Delicious diner breakfasts and lunches! My group was happy. My breakfast burrito was a bit plain and dry, I should have got a patty melt or breakfast plate instead. The interior is clean and bright, and service is good.

We held my son’s 7th birthday at Pacific Pinball Museum just 1.5 blocks away, and walked the party of about 25 people here for sliders and birthday pie. Cecilia and her team were wonderful. We had come by a couple weeks in advance to let them know we were planning to be there, and she reserved several tables for us. She even called the morning of to ask if we wanted her to pick up some table cloths for the party. Simply wonderful service, and the burgers and fries (and quesadillas!) were delicious. It can be a pain to have a dozen 7 year olds running around, but the staff (and other customers) were completely understanding. Thank you so much for making my son’s birthday six a memorable experience!

I love nations so much. The workers are always kind and create an environment that makes customers want to sit inside for hours. The Alameda location is definitely my favorite because of the workers. They never fail to make me smile. It’s one of the only places in alameda open late which makes it the perfect dining location.

Those of us who have been living on Nations for decades will always have a nostalgic feel for the place. The burgers are still made to order as they have been forever. The burgers, dogs, grilled cheese sandwiches and even breakfasts are all solid. I’ve never left a meal at Nations without a slice of pie. This location is pretty clean and service is usually fast. Parking is easy on this end of Webster.

As long-time customers of Nations Alameda since the 1970s, my family and I have always appreciated the food, which continues to be ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ quality. However, the telephone customer service has significantly declined over the years and my reason for the ⭐️⭐️⭐️. The current phone experience is frustrating and inefficient. When answering the phone, employees often say "hold," then immediately drop the receiver on the counter. While on hold for 10–15 minutes, customers can hear employees talking to each other and serving other customers in the background. It is also disappointing that employees do not use basic courteous phrases like "please hold" or "can you please hold?" (even if they ask you to hold, I would highly doubt they would wait for you to answer, "yes" or "no" as it has been my experience they would rather place you on hold and "deal" with the customer standing in front of them first). I believe retraining staff on proper phone etiquette is necessary. Additionally, implementing an option on the app to select bread choices like wheat or sourdough would greatly enhance the ordering process for mobile customers and perhaps keep the phone calls to the store to a minimum and less stressful for both the customers and employees.

The food here is truly delicious, and the pie is perfect. However, every time I come in, there always seems to be just one person running the entire place cooking, bussing tables, taking orders, ringing people up. It’s honestly hard to watch because it feels so unfair to put all of that on one employee. As a customer, it’s also uncomfortable to order knowing you’re just adding more work for them. Personally, I think it reflects really poorly on the management. They owe it both to their employees and their customers to staff the place properly. It shouldn’t be on one person’s shoulders to keep an entire restaurant going. Management seriously needs to do better and prioritize hiring more help. It would make the whole experience better for everyone.

Lots changed since I’ve been here. Menu going digital TVs and staff change. Quality has gone down quite a bit. People used to care about quality and customer service. Cashier clearly didn’t know English well enough to click on the menu items on the machine when I was ordering at the counter. I order hamburger, chili and fries. Got home and Staff forgot my fries. At least i wasn’t too far and they made new fries when I came back for the order. Make sure to check your order before you leave. I never had the issue before with this place, but times and people have changed

I don’t normally go to this location but I decided to give them a try. I usually get the 3 egg breakfast at the Nations on University and San Pablo those locations got it right. However this location was very skimpy with my hashbrowns on the the plate. I ordered a 3 egger which means 1.5 portion and unfortunately this location is serving the same size hashbrown portion of the cheaper 2 egger. Now for 18 dollars there should NOT be a shortage on ANYTHING on your plate. The staff was friendly and the dining area looked clean and bright. The cook need to learn the correct portions that the customers are paying for and stop skimping.

While I was sitting there waiting for my order,I could smell sewer or something awful ,then to top it off when I got my burger they slapped the mayo on the burgers, there it was a big huge bloop of mayo waaaay to much i asked for grilled onions an didnt get any at all ,the fries were terrible ,I usually eat all of them before I even get home but yuk they were hard an had a totally! Different taste really nasty nobody at the house wanted them after they tasted them ,I never ever give comments but i dont want them to go downhill because I used to love nations an everyone I know loves nations but maybe its just this location thats going to bring the company name down hill but please find out whats going on ,I've never been so disappointed with nations an been going there for yrs.an yrs.

Well I specifically said NO MAYO and they put ALOT on. I ordered a Oreo cookie shake and they made it before the hamburger so it sat there and when my order was ready the shake was chocolate water with big chunks of cookie sitting on the bottom. I have been a customer with Nations for at least 35 years. No more never will go back especially the one in Alameda CA.

I like this place, but the prices are outrageous. For the past 15 years it's been the place with black mold on the ceiling panels. Now they replaced some panels and bought some flat-screen TV's menus and think it's okay to charge a full tank of gas for a couple of cheeseburgers and a small bag of onion rings. At least the management included a small packet of Lube in my bag to ease the wallet-rape
