I came here thru the drive thru and ordered 4 burgers and I must say everyone's burgers was great till I got to mine and I was about to eat it and found a long hair in my burger 🍔 i was sad I had to drive all the way back wasting my gas ⛽️ so the guy was nice and made me another burger. BUT as I'm going home to enjoy my burger it was not what I had asked for SMH. ONE JOB GUYS 😞 But I was so hungry to even go back to get it fixed mind I don't live near the place. Chill place, nice staff, quick service. Simple burger that tastes good. Don't visit during peak times of the day, then you wouldn't need to wait long. Fries are decent, I like it that its lightly salted most of the time I have eaten fries here. Consistent overall.

I hit up In-N-Out late last night and honestly that double double was amazing. 🤩 The burger was perfectly stacked with cheese and grilled onions. Just melted in my mouth. Animal style fries made It all complete. It was crazy busy like always even though it was late. So worth the wait. Definitely my go to when I need that late night burger fix. Might just hit it up again this week.

I am originally from Alameda, 2 years ago i moved to ohio. I came back to visit family and brought my boyfriend. Let me tell you he loved the burgers so much we ate there at least 4 times while we were out there. You cant find burgers this good in ohio. The pure happyness you get when you take the first bite.. I am so greatfull they opend a In and Out in Alameda. It was much needed. My boyfriend got the 4 by 4 which basicly is 4 pattys with cheese on a bun. I personally like there. Doubble "Protein Burger" with no cheese which is basicly a lettuce burger. it might be on the secret menu i am not shure. If you dont have enough of the thousand island ask for more they will throw it in for free.

While I was visiting California, I visited In-N-Out Burger, and I’m so glad that I did! I went to this location a couple of times, and it was always busy, which is a good sign! The first time, I ordered a Double Double Combo. A Double Double is a burger with two beef patties and two slices of cheese. I asked for the fries to be extra well done and for onions in my burger. You can also ask for the fries to be lightly cooked too if that’s what you prefer. The second time, I ordered a Double Double Combo with Animal Style fries and with onions in my burger. You can order the fries Animal Style, and it comes with cheese, onions, and spread. I really liked the burger. It was quite cheesy which I liked and the burger had a bit of crispiness to it, which I also liked. I believe the crispiness came from the beef. The beef was very nicely prepared and very nicely cooked. Overall, it was a really great burger and I really enjoyed it! The Animal Style fries weren’t bad. I liked the cheesiness of it. The staff were really friendly as well. I would highly recommend In-N-Out Burger to anyone who is visiting California!

Always one of the cleanest and fastest In and Out's in the Bay Area. The food is always fresh and regardless of how packed it is, they keep the lines moving. Great management as well. I highly recommend coming here for your In and Out burger, especially if it's your first one.

On point with the order as always, the drive thru line gets long and deters a lot of people, but going inside and ordering is a lot faster, 10-15min vs 20-25min

There is always a line of cars extending out to the Safeway petrol station. Here’s a tip - don’t order from your car, go in and order to go. Trust me, you will get your order so much faster 😉

It’s not too crowded. The burger was really good, but the animal fries were very oily. They forgot to give me the cups for soda and I had to go ask. The regular fries were way too salty.

Did an amazing job at keeping the drive thru moving. There were about 12 cars in the drive thru when we got there and we got our food in about 6 mins.

It was a drive thru, so take the atmosphere rating w a grain of salt. As a vegetarian, I don't come here often, but I drive through the tunnel several times a day and there is only so long one can resist the scrumptious smell of fried onions and all of the animal style goodness. So, I joined the long line and grabbed a grilled cheese animal style, along with some fries and a drink. The guy taking my order was patient, friendly, and thorough. The person taking my money was cheerful and smiling. The person giving me the food double checked to make sure I was being given the correct order and was friendly and kind. The grilled cheese and all of the toppings is hit the spot. The fries were on the salty side, and the drink had the perfect balance of beverage and ice. If you eat meat, your experience will likely be better, since there are so many additional options. Go on the earlier side or risk getting in line directly out of the tunnel (stay in the farthest right lane). Enjoy!

My first time on the West Coast, I knew I needed to try in-n-out! This location has indoor/outdoor dining with is perfect for travelers who are without a car for the drivethru. Very busy restaurant. Crowded, loud dining room. Luckily there was an empty table outside. We got animal style burgers, fries, and animal fries. Everything was delicious! Honestly not overrated in my opinion. I will go back every time I visit CA.

As a southern California and Los Angeles native, I have the authority to say that this in and out hits the spot and has great service. My girlfriend and I probably eat here at least once a week and rarely do we ever go through the drive-through because the line is typically too long. The trick is generally to park and order inside and order takeout. The food is consistent, stays hot and is made with care. Especially for those of us with very complex secret menu orders. And depending on the day and time that you go, the inside can be super packed with locals and highschoolers. When the weather permits, it’s really awesome to eat at the outside tables so we can grab with our dog and maybe get him a puppy patty I love this in an out location as it reminds me of home!

Thos is the go-to In-N-Out Burger for the Alameda / Oakland area. The place is clean and safe, nearby to gas, banking and shops. You can hit the frive thtough or dine-in with plenty of parking. Service is fast and friendly and food is always hot, except for the sodas & shakes, of course.

As a tourist that I am, my native tongue is not English, however I manage it... when we arrived at the drive thru we were greeted by Vicente, who is a boy who does not speak Spanish, however, I was attended in Spanish by Vicente... then he arrived Antonio... both with excellent service attitude and as always, the In & Out hamburgers in Alameda CA... congratulations for your great seasoning and excellent service, please never change! The best burger ever!!! I am from New Jersey so I had to get three burgers to go. The burgers went through SFO security, travelled across the country and the burgers were still on point the night I got home and 2 days later. I must say I’ve had the best burger ever! I love you in and out. Yes! You can travel with in and out as long as you put them in a plastic bag so they wouldn’t drip and secure them in your back pack!

I've always been told that if I'm in Cali I need to try IN & OUT burger. Nice spot. I liked how minimal their menu was. Plus they also have another menu you have to ask about. Loved the idea of free peppers with your burgers. I appreciate that they make a note to say FRESH FRIES! Cause there's really nothing better than that. Pretty reasonable price for a combo for what I've seen from burger joints in Cali..which is a plus to me. Great experience.

Very delicious food. It's very affordable. They do tend to get busy, but they usually do a good job of getting your order in a timely manner. They have a secret menu taht you can search up online (like animal fries, making your burger protein style, the flying Dutchman, etc.). The menu is pretty basic, but delicious and you can never go wrong with their secret sauce that you can ask for extras and they will give you without charging unlike some other places. Highly recommend!

Always worth the wait for my Double Double. I am from the Midwest and I have never visited one without a line. Even in California. Must be doing something righr.

The drive-thru was absolutely packed, and the inside was buzzing with customers, yet everything ran so smoothly. The restaurant was spotless, and the atmosphere felt both welcoming and organized. We were greeted right away, and to our surprise, our order was ready within just a few minutes. The food exceeded expectations — the burgers were juicy and flavorful with perfectly crisp buns, and the French fries tasted incredibly fresh, cooked to that ideal balance of not too soft and not too hard. The food seemed fresh and I love the portion size. I got a double double burger which I thought would be huge but it really wasn’t and I was pleasantly surprised. Although it wasn’t huge I was full and the burger tasted really good. This was my first experience in an in n out and I am so glad the cashier guided me with my choice. I'm here for work in Alameda and decided to go through in n out. Food was satisfactory! Unfortunately for some reason no matter the location, they all refuse to give me extra lettuce, in fact it's usually the opposite, sometimes none. Light well fries felt less cooked than normal and also had zero salt. I could tell they gave me fries from the order in front of me because they let them 'sample' their fries before accepting them, and took them back for what I assumed was too much salt, so I probably got their left-overs. I review every food place I go to including each in n out I try to test the consistency. I love your food! Just not your location. I appreciate the hard work most in n out employees provide to give that consistency.

Sadly, the ice machines were out of ice, so I was stuck with a warm drink. Out of most In n Out restaurant, this is the only one late at night that has a safe feeling to it. In n out food is always the exact same quality no matter how many times I've had it. You definitely don't have to worry about your favorite order being different every time.

I've been a five guys kind of guy until now. Not living in California this has been my my first chance at in and out. I can testify that among the trio that also includes shake shack, this burger is better. So why the 4 star: the fries. The fries were ok but nothing like five guys'. At this location the drive through was 25 cars long but fine in was fairly quick. The experience was excellent. Can we have in and out's burger and five guys' fries in one order please.

The food, great and affordable. The staff is nice, it's a popular CA staple for a reason. The issue with this location though is that this is the only one near Oakland/East bay, so it is PACKED. Can expect lines going around the corner daily, or to wait for a long while at the counter. They need to open a new location, since this one is at capacity constantly which makes it hard to justify getting food here.

What more can be said than that it’s an InNOut? Standard. However, this location is in a bit of a weird location where getting in and out (no pun intended) is a bit confusing. Pass all the people who are lined up for drive through and then leave through the opposite side. If you’re intending to go to drive through, the line most likely runs out on to the street. Service is great and as expected form this franchise. However, I did think it was a bit less clean. I’ve been here numerous times and plan to continue!

It's amazing, nothing wrong with it except for I can hardly eat anything here because it all has gluten and a lettuce wrap makes me eat the paper.

My kids love the burgers here. Employees are nice. This is a good location, but it was packed inside and the drive-thru line was also long. It may need a redesign for better traffic flow from the street, but there's just not much room for that.

Disclaimer: we only tried the French fries and the milkshakes, not the burgers. The French fries were way too soft and a bit too salty. They did not taste like much and they were pretty cold. The strawberry milkshake was awful and did not taste like strawberry at all. The chocolate milkshake wasn't too bad but it did not really taste like chocolate either. The vanilla milkshake was ok. Locals told us to try dipping French fries in the milkshakes: this was an interesting experience. On a good note: it was cheap.

Just went through drive thru and it took a while. It was very clogged with not that many cars. I would have parked but the entire lot was filled. After I received my food, I drove off and not until a few minutes down the road did I realize my food came with a sopping wet utensil bag, still filled with some water and leaking into my food. I only found this out after my animal fries spilled into my lap. No clue if that was dish water, clean water, or what, but thoroughly ruined things. Did not even bother trying to eat my burger.

The Alameda location used to be the best around but this last time the burgers were just bad. My wife ordered a protein style double double and somehow they managed to get the paper melted in the cheese. They forgot the onion on my cheeseburger. And the tomatoes were not ripe and flavorless. Disappointing since we always look forward to going to the Alameda In-n-Out.

Ordered a milkshake from counter to go. Place was packed. I rarely eat In N Out, it has been a long time. Worker said coming right up or something along those lines. Walked to the side. My number was called out and said ready. I was wondering that was fast. I noticed behind him there were several beverages that were premade. My guess is he took it from that area. I took one sip and red flags went off. I didn’t bother to go back inside. You get the point right.

4/12/25 around 5:45pm. Man the little girl with the false eyelashes at the second drive thru window who hands you your order, needs to check her attitude big time. Granted they were busy on a Saturday afternoon but no busier than any In n out at that time. Been to several different In-N-Out locations and they've all been consistently pretty great. Not here. I was being nice, polite and patient. She hands me my order but I basked if I could get a second box and some catchup. Our order for 3 was simple. She handed me those but a bunch of catchup packets wind up on the ground and only 2 wound up in my hand for 3 people. She turned around and seemed not to notice so I tried getting her attention by waving. I was smiling but That seemed to tick her off anyway. I ask for a few more because they fell. She grabs a hand full, hostility all over her face, and assumes an overhand baseball pitch like she's aiming for my face - like an angry toddler! What? Nothing preceding this would've justified the aggression. Really took me off guard and I drew back because I thought she was gonna lob them at my face. My brother in the back seat says out loud, "woa!" I looked hard into her face and she placed them in My hand. I sat there a bit longer looking at her but the little coward wouldn't even look up. When she finally did, I gave her smile and drove off. Customer service is hard. I should know. They also forgot one of our fries, and got our drinks wrong. The order taker and the first window person (cashier) got the orders correct. The star I gave is for them.

TRYYNG TO KILL MY SERVICE ANIMAL!Today at the Alameda In-N-Out I experienced one of the most dangerous and disrespectful situations I’ve ever had at a restaurant. I always order a dog patty (NO salt) for my service dog, who is my lifesaver. This time, the staff gave me a salty patty — which could have seriously harmed or even killed my dog. When I went back to confront them, the cashier Esteban brushed it off, and Kenny stood behind the manager laughing like it was a joke while I was explaining how serious this was. Absolutely unprofessional and unacceptable. A “dog patty” at In-N-Out has always meant plain, no salt. To ignore that and then mock a customer with a service animal shows a lack of training, respect, and basic care. If I hadn’t double-checked, my service dog’s life could have been in danger. Management needs to retrain this staff immediately. Service animals are not a joke.

They cant even do the basics rite. This location burgers are either burned or raw. Half my fries were still raw and slimy too!They need someone from corporate to check this place becuz this by far the worse In n out Ive ever been to. Drive thru employees got nasty attitudes when you call them out for messing up orders!

I’m really disappointed with the service I’ve received the last three times I’ve gone to In-N-Out. Each time, my order has been wrong — and that’s not a small issue when I have a baby with me and can’t easily go back to have it corrected. I work hard for my money, and when I choose to spend it here, I expect to receive what I ordered. I truly hope it’s not personal or something deeper like racial bias, because at this point, it feels intentional. Three times is not a coincidence. I understand the workers are busy, but this is the service industry — accuracy and attitude both matter. Please do better. People deserve to be treated with respect and to have their orders handled with care — especially when they’re loyal customers.

Has to be the worst in n out I’ve ever been to and I travel all over, have been to many locations. The two guys were just standing talking around and took forever to walk up to my truck to take my order which was a big deal. Then I get to the window and ask to pay for my order in my card, but I wanted to pay cash for the homeless person in the drive thru wanting some food. They were pissed I inconvenienced them for the homeless person. Angelica was extremely rude to me and I still said thank you, her response was uhh huh. I drive up to the window to get my food and the woman at the window is also super rude. Then they tell me it will take a few extra minutes for the burger and to meet me out front. I said the homeless man is already waiting out front for it and she said no initially. When I said you can’t hand the burger to the homeless person it has to be me she said fine. LOL THEn the food came out looking SOOOOO bad.

I've been asked if "you're sure you want x"? The service from employees is weak on top of all of this. Literally worst in n out I've ever had to go to

Cashier Alondra got aggressive after transaction because when she came back from after paying could not remember it. Asked me if I paid and yes was the answer. Still insisted I need to make sure and had to show the receipt. Oh ! I need to make sure. If she was paying attention she would remember. Time 11:52 Transaction 7029. Also why do you not have packets of mayonnaise some people are allergic to ketchup? Or have a small paper container that they can give you like inside? Badly done today.

12/28 8:15 A bad experience. The employee who hands out orders is selective and does not treat everyone with the same level of respect. Why would he assume that someone came to pick up another person’s order worth $10, even though I was carrying a drink? He conducted a selective check by asking me for the receipt. That made me think: why didn’t he do the same with everyone else before and after handing me my order? I paid attention so I wouldn’t wrongly assume he was mistaken, but it became clear to me that he is extremely selective

Lines are ridiculous. Cant get my order right. Put a bunch of gross sauce on my burger I specifically didn't ask for and now into the trash it goes. After waiting 30 minutes in drive thru line. Not even worth going back and wasting more time to get my $14 back. Last visit for me.
