I’m from Philly and this is the only place that I will consider eating at for a chesesteak

The burgers are made with hand-formed patties, fresh veggies, and cooked on a charcoal grill for a nice, smoky flavor. The variety of burgers and cheesesteaks here definitely invites you to come back and try everything. The fries are great and the jalepeno poppers are cooked perfectly! Also, shoutout to the owner. He is a down to earth guy. He made me and my friends feel very welcomed. Thank you!

I consider myself fortunate moving a block away from Metro not because of their excellent and speedy service or their expansive menu choices but because they make the best burgers I’ve had in ages. Omar and his staff have fed me a weekly burger of consistent quality and masterful construction since moving to the lower Haight. The magic of this cheesesteak restaurant is that they also make a great burger. Hand formed patties cooked on a charcoal grill with a perfect balance of veggies and condiments makes for the most consistently excellent burger experience I’ve ever enjoyed. If you are looking for fine fast dining without any pretense of exoticism I suggest trying anything on the menu. It is worth the money and the trip.

Simply the best QUALITY you will ever find. I'm from Chicago. I know the difference between Pats's and Geno's Steaks all too well due to Penn. The prices reflect the high-end sourcing of the meats. If there were a Michelin star for non-chain fast food joints that are to be found east of the Mississippi, Metro deserves the maximum of three stars. It is crazy delicious.

Born and raised in the City and this is my favorite burger/cheese steak joint, everything is always hot and fresh, ask for anything your way and get it how you like it 😋 owner and staff are very accommodating...I've been a customer since it opened...

I hadn’t been to Metro in quite some time but the cheesesteaks were just as delicious as I remembered them to be. My son had it for the first time and really enjoyed it as well. The owner was there and super friendly. The place is extremely clean! Would highly recommend and will make a point to come back more often.

Stumbled on this place looking for something for Lunch. Had a burger and it was delicious, ig I’ve never had really fresh lettuce cause I swear I could taste the crunch. Also the patty was hand made which doubled down on the flavor. The owner was super chill and was quick with the service too. Told me they’re more known for their cheesesteaks so I’ll have to get that the next time I come back.

What can I say about this place. It’s tried and true, been around for years. The metro cheesesteak just combines that savory, cheesy, spicy flavor perfectly. Bun is soft and doesn’t fall apart. Tater-tots are hot and crispy. You won’t be disappointed.

My only knocks on the place is that onions and peppers aren't standard with every cheesesteak, and I had a couple experiences where the cheesesteak was a bit dry.

Ordered a Metro cheesesteak 12" It's enormous. Very good potion. Not especially super tasty, but nicely spicy. Was prepared quickly.

I don't know if the guy owns the restaurant. Or he's a manager. But he was very arrogant. And he treated the delivery guy who delivers his food very badly. He should respect these hard-working people. It's clear he's a terrible person. I don't recommend it.
