Quick service, and that with a smile!! Even when really busy. The food is a staple in this part of the country. My grandmother even had us bring a sack or two when we visited her in San Antonio, TX because they didn't have any White Castle restaurants there. This is the home of the ORIGINAL "slider" burger. Can't have a slider without a Big Red!!

We got the 10 sliders and the larger order of onion rings for around $10-12, that’s a really good price for that much food in this day and age! The workers were nice and helpful. Only sad thing was they were out of the garlic cheese which we wanted to try :( but I know it’s not the workers fault, they’re doing their best! :)

My family is originally from New Albany. In fact, my father and aunt grew up in the house right next door to this White Castle in the 50s (different family lives here now) But every time we come to visit family in New Albany we have to come to White Castle as a "family tradition" We love to "eat 'em by the sack" I love White Castle sliders, and I look forward to visiting when we are in town. I would recommend this location. Enjoy!

Very slow drive thru. So I went inside to try that, very slow workers. They are doing a lot of talking and worrying about who gets a break next than how many customers are waiting for food. I've never had a white castle take this long in my life. Let's get one closer to Georgetown, IN. The burgers were still good! Edit: they're getting better with the speed in the drive thru. My update. They've hired more people, and the drive thru speed has improved.

Don't underestimate the power of these sliders. They are extremely tasty and always made with care. This is a really good branch because of the employees. They've never gotten my order messed up. They ask you what sauce(es) you want, then give . These little touches keep me coming back every time I'm in town. Another thoughtful thing the employees do, is to make sure you have your drink as your wait for your food. Even if the order takes a bit longer to cook, I don't mind because burgers are hot and fresh and I have my drink in the mean time!

In fact, this day I craved for 45 minutes (WOULD WAIT AN HOUR DON'T CARE) and I had to take a pic of the lovely young shirtless gentleman who patrolled the drive thru line with a long piece of thin wood, and a straw. The service was good the only problem I asked for fresh hot coffee they made a new pot and gave me the coffee before the pot was finished right from the beginning got the fresh coffee and it was not deluded with the 50 cup pot and it was so strong it was terrible I could tell the server was not a coffee drinker. 😀

They are really on it lately! A few years back, one thing you could be sure of was that your order would be wrong. Now... I haven't had any mistakes in a very long time. Only problem now... Plan on at LEAST 10 min in the drive thru line. Dining room, nor walk up take out are available.

I'm still torn as to how to rate this place. The service was friendly and quick. I enjoyed the breakfast sandwich, but when I came for lunch I ordered the sliders. I did not care for the sliders. Have you ever had a burger from a vending machine that you have to microwave before eating? I would say that these little burgers are very similar in taste. Maybe it's an acquired taste, but I couldn't finish the 4 I ordered. I was quite disappointed considering how much I liked breakfast. I'm giving it 4-stars because of the service and breakfast sandwich. Next time I'll try something else for lunch and see if I have better luck. This particular location is nice though. It's clean and well kept. It seems to be a meeting place for the community and I saw many groups of people having their morning coffee and chatting up a storm. One man even seemed to be giving some harmonica advice to his mates. It made me miss the small town life where everyone knows the next person that walked through the door and the lady behind the service counter knew everyone by name. The woman behind the counter even recognized me from breakfast and greeted me with a smile. Lovely restaurant for that reason alone.

The food is always great and fresh tasting. The restaurant is always clean and the workers have a clean appearance. I'm only giving four stars due to the unusually long waits and about half the time the order is incorrect. I wouldn't mind waiting if the food was always correct. As long as you check your order before you drive off, you should be pleased with your experience.

Food was fresh and good like I remember it from my childhood. I noticed the two cars ahead of me had to go to the crave zone. Not sure what they got but I was hoping I did not need to go there. In general fast food is no longer fast it is just food. Longer waits are the new normal.

I love White Castle and everyone is always friendly at this restaurant, but the lady who MUST be the manager since she's always there no matter the time I go in is under a lot of pressure and the wait times are getting super iffy due to staffing shortages. I had an order the other night for 4 1921 Burgers and an onion rings, but after driving 30 miles discovered I had gotten 8 regular white castles and an order of cheese fries. I didn't even call since it took over 20 minutes just to pick up a drastically incorrect mobile order.

The food is good. My complaint is that it took 30 plus minutes to get through the drive thru. I would have parked and went in, but the way this particular locations parking lot and drive through are designed, I could not park and once I had a chance to park, I was afraid I would be blocked in. Second complaint - I ordered a regular 4 slider meal with Onion rings. I requested Ketchup and Mustard - they gave me 3 packets of each - 3 packets isn't even enough for just the Onion Rings. So basically I had to eat my sliders with no Ketchup. I was also provided only 1 napkin - 4-5 would be acceptable, not one.

Slow. Messed up the order twice. Tried giving me the Food for the car behind me. Food was cold when it finally came out.

Normally I would give this location 5 stars. But they have a sign on the door that states they're open for carryout. But it's always locked. If I order online from the sidewalk a block away, for carry out, and can't walk in to get my drink and piss when I get there to the location, there is a problem that is actually worse than 2 stars.

I've been coming to this White Castle since I was a kid. The parking lot in the lobby has been updated nicely. It is very nice to see how the food is prepared.

If there is more than one car in drive thru you should expect to spend 30+ minutes waiting. This place used to be fairly fast but lately it has been terrible. I love White Castle but I have been visiting less frequently because the service is so slow.

What is it about White Castle burgers that make you have to buy them when you travel to a place where they have them? Even though the service is terrible (they accidentally skipped our order, good thing we had the receipt) and the eating area is so grungy and low class, we'll probably still go when we're in town. We know we'll end up with stomach aches, but we just can't resist.

They only get 3stars from me. It would have been 5 had they not gave me the wrong sandwiches and were apologetic about it. That would have knocked them down to just 4stars had they not forgotten my fries the 3rd time. The food was hot and tasty. That and the store being clean are the only reasons they got 3stars. They were not friendly. They did not apologize for messing up the order. They did not even say thank you the first time around.

When you pull up to the speaker they should take your order but several times they told me to wait. I had to wait a long time. If they took your order right away you would get your order faster. Several times I have waited and they took too long to take my order and I left.

I did not like how I was served that time of morning, I use to work there when I was younger at 18, my food was warmed up not cooked fresh, nor was the coffee, very disappointed nothing like it use to be SAD

What can you say about a white castle burger ? It's pretty standard. Service was extra slow. Was given the wrong side. The atmosphere 🤷 Seems like a lot of homeless folks hang out here. Lots of disabled folks on electric scooters too. These people didn't bother anyone, they just grabbed a bite to eat, a cold drink and a little air conditioning.

Food is great. People are chill. Line is SLOW. No matter what time of day, this location has the one of longest drive through waits. Consistently ~20-30 mins at 2 cars from the order speaker. I tried using the app to reduce wait time, but the dining room was closed (at 7pm) and ended up waiting 15+ in the line anyway.

I went in to order and only one other person ahead of me. I ordered 1 slider and waited and waited and waited for it. Took 17 mins for an employee to even acknowledge I was standing there and waiting for my order. The cook took a break and left the kitchen. When he came back he told me he had just clocked in (even though I clearly watched him walk out) and was trying to catch up orders even though I was the only person waiting. The food was fresh and tasted good as long as you aren't in a huge hurry.

Use to be great, now your sitting in drive thru for over 30 minutes. Food is always cold. Fries are disgusting always

Easily the filthiest White Castle I have ever been to. See the pictures for proof. Service wasn't rude, but you can tell that they have all given up and have had the life sucked out of them. They're understaffed and overworked and they just don't care anymore. That being said, my order was prepared correctly and it tasted really good.

The food is great, when you can get it. The employees are super friendly. Every time I come here I sit in the drive-thru, they ask me to wait for my order, they make me wait forever, and I just drive off. Happened twice in the past month where I sat 5 minutes at the speaker and the line never moved. They must be super short handed.

Very hit or miss when they're on its good when they're not it's no good. Has gone downhill in the past 10 years. When I was younger they seemed to do a much better job overall. I like their food but your gambling and recently it’s been the worst. I use to like eating here at night when other places are closed and the food has been awful the past few times I’ve tried it. Won’t be back anytime soon

We come to this white castles several times a month, at all different times of day/night. Always good service, friendly people hot food. Today at 12:48 pm when we drove thru that was not the case. Food was still perfect but the girl in drive thru was not. After asking to take our order she rudely told us to wait when we began to tell her. She clearly wasn't listening to our order when we asked for fountain strawberry lemonade she said they couldn't make smoothies. When weE tried to repeat our drink order she interrupted again saying they didn't have the fresh lemonade

Sweet old lady that was taking my order was having a really difficult time understanding the computer system and when she would turn around and ask for HELP she was ignored and when she asked again the kid at the grill rolled his eyes and gave her an attitude. This time there was only 2 people in the drive thru in front of me and it’s taking 25+ minutes still. Gas is too expensive to be sitting in a line this long. It was a mess. The drive thru was about a dozen cars deep and not moving so I decided to go in. The store was dirty and they were counting all of the cash drawers at 5:30 pm during the dinner rush. They took no orders for 20 minutes and then only one order every 5-10 minutes. After more than a half an hour after I ordered they gave me half my food and I had to flag someone down to ask them where my other 24 cheese burgers were. Even after all of that they forgot my fries but I wasn't about to go back for them. I would have left earlier had I not already promised my kids that's what I would bring them home. All told it took me 1:10 to get my order.

Seems this location is run by 16 yr olds too busy messing around with each other to do their jobs. Was ignored at the DT speaker for 10 mins. I had a mobile order, that always seems to throw them in a tailspin. Food is usually good though. Also known for messing orders up, so check the bag.

I'm aware that you can't control all the crazy people and that the craziest of people flock to white castle. But you're really going to serve me and my family cold fries and cheese sticks? I don't think this is industry standards. Something is wrong. And I don't like asking for sault, marinara, ketchup.. maybe ask us if we want these things, and just like anybody; I'll say a little bit of each. You can tell they're pinching pennies and hurting for money by the way the drive through was backed up around the corner. White Castles and Wendy’s drive thru have been a mess ever since Covid and have never recovered. Idk why they can’t seem to get it together. They look like they have enough employees, everybody is standing around…and service is very very slow. Plan on a minimum of 20 min regardless of what time of day it is. I am currently at 12 min and it is 10:57 on a Wed evening. Not exactly rush time!

Food was ok. Hot fries at least. Not their fault but they were advertising g fish and crab cakes when I went....who the heck wants crab cakes from a fast food place. Again not their fault but it did not impress me. Lobby was a little dirty and dingy. Self serve soda machine was out of ice and did not have many fla or stocked (it was a touch screen mix the flavors kind of soda dispenser) there were no coke products available so I chose hi c fruit punch which wouldnt be in my top 5 choices but oh well. And it came out dark orange so I just dumped it a d got water. Wait was a little long but not crazy for 12 in the afternoon. Not many customers in the restaurant so it must've been drivethru holding up lobby food.

I placed an app order and arrived a minute or so before the suggested time. I had to wait 25 minutes to pick up my food. Near as I could tell they had 4 employees working. This restaurant either has poor service or not enough people working. Also, the food was warm, not the usual hot off the griddle taste. Went back to the window and complained only to be given an ATTITUDE and told I couldn't get a refund. The attitude was so bad, I didn't know if they would spit in my food or not. Absolutely the worst. First time in my life that I've drove off after ordering. Employees locked headset to ignore customers then get an attitude bat the speaker after calling the store to remind them the headset was locked. (30 minutes waiting at the box). Then they ignore the customers at the window. Total of 45 minutes waiting for food and then I just said screw it and left. I'll never be returning. It's terrible how such a great store has went SO far down hill. Guess Clarksville will have more business from here on out.

This store is getting ridiculous. It's taking between 6-9 minutes for someone to baleable to order at the drive thru speaker. And since the inside dining room is closed (with no signs until you get to the locked door) there is absolutely no excuse for it to take this long. Most of the menu is based off of variations of 3 items. If you can't keep up then you need to limit the variations you offer. The food quality has also dropped drastically, this will probably be my last visit if things continue the way they are going. This location has become a disgrace....

This location is a absolute joke, went in to order was the only person to order food someone else was seated eating once I pla ed my order of 12 sliders and 2 cheese fries I waited for 35 mins as at least 8 people that came in after me had gotten their food and at least 15 car passed through the drive thru just to get 2 burnt fish sliders and one of the cheese fries had cheese and honey mustard. This place has no sense of urgency whatsoever. If you are in a hurry, keep going because they will make you an hour late. There is one young manager with dark hair and she is small, that girl kicks butt, but anyone else, they just stand their doing their turtle pace. It's horrible.

Horrible experience. We were in line for close to an hour and there were 4 employees standing outside smoking and laughing... only to order our food and get home to the wrong order. We called and they said "sorry" come back up and we will fix it but you have to wait in line again. Do not go here, it takes 40 min in the drive through, no matter if they are busy or not. It would be quicker to drive to a Louisville white castle. I'm not sure what happened but this place should be shut down.

Chronically understaffed. Placed an order for pick up at 7:40 no one even acknowledged me until 7:58 then when I told them I didn't want food that had been sitting for 15 mins first they lied and said it was under a heat lamp when I literally watched it sitting there the whole time not under anything and kept trying to hand me the same old for 4 times before they finally remade it. We waited over 15 mins in the dining area for our food. Realized the lady didn't get the shake in our first order so we had to order another time. Waited longer for our food to find tomatoes we said no tomatoes on our sliders and found a couple grey hairs in our sliders. This location had at least 7 employees back there and yet it still took over 15 mins to recieve our order they need to get it together

Waited over 35 minutes for a 40 dollar order to be wrong. When I called to inform them the order was wrong the guy lied & said it was rang up wrong. I have my receipt, no it wasn’t. If you get the “crave” I highly suggest driving to ANY location other than the New Albany location. I wasn’t offered a refund, a fix, not even a coupon. Just a “it was rang up wrong”. To be fair though, had they offered to fix the order I would’ve declined because then I would’ve wasted another 35 minutes of my life.

Lately this location has been worse than usual. Several cars ended up leaving the drive-thru because no one would even greet them after several minutes of waiting at the speaker. My husband decided to go inside after seeing this and waited for almost 20 minutes and still no one inside took his order so we ended up leaving. There is no sense of urgency in anything they do and it is very obvious that no one cares. It’s worth driving to Clarksville because I can almost guarantee you will get home with your food before the New Albany location even takes your order and gets you your food. Consistently the worst White Castle we’ve ever been to.

They always tell youn when they are busy, if you order it will be 45 minutes. Complete exaggeration so customers will leave. They pretend like they can't see you when you walk in instead of greeting you and letting you know they will be with you when you can. I have a laundry list of complaints about this place and I have stopped going to this location. When I door dash, I turn down all orders from here.

I ordered a large order of crave and clutch cases to be picked up this morning for work, they did not do my order. It was scheduled to be picked up at 4:45 am, I ordered it a day or 2 ahead like I have for the last 5 years and this year they just didn't do it, it was for 25 people at my work needless to say they kind of ruined my Christmas I do for my work every year.

Currently been sitting behind a vehicle ready to take their order. Been 5 minutes. Sad thing is they didn't turn off the mic so you can hear the employees having conversations while customers are just waiting to have their orders taken! Haven't even acknowledged the vehicle in front of me! I had a conversation with driver I n from of me. By now it's been 10 minutes. He said they hadn't even acknowledged him. We finally honked our horns and they realized they had a line backed around the building. White castle is usually known for fast service. But not this one. It's a joke. Absolutely horrible service we sat in line for like 5 mins then another 5 at speaker and they asked us to wait before they could even take our order and there was only 3 cars in front of us. The car at the window when we got their was still there when we left. The food is decent but not worth the wait time we probably would have waited atleast 20-30 minutes before getting to the window! DO BETTER! It is FAST Food for a reason. White castle is actually slow food so if you have time restraints highly advise against going here. Wow! Have never been in a white castle this uncomfortable. From the moment I walked into the place, I could feel the negativity. I waited an extra long time for a small common order. Half the drinks on their machine were out. The girl at the front counter really did not seem to know what she was doing. Made it an uncomfortable situation to even ask for them to hook up the missing drinks. When my order was ready, I took it, went out to my car, and drove to my next destination. I had been working all day and had not stopped to eat, so needless to say, I was famished. Fortunately, my destination was just a few minutes down the road. I took out a burger. The cheese was still cold and whole. It had not melted, which gave me concern for the rest of the sandwich. I had ordered a number one. I did not want the fries but took them anyway because they were a part of the meal. The French fries were cold, and so were all 4 of the little burgers. I tried to eat 1, but I just could not.It was so disgusting.

Waited 32 min for an online order in the drive-thru food was ice cold by the time we got it. Time before that I went in to pick up an online order stood at the counter for 15 min just had staff looking at me and smiling and one even waved. No one asked about my order to take it when I could see my order on the counter. I am also going to point out both times there might have been 5-6 cars in drive-thru. They are slow, rude, and will give you cold food and hope for the best. I won't be going back anytime soon. Adding another restaurant to the chopping block.

My sister and I went there this past Thursday through the drive through and it took us 45 minutes to get to the window to get our order. I'm not exaggerating. We asked the girl why 45 minutes to wait at a FAST FOOD RESTAURANT and her response was there were a few people inside that had huge orders. I don't really believe that answer since there were very few cars in the lot. I feel like they were probably understaffed but don't know why she would have made up a different story.

Driver through worker was so messed up, her eyes were rolling around in her head.

The food sure has went downhill. My 10 sack of cheeseburgers were cold and the bread was hard like it had been sitting out all day. White Castle had the best chocolate shakes around but that too had fallen from the best to worst really fast. Very disappointed and embarrassed to call this White Castle our New Albany White Castle. Whomever calls the shots better take more pride in shaping up your team.

Slowest place ever!!! Waited over 35 minutes in drive through after placing order before leaving without my food…. Waited 15 minutes to place order And not the 1st time this has happened

Always the slowest of all white castle restaurants. A little better than in the past year but still extremely slow. Last here we had to drive away because they never did get to us. This was once the epitome of great service but that was decades ago. They really should just close this location and open a different store with all new employees because clearly these don't care about their job and all the horrible reviews.

This isn't a half bad store. Its usually clean. Only issue is the employees standing right by the door smoking. Why would anyone want to walk through cigarette smoke to go eat? Just gross

Came on the fourth of July wasn't expecting perfection but surprised to get flat out negative care. Just ordered simple sliders for me and my kids and asked for no pickles. Ended up with no anything cheese onions 0 just a patty and buns. My kids had impossible burger and it was cold as if they half thawed it. Sad to see how low this place as fallen so many great memories here.

I've been here twice in the past 3 weeks the first time was a Saturday night around 11:30, I ordered online thinking it'd be quicker than ordering when I got there. Assassin drive-thru for probably 15 minutes and didn't move so I was like screw this I ordered online I'm going to go inside and get it. Big mistake. A set of the counter for probably a half an hour before anybody even acknowledged me and then they told me I was checked in and they got it and they were going to work on making our food so I went and sat down at a booth. When the people behind me in line got their food ate and left I went back to the counter. Weather night manager walked past me about 20 times. She never once acknowledged me looked at me or anything. After about 20 minutes more of standing at the counter I asked if I could get some help. They showed me they had my food done and ready so they handed me a bag that was sitting behind other bags on the counter like it had been forgotten. We left got home in the order was completely wrong and cold. The burgers were so salty you could barely eat them. I was at White Castle last night once again ordered online thinking to be quicker. It wasn't bad it was quick in and out but when we got home our order was wrong. There's no excuse on why my order was wrong because there was nobody there and I don't know how it works exactly but I'm pretty sure the order pops up on the screen and you put what's on that order in bags. I used to love White Castle but I seriously doubt I'll be back anytime soon.
