fired many times over. There is never a reason to serve up attitude. Lets not forget this is a service industry and there main responsibility is to serve drinks in a timely friendly manner so to insure their guests enjoy there experience. It wasn't busy I wont go into all the details but I quickly closed my tab and regret the 10% tip I left dont plan on ever returning.
