The place is simple but welcoming. The meat, which is plentiful, is very good, excellent quality, and cooked to perfection. The polenta cooked on the fire is the added touch.
The Christmas lunch you'll want to relive every year If you're looking for a place that's not just a noisy restaurant, but a haven of warmth, hospitality, and authentic flavors, Vista Falò Bistrò is the place that makes you say, "This is how Christmas should be." As soon as you enter, you're enveloped in a bright and intimate dining room, with large windows that open onto a breathtaking view of the Seriana Valley. It's one of those places where you immediately feel you've chosen well. Lunch is a journey down memory lane: Abundant, authentic dishes, cooked as they once were, with those intense flavors that take you back to your grandparents' house, when food was made with love and without haste. The atmosphere is quiet, relaxed, free of chaos and confusion. Few tables, only about thirty guests: the perfect atmosphere for those who want to enjoy every moment, chatting, laughing, and even singing a song together at the end of the meal. The service? Impeccable. The ladies in the dining room—always smiling and attentive—make you feel truly welcome, respected, and pampered. And then there are Dario and Marianna, the hosts: two special people, who personally pass between the tables to shake your hand, exchange a few sincere words, and wish you a happy holiday from the heart. In short, it wasn't just a meal, but a soul-warming experience. Vista Falò Bistrò is that place that makes you want to come back... even when Christmas is already over. 🎄❤️
Meat and polenta expertly prepared, the flavors of Bergamo in perfect harmony. Select ingredients, sincere cuisine, tradition is always true here. Connoisseur-quality wines and beers, and coffee? With a moka pot, what a flavor! A special place, with perfect flavor, that stays in your heart... and even in your chest!
I was here for the first time, and to confirm that it was a great place, I had to return. The appetizers were very good, but the Florentine steaks were something else. The meat was carefully selected and cooked to perfection. The entire staff was extremely kind and helpful.
We went to Vista Falò Bistró for dinner and had a truly wonderful meal. We tried a little bit of everything: a super-bountiful appetizer for two, two delicious polentas, a sliced Angus beef steak to share, all accompanied by two glasses of red wine. To finish, a mango sorbet and a delicious Montamisù. We had everything we needed and left feeling incredibly satisfied and, above all, full! A very charming place with a beautiful view of the valley where we could watch the sunset. The staff were very friendly, courteous, and helpful. Highly recommended!
A memorable day, the food exceeded all expectations, but above all, a small, welcoming atmosphere with excellent, friendly service that immediately makes you feel at ease. If we were to talk about the meat and wines... it would be a long story... my personal recommendation... go and trust their recommendations, you won't regret it.
I went with my partner for lunch. I know the owners, and that's a testament to their way of working. I found a family-like atmosphere. We had an excellent lunch, fantastic food, and we could laugh and joke around. A top Sunday! The house appetizer table was there, which we thoroughly enjoyed, followed by a truly delicious Florentine steak... cooked to perfection. We even mopped up the bread on the stone to savor it all. Then we finished with dessert, and the montamisú was apocalyptic! A mascarpone cream that's hard to beat... truly delicious, and then the coffee in the moka pot. A truly top Sunday!
Extremely kind and welcoming. In the summer, when the city is scorchingly hot, it's a great retreat to enjoy the tranquility and coolness of the hills; in the winter, it's a haven filled with wonderful aromas and a treat for the palate. Don't forget the space available for the little ones if they want to let off steam. Excellent food, great value too!
The food was amazing. The staff is super friendly and the view is also very good.
Spectacular hospitality, bordering on that which should be reserved for a member of the family. A journey through the culinary reinterpretations of a woman from Romagna and a man from Bergamo, with forays into Piedmont and Greece...they pampered us completely, we ate divinely, and the location, with that old-fashioned barbecue and the valleys in the background, was truly breathtaking. After almost three hours of eating, we arrived at the splendid coffee made in a real moka pot on the grill with tears in our eyes... tears of satisfaction and with the certainty that we will return. Highly recommended by a true Sicilian gourmet...and that says it all.
A gem in the heart of the Alta Valley, a splendid terrace overlooking the valley... breathtaking! Dario, the owner, is superb in the kitchen, assisted by a very nice lady (I think his wife), Mary is her name. A group of friends, everything very fresh and cooked to order on a stove called a volcano!, which perfectly reflects the owner. The amberjack carpaccio on a chickpea cream soup is incredible. Gragnano spaghetti with clams and grilled octopus tentacles... an explosion of flavors. But the dish that left us speechless was the "gran fritto del matto" fried fish with every delicacy... shrimp, scampi, squid and surici (Dario explained to us a fish that is caught on the Ionian Sea seabed) dry and crispy to perfection. Truly excellent, we will return without a shadow of a doubt. Good selection of wines, at controlled prices, ranging from the entire Italian peninsula, all the way to France. A meat menu is also available, for those who don't like fish.
Restaurant offering local cuisine (polenta, scarpinòcc) as well as a wide range of meat-based dishes. The place is informal, located within the sports centre. The dining area is outside, in a nice porch closed by glass panels, offering a stunning view over the surrounding mountains. Limited number of tables, making for a cosy atmosphere. The kitchen is only separated from the dining area by a glass window: it is nice to be able to see the fireplace where meat is grilled and polenta is cooked. Despite this literal transparency, though, hygiene and tidiness did not look impeccable at all times. The food I tasted was good: in line with traditional recipes and carefully made. On the negative side, I found all of the dishes too salty for my taste, especially potato dippers. Service was kind and professional, but waiting times were excessive from my point of view. Nobody was served their main course until every table had finished their first course, which in my opinion took too long. Everything is made to order, of course, and only two people work in the kitchen; but still, this negatively affects the dining experience. Prices are ok, slightly above average but justified by premium or sustainably sourced ingredients in some of the recipes.
It's not worth it! Getting there is a pain because, when you enter the address in the reservation email, the GPS takes you into a narrow passage where you can't proceed, so you have to reverse all the way, risking damaging your car. I arrive by asking a passerby, but I struggle to find the entrance because there are no signs, only to discover it's the tennis club's bar/restaurant. I mention the difficulty to the waiter, and he replies that it's not the first time this has happened... so it would be appropriate to specify the correct route and the exact location in the reservation email. The meat is good, but it arrived almost cold, and the bill is too high for a €26 tagliata (plain, without arugula or parmesan), polenta and potatoes shared with the other diners, and the cheapest wine, totaling €103 per couple. We also ordered the fig cake, but the waitress comes back to tell us that they sold it to a customer and forgot to erase it from the blackboard (had we known, we would have ordered something else). We also waited over an hour for dinner. The view was nice, but nothing spectacular, and again, it was overpriced for a bar/restaurant at a local tennis club. It was also very noisy because you eat on a veranda.
The location is definitely beautiful, but unfortunately we had a really bad experience with the service. We sat down at 8:00 PM and ate at 10:00 PM. The wait was decidedly long and unjustified (the place wasn't crowded at all). The steak I ordered was more of a roast beef. Given this background, I wouldn't recommend it at this time.
