Super delicious authentic dishes. Affordable prices. We had the chicken fajita and enchilada. Both came with rice, white beans, freshly made tortillas, and a delicious spicy salsa. Add two coronas and the bill came to $280 pesos. There’s usually quite a bit of a wait at lunch and supper time, but it’s worth the wait.

My favorite mexican lunch place in Ajijic. Small, dark, and often full - it took a while before I even tried the food. But their daily specials are compelling, my favorites are the albondigas (meatball) soup on Tuesdays, and the pepián on Wednesday. The chiles rellenos from the daily menu are exceptional too. There's a different flavor of fruit water (agua fresca) every day, usually with pulp and seeds at the bottom. Tortillas are made fresh, to order. And the people who work there are very pleasant.

Comida casera de buen sabor y porciones considerablemente grandes; aunque el lugar es pequeño, no tuvimos que esperar por una mesa. Se encuentra en un lugar privilegiado frente a la plaza del pueblo.

El sabor es muy bueno, comida casera con buen sazón, un poco apretado el lugar. Lo que no me agrada es que el domingo no abren y sería bueno que sí hubiera servicio para los que vacacionamos y mejor cerraran el lunes.

Típica fondita de comida mexicana en la qué cocinan con sazon casero. La comida hace toda la tarea, probaras arroz, frijolitos y guisados qué tu mamá te cocinaria un martes por la tarde. El servicio es lento, pero amable. Vale la pena la espera.

We saw this restaurant every time we walked down to the lake and it always had a good crowd. We finally made it in for breakfast, and we're happy to find an authentic Mexican menu to enjoy a more local style meal. Service was good, the Mexican coffee was hot and tasty with a touch of cinnamon and sugar, and we both enjoyed breakfast here. Nice place to enjoy an authentic Mexican style meal in Ajijic!

La comida muy rica. Comimos pelliscada de carne con chile y costillita en salsa con muy buen sazón ambos guisos. La atención podría mejorar y también la organización de los pedidos: se olvidaron de mis bebidas. El lugar es pequeño, oscuro y sin ventilación natural, pero los ventiladores ayudan. Da un aspecto de no estar tan limpio el lugar, pero sin duda el sazón es bueno. Precios económicos.

I ordered a Cheese Enchilada. My problem was the cheese. It didn’t melt, it’s like cottage cheese. I’m from the US so I guess my expectations were different.
