Best New York Style pizza in Albany area!!

I’ve been coming to this pizza place for a long time. The sauce is what got me. I love their sauce. I always ask for extra sauce because it’s that good. The Sicilian’s is my favorite. I’m from Brooklyn and ‘I love New York pizza’ is the closest to how the pizza in Brooklyn as far as the ‘taste is’. I recommend this pizza place to anyone especially the tourist. The beef patty is not like the store one. The store one slaps cheap cheese on it and call it a day. The owner adds which is my favorite, Mozzarella. And it’s very crispy and not soft like the store kind is.

Great service, always ready in a NY minute, and their pizza reminds of the delicious food when I was a child. I've tried pizza (in other states while traveling) in the Capital District but this is by far the BEST! Try a slice of cheese and you won't be disappointed. Their alfredo pasta and fried dough are hits with my picky eaters.

Everything went smooth. The staff were super friendly and made it super easy to grab a bite to eat after a long day. Make sure you definitely stop by and go grab a slice or two. For that matter grab a whole pie and why not check out other menu items as I do not believe you will be disappointed.

Great pizza place! I got the beef lasagna pizza and it was to die for. Workers were super nice (talked to me while I was waiting), and gave me a water on the way out for free. Definitely a 10/10, highly recommend this place if you are in the area.

Dinner tonight was I love NY pizza on central ave in Albany .. Iv been coming here for years. Literaly since I was a child 😫 This is one of those “ol faithful” type of places. Like is the food gonna be authentic, award winning Italian meals? No. But will it hit the spot each time? Yes I got eggplant parm with spaghetti noodles. And my son got a chicken parm sub. My food was good for cheap eats. Exactly how I expected it. His food he said was also good. It did however look extreamly dry to me. (The bread) But on the subject of eggplant parm. Where can I go to get a “WOW” type dinner ?  Homemade, authentic and yummy. As if someone Nonna was in the kitchen making the dish herself … Suggestions ??? —51ATE

Always had good pizza for the price but now that the prices are going up i cant justify the price it used to be the best buy in the city but that comes with inflation pizza has always been a 6.1 but it tasted like an 8. 3 when it used to be cheaper

Great New York style thin crust pizza. Plus lots of other Italian favorites. Never been dissatisfied. The people who own the place have worked extremely hard to make this place a success.

Do not order using Slice. It was the worst delivery ever. Pizza and wings were ICE cold.

We were passing through Albany and I craved an authentic New York style pizza. Based on their advertisement and reviews, I chose "I Love NY Pizza..." I'm sorry I did. The pizza wasn't terrible, but it definitely does not live up to the name. I ordered a large cheese pizza and it was doughy, thick and under cooked, the cheese was not completely melted and it was very light on sauce. I wanted some version of a NY street pizza - thin, crispy crust that you have to fold over to eat, just the right balance between cheese and sauce, the grease running down your hand as you eat it... This is not that. Again, not the worst pizza I've ever eaten but most definitely NOT New York Pizza. I didn't even finish the whole thing. As for the service, it was great and fast. But I would have gladly accepted rude and slow if the pizza had lived up to the name and been true New York style. I will look elsewhere if I ever seek pizza in Albany again.

Menu clearly states white house pizza sauce! This clearly has red sauce on it! When I called to say something I was told I was wrong, I made the person on the phone go check google himself! Only then did he apologize for his attitude! He offered to make me another one but at this point I was home and refused to go back out for their mistake! He was apologetic but had no other solution going forward! The pizza is decent, garlic bread looks absolutely nothing like what is pictured and I paid $1 for a pack of Ken’s ranch dressing! If I wanted store bought ranch I had that at home! I will not be going back to this location! I gave 2 stars only because in the end he was apologetic! Hopefully they will get their mistakes fixed and work on their attitude!

Their 🍕 is not all that and have had WAY better! The sauce iis not flavorful, actually taste cheap 🤮 Make sure to have antacids available after consuming a slice or more

Three hours later, never got my food despite talking to them three times and then they closed down for the night without delivery. Ordered one pizza and wings. Told it would be 40 minutes. An hour and a half later I call and they ask my address and say "yep just left will be there in ten". 45 minutes later I call again and they said they never made it but would rush it to me, would have in 30 minutes. Gave them an hour and called back and no answer, they were CLOSED. How unacceptable.

1st time customers. The food was terrible. Calzone was tasteless. Doughy. The pizza was so bland and mostly just cheese hardly any sauce and was kind of slimy. The cannoli's we ordered we didn't even try because I'm Italian and if your pizza and calzone are terrible there's no way I'm trying your cannoli. They forgot our soda. We called the delivery guy. No answer. Called the store for almost two hours the line was busy. Then finally got through and no one answered. I called today and spoke with someone, he apologized and said they've been in business for twenty years so they don't understand. He asked what they could do for me. I said ya know if you want to refund me or give me a gift card to try again that would be great, if not that's okay. He said, okay take care and we hung up. That was it.

I used to love their chicken marsala pizza this was the only place I could find it but after ordering for delivery getting 2 thin crusty pieces of pizza with barely any topping i called for it to be fixed. They happily offered to bring my 2 replacement slices but they were no better seeing how they were extremely thin and the topping was barely cooked.. idk if this place is under new management or what but i need the chicken marsala pizza to be back on point..

A co-worker came back from lunch (late) upset, I am so happy I decided not to place a order!!!! what happened to her at you place was total unbelievable. Really very bad Customer servers!!!!!! Trust me the word is getting around about how you treat people. It would be a good idea to have some re-training, I am sure everyone (customers ) we be happy

We didnt enjoy the food at all. We ordered 2 subs and both were made wrong. I didn't ask for tomatoes nor lettuce and the bread was way too hard, not to mention when i arrived to pick up my order, i was informed that they had run out of american cheese during lunch hours. The pizza may be the safest choice

I have been ordering from them for a while and lately the service has gotten worse. Today I ordered 20 mild wings extra crispy and when I received them they were very dry so I called and asked why was the wings so dry and I was told if I wanted Extra sauce I needed to ask for extra sauce for a dollar. I could not believe what I was hearing due to that fact the wings had no sauce on them at all just oil. Well I will spend my money elsewhere and so will my co workers.

This place used to be really good. You could get a whole pizza and wings for $11 at one point. I went in here a few days ago and paid $20 for 10 boneless wings and a slice of pizza. I wouldn't be writing this review if the guy wasn't so rude. I tried to make small talk and he's just ignores me. On top of that my pizza wasn't very good and the wings had a stale refrigerator like taste to them. I believe it was the sauce used on them. Not very good at all. Especially for the price I paid.

Pizza was old and he said it was fresh I travel alot and try many restaurants for pizza and there pizza had been sitting there for hrs for them to have to rewarm it. Also the pizza sauce was nasty. Would not go back. Nice owners just didn't like the pizza

I order a combo meal from here to feed a family which included 1 large cheese pizza, 20 piece wings, and a sprite. My order arrived with 10 terrible undercook wings, a ginger ale, and the pizza was extremely cold. I’m very disappointed in this establishment and judging by the reviews, others are too. The restaurant didn’t even have the courtesy to call and when I called, no one picked up the phone. When I went to head there, the establishment was closed. Poor everything all the way around.

Went to I Love New York pizza website. Wanted a delivery order; press delivery. Placed order, had specific instructions. Order gets dropped off by Door Dash. No where in this process did it indicate DOOR DASH delivery. Order is incorrect. Called I Love New York - where I thought I ordered from- had no record if any delivery to my address. Door Dash has no idea where they picked up the order. NEVER order from this confusing scam. I Love NY pizza central Avenue Colonie!!! You won’t get your order. NO PHONE NUMBER was found during this process!!!

RUDE AND TERRIBLE. I left my phone number to be reached at and they emailed me instead of calling to tell me the driver is outside with my food and instead of ringing my doorbell they decided to bring my order back and wouldn’t come back when i called. They Canceled my order instead of coming back with my phone and also charge my card already and making me wait days for a refund. I called owner told me it’s not his problem. And as a fast food worker, their service sucks! Don’t eat from them.

I wish I could talk about the food but I never got my order , the delivery person left it at the wrong address . A simple phone call could have avoided this , not only did I not get my order I ran across it outside the next day on the step of the apartments next door wasn’t there the day I ordered but magically the next morning it’s there full of ants 🐜 smh why would you leave someone’s food on the ground especially if we are paying & tipping for DELIVERY not a drop off : hope the next time the driver will contact the customer to say hey I have your order but I’m having trouble finding your place

A few months back they served me a barely thawed calzone that was half the size of the one I’d bought only a few weeks prior for the same price. I’m talkin’ cheese still cold and solid inside and everything. On top of all that, sometimes when you ask for the proper receipt they just pretend they don’t understand you and give you a useless piece of paper if you’re trying to verify you aren’t getting scammed. Notably, never happened to my brother who is 6 ft of walking irritation. Never went back after because they were playing with my money I would not recommend going here.

Originally left 5 stars until somebody told me the charge more after a certain time and when I asked the owner he froze up as if trying to hide something, after he then proceeded to act like we wasn’t just talking for a few minutes prior and that told me everything I needed to know. Long story short they overcharge for mediocre pizza which explain why you can’t find the price for a single slice anywhere.
