One Dream Jamaican Cafe & Lounge

I was craving curry chicken but didn’t feel like cooking at all. I saw this place driving by and upon entering thought it was a club due to the DJ set and lounge set up in the front. The food was further inside and the restaurant itself was clean and organized. The curry chicken came with sides and was delicious and well seasoned.My order also came out quick which is a plus.

One dream has became my go to Jamaican restaurant ever since I came across. Everything is just on point. The flavor, the authenticity, the presentation, the portions are just as I like. If you are looking for good Jamaican food, here is the definitely the place. The staff is very warm and inviting. The environment is nice with moderate noise. I love it!! Highly recommend

When I went to the One Dream Jamaican Restaurant, I ordered ackee and salt fish with a side of festival. The food was so great , I really enjoyed it and I will be back soon.

My new favorite Caribbean restaurant!!! The service was above average…. I was greeted immediately and felt more than welcomed. 10/10. I came for breakfast and will definitely return for dinner and drinks! Good vibes!

I've tried so many dishes and have never been let down, the taste of all the Ingredients coming together are tantalizing to the taste buds. If you ever out in albany and Craving some home cook Jamaican cuisine One dream jamaican cafe is definitely a place the place to stop.

The food was amazing! Made to order. I got the oxtails and with rice and peas and Mac salad and it was the closest I felt to back home in a long time. The owner was a very nice lady and made me feel very welcomed. This will be my spot every time I’m in the mood for a taste of back home.

Highly recommend this place. The people were nice and had friendly service. I got my food quickly. It was delicious! I wish I had taken a photo but I already dug in before deciding to leave a review. I’ve been trying all the Jamaican restaurants in Albany and this is by far the best! The oxtails were tender and falling off the bone. They also weren’t stingy with giving meat or gravy. The oxtail has a little kick to it(I can’t handle too much spice) but I would say for people who love spicy it would be perfect. Also the sorrel was very flavorful. I will return!

My family and I are visiting and went there for dinner tonight. The customer service was on point. I wish I had asked the lady her name, but I assume she's the owner? She made sure my 2 year son was comfortable the entire time we were there. I had the oxtail, which was so tender and flavorful. My husband ordered the stew beef and that was delicious too. Amazing hospitality and great quality food - what more can you ask for? I'll definitely be back the text time we're in town.

Might be the best beef patty I’ve ever had. Perfect flakiness and amount of spice. The curry chicken with rice and peas, and plantains, was delicious. They were out of jerk chicken but it’s one more opportunity for me to grab lunch here in the near future!

Solid food. Was not hot, only warm, but that was about what I expected from photos - servings from a large batch. Chicken portion is not as big as it looks, as it's almost as much bone as meat, but it was still solid price. Curry Chicken was good flavor, not the most intense but good. Lots of bones as is the style, but unfortunately many of them had been chopped and cooked such that they fractured into tiny shards that couldn't be identified in the sauce, making eating a bit of an ordeal. Even so it was not bad, but equally flavorful curry chicken can be found elsewhere without the bone shards. Rice was good and has generous kidney beans if that's your thing, pasta salad was excellent. Service ranged from low key to very attentive depending on who it was, but if the order was prepared correctly and in good time that's what matters, and it was. Most of the lights inside were off at night, with most seating put away. Strong smoke smell inside, but not strong enough to follow you out.

The flavor was okay—nothing wild this time—but I’d be willing to come back and try another dish before making a final judgment. Overall, a decent first visit with friendly service. Worth giving them a try.

My food was cold rice plaintains were very dry and not sweet was hard just like the rice my oxtails were tougher than rubber… my food seemed like I got old food… the flavor was great, the Mac salad was great… very disappointing to have to spend all that money on food that you don’t get to enjoy
