Dining here feels like having a meal at a friend’s house. The staff is so inviting and kind, and the atmosphere is cozy. And the food— AMAZING! I grew up in Tx, and I had some of the best guacamole & pico I’ve ever had at The Bee’s Knees. The garlic shrimp & salad is great too!

So happy a place like this opened. The vibe & aesthetic are super cool, but the menu and prices are what really make it stand out. Great small plates and drink menu. Just an awesome option to have on Smith Street.

I had a delicious panini and salad. Drinks were wet and yummy too. My friend and I sat down rather easily and the kind staff were attentive. This place is low key and unpretentious. The decor, food and vibe was just right. We will be back for the Charcuterie Board the table next to us ordered!

Had the good fortune of stumbling into Bee's Knees and was met by the friendliest staff. The place is so cute. On first glance, it looks like a cute grocery/cheese shop but inside, you'll find a cute restaurant (amazing food), bar, and even a backyard section that has the vibes of a private beer garden. I love beer gardens and can't wait to go again and bring all my friends

Review for a take-out: I haven't eaten there (yet), this is a review for the take-out I've done today. We got CLT Salad and Ewephoria. It was fresh, tasty and the cheese was very much appreciated. They also give you plenty of jam/honey/almonds/... which was pretty cool. The person who gave me the food was very welcoming and pleasant. I can't wait to be back to dine-in. A nice addition to the neighborhood

Lovely, relaxed wine bar with outstanding cheeses and charcuterie plates, oysters, sparkling wines. Tucked behind an unassuming cheese counter. Cozy booths, great service from Todd, who will steer you expertly through the menu. A lovely find on a cold Friday evening.

super cute new spot, I liked their chilaquiles, very cheesy which is kind of unusual for chilaquiles but I enjoyed it. The front area has a lot of to-go food items and craft beers as well. I wish I lived closer so I could try more takeout options. The backyard area is neat with a couple picnic tables. The inside eating space feels like a modern hotel-cafe setting.

A

Great brunch, fun music, decor on point. They have a back patio that is very cute and covered and a front store where you can curate the cheese board of your dreams. Will definitely be coming back again!

We haven't come in for any food yet but we stopped in for some happy hour specials and sat at the back bar. The two bartenders that were there were awesome and really friendly and had some great recommendations for some new beers. Will definitely be back to have some more drinks and check out the food.

From the moment you step into Bee's Knees Provisions, you’re immediately greeted by the warm charm of a wine bar that understands the essence of Brooklyn's rich history. Located in the heart of the borough, this establishment has managed to cultivate an environment that perfectly marries the vintage allure of wine bars with a modern twist on gastronomic delights. One cannot talk about Bee's Knees without waxing poetic about their food. Their panini breads are nothing short of legendary. Crisp on the outside, soft on the inside, and paired with a medley of fillings that tantalize the palate. The term "melts in your mouth" has never felt more appropriate. Oyster enthusiasts, prepare to rejoice! They are fresh, succulent, and served with a finesse that showcases the oyster's natural briny beauty. But the pièce de résistance has to be their cheese assortment. Ranging from sharp and tangy to rich and creamy, each cheese feels like a journey through the world's best dairies. Paired with their curated wines, it’s an experience of decadence that every cheese lover dreams of. The wines, as expected, are thoughtfully chosen to complement the myriad of flavors on their menu. Whether you’re a seasoned sommelier or a casual wine enthusiast, the variety ensures that you'll find the perfect glass (or bottle) to elevate your dining experience. In conclusion, Bee's Knees Provisions isn’t just a wine bar – it’s an experience. From the food to the ambience and the exemplary service, it encapsulates what dining in Brooklyn should feel like. A symphony of flavors, textures, and memories await you at this gem. Highly recommended!

I don't write many reviews but this place is the perfect vibe. Food is downright amazing and they have the best paninis I've ever had. Bartender was super friendly. It also has a small cafe in the front which is cute. Coffee, cheese, and paninis. What more can you ask. Easily one of my favorite spots in Brooklyn

As a long time veteran to the neighborhood this is a welcome establishment that hits all the notes. In the morning I grab an amazing coffee drink and breakfast taco to go. For brunch for the most part there is space and the service is great and food is awesome as are portions. I have also had to make last minute plans when we have guests coming over and no groceries and their order to go for cheese plates and other items are awesome. A great place to have in the neighborhood and very reminiscent of Stinkys but a greater range of options

Lovely spot in our neighborhood. Came here for early dinner and oyster happy hour. The oysters were amazing, some of the best I’ve had in the city. Everyone in our party was happy with their food, and the service was great. Prices are also very reasonable. Can’t wait to come back again!

I wish I had a picture of all the delicious food we ordered, but it was so good that the only time I decided to take a picture was after my plate was empty haha! You can tell it was delicious by looking at the picture. We were seated on the second floor and honestly I’ve never seen such a unique look of a restaurant as this one. Super cozy, warm tones and a lot of cute details. I was obsessed with the drinks in this spot , they were delicious and strong that after my second glass I was ready to party. Overall it’s a very beautiful spot, in a very great area, crowd was super friendly, we were literally in every corner of this spot making new friends. Service was top notch. Let’s start off from the statements this cocktail lounge presents to us is the absolutely gorgeous interior. It is amazing how much detailing was put into this place and how cozy this place is. Nowadays it’s something very rare we come across going to cocktail bars. Service is another best quality of this place. They are super friendly, respectful and very patient (especially dealing with such a picky annoying person as me) lol. Customer satisfaction is the number one priority of this place and it shows. Food was very delicious as well as presentation of it was very beautiful. Cocktails is a whole another story, u don’t taste the alcohol, but believe me it catches you after few moments lol. Overall with being a picky person and never knowing if I should give a new place a shot or not - this was worth every moment of it. Absolutely loved the interior and felt so cozy being there. Staff made me feel very comfortable (because some places make me feel very uncomfortable) and I was grateful for that. Food is absolutely delicious and cocktails are heavenly. Music was fun to dance to while even seated. You definitely must must try. You won’t regret.

Finally! A way to have charcuterie without needing to buy too much stuff AND to get around the whole "tiny new york apartment and can't have people over for charcuterie" issue. I love this place. Great cheese and meat options, great prices, great dishes. The grilled cheese and salads aren't that impressive but that's ok cause I suggest charcuterie, raclette, and grilled shrimp. The staff is super helpful in choosing, too.

Have wanted to try this place since they opened. We wanted a charcuterie night and this was perfect. Meats and cheeses were fresh and delicious. Got to enjoy perfect end of Summer evening in the back yard. I enjoyed a couple of glasses of Greek red wine. My wife enjoyed a chilled red and a white, both of which were suggestions of our host/server Todd (?) My wife then enjoyed her chicken pesto panini and I enjoyed the Classic (ham and Comte panini.) We will happily return.

I’m honestly conflicted. While I want to give this place a rave review, I also don’t want it to get as crowded as it should be. 😁 The food is great! I was actually on my way to an other place & took a moment to peek at their menu & saw the raclette which immediately made me change my plans. It was absolutely the right decision! Not just is the food lovely though, with a nice variety of selections, but it is chic yet cozy & the service is outstanding. Ross was behind the bar and serving & he couldn’t have been kinder & more accommodating to my allergies. So, you should absolutely give it a try if you are looking for a solidly good, low key place, with great vibes and food to match.

This place has a lot of potential and I hope it lasts a long time in the neighborhood. We were very sorry to lose Stinky Brooklyn and this is a welcome replacement. First of all, it's very cute inside. There was a lot of thought that and money that went into this space. We loved the cozy booths in the restaurant. There is a generous selection of yummy looking products in the takeout grocery store section of the space. Looking forward to checking that out during the day. The menu has lots of choices on it which I love! Some of the dishes were hits and a few of them were misses but only for small reasons. Very good ham sandwich, tuna melt, artichoke crostini, shrimp cocktail <= very nice cocktail sauce and remoulade, raclette, charcuterie and cheese <= blueberry chutney or sauce was very good! There was an old grape amongst the grapes which I would have thrown away in the kitchen. Odd to serve raw slivered almonds on a charcuterie board. Minimally they should be toasted. The dressing on the endive, arugula and gorgonzola lacked acidity and some salt. The dressing that was on the salad that came with the sandwiches was better because it was nice and garlicky but it too could have used a touch of acid and a little salt. The gazpacho was a bit bland. The luxardo Cherry Panini was a total fail that could be good. I think the pretzel bread is a weird choice. I would use buttered brioche, or challah or even angel food cake which is great on a grill or a panini press and also stores nicely. I also think you should mix the cream cheese with coarsely chopped up cherries so they wind up in every bite but you still keep the texture. Also the nectarine needs to be ripe particularly in stone fruit season. If I were making it, I would use sugar roasted Stone fruits with a little bit of lemon in it. Less margin for error. The staff seems really inexperienced and almost terrified. Couldn't tell if one of the people there was the owner or the manager but they seemed really disconnected from us as the customers. I would be schmoozing hard if I was a new kid on the block. I know that getting help these days is a challenge for everyone in the hospitality business. What would help is having a printed list with descriptions of all the cheeses and charcuterie. Printed flavor notes on the wines by the glass would also help. A list of non-alcoholic beverages would also make things easier for them. The staff definitely need some training on how to carry drinks. One of the things that I always notice working in the restaurant business in the front of the house when it's slow it's harder to pay attention to the customers. We had to work to get the attention of the wait staff and we were the only customers in the indoor part of the restaurant. This neighborhood is very supportive of good food places and I know they're going to love this spot.

The cheese board was filling for two, the presentation was nice, and the cheese was quite good. The salad was fine, but there was a lot going on with the flavors. The butternut squash soup was simple and good, but lacked an oomph. The staff is friendly but absent. Most of the time they were chatting and not paying attention to any of the tables, even before taking our order. On the other hand, they never rushed us.

M

The food was very good and the atmosphere was really nice! It was a little pricey but the portions and quality were worth it. The staff was friendly, but seemed to be engaged in conversation each other a lot. Normally I wouldn’t mind this, but it lead to our server to forget about us a few times. Overall, a good experience and would recommend for brunch!

Most of the time they were chatting and not paying attention to any of the tables, even before taking our order. On the other hand, they never rushed us.

Dined in Not bad for a happy hour bite Might have gotten sick from one of the oysters (risk vs reward of eating oysters in general) Waiter needed multiple prompts, maybe having an off day Quaint atmosphere Felt like a nicer coffee shop Don’t know if I’ll be going back

Solid service and great atmosphere. The dishes lack a touch of finesse. The salad dressing was diluted and the chilaquiles lacked spice. Ingredients were fresh and the presentation was nice. Price point was very reasonable

Oddly, most red wines (I tasted a few before choosing) had a plum flavor to them which I did not find appealing (a glass of table red was $15 which also consisted of a plum note). The charcuterie was really good. I ordered Manchego as a part of the cheeseboard, though it was very firm and tasted more like a Parmesan which I was a little disappointed about. I would definitely go back for the charcuterie and cheeseboard and maybe get a beer.

The food is very good simple but very pricey oysters are too small for the price and the bloody Mary. I gave her a 03 out of 10. The service was very great. The attention in the restaurant atmosphere is good.

Really disappointing experience for brunch. Our server was lukewarm to us at best, rude at the worst. She was more interested in being on her phone behind the bar than attending to the customers. The food was fine— the chilaquiles were cold and bland, but the Ham & cheese sandwich was good. The coffee was hot which was a saving grace. There was only 1 other party in the entire restaurant and yet they rushed us out, clearing plates while people were still eating. Overall, cannot recommended to others in good conscience.

We were here earlier and we just wanted to provide our experience of today, may 21st. When we got there the place was fairly empty, there were at most three other customers in the dining area. At first everything was alright, the vibes were great, we ordered off the brunch menu and received our food fairly quick as well. The server though, seemed to have an issue with us, after receiving our food barely 20 minutes had passed and we were being rushed out, we hadnot finished our food. We told him we weren’t done yet and proceeded to order a few drinks. A party of 6 came in soon after he asked if we wanted the bill, and the server shifted the focus to them. We were fine with that. The issue arises when the server continued to rush us out, despite not being done with our food. We ended up taking our food to go. We were the only colored group in the dining area and the only ones who were being rushed out. We felt uncomfortable with the way he approached us so we paid our bill, grabbed our stuff and left the premises. The server then proceeded to follow us outside, call us out on the street with others around and take a picture of us because we had not left a tip. Tipping is always at the customer's discretion, while the place was great, our servers actions did not grant us the need to tip for the way he treated us. This sealed our experience at this place as the server felt the need to retaliate and harass us over not leaving him a tip.

I was unfortunately super unimpressed with Bees Knees. I've copied below the email detailing my experience with them. I emailed this to the restaurant a month ago and didn't receive a response. I went in the other day for a quick coffee with a friend who wanted to go and was met with the same weird attitude so I'm posting my email here in hopes that theres some accountability. "Hello, I wanted to reach out and share an experience that I had at Bees Knees on Friday night. I hardly ever think that writing a google review or a review on Resy is productive before reaching out to the management team so I wanted to address my concerns through email. I had heard from a few friends in the industry that I should check out Bees Knees. I walked in around 8pm. I observed 2 tables with checks down and one table that was gathering their things to go so I thought maybe my group of 2 had a chance at getting sat. We asked a bartender if there was a table we could take and if not was there a waitlist. Instead of telling us a wait time he simply replied “Its not a good time.” and turned his back to us. We thought this was an odd response but said ok no worries we’d come back another time. We went outside and checked to see if there were any tables available on Resy. Not wanting to book too soon we made a reservation for 2 at 9 pm, an hour later. As someone who has used Resy throughout my career to map out reservations, I know that sometimes the app allows a restaurant to slightly overbook. Nevertheless, I thought if we came back in an hour and there still wasn’t a table we’d just go somewhere else. We came back an hour later at 9 pm and saw an empty table as well as a check down on a table so again were hopeful. My husband went up to the same bartender and said we had a reservation. He responded in a really oddly condescending tone “Oh you have a reservation”. My husband asked if we could sit at the empty table or possibly a bar seat and the bartender responded, “we’re doing last call in 30 minutes.” I responded saying I understood we were interested in just having 1 drink. Instead of showing us to the table, he said “We close in an hour.” Message received. Another bartender intervened and tried to seat us but the environment had just been made too unwelcoming. We headed out. I understand the pressure restaurants are under right now. I understand the staffing issues. I understand the stress of working long hours in a hospitality-centered job. But I also think this behavior was uncalled for. As someone who manages a team, I would want to know if my employees were treating guests this way. I mean this feedback with the utmost respect as I’ve heard from other friends that they enjoy Bees Knees Provisions. " TLDR: Don't waste your time. The place has a lot of promise but isn't worth the attitude of the staff.

Overall really weird vibes and rude bartender. Theres enough other great places in the area to not go to a subpar place.

The staff in the front part of this place are really sweet but once you get to the bar, you’re not even greeted. Bartenders are more in tune with their conversation than greeting and taking your order. It’s so not welcoming and this place has amazing potential, they just need training or better people. I was so disappointed because I love brunch places and this was on my list. Do better!!

I never write reviews but this was an experience I’ve never had at a restaurant in my life. I don’t know if the server was just having a really bad day or what, but I came in to have brunch with my friend for the first time today at Bee’s Provision and experienced the following. The server at the coffee counter was extremely nice. He welcomed me in and asked if I wanted to dine in, which I did, and told me to help myself to a seat in the back. The entire dining room was empty except for one couple. I saw a booth and sat down and immediately was confronted by the rudest waiter I’ve even spoken to. He started yelling at me asking me what I was doing if I had a reservation (I did not) and said I couldn’t just sit wherever and do whatever wanted. I apologized and said that the coffee counter employee told me to find a seat. He yelled back at me “THATS NOT HIS DECISION, ITS MINE TO MAKE” rudely asked how many in my party. He instructed me not to sit at the booth (which is fine because I understand that it is for a party of four) and that I could sit anywhere at a TWO PERSON TABLE. I remained calm and tried to be as nice and apologetic as I could. I’ve never been yelled at from a server like that in a completely empty restaurant. I was excited to try this place and I sat down for a second, but decided that this waiter was going to make my dining experience really uncomfortable so I left. I told the barista, who look stunned, that I was going to go find somewhere else to eat because I felt so incredibly uncomfortable and unwelcome there. I’m sad because everything about this place is cute, the food looked delicious but I don’t need to torture myself with a bad dining experience. Hopefully that person isn’t the owner. Won’t be going back, a bit scared to have the same experience again.

Total disappointment. My wife and I went around 6pm on a Tuesday and were the only people in the dining room. The three people working were more interested in talking to each other than taking our order. We got drinks and oysters, were never contacted by the staff and had to ask for the check. We were excited prior because we liked the menu and thought the decor was inviting.
