Came here for the first time since June 2017 and many times before that it has not changed one bit, service is outstanding staff very friendly , coffee always served nice and hot for my Dad , just a overall pleasant experience every time . I had ordered today their Egg Sandwich Melt special with Applewood Bacon and tomato with a side of home fries. Bacon was crispy and the runny egg was just really good. Overall an excellent spot for breakfast or lunch, haven’t tried going for dinner yet but sure would be superb as well. Definitely a must try if you’re in Nassau County.

I had the lemon-ricotta pancakes for Saturday brunch. The blueberries were fresh, and the lemon-ricotta was ultra creamy and sweet. They gave me a lot to eat. The pancakes were well worth my $14.50. The menu has lots of options, so next time I will try something else. My waitress, Rosemary, did a terrific job!

The food was really good. My waitress sucked but another waitress helped out and blessed him for it. Will definetly go back for the friendly atmosphere!

The staff was really friendly and quick to notice if I needed coffee. And that place was busy when I got in. The food came out extremely quick and it tasted good as well. The food was a fair price. Everything was really good. One of the best diners I've ever been to.

Great place to eat! Super friendly staff, clean restaurant, and amazingly tasty food! I got the pastrami omelette when I went there and it was incredible! Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a great meal!

Arrived around 8:30 on a Thursday morning. Parking was a little tight but we managed to find a spot. Inside, we were seated immediately. Our service was quick and friendly. The menu is huge but I settled on the eggs Benedict. It was super delicious! The home fries were just ok. They seemed dry. Overall solid diner. Would come back?

Great food, and such a fantastic staff. Sharon was an absolute delight and made the morning all the more enjoyable! I will be recommending this place to everyone!

Vegetarian choices are minimal to none. A veg burger or pasta really, that's it. Not for vegans. But otherwise the serving size is far too big for one order. It's for 2 or more for sure. I will return but not too soon. I wish they added more vegetarian options to menu. Maybe more appetizers.

We just got their special of the week breakfast - salmon asparagus egg Benedict and stuffed French toast chocolate cannoli. It’s absolutely delicious. We had their breakfast several times and no complain at all. Must go to place when it comes to breakfast. Staffs are wonderful and attentive and friendly.

"Hey there, if you're ever in Carl Place and craving some good ol' comfort food and delicious eggs, you've got to check out this classic diner. Seriously, it's a local gem. The portions are super generous, so even the pickiest eaters will find something to love here. Oh, and by the way, if you're wondering what to order, my personal favorite is the pastrami with eggs cooked just the way you like them and a side of their fantastic home fries. You can't go wrong with that classic choice. So, don't wait – head over to this Carl Place diner and enjoy the comfort food goodness that's been keeping me coming back for years."

THOMAS'S HAM AND EGGERY DINER IS OUTSTANDING !! Thank you for the wonderful service. The Staff were all very accommodating to my individual dietary needs. They were all so friendly and welcoming. Our Waitress Gina was exceptional. The Hostess Kara was so helpful and considerate. The Manager Alec went out of his way to help me. This will be my all time go to Diner !!

Whenever we drove this place was always packed so today we finally made a point of going early. It was still packed and there was about four people ahead of us plus more that kept coming behind us. The guy who greeted us was excellent. I don't know how he did it but he remembered everyone and the order they came in without taking down anyone's names. We were seated in ten minutes. All of the staff were great and kept checking on us but we didn't feel rushed. We ordered eggs Benedict and pancakes. They were delicious and the prices weren't bad. The only thing is that this place is cash only and parking is limited. We ended up parking around the block. They also have a kids menu which is nice. We are definitely coming back.

Food can be hit and miss. We did enjoy a lot the corned beef hash. I’ll definitely go for a meal served on a skillet next time. Otherwise great service and the place gets packed on any time of the day. Unbeatable for the price though. Will definitely come back! You’ll need to park in the neighborhood most of the time.

Always delicious and plentiful. Their menu is quite expansive and there’s something for everyone, but not too overwhelming. The smoked salmon Benedict was delicious and on top of a pressed croissant with a heaping amount of potatoes. Staff is also super friendly and nice.

Although it was very busy we were able to be seated very quickly at the bar. Service was prompt and the food was amazing! I would recommend the eggs Benedict over any of the other items that we got. Cute little diner with very friendly staff. Will return .

I travel for work. If you are staying at the Hampton Inn or other nearby hotel, this is a definite stop. Upon arriving, I was greeted by a polite waitress. While she was showing me to my table, she asked if I wanted coffee, and would I prefer milk or half and half. Before my seat warmed up, there was my coffee before me. The breakfast selections were perfect. They also serve lunch and dinner. I will be trying those on my next visit to the area. For the price, my meal was huge. I'm not usually a home fry guy, but these were really good. I walked out full and even bought a coffee cup. I definitely look forward to returning. Now for the downside. Parking is tight. That is the only negative point and not one that would change my mind. Truckers! There are other lots around this dinner. Park and have a great meal.

Everything you would want in a Long Island Diner! My entire experience was exceptional. Our food came out lightning fast & was delicious. The service wonderful too. The diner is vintage to boot, which makes this restaurant even more spectacular. Cannot wait to go back.

Went there today for the first time. Had terrific corned beef hash, eggs and home fries. Service was great. Old school Long Island, with a nice mix of people enjoying their food.

Very nice diner. Has all the usual trimmings of. A diner - chrome , vinyl booths etc But somehow the place felt homely. Service was really good. Food was served piping hot. Went with my daughter for breakfast on a Tuesday morning. It was packed. Really had a great time. Will visit again.

J

Awesome little place that you could tell had some history. Super fast service, big portions and reasonable prices. The coffee cake was phenomenal. I will say the parking situation leaves something to be desired, so just be wary of that.

D
Debra Janusz

Consistently good food here. Expect a wait we typically just go to the counter for faster service. Very accommodating to adjustments on your meal. The menu has lots of good choices. If you have not gone make sure to check it out! Only reason for 4 star for service was that the meals came at different times. But both hot off of the grill. Staff friendly.

J

This classic little diner is a rare find! Located in the middle of Carle Place, it’s the perfect place to go if you and yours are out shopping but can’t decide where to eat. We ordered pancakes and their pulled pork sandwich for dinner. Their portion was great and the taste was balanced. Pancakes were chewy, not crumbly like the franchised chains stores. Lemonade was freshly squeezed and you get about two cups from one order. The people were attentive and from overheard conversations, local folk have been returning for years. Recommended even if you live far away.

E
Erik Grudzien

Absolutely amazing place to stop for breakfast! Apple Pancakes were amazing and both the mushroom omelet and bacon and eggs hit the spot perfectly after a late night at a show at Jones Beach Theater. Staff was super friendly and food came out quick!

L
Luke Carlson

The food was delicious and the service was great. Friendly and welcoming staff. The gentlemen that kept our coffee cups full was extremely kind. The place was busy, so if tight places isn't your thing, this may not be the best place for you, but it was good.

So glad we found this place! We're visiting the area dropping our daughter off at university. Lived on Long Island for 4 years in the 90s and know Dinera are a must. This place did not disappoint. Came for breakfast and got there just in time. Got seated immediately at the counter in front of a beautiful display of (in house made?) cookies, pastries and pies. Great breakfast selection. The kitchen is small, but it is all coordinated chaos. I loved watching the restaurant ballet in action. Food was quick, hot and good. Service was friendly. Locals know to go here and i encourage anyone visiting to give it a try. You won't be disappointed.

I had the perfect diner breakfast, no frills, just a solid meal. Three eggs over easy, bacon, sourdough toast and hash browns - served in a skillet. Waitress was the bomb diggity, she had inside knowledge and can read your body language. She is the diner whisperer. I just wanted to pack her up and have her work everywhere! I took some awesome pics and you should check them out. Highly recommend.

I
Imran Lourenco

Even the wait time this morning when I came later than usual was short. Seated and served in 10 minutes. Tried a different scramble today and as usual the food portions are amazing and the service is perfect.

E

Delicious Primavera, an omelette with veggies and cheese served with potatoes that had a few thin slices crunchy! It was served with toasts. Their burgers are also good. They have so many appetizing offerings in the menu that we have to go back and try breakfast. They are open from 10-7. We also lucked out with a rounded corner booth😊. Reasonably priced, adequate portions. Although for me, the Primavera is sufficient for two meals. Very good service.

Q
Quentin Hodges

A popular local breakfast spot. Employees are friendly and attentive. The parking lot is small, so get there early on weekends. My companion and I chose to sit at the counter, as the wait for a table would’ve been at least 30 minutes. Based on what I overheard this diner has a lot of regular/repeat customers. A gentleman who sat next to us was asked if he wanted “the usual.” I ordered the Cajun Scramble, which was good and the sausage did have a bit of heat. The hash browns were disappointing. Probably some of the worst that I’ve ever had. I would return so that I could try some of their unique breakfast options or pancakes.

A
Angelina Nguyen

Service was super quick and friendly! The menu was a little big for how fast they were expecting you to order. I think as new comers you’ll have to sit with the menu for a bit since there was so many great options to pick from! A great place to people watch and enjoy the experience of locals coming in and ordering their usual or even see the small interaction between frequent visitors with the staff. They had baked pies, muffins, and cookies that are freshly baked everyday! Again soooo many options to choose from that I wish I could frequent this place if I was a local. We came in on a Monday @10am, so we weren’t expecting a crowd. But it was fairly busy! (GREAT SIGN) Enough to keep their small parking lot full and their dining area full! Their service was fast enough that there was barely any wait time - I went with a friend so we sat at the counter and there was no wait. I expect that if you’re with a party to have a wait time of no longer than 10-15min Food was great! I got their seasonal autumn hash which comes with grits. I’m not a big fan of grits so I can’t comment on how good it was, but if I can get a plate of just the autumn hash I would! 10/10 recommend. My only regret is I didn’t graba dozen cookies and muffins and a pie to go.

So happy they are back open again!!! Love the old timey feel of this place and love the sweet attentive service here too. Food is delicious and love that they have a few famous dishes and desserts. Chili was a bit on the sweet side but still very good and you must get their house made sour cream coffee cake! And buy one to take with you too. Their pot roast was tender and reminded me of my childhood when I wild go to diners and order this dish. The potato pancakes that came with the dish were perfectly seasoned. I had asked for super duper well done French fries and I loved how my waitress just got me when I heard her say "make them well done, close to burnt"... She totally gets me. Who be back for more and more and more!

Tejas Dadarkar

This diner has been around for a long time, and for good reason. The food is fantastic and the service is excellent. The tables are on the smaller side as a typical diner would be. I got the Lox and CC Scramble and the Baked Panetonne Frech Toast. Both were delicious, and the portions were very generous.

The absolute best place to eat in the area. Nice portions, very flavorful, quick friendly service, fair price and automatic topping off of coffee. Always busy for a reason

This place is pure gold. The waitress, Sharon? No nonsense, ask, order, and done. She is a rare breed of awesome, with a firecracker personality. Very sweet. The staff in general, make you feel like they are watching out. And they are really friendly. Quality? The food makes you feel like home. What more can you ask for? Prices? Amazingly worth it. We are definitely making a habit of coming back. This is a treasure. And I'm seriously loving how they serve.

I truly enjoyed the food, the location, the ambience, and the service. I just want a quick burger, I said. The nice lady told me: We just made chicken pot pie. You can get a burger anywhere, you should get the pot pie. And she was right ... good advice, good food :-)

A landmark location here on Long Island, and a must visit when I'm the area. Oldschool diner vibe with fantastic food to match! Every meal is tasty, and the turnaround is uber quick. Friendly staff who've been there for years and are very attentive. There is almost always a line - so know before you go that there will be a wait. Worth it though. The experience alone is enjoyable, the food and people make it even better! Very highly recommended.

I came here after an overnight shift yesterday morning from work in Brooklyn. It was worth the trip. Service was thoughtful and attentive, food was delicious and perfectly made. The place was bustling and happy and the coffee was hot. Ordered 2 specials. Lemon Ricotta pancakes and the Breakfast Strata. These pancakes could possibly be the best pancakes I've ever had. The Strata had spinach, prosciutto, eggs, and onion. 10/10. Very affordable and reasonable prices. Each portion is large and you will have more than enough

Classic diner serving comfort food and the best eggs. The menu is fantastic, lots of variety and all are delicious. Portions were great and plenty of options for any picky eater. Kids welcome and service is excellent. I've been coming here for years. It's an institution.

Not all diners are created equal, and Thomas’s Ham & Eggery stands out from the rest. It’s always bustling with hungry diners. There’s a reason it’s been a staple for over 70 years. The service is friendly and fast. The food is hot and fresh. The Greek Frittata is a large and filling portion, stuffed with spinach, green onions, potatoes and feta. The bacon was crispy, and the eggs perfectly poached. I would definitely return to Thomas’s to explore more of the menu.

I came here for their great breakfast for years. Tried the ham steak, choc chip pancakes, frittatas, omelets dinner. I love eating out of a skillet. I had their veal chop w a nice salad. It was close to closing time. The food was fresh. The service was very friendly, the portions large, the menu very varied, the kitchen looked spotless. I left very satisfied.

Food is always good and hot. We sat by the bar sometimes and watch the skillets being swift away as soon as it's done. The wait staff is efficient and full of character. The bus staff is quick and friendly. Atmosphere is great like a family living room. Love having breakfast/brunch here. It gets really crowded and expect to wait for a table after 9-ish

My on our way back from an up island appointment and search for food places in the area. This one seemed intriguing, just a little diner. When we pulled up, we were a little concerned because it didn’t look quite as we were expecting. But once we were inside, the atmosphere was so warm, the staff was extremely friendly and the food was amazing. Like amazing amazing. You could tell that the place was packed all of the time.

We grew up going to diner for late night meals and breakfast in high school and college years. There are not that many good diners around and it was so refreshing to go Thomas Ham & Eggery Diner to bring back old memories. Ham steak with over medium eggs with homemade hash brown was cooked as I remember. My friend’s BLT was just perfect. Toasted bread, crispy lettuce and bacon. Staff were efficient and friendly. Bus staff never make the coffee mug empty. Constantly go around to refill the coffee. Wait can be pretty long but it is worth waiting!

This establishment, though modest in size, exudes a remarkable charm. The courteous and affable wait staff is ever-ready to welcome and assist patrons. While the extensive menu may initially appear daunting, the culinary delights that follow make it all worthwhile. Be prepared for a potential wait, as this establishment's popularity often leads to a bustling atmosphere. I hold this establishment in high regard. Due to the considerable patronage upon my arrival, I refrained from taking photographs of the interior, as it would have been impolite to do so. I wholeheartedly recommend this establishment.

Thomas's Diner has that traditional old school diner feel to it but more importantly some darn good food. My wife suggested that we stop in while shopping in the area and we were not disappointed. The place was pretty busy but we were seated after a short wait. The wife ordered an egg sandwich which was one of the best we ever had. I ordered a Bacon and Swiss Omelette which was served in a skillet and really good. A side order of some delicious pancakes and we left really happy & full.

Great place to grab a meal! Everyone from the owner to the waitstaff and bussers are super nice! Food comes out fast even when busy! They make a lot of things themselves including fresh pie! It’s our go to place for eggs, turkey sandwich which is fresh turkey not yucky deli meat! And they have daily specials which for Thursday is their chicken pot pie comes with soup or salad and not too much sodium in the pot pie either! I really enjoyed their house salad with grilled chicken it was so good for so basic too! They have crinkle cut fries which are yummy for old school fries! I would highly recommend Thomas! We tend to go on the weekdays so no waits!

Great food at great portions and fair prices. Diner was a bit congested. Parking lot too. However, food is on par. It was good quality off Old Country Rd. Our visit was on a Sunday Morning at 8. There was no line to get in and we were seated immediately. COVID STANDARDS; Considering this classic styled dinner, everyone was in separate seated booths that had a plastic divider naturally. All staff were properly wearing masks, gloves and cleaning in a fashionable manner. The food was good. The price is definitely worth the large portion. The service was beyond exceptional. I have no words for how amazing the staff was! I would 1000% go back just to interact with the staff. Everyone was very kind and friendly. They were very homely and endearing.

Wide variety of items on their menu, definitely recommend the Cajun omelette and their home fries. However, the beef corn hash was a little too mushy, didn’t seemed fully cooked. They also didn’t provide maple syrup for my pancakes.

This diner is usually so packed. On the weekends, I know that it can be up to an hour wait so I decided to come by on a Friday, early afternoon. All of the staff are super nice and so friendly! They give a homey vibe and are patient despite the crowd. My friend and decided on a wrap and Popeye scrambled eggs. Both of which the entrees were enormous despite being so reasonably priced. We split a mixed berry French toast just to satisfy our sweet tooth. Overall I see why this place is sometimes tough to get into! But it’s worth it

Had a great breakfast here. The pancakes were awesome. The 1 egg breakfast was very large and a great value. The service was very good as well. Your coffee cup is always full! The food came incredibly fast. We were all very please with our meal. Parking is an issue as the lot is very small.

Popular local diner in LI. You should expect a wait time if you go on a Saturday morning as it gets really crowded. The service was great especially for how busy they were. I had the French toast and frittata, both were okay. Definitely would like to come back around to explore more of the menu specifically the corned beef hash which I heard is popular.

4.5 stars! Only reason is it’s cash only 😅 Sometimes carrying cash isn’t fun, and atm fees are lame. However, this place is amazing even when it’s busy! They’re super welcoming and friendly. It’s definitely a neighborhood favorite and the staff makes everyone feel welcome. They know their regulars and it shows. The place is clean and comfy. Booths have nice little hooks to hang your coats. Tons of yummy options here. Their Corn-beef hash and eggs are amazing! Loads of home fries also given, and plenty of hash. My fiancée loves it. We’ve been here 4 times in the last month. The CHILI HERE IS AMAZING!!! I personally don’t know if it’s not advertised enough but man! I definitely recommend everyone trying it. It’s a lovely diner vibe and the price is great. You’re never looking for your waiter/server. They keep on coming and the coffee keeps flowing. There’s a parking lot; not very big but it’s great.

True Long Island Experience. Usually I’m not a big fan of diners, too many things on the menu and not everything is done right. But not here, they have a smaller menu and they do the little things right. Like a perfect crunch in the home fries, an abundance of strawberries on the croissant French toast(big hit at the table), delicious corned beef hash and creamy eggs in the huevos rancheros. Everyone at our table polished off their plate. Also the servers here are very friendly with just enough sass that you don’t forget where you are.

Sat at the bar and had a great experience. It's a small place so it tends to get packed pretty fast. It's a nice atmosphere though. The food was good. I ordered the steak and eggs with home fries. Asked for medium rare but got it well done so that was a little disappointing.

READ BEFORE YOU GO. Went on a Sunday at 1pm and was told the wait would be around 35 min. It ended up taking an hour. Pretty sure the host let his friends jump the line. After waiting that long I’m expecting food to be next level. It was a fun diner style place and had been around for years. The food was good but not sure it’s 1 hour wait good. I will say they do have a texting system where you can check your place in “line”. So if you decide to brave the crowds drive by and get on the list and go run your errands or go shopping and come back when you are almost up. The staff was all very friendly and the service was great once seated.

Me and my brother went here for breakfast with his son. The diner is a little small and it’s a bit of a wait to get sat down during breakfast hours. Skillet swag. The food came out extremely quickly. Customer Service was Fast and quick and made up for the wait in the lobby. Everything on the menu is good. Worth the wait. Cash Only.

Classic brunch diner. Can easily customize your order how you like it. Customer service is excellent. Coffee is free-flowing. A tad pricy like all such establishments. Taste is OK. Anticipate long waits at the usual peak hours. Parking is a bit of a squeeze.

Good classic American cheeseburger. Steak was overcooked, we ordered medium. Atmosphere was good, the usual diner. Servers were fun. Some characters in there that deserve their own comic strip. I would dine again.

Have you ever went somewhere so often that you’re considered a regular/family? Restaurant owner and staff know your name and face? Well, that’s what I observed at Thomas’s Diner. The staff are extremely friendly and they treat you like family. Great hospitality! The food is diner food. Nothing stands out about it except it tastes home-cooked and not out of a box. One must try their chocolate cheesecake muffin though. I got one to go and it was still moist and soft when I ate it later in the evening. It was my first time here so I was looking around to get better pictures for my review. The man who was in charge came over to me to ask if I needed something. Extremely attentive. So was my waitress. I will be coming back to try their other homemade muffins to try it toasted at the diner.

This place is always packed so I had to check out the hype. The vibe and service are definitely cool. Ordered the corned beef hash with eggs over medium. Please note that you will be sitting elbow to elbow with the table next to you!!

Me and my girlfriend stopped her after going to the Roosevelt field mall. Seated immediately, service was excellent. Both our waiter and the man at the front were very kind and attentive to our needs. Atmosphere was very charming. Food was alright, my egg cream was okay. English muffins on my eggs Benedict was burnt and home fries weren’t crispy. Girlfriend loved her pancakes though. We may return if we were in the area.

I've heard a lot of good things about Thomas's, so as I was in the area and looking for a place to get breakfast, I decided to check it out. This was on a weekend so the restaurant was very crowded. The parking lot was full, so I had to wait for someone to leave. To my surprise, I didn't have to wait for a table and was seated immediately. I ordered the Stuffed Mixed Berry French Toast. In case you're wondering, it really, really tasted like berries! It was good and very sweet. I would return here for brunch. The price is reasonable and the service was good. The seating is a bit cramped, which is expected for such a popular brunch spot.

Thomas's Ham & Eggery is unique, I guess it has a following🤔. Overall I gave this restaurant only 4 stars. This is because once you walk past the intimidating long lines outside and the over crowded parking lot, you'll come to realize just like i did that in some restaurants there is Quality and Tranquility, and there is HYPE. The Hype here is seeing long lines. I ordered a spinach feta cheese omelette with home fries (sliced potatoes) and buttered rye toast. I liked the presentation of my meal which came in a steel frying pan and separate plate for my toast. *My meal was actually good, but I am not sure if my omelette had feta cheese in it? I honestly didn't see any cheese ? The waitress poured coffee after coffee for me but still tasted like water. They are very attentive to coffee refills but at the cost of a watered down version?, NO THANKS. I would like to recommend that if you get a seat at the counter instead of a table you will bypass the long ridiculous lines. That is exactly what I did and the service was actually faster and more attentive. PARKING: Now that can be an issue so take the side streets like Mitchell Avenue and Landsdown Avenue & read the parking signs. Obviously the residents don't want you to park on their streets, but on the weekend you are GOOD . BATHROOMS: looked dated and were separated by a woman's and a men's which can only occupy one at a time. All in all I would have to say that this restaurant does a decent job in getting you to your food faster only because they are a bit smaller in stature than their counterparts larger more comfortable diners. I personally didn't like the exacerbated lines and the irritating parking. I just want to sit and eat with friends without all the HYPE. *THE REVIEW GURU Long Island NY

Came here on Sunday and ordered their grilled chicken sandwich along with Thomas country chicken. They are more known for their breakfast than their lunch. Their grilled chicken sandwich was overcooked and the chicken was a bit dry sadly only ate half the sandwich. The fries were also soggy and oily. For anyone coming just stick to their breakfast and pancakes.

Let me start by saying how sweet the staff is. From the gentleman who checks you in to the bus boys taking your coffee order, they were very friendly, accommodating and made us feel welcomed. As far as the food was concerned, it was okay. The scrambled eggs were soft and fluffy but the hash browns (home fries) were dry and tasteless. The potatoes were frayed and not greasy but there was something missing. The pancakes were nice, nothing special though but better than other places in Long Island. The proportions were good too. Oh and they don't serve fresh juice. They used boxed juices which is uncommon for zagat rated places. Overall we had a nice and friendly experience, but am I craving no their food? No.

Cute little spot close to Roosevelt Field. Plenty of parking and seating available. The service was prompt and polite and the food was pretty good. This is a breakfast/lunch eatery. Pictured: Beef Barley soup, Fiesta Omelette, Popeye omelette.

This place has a great, great staff. They were very friendly, made sure everything was ok and kept checking up. As for the food I wish I could say the same. I ordered the plain pancakes stack. The pancakes were very dry and flavorless. They didn't soak up the syrup very well either. The home fries were pretty bland and the Canadian bacon on the breakfast sliders could've stayed on the grill a bit longer. The special of the day french toast was really good though. It wasn't dry and didn't have an eggy taste like french toast that are poorly made do.

Very cute place, but very small inside so definitely catered more to a smaller group. Sat at the counter, which was nice. Service was great and the menu had a lot of options. I ordered the Eggs Benedict and was pretty disappointed. The hollandaise sauce was very bland and the home fries were plain and dry.

The food was really good, and the place had a nice vibe — even on a Monday around 10 AM, it was busy enough that we had to wait about 10 minutes and ended up sitting at the bar. Unfortunately, the service brought the experience down. The older waitress was sassy at first in a way we laughed off, but it kept going and eventually felt more rude than playful. I was just visiting Long Island, so I likely won’t be back anyway, but that interaction is what stuck with me most from the visit. Again, food was solid and the place was clearly popular — just not the kind of service I’d want to deal with again.

Good to experience once. Charming diner, inside and out. Nice ambiance and servers were nice. But that's everything that was good. I went little before noon on a regular week day. Place was packed and people were lining up. There's a free parking lot but was impossible to find a spot. Food was mediocre at best (decent portion). Everything tasted dry(?) to my party and made it hard to swallow. Needed to keep refilling coffee to get it down, but the service was a bit slow and was hard to flag a server down to get coffee refills or napkin. Wasn't terrible experience in general. It was a good "one time experience" spot, but likely won't return.

Convenient location next to shopping centers. Good food & nice layback retro diner with leather booths. Bar stool dining at counter also pretty cool. Food is above average but prices are a bit high for sausage, eggs, & home fries. With coffee & gratuity will put you past a twenty spot for a breakfast that normally can be had for $10-12. I think the venue is a nice attraction & probably worth a visit if you are from out of town. 👍

So bottom line, the food is good, but keep it simple. They received 3 stars because of the unorganized wait/lack of a waiting area, lack of parking and Mariela being the world’s worst server. …

Not a big deal. Older woman rushed me and my daughter to order didn’t smile at all. Just for that we won’t be going back again. She was paying more attention to her regular customers at the booth and was smiling with them but when she would go to a table she looked miserable. Lady if you don’t like serving tables stay behind the counter then.

I’ve been coming here for years. So much better than a diner with reasonable prices. Well, my last 2 visits here were awful. While the food is still good, there wasn’t enough waitresses. Meals were delivered in dribs & drabs. Had to remind the waitress to bring me my drink & had to ask for the waitress so I could get a coffee refill. The prices have skyrocketed! For example, $8 for a piece of pie. Over $20 for most things on the menu. I never expect to pay restaurant prices for diner food. I won’t be coming here anymore.

Wanted to try it for a while after passing so many time. The food was extremely underwhelming! The service was poor. Waitress kept forgetting us. Forgot our drinks the whole meal and never came back for me to ask for them. There are much better diners around.

We ordered huevos rancheros. I don’t think you can call it that if the sauce has celery and carrots. The food had no flavor whatsoever. The waitress was nice but definitely overwhelmed.

This place has given me the courage to start my own restaurant after experiencing eating here for breakfast. Line out the door every day, endless 5 star ratings over the years. Truly a human feat considering the food and experience of having your neighbors sitting literally on top of you while having to knock back the hashbrowns incinerated with a welding machine. The only positive thing I can say is that the eggs were fine and the coffee guy is nice. But what do I know, this is the best diner in the United States apparently.

Really wanted to love this place, it was packed on a Sunday late morning. Waiting 15 to 20 minutes for a table not that bad. Coffee is expensive for a very tiny cup. I was very disappointed in my eggs Benedict with smoked salmon. The smoked salmon was completely cooked. It was like eating baked salmon. Definitely not what it should have been. Husband had homemade hash. It looked and tasted like canned. The wait staff and everyone were very friendly and attentive. Food comes out fast. But unfortunately we didn’t enjoy both our breakfasts. Plus the prices are pretty high for what you get.

This place has very cool vintage retro diner vibes if you are into aesthetics. The food was okay diner food. Honestly bland - Had to add salt and pepper to everything. The home fries looked good but were overcooked and dry with little seasoning. The waitress was inattentive and rude in the sense that you could tell she did not want to be there, which I get but if you’re in a service based job don’t meet your customers with contempt. This place is tiny and they cram very small tables in the non-booth section. You are sitting on top of other patrons if you get the table section so I would recommend waiting for a booth. If you are someone like me with crowd anxiety then 100% wait for a booth but if you don’t care then it’s quick seating. Overall not worth the $43 I spent for 2 breakfast plates and 2 cups of coffee, but if you really love that old diner vibe then it may be worth it to you.

Very small place, uncomfortable, food is meh and not worth the price. The staff were okay but not as warm and welcoming as i had hoped at least. I can't get over how tight the space is and how i felt invaded by the couple next to us. I'm not one for people watching every bite i takeand staring into my plate like it was the most entertaining television show. My other 2 guests felt the same way. Will not be going back there. It's just not a good spot in my opinion. I would have loved to even give this spot 3 stars but I couldnt find one positive thing about this place.....maybe the guy coming around with coffee I guess.

This USED to be my go-to diner for the past decade. However, i’m NEVER coming here again. I had a server named Gina (old lady with curly brown hair & plastic black glasses) and she was the WORSE. She slammed extra utensils down on the table that we asked for without saying a word, forgot our toast and just threw the WRONG toast on the table without making eye contact or saying anything, she wasn’t attentive, or friendly, and had an attitude towards my colleagues & I our entire time there. I thought she was having a bad day until I saw her laughing and sitting down in the booth with other guest (who happened to be old & white like her). As you can see in the photo below, my egg melt sandwich that I’ve ordered 100’s of times was disappointing and gross. The potatoes were RAW, the cheese on the sandwich wasn’t melted at ALL, and the avocado was clearly brown…. It’s called an “egg MELT” HELLO??? NO EFFORT was put into making the food + the terrible attitude we all decided to leave no tip (something we’ve NEVER done). After paying the bill, Gina aggressively YELLS across the diner “you don’t tip?” in front of everyone. We were right about her. How professional. Don’t try shaming us for your horrible attitude. I’m not sure who’s going to go here once the oldies pass. Good luck & good riddance.

I have been here multiple times and have been received very well. Unfortunately, that was not the case today. I ordered the strawberry croissant french toast, however I asked if I could add blueberries to it, which they end up doing for me. Imagine my surprise when the bill comes and a dish that’s $13.50 is now $18.50!!! $5 for blueberries?!?!?! That’s absolutely ridiculous. I could buy a whole pack of blueberries for cheaper at the grocery store. When I brought this up to my server Gina, she told me that since I added blueberries a $5 surcharge applied. She did not tell me that before and I never would’ve ordered it had she told me that when I was placing my order. Ridiculous. I’m very disappointed in my experience here today.
