Neighborhood Services in Addison is highly praised for its excellent food, attentive service, and impressive bar. Standout dishes include the Steak Frites, Butcher's Meatballs, and daily specials. Some find the entrance and atmosphere surprising, but overall experience is fantastic.

Tip: Parking on Friday is super rough, so plan accordingly. The daily specials, especially on Wednesday (bolognese) and Thursday (chicken pot pie), are highly recommended.

Very laid back place with incredible burgers. We tried the magic mushroom burger, which was served with pesto which made for a very delicious combination. I also highly recommend the truffle fries. I'm not sure what the dipping sauce was but we loved it.
We were greeted at the door and given a great review of the menu. Then Balance our attendant came to the table often, getting refills for us. I just have to say the crispy Brussels Sprouts were amazing!!! We had different burgers and the Cadillac Burger was the best ever. Our attendant overheard my comment about the banana pudding shake and brought me a sample to try. We had an amazing experience here!
The food was so fresh, hot and delicious. Everything was prepared as ordered. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The WAGU beef was amazing. The burger bowl was superb. Great fries. They were also fresh and hot.
Best place to eat on top of that. They got the best staff in the world. The environment is great and clean and they take care of me and everyone else 100% every time no matter what.
This is my favorite burger place. My dad came from Korea, and I took him here—he was absolutely delighted. I always order the Wagyu Burger and the Classic, and they’re so delicious. I didn’t know they had a small size for the sweet potato fries, so I was glad to learn about that. My server, Balanced, was really cheerful and friendly. Even though the milkshake machine was broken, they fixed it and made our shakes, and they kept checking to make sure we had everything we needed. It was truly a delicious and happy experience.
Burgers and fries were hot, fresh and delicious. So glad they had a kids menu as it worked out perfectly for our 7 year old. They even have kids shakes that were the perfect size! We ordered through a very nice man named Balanced and he checked on us consistently to ensure we had everything we needed. We will definitely be back!
I've been coming here for a while now and the food is just amazing. The Cadillac Burger is the BEST burger I've ever had. The service is good always checking up on you and giving you a good laugh. They seem to remember customers very well. This seems like a once to twice a month place for me though haha, but definitely a worth while place and will continue to come back!
I had an amazing experience at Hopdoddy Burger Bar thanks to the incredible balance and management of the team. Everyone worked together seamlessly, and the service was friendly, efficient, and attentive without ever feeling rushed. You can tell the management does a great job creating a positive environment. It truly enhances the entire dining experience.
Balance and management at Hopdoddy Burger Bar truly set the standard for great service. The team is well-organized, attentive, and clearly led by strong management that cares about both customers and staff. The experience was smooth, welcoming, and enjoyable from start to finish. Excellent service paired with an overall positive atmosphere makes this place stand out.
Hopdoddy Burger Bar delivers an outstanding experience, and it all starts with great management and team balance. The service was top-notch—fast, friendly, and well-coordinated. The staff was upbeat and professional, which made the visit even better. It’s clear this location is well-managed and committed to providing excellent service every time.
Amazing food, atmosphere was amazing. We have to talk about a certain server greeter by the name of Balanced. Wow this guys was so knowledgeable about the menu was very helpful and was very attentive. I haven’t seen this type of service in a very long time.
I’m into a lot of burger places in my day but this one definitely it’s top of the list! Great vibe chill atmosphere super friendly staff. Food was incredible and they got everything perfect. If you have the pleasure of getting served by one of the guys named balance, consider yourself lucky! He is straight up a legend
The Mountain Moon burger, the burger of the month for November, is unreal. The combo of sweet, salty, and tangy flavors is just spot on. Best burger I’ve ever had here. Please add it to the menu! Sweet potato fries were so yum. I love that they have a lettuce wrap option for sensitive/low carb folks. The customer service was wonderful as always.
Hopdoddy is one of my favorite places to stop in. No matter what town, what city, or what state I am in, Hopdoddy comes through every time. Not to mention, I absolutely enjoy the perks of being a Legend rewards member. Thank you for giving back to loyal customers. Edit: I got straight to the food and forgot to take pics lol.
Never heard of this place as me and my wife just moved here from Houston. Was recommended this place by a close friend. Service was exceptional, food was off the charts good and it seemed liked every food we tried had its own flavor experience. Even things I’ll admit i was scared to try. Awesome food. A little on the pricey side but i will return and recommend to others as it was a well rounded good experience. Sometimes you get what you pay for. The experience and quality alone is enough to make up for the price.
We had dinner tonight at Neighborhood Services and it was a fantastic experience from start to finish. Our server, Clayton, was absolutely incredible. He struck the perfect balance between being attentive and giving us space to enjoy our meal. Our drinks were never empty, often refilled before we even thought to ask, which says a lot about his awareness and professionalism. We started with the onion dip, which was so good we finished the chips almost immediately. The staff kindly brought us more without hesitation. The deviled eggs were excellent, and our kids especially enjoyed them, which is always a win when dining as a family. I ordered the ribs and they were outstanding, incredibly tender and truly fell off the bone. The French fries were also excellent. My son ordered the salmon and it was cooked perfectly and very flavorful. One detail that really stood out was how clean the restrooms were. It is a small thing that speaks volumes about the care and standards of the entire operation. Every staff member we interacted with was friendly and welcoming. Huge kudos again to Clayton and the entire team. We will absolutely be coming back and look forward to our next visit.
This is one of my most favorite Dallas establishments. Absolutely amazing food and cocktails and fabulous service. You can't go wrong, no matter what you order. (The butcher's meatballs appetizer is definitely a must in my opinion.)
I visited for the first time last month and was impressed by the excellent food and attentive, friendly service. On my return visit, I sat at the bar where Carlos warmly welcomed me back. He even remembered my previous order, asking if I would like the same drink, which I found very impressive. His attentiveness and professionalism made the experience truly memorable. This level of service, combined with the outstanding food, makes this restaurant a place I look forward to returning to.
I will admit, I was not impressed when I first arrived but that was 100% my fault. To me, has a more of an upscale "pub" vibe which isn't my thing. So glad I was proven wrong to myself. The restaurant is located in an extremely busy area, esp. for a Saturday eve., however they have valet parking. Arrived a little before our 7:00 p.m. reservation and was seated right at 7:00. Booth was plated for 4 but was a perfect size for the two of us. Our waiter was attentive but not overly pushy. Seemed to arrive just at the right time to refill water and ask how things were. The manger stopped by and thanked us for coming since this was our first time, which was a nice touch. However, the food? Amazing! Had the blood orange margarita, which was delicious. The deviled eggs were good, not spectacular but good, nonetheless. The closer: the Nova Scotia halibut with couscous special. Perfect blend of flavors. I would go back again just for that! I ate only half so today I warmed it up on 20% in the nuker for 5 minutes and it came out just as delicious as when it was served yesterday. Will definitely go back if that's ever on the menu again.
Always perfect service and food. I love the daily specials. So fun! My favorite days are Wednesday and Thursday; Wednesday showcases a lovely bolognese and Thursday has a savory chicken pot pie with a cheddar crust. As a barfly.... If you’re looking for an unforgettable night out, do yourself a favor and find Carlos behind the bar. This man is not just a bartender—he’s an artist, a storyteller, and knows exactly what he is doing. From the moment you sit down, Carlos makes you feel like a VIP whether you're a regular or a first-timer. His knowledge of spirits is unparalleled, and whether you’re in the mood for a classic Old Fashioned, a perfectly balanced margarita, or something completely off-menu, he crafts each drink with precision and passion. I loved how he knew what I wanted when I ordered a Fernet and Coke. He asked, "The Argentinian way?" which was a pleasant surprise. It's how I love it but, usually, am too shy to ask since some bartenders don't know what i'm talking about, but he knew right away with the addition of the lime, perfectly donned salt rim. Overall, the ambiance is warm. Definitely neighborly and a lovely place to visit, or call home.
The entrance is strangely on the side but it’s very private. Also how it leads into the dining hall away from the layout of tables helps the diners who are seated nearer to the door not having to deal with incoming traffic of people. Our waiter with a stylish moustache was very attentive; checking in every now and then and helpful with boxing up our leftovers, which shows how big the portions are here. We ordered a braised beef nachos for starters (beautiful blend of beef and picco de gallo) Wagyu chicken fried steak ( beautiful blend of spices the battered steak accompanied with silky smooth mashed potatoes) and a Dirty Delmanico steak (tender and deliciously smokey accompanied by crunchy thin fries). Dessert was Banana Pudding Parfait (yummy and a good balance of creamy and banana bites).
Stopped by Neighborhood Services on a random Thursday afternoon and had a great experience. We were greeted by a really friendly hostess and decided to sit outside since it was golden hour—perfect timing. We started with the Red Sea-Salted Russet Fries and Butcher’s Meatballs, and the sauce that came with the meatballs was so good we ended up dipping our fries in it. I’d heard good things about the pot pie, which they only serve on Thursdays, so I gave it a shot, and it didn’t disappoint. Chicken and veggies were cooked just right, with a nice flaky crust. Service was great too—Aimee, our server, was super helpful with her recommendations. Overall, awesome food and great service. Will definitely be back!
Neighborhood Services is one of my new favorites in the Beltline food district. I’ve tried many of the restaurants around this area and didn’t notice this unassuming establishment. It’s upscale and has an impressive bar. The Steak Frites London Broil is worth every penny. The tuna and avocado appetizer was spot on. My buddy said it’s one of the best burgers he’s had as well.
Food was really great so were the drinks.. We had gulf shrimp(very less quantity of shrimps though), chicken picatta and blackened mahi with grits special. Not a grits person but still liked it. We had brownie dessert which was good not exceptional ! Parking on Friday is super rough. Had to call and push reservation by 15 minutes. Come early on Friday! If a party of 4, seating on the small booths is going to be tight.. specially if you also have coats on the booth.
The real SCOOP! I forgot how good this place was…..so glad my lunch meeting was set here!!!! SO fresh & SO delish!!! Every single staff member was nice, cordial, Alyssa was our waiter was SHARP & on point! Like the knife at this place clean and useful not dull and customary that usually find at other establishments. She was great gave good suggestions and best of all well prepared! The food no complaints and the flavor top notch paired with the ambience perfect (just walk to the restroom and see why) Well Well Done!!! I’ll be back VERY soon! Thank you for being closer to home!
This was our second time dining at Neighborhood Services, and it was just as pleasant as the first. The first time, it sort of hides between two buildings giving it a touch of speakeasy vibes, but once you've been it's easy to notice. The first time, we were a little caught off guard by the decor. Simply put, it's weird 🥴. It's modern, but traditional, and nostalgic, and a touch of confederate if you will. Honestly we were concerned, but the staff is polite and welcoming, and seem to enjoy their job (rare these days). We ordered a few drinks, the asparagus appetizer and the meatballs. All of it was delicious. This visit, we ordered the asparagus and meatballs again, delicious. We also had the chicken sandwich, though when it arrived it looked dry; we were wrong. By the time half the sandwich was gone I had a beard full of juice and that delicious honey mustard sauce. Oops 😝 Definitely one of our favorites!
The food was marvelous the staff was a1. The waitress I had was super nice and sweet. I had to leave her a nice tip. The drinks were awesome. My steak was well done cooked to perfection it just melted in my mouth. Please go and try this restaurant out. The patio area was very nice in deed. Must go back
If I had to explain this restaurant to fellow foodies it would be: an affordable Town Hearth. I was so impressed by the service given to me tonight. The gentleman walked me though the specials and highlighted what to order as a first time patron. I selected the asparagus and steak frites. Everything was so delicious. I'll surely be back soon.
Solid food, friendly but haphazard service. I had the double bacon jam, which was delicious. I initially tried to order the magic mushroom, only to be told they were out of mushrooms. Other members of my party had special requests, which were mixed up. It took long enough to get our food in the first place that nobody wanted them corrected. One person ordered a fried chicken sandwich and it came out grilled. The parmesan truffle fries and hot brussels were both tasty. I'd go back--because the food was good--while hoping the chaos with the service was a one-off.
Wagyu Smash - (9/10): Enjoyed the burger, the sauce and pickles complement the wagyu’s fattiness and flavor. I consider the burger was on the smaller side for the price, but then again it is Wagyu. (I don’t know the difference flavor wise between American Wagyu or Japanese Wagyu, but I believe it is American Wagyu). Great, a bit pricey at $14. Parmesan Truffle Crispy Brussel Leaves -(9/10): I liked this a lot more than I thought. I usually don’t order these types of things, but I’m glad I did. Seasoned really well, texture is like smoked crispy seaweed. Parmesan Truffle Fries -(8/10): For those who like crispy fries, this is a great selection. It was lacking the potato flavor I think due to being cut so small. Overall, food had great flavor. Service was minimal but good. Price point a bit on the higher side for the burgers. The sides are definitely worth the portion size.
Green chili queso the most delicious thing we tasted, should really have a burger with it. Mushroom burger good but pesto did not belong... waguy smash had mucj more yummy beefy flavor than the traditional patty.
Great fish & chips... . I had previously enjoyed the banana pudding. We went back again, and they served us what seemd to be something that was made the day before. The bananas were turning, the vanilla pudding was liquidity, and the meringue texture was stale. Very disappointing 😞. Will be a while before I ever try it again. Additionally, the accompanying coffee was cool. Overall, a very disappointing experience.
Decent food. The problem with this place is they do not bring out your burger with your fries. I have never been to a burger place that does not serve burgers with fries.
I had high hopes for the fish and chips, but it was a huge letdown. The batter was thick, gooey, and unpleasant, with a terrible texture that made it seem undercooked. I took two bites and sent it back. Thankfully, I wasn't charged for the dish, but after that experience, I lost my appetite and didn’t order anything else. My husband had the burger and loved it, and he also raved about the fries, which I agree were delicious. Despite the disappointment with the fish, the service was excellent, and the atmosphere was relaxed. I’d be willing to return to try another dish based on that. Overall, I’d rate the experience a 3/10.
Good restaurant with a couple of misses. The service was excellent. They have an extensive drink menu as well. Star dishes are the fried cauliflower and Butcher meatballs. The entrées weren't as good. The burger was just ok, and the schnitzel was dry and lacked flavor. Overall, a fun place to go for drinks and grab a few quick bites.
2.3 stars. 1st time customer. Experience was “meh”. Ordered chicken tenders and a side of regular fries. Total with tip came out to right at $20. Chicken tenders were greasy and not crispy. Fries were soggy and not impressive. Service team was friendly as expected but nothing beyond average. Restaurant was clean as well. With so many great options nearby, I just don’t see that Hopdoddy is worth a try. Definitely won’t be back.
First and foremost, fantastic atmosphere. I really want to enjoy the dining experience here and have tried a few times, but just too many better options in Addison. First of all, the waiter continues to tell us the owner here is from the north. So they do not serve Diet Coke or sweet tea. Just seems odd for a state who loves their tea, and name a more passionate beverage base than Diet Coke fans. Apps are fairly decent, enjoyed the fried asparagus, but just felt like the flavor and portion size for the salads were off. 3 shrimp on the shrimp Caesar salad, but about 2 chicken breast for the Cobb salad. You can tell the owner is unfamiliar with fried chicken, as the chicken breading lacked crunch and seasoning. Service was fine, but was lacking any warmth or polish. Overall id look elsewhere.
You know I’m not completely against pre-tipping. I mean tips was originally an acronym for To Insure Prompt Service. When I cruise I pre pay gratuities. But on a Royal Caribbean cruise the service is so GREAT I always leave more … I will NEVER AGAIN leave a tip at Hopdoddy. I left a generous 20% tip … one employee brought me my food and didn’t seem to like the fact that I was there so late. Well I’m sorry I drove from Houston to Dallas and was starving and wanted a good burger. The bartender that took my order suggested a both because I’m sure he didn’t want me to sit at his bar so I guess it was the “server” waiting on that booth that brought me my food. But NO ONE checked to see if I needed a refill on my water … didn’t even come by to see if my food was ok. SERIOUSLY. If you go to this Hopdoddy do NOT tip when you order and pay. Take cash and if they do a good job you can tip them. FOOD WAS GREAT. Service was worse than fast food.
