We had a party of 11 everyone enjoyed the food. Our server was on point. Drinks stayed full.The sailors boil was excellent. Walt's shrimp was great as always. Tried the new appetizer, crispy dragon calamari. It was a hit. Will definitely be back The wait was minimal. Keep up the great work.

From the moment I walked through the doors, it was clear that she approaches her job with the perfect blend of professionalism, warmth, and genuine care for her guests. Red Lobster is known for great seafood, but employees like Mehkayla are what turn a simple meal into a memorable experience. Right away, she greeted us with an upbeat energy that didn’t feel forced—it felt sincere. She has that rare ability to make every table feel like the most important one in the room, even when the restaurant is busy. She checked in just the right amount: always present, always attentive, but never hovering or rushing us. It’s a balance many servers never quite master, but she handles it with ease. Her menu knowledge was also impressive. Whether it was describing the flavor differences between shrimp preparations, suggesting the perfect entrée for someone who couldn’t decide, or offering drink pairings that actually made the meal better, she spoke with confidence and enthusiasm. She even offered helpful suggestions for someone in our group with dietary restrictions, and it genuinely seemed like she cared about getting everything just right. What really stood out, though, was her attitude. Even during the dinner rush, she was smiling, calm, and patient. You could tell she puts real effort into making sure her guests have a stress-free, enjoyable experience. When a small issue came up with an order, she handled it on the spot with zero fuss and had the kitchen correct it immediately. Her professionalism turned something that could’ve been frustrating into no big deal at all. On top of all that, she has a great personality—friendly, funny, and easy to talk to. She created an atmosphere where the whole table felt comfortable and relaxed. It's obvious she enjoys what she does, and that passion makes such a huge difference in the dining experience. Our drinks stayed full, our food came out perfectly timed, and the entire evening felt smooth and effortless thanks to her attention to detail. Hospitality isn’t just about delivering plates—it’s about creating memorable moments, and that’s exactly what she did. If every restaurant had a Mehkayla, dining out would always be a 5-star experience. Red Lobster is incredibly lucky to have her, and anyone who gets her as a server is guaranteed an amazing visit. I’ll definitely be returning, and I’ll absolutely be asking for her again!
I had a great experience at Red Lobster recently. The food was fresh, tasty, and came out quickly, but the highlight was our server, Becca. She was friendly, attentive, and made excellent recommendations. Her service really made the meal enjoyable. I’ll definitely be returning—and hoping to sit in Becca’s section again!
Truthfully I’ve only gone to red lobster a handful of times, but decided to stop in while I was in town. I had a pleasant experience my server, Becca I believe, was super helpful and friendly and just overall made my visit amazing. I really enjoyed my food and loveee the biscuits!!!
Annestelle, was an absolute joy to have as a server. She was attentive, offered suggestions and handled my experience with good care. Thanks for setting the bar high for these other restaurants. 👏🏾
My daughter and I went in for lunch today. The hostess was very sweet. Our server's name was Jacob. He was very attentive! We ordered the new boil bags. Delicious! Our drinks never went empty and the wait wasn't bad at all. The experience was over all amazing! We will definitely back.
Took Lil Sis and Ma for birthday lunch, everything was beyond expectations. Wade explained everything, we had the Sailor's Boil and the Friday fish and Chips, we ordered way too much, Wade was great. The manager Ember made sure everything was great. Thanks for the memories and see you soon!
I am in town on a work trip. I have one night in Abilene and I came to this restaurant. It’s an old favorite of mine and most across Texas seem to have shut down including my sorta local one in Bryan, TX. The foods the same which I appreciate but the service here was really really good which made the “not as exciting as other locations” decor and atmosphere better. Nonetheless the place is clean and staff is great so I would recommend it. I had a waitress named Kehaulani and she does and excellent job. I would ask for her.
Exceptional food! We were the very first ones in the restaurant so we got the pic of seating. Service was fast and very good weight staff. We did have one problem, but our waiter was very quick and attentive. We will definitely come back anytime we are in the area! One of the better red lobster restaurants we have experienced!
I ordered the Ultimate endless shrimp combo with bacon and mac n cheese and a Starry soda, my friend ordered the same Ultimate endless shrimp combo with a side salad and thousand island dressing and a Dr pepper. We tried out the shrimp linguini the garlic shrimp scampi the coconut shrimp the tequila lime shrimp and also the Walt shrimp. We also tried the dragon shrimp and sweet chili sauce. Of course that couldn't be a true Red lobster visit without their world famous garlic cheddar biscuits! Not to mention for starters we had the clam chowder amazing I must say. Me and my friend both agree that the best dishes on point were the garlic shrimp scampi and the tequila lime shrimp. Our server Anthony was an awesome server made sure our drinks are always filled and did not rush us while we were eating. I do recommend asking for him if you ever stop by Red lobster in Abilene. Excellent service excellent food and an awesome atmosphere! Good place to eat if you need a nice place to go out or if you just need your shrimp fix. This would be the place. Pictures posted with this review were the dishes that I consumed.
This is the only Red Lobster in Abilene and it was such a wonderful experience. My son took me here for Mother's Day and I could not have had a better experience or food. I had the Seafood platter with lobster and two types of shrimp along with Caesar salad and broccoli. It was so delicious!!! The waitress and service was impeccable. One person in our party had several food allergies so we ask for the manager. The manager was so thorough and took the issue very seriously and talked with the chef. We had a wonderful lunch and experience. I can't wait to go back next time I'm in Abilene. Highly recommend!!!

Only 4 stars for the food, but the food was really tasty. Just wish it was hotter and the wine was colder. Our waiter was amazing and was happy to accommodate any special requests. This was a great value and we absolutely recommend! Happy dinning!

Food was good. I tried the shrimp boil. The service wasn't that good. It didn't look that busy plenty of tables available. Waitress kept disappearing and would come back ask if we needed anything then forget to bring it. Waited about 30 - 40 mins just for a to-go box and the check.
It’s sad how far this Red Lobster has fallen. We visited Red Lobster for dinner and were let down right off the bat. We waited for a long time to be greeted at the front. We finally were seated. Our server was pretty much absent most of our meal. We ordered water and tea nothing complicated and it took a bit to receive our drinks. Much later the cheddar biscuits came along. There would be no refills on those tonight. We ordered a NY Strip with Brussels Sprouts and Coconut Shrimp, clams, and Bacon Wrapped Scallops with Mac and Cheese and my sister had mashed potatoes. Now the wait here was so long we were all mad and ready to leave at this point. The meals except for the steak were bland. We asked for cocktail sauce and never received any. The servers were too busy playing and complaining which just add the final straw on our backs. We will never be back.

With the afternoon of, me and my coworker decided to pop into Red Lobster to have lunch. Oh no...we stood....and stood. Another couple were sested in my view, mulling over their menues. And we stood....for 26 flippin' minutes not one (ONE) employee could be seen! We walked out.🙃
Malala was our sever and she was prompt, polite and very professional. She took very good care of us and our needs as customer very well. I would recommend red lobster to anybody and recommed Malala as an excellent sever. The food was excellent as well. Thank you Red Lobster and Malala for a wonderful experience at this establishment.
IT SUCKED!! WE CAME IN A PARTY of 6.. the food really was cold I wanted to try this again I wanted it to be better this time 291 for the price is not worth it!! I wanted it to be better this time but it was not the food was cold and it was just disgusting the pasta that I got what's supposed to be alfredo it tasted like buttered noodles and that's it!! We sat there for an hour and a half waiting for our food weighted at least 30 minutes for an alcoholic drink the waitress said she had to keep telling the kitchen staff to get the food done.. but then brought food and no silverware so we waited about 15 min for someway to eat why is it so hard to get a good review here?? I use to love red lobster!! But now it's just nasty and not edible.. I mean come on do better please I beg y'all!! Coconut. Shrimp was burnt and cold.. I just don't get it .. 😞😞
