Favorite place to visit for mead. Ray and Dan are exceptional bartenders. The monthly meads are great. Best stop if you’re ever in Albany and need a drink.
Wonderful first experience. Tucked away off of Madison Ave, it'd be hard to miss if it weren't for the huge beautiful mural on the one side of the building. Friendly, knowledgeable bartender and easy to talk to about the variety of meads available. I got a flight and loved the variety of flavors. They ranging from honey sweet, dry and spicy! Quiet metal music playing in the background added to the Viking/Grecian vibe. Cool to hear the history of the building. A great addition to the neighborhood. Looking forward to going back.
I've been looking forward to this establishment opening and I was not disappointed. The staff was friendly and pleasant, chatty without overstaying their welcome. The meads were delicious and varied, and the beers were local or regional. Seating inside was cozy but well-spaced, and outdoor seating was generous. The music ran a great playlist of new and classic rock; "Sympathy for the Devil" rolled as we soaked up the warm spring breeze on some robust metal chairs. Their were even some very diesel benches and stools along the building, trying to maximize the space. Street parking was ample, just pull around the corner and sidle along the curb, but watch the cobblestones if you're sporting heels. Their house mead, "The Muse," was light and sweet, a glass of afternoon sunshine offering a floral bouquet with hints of licorice, reminiscent of Sambuca. Do yourself a favor and give it a try. Overall, the ambiance here is casual and secluded-- great for a date where you've lost three hours chatting before you even realize it. It's a treasure in the downtown space that I hope we get to enjoy for years to come. Why not go buy drink and help make sure that happens.
I love it here! The mead is delicious and they have a great selection of other libations. Customer service is awesome, Dan and Will are great. I highly recommend The Bull and Bee Meadery!
I have not been to this location but I have bought and tried their mead at several popups! It was AMAZING and very versatile. I’ve made cocktails with it and also just enjoyed it as is. Definitely a fan over here!
What a great place. On a whim we stopped there as we were curious about trying mead. We ended up playing the trivia that is there every Sunday and our team won and walked away with a bottle of mead. Definitely worth checking out if you're in Albany.
Very nice place to try some different kinds of mead. Very clean and staff very polite. Was my 1st time here. The bartender Ray was very helpful to tell me about all the different types of drinks. I must have tried 5 or 6 different types. There were two or three I really liked. I will be back to try some more again for sure.. nice to know that they have gluten free drinks for the people that can not have gluten.
Came during a snowstorm, Ray was behind the bar and more than hospitable. Mead is delicious. Brought in a slice from around the corner and had a flight or two, great way to ride out a blizzard.
Small place. Great meade. Owner is a cool dude.

My very first mead tasting experience. What a delight! This is a small neighborhood treasure. Very welcoming and friendly atmosphere. Ali, the batista was so kind and patient, she passionately explained to me all the mead making process and different flavore profiles. Ali also, patiently answered all my questions and made me feel so welcome. Thank you for the unforgettable experience, I'll be back on my next layover.
Really enjoy having a meadery within walking distance. Their Midas is my favorite of theirs as it really has a great honey flavor.
Had a great visit here for the first time. Knowledgeable staff explained the whole process of making mead and walked us through a couple of flights. Be prepared, mead is fairly sweet tasting (fermented honey, makes sense!). I absolutely loved their "genesis" and the mint chocolate chip flavor profiles. Not crowded, and I definitely took advantage of the unlimited fresh popcorn! Also had some local breweries on tap. Small and cozy atmosphere. Glad we came!
I saw the Bull and Bee tasting table I tried some “sweet Meade” delicious! (They were set up at the Albany, capitol, concourse, farmers market) I was invited to come the tasting room just a few blocks away later that evening. A friend of mine was coming to visit the Albany area that night and we were looking for a “good time, experience” to enjoy together. This was perfect! We started our night at the Bull and Bee tasting room. We ordered flights of Meade, we tried a bunch of flavors. We tried Coffee, spicy, sweet, classic… and more. Amazing! And delicious! Upon entering the tasting room, we were greeted by the bartender/owner Ray. An amazing and welcoming soul. We got to talking about the different flavors that they offer and their bottling process. Right from the beginning we were treated as though we were already friends/family and felt like we had known each other for years. Stopping at the bull and bee and starting our night here was a catalyst beginning to one of the best nights I have had in years, there was a concert venue just down the street that was having a metal show which complemented the mead that we had purchased from the tasting room perfectly. I came back the very next day and bought a couple bottles. Delicious product, highly recommended. Perfect location, warm inviting atmosphere. 10/10 thanks!
Had a great mead tasting with the owner! Really liked the peach, the coffee and the star anise! Thanks for a great experience!
My wife and I stopped in on an unusually hot afternoon. The spot was cool, inviting and the meads were very tasty! Ray was working the bar and extremely helpful and informative. Not only did he explain the mead varieties and ingredients very well, but he was also knowledgeable about the local beer selections they offered, many of which are available in cans from the cooler. Overall it was a little gem of a find and we will recommend it to our friends and family when they visit Albany. I recommend stopping by to all others as well.
Awesome meadery! Unique flavors, great customer service, and a very cool, local vibe. I wish we had more of these in Montana!
No food options are available but plenty of drink options are! My boyfriend surprised me with a visit to this bar while visiting Albany & so glad he did. I never heard of honey wine but boy is it good & strong! The bartender & co-owner was friendly and knowledgeable on honey wine. I had a good time here & I will definitely stop in again whenever I’m in town!
Mead here is top quality. I've never been a fan of mead. Let me tell you, this place changed my mind. It is very, very good. They have different flavors every time I've been here. Always take a bottle home. They have their own honey for sale. A must stop while in Albany.
Stopped by to use the restroom, was greeted by dan, now i wasnt in the mood for a drink until he spoke about his passion. The honey wine was absolutely killer, never had something soo delicious. He seems very pleased to serve his customers!!

This place is great! The Mead specialist (bartender) was super nice, big smile and very knowledgeable! He helped me pick the perfect drink, it was light, refreshing and served with a smile! I will definitely be a repeat offender!!
Pretty neat place! Just be mindful- to take mead home is $40 a can. We definitely didn't expect to pay $100 for two flights and two cans, but it was a neat place to check our en route! Call ahead to make sure they have enough mead in stock :)
