Giving this place a 5***** because of an employee name Nicole ... The food is ok but Nicole’s customer service skills are top notch.

for a chain, i was impressed at my chicken katsu. it was perfectly fried. the order might take some time but you can tell they fry it as they go. the team here is awesome

I just passed by this place and the food was super delicious! The cashier, Heriberta, was a sweetheart. I loved her service. 10 out of 10! 🥰🤤

If you have ever been to Hawaii, eaten the local food, and are now wanting to walk down memory lane, then you have got to eat here. Food prepared fresh to order and exactly as it is back on island. All I had to do was take one bite of the Musubis and I was transported to North Shore again. The Shrimp and White Fish combo was cooked to perfection. Exquisitely light and delicate with the perfect crispy crunch of deep fried. A must have anytime you find yourself on Alameda.

Went to order a Kids Meal because I wanted to get the Lilo & Stitch Bag but they were sold out & never got any more.

Whenever I go to this particular restaurant, I usually have a positive experience. Their food is well cooked, the staff are all friendly and helpful and the restroom is always well maintained.

Serving size was big. Was delicious. Omg there BBQ was so tender and delicious. I would definitely go again.

Freindly staff. Fast preparation. Food is decent. Portion is good. Good balance of protein and carb. Price reasonable. I'm surprised how others have said that they didn't get chicken Katsu on their plate when they ordered it! I just had it and it was a decent amount. I'd come here again for healthy options. Liked the BBQ chicken as well. Neither undercooked nor overcooked.

First time eating here, pleasantly surprised how good the food was, got the Hawaiian BBQ Mix. Generous portions, well seasoned and grilled, good rice (right amount of sticky, not too dry), lots of cooked cabbage which i appreciated, only thing I might request is more zing to the macaroni salad. Would definitely eat here again. 👍🏼

It was okay. But it was not the type of BBQ that I expected or used to. Check out the menu first. That most likely would have let me know what to expect.

Enjoyable if just adequate. Good food but funny go they're if you have a restricted diet. My partner can only eat unseasoned items without sauces, and that precludes much of their menu.

At this time, Ono's Hawaiian BBQ has a $5.00 special on two entrees until the end of this month - the grilled mahi mahi plate and the aloha plate (island white fish). My husband and I ordered the shrimp and island white fish combo. The portions were generous such that it took us two sittings to finish the entire meal. This time around the wait was longer than I anticipated. The three customers ahead of me had a large order of food. It must have been for a family gathering. What's worth waiting is worth getting. It was nice that the employee gave me a to go menu. There will be more return visits to Ono.

Oh- I so wanted to give 5 stars, most of the food was delicious! But the kalua pork was lacking sauce (& cabbage)- much needed to sop up w rice!

I am disappointed. Their plates used to be a great deal; not economical anymore. Used to be under $10; too pricey for me. And they have plexi-glass/ plastic-partitions blocking the view of their menu-boards. Ya gotta duck & jook to squint at the pics. But, better than KoJa across the street.

I used to really like this spot, but lately they've been dropping the ball with delivery orders. The last few times I've ordered from them they've been missing items in the order, and today with missing items, the food was just not good. The macaroni was bland, the short ribs were dry and hard to eat, and the spam misubi barely had any sauce. They didn't add the sauce that usually comes with the short ribs and they forgot one of the drinks that I ordered.

Three times I have been here, the front person were all different but always seemingly need training on customer service as on 3 occasions I dealt with a frowning and uncaring cashier. If the food was superbly excellent and they were always busy I would some how understand. 2 stars and I tried to be nice.

I wanted something different to eat and it was after 7:00 p.m. I always love the diversity of each Hawaiiam franchise food menu and being close to home, no long line and fast service. My entree was combination with what the Filipino call sticky rice and medium texture cabbage and salad. Enjoy

My last two orders have been wrong. Both times they put food in my container that I didn't order and am allergic to instead of what I ordered.

I have been coming here multiple times a week for months. My only complaint is the person working the register everyday. She never has her mask on properly, I mean never, it’s sticking out past her face. I keep expecting management to ask her to wear it correctly, but after months of her making everyone who works and eats there unsafe, I guess they don’t care. Obviously I like the food enough to keep coming back, but I feel like I’m rolling the dice every time.

Wonderful customers service were greeted soon as I walked in felt food But I got the half an half chicken and beef the chicken was okay but the beef was to dry overly cooked the pieces were so thin but I rate it a 4/10 but the portion was wonderful gets your money's worth i can say that

The customer service at this place is non existent. The food is not bad, It was my every-other-week lunch spot on my days off but unfortunately I will not be going back. I went in today to order food to go but got kicked out because I had my dog with me, they didn’t even ask if it was a service animal (which he is). I'm not surprised this place has awful reviews, they don’t t know what they’re doing.

I ordered the chicken katsu and every single piece of chicken was not fully cooked through. Every piece was bright pink! I will never be eating here again. I can understand one piece getting missed accidentally but every single piece was not cooked.

I ordered combo to go.. the boneless chicken was way over cooked and hard. Macaroni salad.. salty. 1/2 of the order wasmany layers of CABBAGE, not the soft leaf,but the thick part! WHY??!! WHY??! To hide the fact that the portion of food is actually less.. It must be the Alameda location- that cause this order to be Nothing BUT BAD..all BAD!!! This is what happens when you think it's good in every city, BUT it is NOT!!! Plus they charge tax of 10.8%.

I ordered grilled lemon pepper chicken with rice and the chicken was undercooked!!! Just disgusting. When I first walked in, I was not greeted. The service is horrible and I had to ask them to remake my food 🤮…. NEVER COMING HERE AGAIN. The one on fruitvale is way better.

I would have rated no stars, but have to select one. My meal (fish) was over cooked. Counter help said if it was lighter in color it would be raw. I have eaten here many times before, mostly at lunch - always order fish, so I know when my same meal comes and it is wrong. Counter girl wanted to argue about it, but rather than make good on cooking up more fish, since rest of meal was fine, due to her bad mood. i just requested my money back. $11.79 for over cooked food, 2 pieces were very thin, almost no fish at all in them. Very disappointed over all, i will never go back. Do not like being made to feel as if I was wrong for wanting decent cooked fish. The other meal (chicken) that was ordered was fine.

The staff is really struggling to adapt to new protocols. - Unusually thick plastic like partition between the cashier and customer makes it very hard to understand, and I understand the need for it. However, the cashier person did not make any attempt to speak louder or make any other effort to communicate with the customer. I could not order what I wanted since we were not communicating well. As I waited for the order, I witnessed other customers get upset, even one walk out in frustration. - Menu options are not quite tailored to to-go. All options are plate only, and I couldn't figure out if there were any family meal options or even ala carte entree only and sides. With more dining at home, plate only options seem rather limiting. Perhaps there were options, but it was not clear from the hard to see menu board and the cashier person.

They are pretty rude, don't give sauce when you ask for it and mess up our order almost every time. Tonight was the worse of how rude one lady was when we asked for sauce and she said it was in there and it wasn't and giving us the wrong dish again and such attitude along with it. Definitely not coming back. We buy multiple meals when we come. Always over $50-60.. No more

This place was good when it first opened. I do not write reciews often, but the customer service was horrible. The two young women behind the counter were too busy discussing the trouble they had gotten into with their boss rather then taking my order correctly. No wonder they had gotten in trouble! They left the food sitting on the counter for about 5 minutes before I brought it to their attention that they hadn't called out the number. Got the food home and the chicken katsu was chopped to death rather than in slices. Then I spent half the night with an upset stomach. Some people aren't cut out for customer service. I worked and managed customer service for many of my younger years and I would have fired the two ladies behind the counter by now if this is consistent behavior. There are plenty of people that would kill for a job at the moment and love to replace them.

I found a bug in my chicken katsu dish, which was really disappointing. The staff handled the situation well and gave me a refund, which I appreciate, but it’s still concerning. The spam musubi was yummy but unfortunately, I don’t think I’ll be eating at this location again.

My order was incorrect then the employee wanted to give me an excuse. I watched the preparers mess up the order then try to fix it with burnt eggs everywhere I asked for a refund now I have to wait a week to get my money back when u took it in 2 seconds
