Generous portions, promptly served, and very satisfying. The mango sticky rice was such a treat. We had that after a small order of veg spring rolls and bowl of vegetable pho. It was more than we could eat between two of us—and we went in with an appetite. The price is great, too.
Food was delicious and had my entire order in minutes. Great for a quick meal. Friendly staff and bathrooms were decorated well.
Super fast service. Great pho... Friendly. Good prices. Love this place. I've been going there for lunch for years
The spring rolls are also really crispy making it a good appetizer to start with before the pho. I got the #3 on the menu and the portions were pretty good for what it was worth. The broth here was also a plus that just made the whole experience better. Additionally the service here was very nice and polite. (forgot to take photos of the pho 🥲)
This was my first time here or eating pho in general. The service was quick. My friend recommended pho with roundeye cut of beef. She said it's the perfect way to introduce a new person to pho. She was not wrong. The food was delicious. The plate of veggies was a giant heap of fresh herbs, jalapeños, sprouts and lemon. Springrolls appetizer was crispy and not greasy.
Very good selection of pho and Vegetables dishes where we go for vegan dishes and quiet spot that many people pass by. On the quiet block of Grand st. The atmosphere very asian and service is a little rude but the food deliveries in large bowls. We love the vegetarian choicest like the water spinach and string beans over rice dishes. Also have so great lunch specials deals.
Tucked into the lively rhythm of Chinatown, Phở Grand is one of those rare New York institutions where time seems to slow—just enough for a familiar bowl of broth to feel like a homecoming. As a regular, you begin to understand why this unpretentious spot has sustained its loyal following for decades: it delivers comfort with the quiet confidence of a place that knows exactly who it is. The phở is the star, of course—its broth deeply layered, shimmering with the kind of clarity that only comes from hours of tending. Each bowl arrives fragrant with star anise and charred aromatics, light yet impossibly rich, the sort of balance that feels deceptively simple until you try to find it anywhere else. The slices of beef are tender, the noodles silken, and the accoutrements—Thai basil, lime, crisp sprouts—always fresh enough to brighten the entire bowl. Yet to visit Phở Grand only for the phở would be a mistake. The grilled pork chops are a quiet triumph: beautifully marinated, lightly caramelized on the edges, and carrying a smoky sweetness that pairs effortlessly with broken rice. It’s a dish that feels both everyday and indulgent—exactly the kind of plate regulars claim as their own. Service is brisk in the way that Chinatown restaurants often are—efficient, unfussy, and warm once you become part of the familiar faces that return week after week. The dining room hums with a steady chorus of families, longtime locals, and savvy diners who know that some of the city’s best meals are found where pretension is joyfully absent. Phở Grand isn’t trying to reinvent anything. Instead, it perfects the essentials: a restorative bowl of broth, a plate of grilled pork done right, and an atmosphere that rewards your loyalty with consistency. In a neighborhood rich with culinary options, this is the place you return to—not because it is flashy, but because it feels like yours.
The pho served here is good and the garnishes provided enhance it greatly. I recommend to order the pho with side of grilled beef/pork/chicken. The crispy spring rolls were better overall. I'd say the best item out of the two is the crispy spring rolls.
Classic Vietnamese fair in the Chinatown area of downtown NYC. In my opinion, this is the place you want to go if you want a no frills experience, just solid good food. This time I got Shrimp Summer Rolls & the Grilled Pork Rice Vermicelli salad. This is perfect for a hot summer day. All delicious!
My friend and I went to this Vietnamese restaurant for lunch. He recommended me to watch here because he's been a customer for years The service was fine at first but when we got food and later when we had some of it and wanted to have more vegetables (side dish for pho) the waiter asked us "what's the vegetable for? We're going to charge it" my friend said "Okay, just bring the vegetables, we wanted to have it whether you charged it or not" If the waiter just said "that's an extra charge" it'd be better response when costumers came to support the business and spent money on the food The food was good nothing to complain about it
20 years ago, this was one of the better, of the rare Vietnamese spots. This was when non-Asians thought Vietnamese food was Panda Express. Yeah, you did - Karen. It’s rather pedestrian these days, but still solid. No longer a destination, but if in the hood- it’s a relatively cheap option. Prices have practically doubled since I first came here, but so has almost everything else in the city/ world. Price to portion: standard Destination: no Repeat offender: only when I’m in the hood and the craving hits
Price: great prices, less expensive in the area. Food: Tried their pho tai, boc luc lac, and vegetable spring rolls. The spring rolls were the best dish. The boc luc lac was tender. The pho was lacking and missing flavor (maybe an off day as other reviews differ) and didn’t have any onions to my surprise as that’s a staple for pho in my experience. Definitely better pho options in the area. Service: was on the unfriendly side Atmosphere: loud music
my bf and I went to "pho grand" in Chinatown (manhattan). Pho was pretty bad, noodles overcooked and broth had little to no flavor. My bf's "#1" dish was suppose to be a big bowl of pho (listed even on the menu “big”) but the bowl was the same size as mine (ordered the #4) Server also gave attitude and rushed us to order literally after us sitting down a minute in. Definitely don’t want to come back here.
I witnessed a distasteful exchange between a customer and owner/manager. The owner/manager should really consider listening to customers rather than arguing with them (or even try to deescalate the situation). Have some decency for other patrons who just want to enjoy a quiet late night dinner.
I ordered chicken pho, over uber eats and added mixed vegetables to my order. Guess what, they removed the chicken I had clearly selected and added tofu instead , I guess because I asked for veggies extra. Meaning I paid for chicken aswell and only got vegetables . I also asked for salt, never arrived . I will never order here again
