Music made the exceptional food and vibes unforgettable. Our server Dajana was prompt, poised and such a doll! We came for our friends birthday dinner and really enjoyed our evening here. This restaurant is really doing the most to complete the hospitality loop. I will be back.

What a vibe. Rich and eclectic decor surrounded by beautiful REAL plants. Food was amazing. Ended up selecting the Fandi Burger thanks to our amazing waitress, Dajana. I typically don’t order burgers out, and I was sooo impressed by this one. Dajana was extremely professional, kind and helpful. Definitely recommend.

Came to Fandi Mats for an 8it app Family Meal event so my experience is strictly from that event’s perspective. I was SO impressed by the space, the attentive staff and the energy of the space. Just as much credit goes to Steve and Mac the founders of the 8it app as it does to the restaurant for creating an amazing experience for those who work in the dining industry. They really took care of us last night. Upon arrival, I was taken aback by the beauty of the space. It was all setup for the Dia de Los Muertos themed event, with candles and dancers in character floating around the space. The event had a tequila tasting from Dobel, an Aperol bar, and the best margaritas. The winner of Top Chef Mexico, Carmen Miranda a generational tamalera who still prepares her handmade tamales with extreme care in a labor of love one week process. This was a pop up that needs to be permanent. The staff made sure there wasn’t a single empty glass or plate on any table as we feasted the night away to a female DJ/percussionist duo. Definitely have to try it the place out on a non event night to get a true taste of it. Thanks team for taking care of the industry last night!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Had an amazing brunch at Fandi Mata! The space is absolutely beautiful with a gorgeous atmosphere that sets the perfect vibe. The food was excellent—flavorful, fresh, and beautifully presented. Our server, Dajana, was so attentive and sweet, making the whole experience even better. She went above and beyond with her great service. To top it off, we even got shots to celebrate our girls’ brunch! Such a fun and memorable experience. Can’t wait to come back!

After a day in Dumbo Brooklyn, best place to end day. Love each and every items we ordered as table of 8. Very beautiful ambiance. Our server Alex suggested to try Cauliflower dish as vegetarian and it was very satisfying. Kids loved spaghetti and pizza while rest of the dishes were cleaned by us. Would recommend coming for a date and just girls night as well.

We had an amazing celebration all thanks to the staff here. We have a small baby and from the start with our late arrival the hosts were able to arrange a better time to seat us after calling ahead. The food was spectacular- we had the branzino and lamb chop mains and the tres leches for dessert. Huge thank you to the staff Danilo, Mário, Diana, & Oliver for taking care of us and insuring we had a very special day.

Came here to celebrate my friend’s bachelorette and had an amazing experience! The place is atmospheric and beautiful, the staff were incredibly friendly, and the drinks were delicious. The food was outstanding, making the experience even more enjoyable. The floor manager kindly substituted my fries for a salad with my steak, even though substitutions aren’t usually offered. He even stopped by to open a bottle of champagne for us — such a thoughtful touch. Everything was so mindful and welcoming. I’ll definitely be coming back!

A truly beautiful space — warm, transportive, and effortlessly stylish, with a lively bar that anchors the room. We started with the octopus, followed by the braised lamb shank and the cauliflower entrée. Flavors leaned classic Mediterranean — paprika, herbs, citrus, and slow-braised depth. Well executed, though fairly straightforward. A lovely setting for drinks and ambiance; the food is solid, if not particularly surprising.

Great vibes, good music but not too loud you can’t hear eachother. Food was soo good! The croquetas are def worth it, the platter was soo good and fresh. We had the branzino it was nice and fresh, the steak was nice and juicy. The Brussels sprouts were delicious!! Drinks are also really tasty, we had the Goodnight Adeline not so Smokey like mezcal, lighter and tasty. Also the Big in Japan was so good like a strawberry lemonade for adults. Alex and Danilo were excellent servers - everything came so fast, great service and ambiance and food!

I’ve been wanting to check out Fandi Mata for a long time. I was greeted kindly and seated right away. I really liked the interior, lighting, mood, and overall ambiance—it definitely had a beautiful spirit. I ordered the octopus salad as an appetizer, lamb chops as my main, and chocolate and pistachio ice cream for dessert. The octopus salad was amazing—everything was fresh, and the salad was chopped really nicely, which made me enjoy the texture and balance even more. The octopus itself tasted great in the mix. The lamb chops, however, were not traditionally cut. I asked for them medium-well, but they didn’t have the flavor I was hoping for. I finished the dish, but I wouldn’t order it again. That said, the zucchini relish that came on the plate was fantastic. The ice cream was also good—I liked it. One thing I have to mention is that it really bothers me to pay $6 for a flat fountain Diet Coke. Why not serve a canned soda instead? Wouldn’t you want to offer the best drink possible to your customers, whether it’s alcoholic or non-alcoholic? A bad drink lowers the overall dining experience. Lastly, I think there’s some room for improvement in the service, particularly in terms of communication. That said, I would consider going back there in the future.

Came here for brunch with an old family friend this past Sunday. The live music was nice, a great addition to the restaurant. The venue and ambiance is lovely. The food was not good. I had the steak with potatoes and a drink that I could not remember the name of in spite of coming here days ago. The steak was a bit chewy and the potatoes were strange, I couldn’t understand the taste of everything in the skillet. The deviled eggs appetizer was good. The Paloma Picante cocktail was not very good, u barely finished it. My friend had the French toast. I believe she liked it, but again, the food did not wow me. The restaurant was half empty this pasty Sunday. I can not say I would return. This might be one of my worst restaurant experiences in reference to food alone.

Made a reservation for 10 to celebrate my fiancé’s birthday, the food here is very expensive and recently received poor reviews, so we just wanted to enjoy some well-made cocktails and share some small bites. The staff told us we were not following the restaurant policy because we were not ordering dinner, and that we would have to move to the bar “if the table was needed.” I mentioned that we did in fact order some small plates, but it was rudely asserted that we *only* ordered 2 pizzas and fries to share. Meanwhile, each person had multiple drinks so we were racking up a very hefty bill ($800 total, as if we each ordered one drink and an entrée anyway). It was like they were pressuring us to order dinner and didn’t want us to feel like our table was secured. This made all of our guests uncomfortable, but where else were we supposed to go? It’s hard to make large reservations in NYC during the holiday season! There were plenty of empty tables throughout the night and the bar was never overcrowded—actually quite sad for a Friday evening in Williamsburg! Maybe replace the empty tables with a dance floor since there is a live DJ and a disco ball? The pressure to order a big dinner felt very rude and unnecessary. As a native New Yorker, I’ve never experienced such a lack of hospitality. A few pizzas and fries for the table is usually considered as “ordering food” anywhere else, no matter the size of the group. Normally, restaurants give special care to the table when you mark the event as a birthday or anniversary on OpenTable or Resy. Any other time I’ve done this, the restaurant always wants to know who the birthday person is and they provide a special drink or dessert to them on the house (not the case here, even though they charge almost $40 for a burger!) It’s unfair that gratuity is automatically applied for larger groups because we probably wouldn’t have left as much after being spoken to so rudely when we were there to celebrate a birthday. The 10 of us collectively agreed we would not come back or recommend Fandi Mata.

I don’t understand how this has any good reviews at all. Came here yesterday for Valentine’s Day and was honestly embarrassed by my decision. First, they tried to sit us upstairs when there was open tables downstairs. I asked if we can sit down there and they said okay, but put us at a corner table by the front where cold air was coming in and we had no view of the stage, and even though I wanted one of the open tables near the music, I didn’t want to ask again for a different one. Mind you, I had a reservation. The waiter came over and I said we haven’t looked at the drink menu yet, and he asked if we wanted to put our food in, very obviously rushing us. The apps were decent at best, the crab pasta was eh, and the steak was horrible. I asked for it medium rare and it came very well done. If the waiter came back to ask us even one time how everything was, I would’ve complained, but he didn’t, so I just dealt with it. When the bill came and I saw the tip was included, it made sense that the service was so bad because they didn’t have to worry about getting their money. Might as well mention the sound was also terrible. Sounded like they had one Amazon speaker very far from the table. The whole experience sucked, especially at $365 for 2 people to leave still hungry
