Tried this place for the first time since opening I can say by far this is the best pizza joint opened in downtown winter garden area. Seating selection is limited with dining outside , at the bar, or at a table inside. Jamie and Bree the new manager took care of us the entire time they were very nice since the moment we walked in until the moment we were walking out and that’s what customer service is all about and nowadays that is very rare to find. Bree the new manager goes above and beyond she went around asking guests including my table how everything was and is actually concerned about your feedback on the restaurant. The food was really good I got the garlic knots, and the Detroit style pepperoni pizza nice crispy edges very well proportions definitely recommend this spot for anymore who’s looking for a night out with the family or even taking a girl out for a first date I love the atmosphere very vibrant and welcoming, and the aesthetics throughout the entire restaurant are immaculate. I definitely will be coming back. I understand why the winter garden pizza company went out of business I highly recommend AJ’s pizza. No reservations are needed but the wait can be up to 25 minutes maybe longer depending on how busy they are.

Located in winter garden Florida ! The inside was crowded so we sat outside there are several tables the pizza and the neighborhood vibe was wonderful our server was very friendly and professional and the bathrooms have a golden throne and if you wish a wonderful sound system I highly recommend this eatery!👍❤️

Went here for some late night eats. The pizza was delicious! Also got s side of meatballs and an arugula salad that were both tasty. The staff is wonderful! The have the coolest bathroom I've ever seen with a gold toilet and a button to push for music. It's a whole vibe there!

West of Orlando, in Winter Garden, AJ’s Pizza Joint is serving some amazing za. I’ve been meaning to try them for a while because they offer a variety of styles of pizza, including New York, Sicilian, and Detroit. When getting a table on a Sunday afternoon the hostess said a table was about a 20 minute wait but we could sit at the bar (which looked full to me) but she pointed out their “pizza bar” which was further back in the restaurant and instead of having the bar and tv backdrop was set up to see their kitchen assembling and baking the pizzas. To a foodie, this was the best seat in the house, and I’d recommend and would prefer sitting there in the future so I can see how the magic is made. The person expediting (which turned out to be JC – the general manager) gave us menus and told us to let him know if we had any questions as soon as we sat down. Our server came to get our drinks and order shortly after. We watched JC quality control (checking for a proper cook and undercarriage) on every pizza that came out of the oven before finishing and sending them out (even sending one or two back when he thought they needed another minute in the oven (serious props for the attention to quality and detail). We got garlic knots and a meatball slider to start. Both were great, but I’m partial to a good homemade meatball (bonus points that I could order just a single slider instead of a set). Our Roni Detroit pizza came out, but these pictures don’t do it justice. It was beautiful. Crispy cheese edge, thick but fluffy crust, cupped pepperoni, and thick red sauce spread across the top. Everything about this pizza hits right for its style, melty and crispy cheese, fluffy interior, hearty tomato-forward sauce, and freshly grated parm on top. With the apps, we only at one slice each, but I’m not mad about having leftovers to be able to eat later. While the Detroit-style pies run about $30 each, you could get at least a couple of meals out of a single pizza, especially if you get or have any apps or a salad with it, and even at that, the quality of the food is absolutely worth the price in my opinion. JC chatted with us while very steadily cracking out food the whole time, and the servers were also very nice. We’ll absolutely be back and would highly recommend everyone who enjoys good pizza to check them out! Also, looking forward to trying their NY style pizza, they all looked great, and JC said they do great specials and pizza by the slice during the weekdays around lunch!

I went with the thick crust — I was skeptical at first, but the moment I saw it, I was sold. It tasted amazing both fresh and even better as leftovers the next day. The local lager with lime was a perfect match — crisp and refreshing. Service was also very good, friendly and attentive. Overall, for a pizza joint, it’s a solid five stars from me. The only drawback was the limited options for family members who are lactose intolerant. Hopefully they add more dairy-free choices in the future!

This was my 2nd time eating here and I have to say it does not disappoint! Ordered the ceaser salad which was plenty for 2 people and tried the margarita pizza and it was crispy and delicious! I love pizza and this place really makes it great. Take a trip to the restroom and hit the party button for a fun way to end your restroom trip. Grab a table inside or out or sit at the bar and watch sports or sit at the bar top which faces the kitchen and watch them create your delicious masterpiece. If I am in winter garden and pizza is a calling AJ's is my stop!

AJ’s Pizza in Winter Garden was a great find; delicious pies and a fun atmosphere. We ordered a 10-inch gluten-free cauliflower crust Margherita pie, a New York–style pie, and the Hot Honey pie; everything was flavorful and satisfying. Their “pies” are pizzas, New York-style, and the gluten-free option was especially appreciated. One important note; the Hot Honey is seriously spicy. If you can’t handle heat, don’t order it. Also, the restroom is unforgettable; gold interior including the toilet, plus a buzzer that triggers both the music and disco lights so you can dance to your favorite song. Great food, great vibe, and lots of personality.

What a delicious surprise! Friends had recommended AJ’s, but I was dubious, given the price point for a 14 or 18 inch pizza. So happy that I was proven wrong. My husband and I had two glasses of wine, shared a Caesar salad, and ate one piece each of a delicious and generously portioned Detroit-style pizza. We enjoyed ourselves so much that we purchased some gift certificates. Our server was warm, enthusiastic, knowledgeable and efficient. The manager came out in person to check on us, and she personally completed the transaction for the gift certificates. Classy. We will return soon, and in the meantime we have been devouring leftovers from the amply-sized pizza (as a cheese lover, I especially appreciated the crust on the Detroit-style pie, which included a lace “shell” of well cooked Italian cheese. A tasty touch!). Thanks, AJ’s!

If I could give the atmosphere more than 5 stars I would! Make sure you check out the bathroom on your visit always good to wash your hands. The pizza was very tasty and a great price with the lunch special. 2 slices and drink for like $8. They have a pepperoni and chili pineapple pizza which was super tasty. They also have a tasty hot hunny for for dipping the crust in.

Fun fact - ate here because of how good the food smelled from the street (was not planning on eating there at first). Pizzas are perfect - excellent flavor, thin crust(but not see-through), crispy but not burnt, exactly the right amount of oil and not greasy, garlic “nots” (it’s garlic bread), are delightfully crispy with perfect amount of oil and marinara for dipping, meatball sub was phenomenal, (basil, garlic and mozzarella perfectly combined to provide excellent flavor) & meatballs were perfect texture - firm but still moist and juicy- and the bun toasted to perfection (not to mention of high quality). Staff are friendly, ambiance is fun (check out the gold toilet in the- clean- bathroom and the “press to party” button for an impromptu disco while you wash your hands) - we’ll be back, highly recommend. This is my new favorite pizza place!

Nice pizza place. Had the Lombardi’s cheese pie, John’s pepperoni pie and a Caesar Salad. Everything was delicious. The sauce on the pizzas was tasty and on the robust side (which we enjoyed). Went in thinking it would probably be another overhyped place. I was extremely wrong, it lived up to the hype. Reminded me of growing up in Queens - absolutely delicious and our waitress Marissa was so incredibly friendly & knowledgeable. Really happy to have this place around! We really enjoyed AJ’s! My vegan husband ordered the Bushwick Vegan and loved it. I got the Maui Wowie Detroit and WOW — 30/10! The cheese and marinara sauce were unlike anything I’ve had before. Cocktails were delicious, and we had such a great lunch sitting at the bar watching the game. My only regret is not ordering dessert.

We ordered delivery from AJ’s for the Super Bowl, and it did not disappoint. I think the Detroit-style pizza was the favorite over the New York–style, but either way, nothing was left of either pie, the garlic knots, or the meatballs. We’ll probably have to dine in next time since a lot of people say it has a fun atmosphere. In the meantime, AJ’s can say they came away with a win on Super Bowl Sunday.
