I've been ordering food from this Chinese take away on a weekly basis during the last 6 months and I always been very satisfied with the quality and quantity of dishes provided...especially for the price! My chidren loves the fried rice and noodles which is also a great time safer for busy parents. The lady at the front is very friendly and accommodating. Highly recommended in St Albans.

Favourite place in St Albans, their veggie dishes are great. Hardly anywhere does the pancake rolls battered like they do and I love them! Best to go in to order as it's super quick, always found the staff friendly.

Please do not go by the rating on this takeaway. I have been ordering from here for 7 years and it is all freshly cooked, clean, lovely quality chinese food bursting full of flavour. No nasties! It's excellent and for me the best in St Albans.

Good Chinese take-away. Prices are okay rather than bargain basement; portion sizes are mostly very good. Quality and flavour all good, even the vegetarian duck works well. Turnaround time was quick (admittedly on an early weekday evening). I was rather deterred by the recent reviews on google maps, however the reality was fine. Suspect some of the recent ish one-star reviews are from friends of other take-aways...??? Reviews of other Chinese take-aways in St albans also seem to follow a similar pattern. Give HK Inn a try - and post an honest review!

Ordered from here numerous times and the food was always very, very good! Great taste and good portions for good prices. We were always ordering the Capital Ribs and Egg Fried Rice, or Duck fried rice, and it was always a pleasure to eat food from here. A dear routine. Staff is also very nice and welcoming, taking great care of regular customers and having a friendly attitude. Thank you Hong Kong Inn for the delicious food always!

I Return to this Chinese quite often... Always great service whether i visit the shop or get a delivery. Satay chicken skewers are the best ive had. Love the curry sauce. Always give me free prawn crackers.

I've lived in HK and this is the best Cantonese food in St Albans. The carbon-wok taste is authentic and the food is always piping hot. From the time we order our food on the telephone to the time our food is ready for pick up, it is approx 10 minutes. Fridays are the busiest and the most we ever had to wait is 12 mins. There is only one delivery driver so picking up food might be faster than waiting for delivery. We highly recommended the fried rice, noodle, and deep fried squid. For working parents, this place is a lifesaver. You can opt out of MSG if feeding children! Fast, Economic, Healthy and Tasty!

The only thing I would say is when they don't pick up the phone when they're supposed to be open means they are probably closed for some reason. Last time they didn't t pick up I drove there and they were closed for a week on holiday. Answer machine would have been nice letting people know. The other thing is they still have strict covid procedures pay outside wait outside. Other wise nice food.

Vile! I ordered crispy duck pancakes - The duck was still on the bone, not shredded, was cremated and looked and tasted like it had been through the deep fat fryer several times over. The only reason I have given 2 stars instead of 1 is because I am just grateful that the food didn't make me ill. I wont be ordering from here again.

If you like jelly like chicken and gristly duck , the entire dish not just one piece get ordering .... the worst Chinese I have EVER had.... it was disgusting.!

Honestly one of the worst food and services possible. It costs as if it's central London but tastes as if it's far north of England. And portion sizes are tiny for the price. Can't recommend this place to anyone unfortunately.

Their customer service is poor, thinking nothing of being rude, nasty and disconnecting calls as in my case tonight when I remonstrated with the person on the phone for not treating me very well, and communication generally difficult. When I rang back tonight I was asked not to call again when I said I was not going to put up with bad treatment of myself. I had noted previously another customer in their review had referred to Hong Kong Inn's customer service as being non existent. I am an older person who is generally regarded as being a particularly nice and a particularly genuine person. Brent Collins.

Rice & noodles were 'okay-ish' but Crispy beef was just all fat..threw it away. Sweet n sour chicken was artificially coloured bright orange & tasted very acidic. The ribs were all bone..no meat. Doesn't even deserve the one ★ that i had to give to enable me to post my review. Most definitely will NOT be ordering from here again.
