Well worth the price if you’re getting fish. The fatty tuna is a must try, all rolls are fresh and the management so nice!
Delicious sushi rolls, made fresh in front of you and served at a stand up counter. Honestly the perfect lunch.
We had the tuna, salmon and avocado, and yellowtail handrolls at Daigo, and they kindly cut them into sushi for us. Everything was fresh, delicious, and served quickly—perfect for a quick bite before heading back to shopping. I loved the casual sushi counter vibes and the friendly staff!
Such a great little spot! The fish tastes SO fresh and the presentation is really simple and lovely. The service was also friendly and fast! I got the tuna and the ikura hand rolls and I can’t wait to go back
Absolutely love this place. Probably my favorite hand roll spot in the area. Unlike the other more popular, KazuNori, these rolls are actually made to support the fresh seafood rather than overpowered by the rice. Seaweed is crispy, rice is great temperature and consistency. I consistently come here for any scallop hand roll, yellowtail scallion and the toro.
Inside a busy food hall, this place still stands out. It is hard to find this quality of fish in NYC. The scallops in particular were stellar. They had the soft consistency, sweetness, and total lack of fishy flavor you expect from scallops straight out of the trap. Props to Daigo for sourcing such quality ingredients. The people working there were very kind and efficient. I thought the lunch deal (3 rolls plus miso) for $20 was good value, especially considering the quality of the experience. Thank you Daigo!
THIS SUSHI SPOT IS INCREDIBLE! I literally dream about this sushi. Everyone who works here is wonderful, and the sushi is beyond fresh! It’s a sushi lovers dream! DO NOT MISS OUT ON THIS! 🍱🍣
A lunchtime favorite ❤️ The lunch special comes with 2 or 3 hand rolls along a miso soup or bottle of water. The 2 roll option is very filling and the options were varied. I enjoyed the quick pick up time after placing my order + Dekalb market has many sittings areas.
Best pick me up on a rainy day. Their sushi is fresh, affordable and delicious! Highly recommend if you are in city point and are craving a salmon avocado roll at 6pm like me 🤣 🍣
Really high quality handrolls and seafood. The service was so fast, and it was delicious. Love that you got to stand and eat over the counter. If you don't like that you can still get the food and find a table to sit down at nearby. Highly recommend! The value was also great
Great place to try variety of Sushi. I ordered a jumbo shrimp roll and it was good. Will definitely go back.

So glad they are open until 10pm!! A lot of salmon in salmon daigo, and a lot of shrimp in shrimp daigo. Delicious!!

I dropped by for a late night snack. It was pretty good. I was reluctant since the previous reviews were subpar, but I'm glad I gave them a chance. I'd definitely come again.
This is a great go-to spot for sushi on the regular. The fish is always fresh and the price is great. The tuna koji roll is perfect. No soy sauce or wasabi needed. I order from here at least once a week.

After having a few drinks I stopped in here to have a taste of some hand rolls and for the first time having hand rolls I have to say this place didn’t disappoint, Very fresh tasting that makes you want more after every bite! I would definitely recommend this to anyone around the market.

4.18.21 - local favorite and far more filling than you would expect. The pictures are from 2021, but we recently had lunch there. Keep in mind that pricing adds up fast, so eat slow to make sure your over ordering by accident.
18 for 2 sushi rolls is a bit rich. Spicy tuna for 8 and toro for 10. Spicy tuna had ok flavour but the toro was a tad mushy and you cant enjoy the fatty belly in this format. The sushi rice was quite good. Overall decent.

Sadly I have had to downgrade this place from a 5 to a 2. The bizarre continual changes in staff has resulted in the loss of harmony for both the staff and us the loyal customers. I've held off on this downgraded review for nearly three months in hope of a positive swing. None of the rolls are prepared the same from day to day. Even when you order multiple rolls from one chef there may be a difference in the roll build and overall flavor. As one of the pricier eating destinations in Citypoint I was hoping that they would maintain the quality and flavor to justify the costs. I was visiting two to three times per week but the staff changes have become too bothersome. I shouldn't have to worry about who is preparing my food and how much experience they might have.

Someone had recommended Daigo to me but the quality of the sushi was very disappointing. The rice was too sticky, warm, too acidity, and the fish wasn’t great either.
I ordered food here on Friday and I got the salmon avocado and the crunchy shrimp. My stomach has been gassy and weird since. I don’t eat sushi and it was my first time trying it. They don’t clean the fish properly, my order was ready in less than 5 minutes(that alone says something). I don’t leave reviews but something is seriously off with the fish. Remember PARASITES still exist.

I went to Daigo with my family a few weeks ago and have been ruminating about writing a review because of how mixed my experience was. First off: the sushi was INCREDIBLE. The chefs were quick, professional, and you can tell they are working with high quality ingredients. The server who brought me my miso soup was incredibly kind, sweet, and efficient. However thats where my high marks end. As I was ordering, the man at the counter (older asain man) seemed to barely want me there. Not only did he never make eye contact or greet me kindly (not even a smile) he cut me off several times in the ordering process. He sighed loudly and it made me feel awful for being there. I dont know if the staff is overworked or if something happened that day but I never felt so unwelcomed at a restaurant. Additionally, there was a roach crawling on the menu screen when I ordered. Absolutely unacceptable. Listen, the food was great but its new york and there's good sushi anywhere. The least you can do is not have roaches and a bad attitude. Not going back for a 9 dollar roachroll.
The quality has significantly decreased in the past couple months. I had a $40 lunch here which considered of 3 rolls and a miso soup, one of the rolls came missing an ingredient with no warning, and the rice was super mushy and unseasoned. The fish in the spicy salmon roll was also not tasting fresh and was poorly cut. The miso soup was very poor quality for the $5 price. I used to really enjoy this place for lunch but left super disappointed. I did not finish one roll.

Service is nice but the sushi really isn’t good at all. I’ve been here before a while ago and wasn’t impressed. Came back for lunch to give it another try and was reminded again why I didn’t like it the first time. The rice was a terrible texture, too sticky and warm, and not well seasoned like sushi rice should be. The fish itself was ok, but overall overpriced for what you get. Leaving this review so I’m not tempted to come back. Look I eat a lot of sushi at various price levels and this really is not it.
