Globe tavern has made me feel like I’m home at my local bar since I got to New York. I can’t express the happiness I found this place since I’m a introvert. I Meet amazing people and they made me feel like I’m at home.

It's a lively and friendly bar, with fun events, such as Open Mic Night, Trivia Night & Karaoke Saturdays. I can always count on co-owner and bartender, Rena, to make the best of any drink that I order.

Cozy neighborhood bar. Quiet most nights and hardly crowded unless its special events or special sports games. All the bartenders are great especially Rena who is also an owner. They are constantly doing fundraiser events for different good causes. Truly a neihgborhood staple. And the pool table and board games in the back are great for a fame night with friends. And BYOF they are cool with you bringing food to the bar.

The Globe Tavern is a great, casual spot in Queens. They have plenty of games (darts, pool and foosball included), friendly bartenders and always have fun events on their calendar. If you're ever in the neighborhood on a Monday night, definitely swing by for the best trivia in NYC hosted by Navin!

The Brogue (recently renamed The Globe) is a friendly pub with attentive staff.I have been going here for the last couple of years and always have a good time. They have started entertainment nights including open mic night, trivia, live music and karaoke.

The owner is Wonderful. All the bartenders are attentive and friendly. I also love the atmosphere and the fact that they have an outdoor area in the back. The bathrooms were clean and the service was 5 Stars.

The perfect neighborhood pub. Friendly staff, lots of locals of all ages, a backyard in the summertime, a pool table, karaoke & trivia. Nothing trendy about this bar, which is what makes it a staple of the community.

Nice local Woodside spot for a midweek beer. My running club comes here on Tuesdays. It's usually never packed then and service is good.

Great bar, local feel but you get a mixed crowd. The bartender Rena is god's gift to the world and should be tipped accordingly.

And they open early at around noon so you can catch an early game or come in for a drink in peace.

The owner does a good job of keeping out miscreants.The Globe has a backyard patio, pool table, darts, board games, trivia and karaoke nights. What else can you ask for? oh yeah, a bunch of BIG Tvs for all your sports needs. A must visit when in Sunnyside Queens.

I often bring snacks and food since they don't serve it and even have a tradition of trading sour candy with Amanda. Rena does the best job of keeping this place a safe space where all feel welcome and respected. I direct everyone here when they are in town.

We love The Globe! We love The Globe! It's the perfect neighborhood (and beyond!) bar. Bartenders are genuine and there's a weekly line-up of events including karaoke and trivia. Oh, and there’s a pool table tucked in the back of the bar and cute garden area, as well. The Saturday market I went to was full of truly great local vendors (note that the market isn't every weekend). So happy to have this place on our block! :)

Good place for a drink

A great spot for a cool beer,play pool,shoot darts. A very friendly lady at the counter always cheerful and genuine.

No food, but you can bring your own. Nice tap selection.

A local watering hole you might even call a dive. Tons of space inside the dimly lit and dark wood bar. Friendly service and fair pricing. Cute patio out back, but nearly unusable in summer as it's also where all their AC condensing units are. Making it hotter/noisier than you'd expect.

Epitome of mediocre bar. It's not bad, and you can get drunk there cheaper than other bars in the area.

You can usually get a seat but this place is pretty run down...which is why you can get a seat

The karaoke dj is rude. We were the largest table in the place and he was aggressive and told us to stop singing too much. They were very empty when we arrived and the staff came every 5 minutes to see if we were still drinking. The staff is racist and obviously give special treatment to white people.

The bartender they have here is racist. One night I went there with a few friends and just because most of us were Spanish the bartender wrote on the music booth in "her Spanish writing" no more music and was serving our drinks with attitude. We still tipped her miserable ass!!!!

So having been here before and had a positive experience, I decided to come in for a drink. First of all the bartender (who I later found out is the owner) took my drink order and clearly had an attitude, pretending as if she couldn't hear the correct order. I gave her $20 for my beer, and after waiting for my change back thinking maybe she forgot, I inquired and to my shock she claimed I gave her $5 and I know she knows the amount that I gave her. I will absolutely not be coming here again and I advise others to be very careful especially if she is bartending. I will do everything possible to spread the word on this horrifying display of business professionalism.
