Came for 2 friends birthday celebration and it was great! The chicken tacos were too salty but the Baja tacos and ribeye were delicious! Plus the pitcher of margaritas were great and strong! Only down side was there was no live mariachi playing.

I was really looking forward to visiting this place since I heard great things about it! Sad to say I was dissapointed!! The food was NOT worth the price! It is very expensive and the flavor was not there! The service was also not great! I took my mother in law for her birthday so we ordered her a birthday dessert! It took longer than 40 minutes to get the dessert. I saw them bring it out place it by the bar and left it there. The brought it to the table and sang for her which was really nice, but then they forgot the utensils!!! They didnt bring any until 15 minutes later. And the 3 leches cake tasted rancid. The place was not super busy while we were there so we didnt understand why it took so long. Unfortunately we will not be coming back and will not recommend.

The atmosphere is a vibe because of the decorations and lighting. The music was good. Our service was terrible, our waiter forgot to bring my margarita and had to remind her about our waters. We waited about 15 mins for the bill and the place was not busy. I saw her stand by the bar for well over 10 mins just standing there. Not to forget that they charge an automatic 20% gratuity fee and some convenience fee for absolutely no reason. 20% for parties of 1 or more does not make any sense.

Hands down, this is one of the worst restaurants I've been to. The food was the only remotely decent thing as I had the Charola Botanera and Birria Tacos (but Birria tacos were so small). The service was the worst aspect of this restaurant, absolutely atrocious. The server couldn't answer any of my questions about the dishes and couldn't even genuine recommend anything. After the food runner dropped off my food the server never returned to check up on me, not once. She never offered to refill water or drinks and I had to ask the food runner. After finishing my dinner I wanted to pack up some leftovers and asked my server for a box. She FORGOT!!! I literally mean she was completely useless. I know I sound harsh but I worked as a server in college so I know how it is. From my observation, the only thing the servers do is to stand there and take orders via a tablet. The food runners did 99% of the work. The front of the house is in dire need to training and it's obvious the owner has zero clue how to run a restaurant. The ambiance? It was so ridiculously loud (band was playing) and it was so difficult to have a conversation. It was also way too dark with the lack of lighting. Besides the atrocious service another thing that was notable was the price of a soda - $7! Seven dollars for a soda! I've never seen that price even in the city and this taco joint in Astoria is charging higher than Manhattan prices?! This is basically extortion. The owner is either drunk on greed or has no idea how to run a business or both. Avoid this place at all cost! You can go to Taco Bell and have a better experience.

Went here with a group of four girls. We arrived at 9:00 PM and waited about 20 minutes before a server even came to our table. We didn’t place drink orders until 30 minutes after being seated. After ordering, another waitress came 10–15 minutes later and re-asked for our drink order, even though we had already placed it. Once the drinks finally arrived, it was extremely difficult to get our waitress’s attention. We didn’t receive a second round of our margarita pitcher until over an hour in. About 1 hour and 20 minutes after being seated, we ordered plain nachos. After waiting an entire hour, they never came out. When we finally pulled someone over, the waitress said the nachos were ready but blamed the delay on the busboy, saying he never told her they were up. At that point, we canceled the nachos, though the waitress continued pushing us to take them since they were “finally ready.” We asked to just pay for two rounds of a margarita pitcher. The bill then took another 30 minutes to arrive. When it did, there was an automatic 20% gratuity added, stating it applies to “parties of one or more,” which felt unreasonable given the level of service. Our waitress never checked on us or asked how everything was. Management did agree to remove the gratuity after we explained the situation. The total was supposed to be $153, down from $183, but after another 30 minutes of confusion and multiple different receipts, I was incorrectly charged the full $183 anyway. The waitress kept pushing the incorrect receipt at me despite repeatedly explaining we did not agree to that amount. I ultimately had to get refunded. While the waitress was not attentive, the busboy was the only person consistently checking on us and making sure we were okay, so we made sure to tip him directly. The restaurant wasn’t overly busy, yet service was consistently poor. Unfortunately, it felt like we weren’t taken seriously — it honestly seemed like tables with men received more attention.
