this is our go-to chinese restaurant on the island. heck, this is one of my top 3 chinese restaurants in the bay area! the food is delicious and on point with every single order. order lunch, pick up a few things at luckys, and its ready. the very best thing about xing yuan is the lightening fast dinner delivery, piping hot and absolutely delectable! try it, you will not be disappointed. :)
This is my favorite and best go to spot for authentic CHINESE rice plates in the east bay. Definitely a hidden gem. -CLEAN restaurant and friendly staff -fast service and generous portions -The food is fresh tasting, fresh ingredients, and good rice. (I mentioned the rice because not all places make it the right way!!) -Flavors and seasonings are always consistently good.
Great little hole in the wall Chinese place. We got the Family Dinner D and everything was amazing.
A great spot for a quick, quality lunch with a small soup and hot tea included. Excellent Chinese food at a reasonable price. The place is worn down and service is just focused on speed but the food is good.
The food is actually pretty good. Beware when you order the Thai tea, it's not what you expect.
This is one of my to go places for affordable Chines American food. It is good and they give me enough for two meals.

Go at lunch time and you will get excellent prices! The food is addictive. The chicken looks, tastes and feels like real chicken. I had General Tso' chicken with fried rice and chow fun. I've only been there 4 times in the last 2 weeks. (Don't judge me :))
I've only been here once but I was very impressed with the quality of the orange beef. The dish was skillfully prepared and I did not have to wait very long, the presentation was pleasing, and the taste was flawless. I normally only eat meals like this in the homes of people who've been cooking for as long as they could walk. Simply splendid.
Wow! This restaurant continues to be the best Chinese food in Alameda. No joke! It's a wonderful experience! The sauces are exceptional, the spiced meals are scrumptious! I usually get garlic chicken or shrimp! I love the lunch specials! They serve hot and fresh! Whether you eat in, order over the phone, or take out, you WILL NOT be dissatisfied!!! I recommend eating at the outside tables, if you bring a dog. Dogs not welcome in the interior of the restaurant!
I love this place. Food is great, you can hear the clattering of woks and the orders getting yelled back and forth. Prices are low! Portions are generous. I like the proprietors here. Yeah, they aren’t obsequious but they are friendly enough, and they are great at what they do, which is provide you with delicious Chinese food. Love the chicken aand broccoli, and, well, all of it. It’s all good.
This is my go to spot for their chow mein and fried chicken and me and my sister have gotten this at least twice a month because it’s just THAT good!!!
Tried our first takeout order and the Sizzling Rice Soup was so nourishing and delicious for my head-cold, and we also loved the chow fun which was soft and filled with veggies and a tasty sauce. The Beef and Green Beans was also tasty and the beef very thinly sliced. We will definately eat here again and it's super close to home which is a plus :)

Simple, no MSG, economical, HK style. I bought two dinners. The portions are big - more than enough for more 3 people for less than $30 total. Difficult to beat the price for the amount of food in these days. It does not have an after-eat thrust as they do not use MSG. The taste is decent enough. Nothing fancy but practical.

Its a small mom and pop location decently priced. I got the dinner special,Okay so the sesame chicken tastes like old oil,the flavor was not so bad but you can taste like the old oil so harder pieces. the noodles were definitely overcooked as well as the veggies in it you could tell how they looked and the texture and they also were on the Bland side Broccoli and beef was a little bit better some pretty okay flavoring the meat was tender but the broccoli was a little bit overcooked *they did accommodate me and change the order from Mongolian beef to the broccoli beef )so I definitely appreciate that they're chicken and corn soup was the best thing flavorful and nice pieces of chicken and nice piece of corn and egg their Fried Chicken potstickers were a little bit too fried/burnt for me overall the place wasn't super bad I'd probably give them another try just to see if maybe it was an off day. (Ps it is forth of july) Get the chicken and corn soup it's a big portion size for a decent price.

Food is ok. I most likely won’t go back though. Lady was rude, we were not welcomed in and the door was wide open and we were freezing.

Their food is ok, but I am upset about their treatment toward their costumers. At least learn how to smile!

Food is tasty enough but uses very thin slices of chicken and little of it. There is really no atmosphere and they turned off their sign at night to save money so I couldn't find the place. It was bit frustrating. I went in at 7:45 pm on Fri, and no one was dining.

Genuinely the worst Chinese food I’ve ever ate. My food had 3 small slivers of chicken. Just very bland never coming back would not recommend.

Where do I start? We came in, they were very rude and not very welcoming. We noticed they were fixing the front door, but no noise was being made. We ordered and the food was okay, and then the guy fixing the door started making so much noise with the drill. It was highly uncomfortable to continue eating with so much noise, nobody seemed to care that we dining in. My toddler got scared with so much noise and they kept going and didn’t really care. I got up and got some to go containers because my family and I couldn’t eat there no more, the lady that charged me was very rude and non-chalant. Do not support this business, horrible customer service.
