Place is next to ocean! We tried their mocktails and they were amazing! Mofongo was pretty solid as well! Good spot if you are in the Aguadilla area! Pro tip: If you stop here do make sure you go to parque colon which is few mins drive from here. Will be quick stop after lunch towards south side. Also the colorful building ‘Casas de colores’ is very close towards north. It depends in which direction your driving.

Very nice restaurant by the promenade, with beautiful ocean views especially from the second floor, which is open. Pleasant interiors, comfortable seating, clean restrooms, lively music. Quick and friendly service, tasty food, fair prices. Very good experience 😎

We were visiting Aguadilla for the day! Absolutely beautiful and breathtaking. We stopped in for a cold beverage and were not disappointed. Both young gentlemen behind the bar were courteous and friendly. They even mixed up this yummy cocktail for me.

Excellent food, service and ambiance. It was a bit cloudy so didn’t get to see the marvelous sunset.

Amazing food and amazing atmosphere. The service was great. And amazing views of the Aguadilla beach line. I recommend to come at sunset! The staff was very friendly and professional. The food came out fast and warm. I ordered the Sal de mar sampler and it was so delicious. It came with fried fish bits, calamari, fish empanadas, and stuffed mofongo with octopus served with chips lime and mayo ketchup. It was a big portion for about 3-4 people! Also had a nice flan for dessert. Definitely recommend this spot!

The ropa vieja, the pernil, the fish tacos, the turnovers, everything. Everything was made perfectly. The staff was super helpful and friendly even to english speaking tourists. Katia was a great server and handled our party of 6 very well. They also have a super hot sauce- if thats your thing- where you have to use a dropper, its so strong. I will definitely be back. Sal de Mar is Puerto Rican Perfection.

We done on the rooftop and the food was amazing. The service was a bit slow and it took forever to get our drinks. Vibes were pretty chill.

Amazing service at this restaurant. They are extremely accommodating. I ordered a beef dish, the meat was on the dry side. The views and atmosphere are lovely. The drinks are good and have amazing prices.

We dined on the rooftop and had an excellent experience. Our server, Jenny, did a great job suggesting drinks and food. We went with the Calamari as an appetizer. These were easily some of the best ones I've had. We ordered the Ribeye steak, it was perfectly cooked, and it had that nice grill taste with beautiful char marks. We went to see the sunset but the weather didn't agree. The view was still great. Overall, it was a great experience. A must go if you're in the area.

Whether you're passing through or staying the weekend, Sal de Mar is worth every dollar. We stayed at a local spot for the weekend and ate here twice. The menu has everything you would possibly want to eat. The staff is very warm and friendly, and the atmosphere is top notch. The drinks are cold and strong and the food is delicious. We are biased in that it's holiday season and it's poppin every night, everything from DJs to live entertainment. The sunsets are to die for and the pictures from upstairs are amazing. The restaurant is central to the entire sea wall, which makes it a short walk from most anywhere. It was our first experience and it will not be our last. Enjoy and see for yourself.

Paella de Marisco was delicious, with authentic flavors. Having visited Spain I can attest this one was very close to the ones I’ve had in Barcelona. It had so much seafood al over, a great balance of rice, and a variety of different seafood. Empanadas de carne were also very good. Overall a delicious meal worth the price. Fully recommend this place.

The food was delicious! The staff were very helpful and motivated. The staff is bilingual. They have outdoor, rooftop, and indoor dining options.

Loved sitting on the roof top, feeling the ocean breeze. The food was top notch and the prices were very reasonable. I would mention the roof tip portion is not handicap accessible, however there is a downstairs to enjoy.

Great ocean view from the restaurant. The food was very good. For apettiizer, we ordered the ceviche, and it was delicious!. Ordered the conch salad with a side of mofongo, an octopus salad also with a side of mofongo. The service was a bit off as I noticed they sent our appetizer to a different table to a couple that had just sat down. Once the waitress realized she went back to the kitchen and brought the appetizer and main course at the same time. It's a bit of a pain as you want to enjoy the appetizer before the meal. Overall, we enjoyed the place, views, and food. Will be back.

Tried the Fried Snapper, Octopus appetizer and fried chicken, all very good. Live music Friday evening. Bit on the pricey side but not out of the ordinary for seafoods.

Surf and Turf was excellent. Went with the vegetables and garlic sauce. All food was fresh and appetizers were excellent. Highly recommend the coconut mojito.

Jomarie is our Server; very professional & sweet. Great cocktail; The Coral is very balanced and appetite opener. Spectacular food; the Tostones with land Crab are huge and delicious. Very chunky Lobster cream with lots of lobster. The Lobster entree portion with Mofongo and the Rice with Crab and tostones is huge. We took it to our Airbnb because is super tasty. Awesome Sunset from the rooftop and very nice ambiance. A place to return many times. Great prices for the quality & quantity. Highly recommended!

After visiting another Resturant today and leaving a horrible review because it was horrible it was only right to come back and leave a great review for this place.... When I tell you this was the best food on the island, I mean it. From the service, to the food, to the quality. We arrived around 9:30 PM and whoever was working took their time to make everything . The snapper was cooked perfectly, the drinks were amazing , the octopus salad was super fire!!! Everything about this place was top notch. I would highly suggest this restaurant a million times. Being a chef and a hard critic (read my reviews) you'll understand. Thank you to all the the workers! These young women and men really took care of me and asked me continuously about how I was doing!

Wow!! Que Rico!! Not only does this have the taste of the island but also a view of it. You will feel like a mofongo connoisseur when the garlic sauce hits your palette. It is the taste of Puerto Rico and the special touch of the restaurant’s chef. Affordable and the staff is friendly. No worries if you are not an expert in Spanish because they are bilingual. A full recommendation for this place.

I definitely MUST post a review about this place. They have the BEST MOFONGO IN THE WORLD! Period. I had the Mar y Tierra Mofongo (surf and turf) with mushrooms sauce. It was to die for! Every single bit of food was a piece of heaven in my mouth. The staff is adorable, very professional, knowledgeable, whoever choses the staff nailed it. Kudos to Fabiola, her sister and every one for making us feel at home. Location is superb. They have a rooftop overlooking the bay. Ambiance is great.

We went on a super busy night and food took a little bit to get cooked (no worries) but our waitress was super attentive and checked on us while we were waiting. She even gave us a free round to apologize for it. The food was well worth the wait. It was a great experience and glad we went here!

10/10. No wait to get a table on a busy Sunday night. There was live music for “Paseo de la virgen del Carmen”. The live music was the cherry on top. Sang my little heart out to Señora Ponceña. The ceviche con planeturas was exquisite! I had their pizza empanadas and it was delicious. As for the cocktail, Playa was refreshing and perfect. I had the best night of my life with amazing food and drinks.

First time visiting this place. The location is awesome, you have the best view. The sushi was ok missing the wasabi. The pizza was excellent, will definitely recommend.

Arrived late, decided to check out this beachside spot. Prime location, diverse menu, fantastic drinks, and the snapper I had was a perfect 10/10 – incredibly fresh! 🏖️🍽️🍹 You can eat inside but there’s also a cool rooftop.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Absolutely perfect spot! Watched the sunset from the rooftop and had EXCELLENT seafood paella and a seafood medley in a garlic cream sauce. This was our favorite spot we visited (we came here twice) during our vacation in Puerto Rico. Jenny was a our server and she was incredibly sweet and good at explaining the menu to us non Spanish speaking people. She’s the best! I cannot wait to come back here next year. I would give it more than 5 stars if I could.

We wanted to have a dinner with an ocean view and Sal De Mar did not disappoint. The food was amazing, we all ordered something different and all of our plates were simply amazing. The staff was friendly and attentive. Our server Yadrielis was absolutely the best!! Definitely recommend and will go back again!!

This was a surprise find for us. The location and atmosphere is excellent. We just happened to get there right before it got really busy. We had a waitress that was working her very first day, so that led to being forgotten for 15 minutes or more at a time. However, she,as well as the other staff members, was really friendly. We ended up waiting for our appetizer approximately 20-25 minutes and our entrées for over 45 minutes. The food was great tasting, along with excellent presentation, but some of it was already cold like it had been sitting on the plate for a little while. Also, the wooden stools in the downstairs area are really small with sharp edges that will cause your legs to go to sleep. However, if my wife and I are in the area again, we would likely give it another shot because we did see the potential in it and understand the circumstances that may have led to these few negatives. We were also unable to wat on the rooftop due to a private party having it taken up. That also likely led to a kitchen overload. Do check this place out if you are in the area.

Sal De Mar Beach Restaurant has three separate areas to enjoy, an outdoor dining space with a bar than runs through to the indoor area and an air conditioned indoor area, as well as a rooftop terrace bar that is currently undergoing renovations and frankly looks amazing. Place has good vibes, good service, and the food? Absolutely brilliant. Fresh seafood, great seasoning, well balanced. Drinks are Fab and the view is decent. They have Tapas, a limited but comprehensive kids menu and a variety of entrées. In my honest opinion I don't believe the food or the drinks are overpriced. The staff is friendly and they pay attention to detail in the assembly of meals and drinks. Fresh/Natural juices are available upon request. If you like seafood then this might be an option when deciding where to dine next. Located within steps of the shore boardwalk and conveniently close to other bars and recreational facilities, including the Aguadilla Ice Skating Arena.

The restaurant is right across the street from the water and the view is nice even at night.they have indoor seating with ac or you can sit up stairs on the rooftop to enjoy the view during the day. It was 6 of us and the bill was about $130 which is not bad. We all had different dishes. Most enjoyed what they ordered. I liked mine i didn't love it. I ordered the pernil with yellow rice and a side of salad. The pernil was good. It was sauteed differently. The rice not so much. It was a bit over seasoned and tasted alot like The recao that it was cooked in. I just wasn't expecting it to be such a strong flavor. The waitress was very nice and the food didn't take long to come.

I came on 2nd January, there was some event happening which made the place full. We sat on the rooftop and the server told us that the food will take an hour, which was fine by us. We ordered at 6:15 and got the food around 7:10. The food was delicious, juicy hot and fresh. The next day we decided to come back with friends there was nothing special happening, the restaurant was full but not like day before which was packed. We were seated same on the rooftop. Ordered the food at 6:24pm. Time passing by, our server nowhere to show up, 7:20 im asking how long for the food and our smart girl server without apologies saying "Nuestro resturante es mui busy, usted pueden cancelar la comida, yo puedo preguntar si es ready pero no hay nada q hacerse, puede tardar talvez como 20 minutos mas". 8:05pm the food is coming on the table, being dropped off and the server disappeared. Now, my fish sandwich, the bun burned hard as rock which I will attach pictures, the fish burned tasting on charcoal, el tostones rocks. My husband plate el churazco burned, the lobster burned. It's wasn't server fault for the food but for God sake who the hell dare to send this type of food. 36$ a plate. I needed to go myslef downstairs to look for the server which all of them were in the kitchen chatting. No apologies, no replacement, not checking if everything is okey. You don't treat your customers this way, when you see something is not right you fix it. Teach your crew when some food don't come out the correct way don't send it out. People are paying money and it's not cheap. Such a disgrace.

Best mofongo so far, fish was perfectly seasoned but I would say the rooftop wasn’t what I was expecting. It doesn’t open till 3 and it’s small with no view , there’s other places near by with better views . Even right behind the lemonade stand that’s near by, that view is nicer: the fish was 26$ a pound and mofongo 30 & 6$ lemonade. Very much enjoyed the food but disappointed by the ambiance.

L

Paid $20 for 2 tacos and a small portion of fries. This was not worth it, if I knew I’d be paying $10 a taco I would have gone somewhere else. The fish was mostly batter with little seasoning or taste. Might be worth going back but make sure the lunch specials are available.

Ok, went for a nice night out with the family to this place. It was recommended by a few friends. We did not order the cheap stuff we wanted to enjoy our selves. I ordered the fish whole and fried looked great but it was not cooked all the way and it had no flavor. My son ordered the churrasco it was well cooked and flavorful. Drinks were ok, I guess I was expecting more and better tasting food. Service was great, Luis was a great waiter and very helpful with food selection. Food was just not to our liking.

B
Brittney Molina

Food was not super fresh tasting and on the bland side. Drinks were yummy. Service was poor. We watched an employee roll up silverware into napkins with no gloves and further more was stacking them on a bench were people sit when eating. One hit the floor and he put it back in the pile. Nice hang out spot. Will not return.

Not quite sure what happened when we visited on the evening of January 21, 2026.The views are beautiful and the sunset spectacular. Aside from that, whomever is working the kitchen, doesn't know what they're doing. The salad that accompanied our meal was wilted: what more can one say? My husband was served in extremely salty "bistec encebollado" and I was served a remarkably. tough lobster, in tail even though I ordered it out of the tail. The white wine was old as it was sour. The restaurant did not offer any type of discount or even remove the wine from the bill. NOT RECOMMENDED

M
Minerva De Jesus

Our experience was truly disappointing. The restaurant is located right in front of the ocean, and although most of the seating is outdoors, the area is well ventilated. Unfortunately, the service was disorganized and extremely slow. We were a party of five, and after placing our order—most of which included dishes with plantains—we were informed 20 minutes later that there were no plantains available and that the fresh catch of the day had not arrived either. Since we were very hungry, we had to change our order. Meanwhile, we noticed that tables who arrived after us were being served first. When we brought this up an hour later, the server explained that those tables were served sooner because they had ordered fried food. She then claimed that the plantains had just arrived, despite the fact that several families had already left and my son had seen plantains in the open storage area. We waited patiently for another 30 minutes, yet we were never served any dish that included plantains and so cold. Unfortunately, we will not be returning.
