It is usually hard to find a ramen place with genuinely good vegan or vegetarian options. They usually just feel like an afterthought. But this place completely nailed it. I ordered the Vegan Tofu Curry with wheat noodles, and everything about it was just too damn good! The broth was incredibly creamy, the portion sizes are huge, and the in-house made noodles are so fluffy and fresh. Shoutout to the amazing servers, too! If you love ramen (vegan or not), you need to add this place to your list immediately. I will definitely be coming back!
We came here for the first time and enjoyed the flavorful ramen we had. The place is cute, clean, and our waitress gave us great service. They offer a variety of food options that aren’t ramen too.
This place blew my expectations out of the water. I was looking for a good ramen place with high reviews. I expected the typical ramen house vibe. I was wrong. I had seen the wagyu ramen online and was very interested. Let me just say, from the moment I walked in to the moment I walked out full of amazing ramen (and I took some chicken kastu and rice to go for later) I was incredibly impressed. Ni was phenomenal at her job. From being polite and greeting me when I arrived. To taking care of prepping tables for other customers, taking orders, refilling drinks and seating people. She was incredible. She was very attentive and made sure my water cup was not empty and I was happy with my food. She even gave a great recommendation for then next time I come here (which I will, its that good). The wagyu truffle ramen was beyond incredible. The flavors were great, meat was perfect and the peppercorns in there were a great touch. I also had the takoyaki which was very tasty and flavorful. Overall it was an incredible experience and now one of my top places to go for some ramen.
The inside is really cute and cozy. The service was amazing, Aleeza acknowledged that it was my first time here and explained the menu thoroughly for me which was very helpful. She was attentive which made me feel really taken care of. I got the akuma ramen which was really yummy. Will definitely be coming back, thank you Aleeza!
I was extremely pleased with my meal. I ordered chicken katsu curry rice with an egg and it was delicious. The curry was full of flavor and the chicken was juicy and crispy. My waiter, Samuel, was very kind and helpful. He was attentive and had a great personality. I appreciated his service. I will be coming back especially for the curry!
My fam of 3 visited Nishiki Ramen today, because I've been craving ramen for some time now! This place?? SO GOOD. Restaurant is in a new build. We went during the week and around lunch time, so it was super quiet and far from packed. Service was great and our server was super attentive! Our food also came out super quick and was delicious! They offer a simple, but free, appetizer called "The Shake" (I think, lol - name might be wrong!) but it was a great treat!
Typically, there are only one or two vegan options at a Ramen spot, but this place has SIX! 😱🍜 Customer service 🌟 :: Very welcoming! ● Vegan Soy Karaage Curry 🌟 :: 4.5 This was very good!! I had them put the fried soy meat on the side bc I didn't want it soggy, and I also wasn't going to eat it all. I don't consume mock meats often, but I wanted to try it anyway. I ate a couple of pieces and left the rest. The soy meat is pretty decent, but going forward, I'd omit it. I'm trying the spicy one next time!! 😋 #MyRatingsAreFrom1to5 🌟
Excellent Ramen. They rank their most popular dishes on the menu and #1 is the Smoked Bomb Black which we tried this evening. The broth was exceptionally rich and flavorful and the noodles were perfection. We also had the chicken curry katsu but it didn’t hold a candle to the Smoked Bomb Black, a definite must try. Great Job!
AMAZING RAMEN PLACE!! They were super quick to seat us and bring our food out! The vibe is really easy going and it seems like the next door ramen shop. Our server Mary-Anne was the BEST too! She’s super kind and very attentive, and she was the only server working in the restaurant. This place has been open for only a year so it’s brand new too!
A great place to have a good bowl of ramen. Safe to say this would be one of local favorites for authentic Japanese ramen. We came in after Google search nearby ramen place for dinner. Great location across the street from Mitsuwa Japanese Market. Nishiki Ramen big sign outside. You won't miss it. We came in and welcomed by front desk staff. The host were friendly and kindly introduced their menu. Big shout to Nghi our server at the time. She explained the special menu and gave some recommendations. She also helped us fixing what the dish made a mistake. They fixed I for us. We enjoyed our ramen, Takoyaki, and edamame. They also got nice free treats to try. If you are first time trying ramen, you can't go wrong with their no 1 and not with Tonkotsu creamy ramen. We came home full. Highly recommend for visitors or ramen lovers. 🍜🇯🇵⛩️
I had a great time here. The food was absolutely delicious. The serving staff is friendly and quick. She was also very knowledgeable. My kid got Squid Takoyaki and ate it all, even the ones I had! Normally we get the shrimp Takoyaki, but apparently Squid was a definite favorite here. It was better than the ones we ate in Tokyo, I dare say. We also had dietary restrictions and had a variety of options and all of them were flavorful! We will definitely come back!
This place is phenomenal! We had the Smoke Bomb Black and the Akuma ramen. The black ramen was complex and delicious, and was really a bowl of absolute perfection. The Akuma was spicy and the tonkatsu was rich, creamy and one of the best we’ve had. The ambience is cute, the staff is very attentive and friendly and checked on us multiple times just to refill our water. I think me and my wife have found our go to ramen place. Strongly recommend!!
Had amazing authentic ramen here today. I love ramen hunting and have probably tried almost all the spots in LA and Dallas. Nisihiki is one of my favorites. The noodles are perfect and the broth is just right. Chicken Karaage is also unique and not your typical karaage. It’s extremely juicy with a lot of meat. Portions are big so come here hungry! Service is very friendly and the space is clean and new!
We had such a great experience at Nishiki Ramen on Legacy. We arrived about 30 minutes before closing, and instead of rushing us out, the staff welcomed us warmly and encouraged us to stay and enjoy our meal without any pressure. That kind of hospitality set the tone right away. The menu was super easy to navigate, especially for first-timers. The pictures next to each dish made it simple to browse, and we appreciated that. While we waited for the food, the kids were kept entertained with coloring sheets provided by the staff, which was such a thoughtful touch for families. The decor is mostly wood, giving the whole place a cozy, grounded, and earthy feel. It’s well-lit, clean, and you can see straight into the kitchen, which adds a nice authentic vibe to the dining experience. It truly felt like a traditional Japanese ramen shop. Now let’s talk about the food—absolutely delicious. Everyone at the table enjoyed their meals. The flavors were rich, well-balanced, and deeply satisfying. I finished every last drop of my bowl. Only heads up: they don’t take American Express. But aside from that, it was a fantastic experience. We’ll definitely be back.
Decided to try this place on a whim and was pleasantly surprised! We ordered the chicken karaage as a starter which was hot, crunchy and flavorful. My ramen of choice was the Notorius GGG which was packed with lots of garlic which I love! Tasty food and friendly service; will be back in the future.
The fried chicken was well marinated and juicy. The breading was thin but crispy. The seasoning was quite different, and I could taste distinctive ginger flavor. The black garlic oil ramen was not bad, and even better with some spicy paste. If you like strong spice flavor, this ramen is the way to go, since it combines garlic, red ginger, and diced green onion The Yokohama ramen was way too salty. It was tolerable when you finish the noodles and put in rice.
I’ve come here about 3-4 times, I always get the chicken ramen. It could be more flavourful but it’s not bad, noodles are good and the toppings. Only thing that sucks is there’s not that many non pork options and sometimes you’re waiting quite a bit for a drink refill. But workers are nice and store is pretty clean, not too busy usually.
The establishment was new, bright and clean. The host desk looked a bit messy and not professional though. The server was very friendly but kept forgetting the additional topping, egg, I ordered. I reminded it to the server once and still did not receive it; then I gave up on it. The presentation of the ramen was pretty good. The soup tasted good and no surprise; the noodle was too soft and the pork chashu seemed not fresh and tasted a bit sour. Not a good impression for the first time visit. The price was also higher than What I got regarding its portion and value.
Overall, the food at Nishiki Ramen in Plano was good, but the service and experience left a lot to be desired. When we visited, the ice machine was broken, which meant no refills and having to purchase canned drinks instead. What was odd is that we were seated and served warm water without being informed of the ice issue upfront. For a restaurant of this caliber, that felt like a basic communication miss, especially since it directly impacts the dining experience. Our waiter was inattentive throughout the meal. We repeatedly had to flag down other servers just to get simple requests handled. This was particularly frustrating because automatic gratuity was added for our party of six, yet the level of service did not reflect the cost of that gratuity. The restaurant itself is very nice, which made these issues stand out even more. It felt off that something as fundamental as the ice situation hadn’t been addressed or clearly communicated. Additionally, while the food was good, the pricing is on the higher end for ramen — around $18.99 per bowl, which is above average and raises expectations for service that unfortunately were not met. Good food, but the service and overall execution need improvement to justify the price and automatic gratuity.
