En el corazón de Alicante, se encuentra este explendido restaurante, donde degustar muy buenos productos de mercado y dignamente elaborados. Mención especial a las croquetas, el marisco y los sepionets a la plancha sin olvidarnos del tradicional soparet alicanti, aquí le Dan una textura especial. Su terraza en plena Plaza de los Luceros, acompañan a disfrutar de una buena mesa, un mejor café y una velada extraordinaria.

Si te gustan los restaurantes no muy grandes, íntimos, familiares, con una comida excelente y un trato aún mejor, no dejes de ir. Yo he ido hoy por primera vez pero volveré no tardando mucho. Todo estaba buenísimo, no puedo destacar un plato u otro. Pero sin duda, lo mejor, es el personal. Enhorabuena, porque hacéis que uno se sienta como en casa.

El ambiente muy bonito, la comida riquísima y el servicio inmejorable. Nuestro camarero David fue muy simpático y no nos pudo aconsejar mejor. Repetiremos sin duda.

We had the most lovely and unforgettable dining experience at El Chaflán, thanks to the kind, accommodating, helpful and outstanding service as well as excellent and delicious food. In a week we visited 3 times and we were never disappointed. The kindness, positive energy and the time the restaurant staff took to talk to us made us feel extremely welcome and our visit at the restaurant unforgettable. Our favourite dishes: hands down the best ''Calamar a la Plancha'' in the whole city (compliments to the chef!), exquisite ''Patatas Bravas'' and very tasty ''Zamburiñas'' (it was our first time trying them and we were blown away). Prices are fair, because the quality of the food is high, so do not pay attention to the unreasonable complaints about prices as they shouldn't matter, if you would like to enjoy the exceptional food. My friend and I had a fantastic meal at Grupo Chaflán! We tried the paella with beef and mushrooms, and it was absolutely delicious. The rice was perfectly cooked, the beef was tender, and the rich, flavorful sauce tied everything together beautifully. You can really taste the quality and care in their cooking — a wonderful take on Spanish cuisine. The atmosphere was cozy and welcoming, making the whole experience even better. Highly recommend this place if you're looking for authentic flavors with a creative twist. Waiters were so funny and helpful🤓

When in Madrid, one prevents tourist trap restaurants with a view like the Plaza Mayor. In Alicante, however, the stunning and refreshingly calming Plaza de los Luceros serves as the visual backdrop for this fine restaurant that serves fresh local delights. The menu is creative and customers can decide how small or large certain portions will be. The cod tortilla, grilled scallops, shrimp, artichoke with cured tuna salad were incredible and different in a nation where menus can be very repetitive. Mario served us and was very kind in getting us a table without a reservation. They also knew how to bring the dishes slowly and when to change plates. Thank you Mario.

Really nice restaurant. Ambiance is amazing, food flavours were really good and special. We didn’t have a reservation, but fortunately there was a table available inside. The tuna “Alicante style” in particular was very good. Would eat here again!

Fuimos a cenar un grupo de 5 y cenamos bastante bien. La comida estaba muy rica, todo muy gourmet pero la verdad es que las raciones eran algo pequeñas. Pedimos lomo, vieiras, la coca que era algo distinto a lo esperado y varios postres. Destacar que los postres estaban muy ricos. El local era muy pequeño pero es bastante mono, recomendable para parejas pero no para grupos grandes, nosotros estuvimos bastante apretados (al menos en el interior, la terraza es grande). Repetiría.

Ubicación excepcional en el centro de Alicante. Restaurante de tapas gourmet acogedor y no muy amplio. Atención de sus trabajadores cercana y amable. Comida deliciosa y variada.

The location is awesome! And in the sun it's very nice to sit outside. The chicken salad was amazing but the tuna was not great. It seemed a bit stale and had a smell to it. I would be careful again ordering fish.

The food is tasty and it's been very busy both times so it clearly has a good reputation. The location was convenient and fairly central and it has lots of outside seating, but it's next to a large road and a roundabout so was a bit noisy in the day time. The first time we arrived the waiter who served us was lovely but there was a really grumpy guy working there today. Also, as is typical in Spain, they put ham and seafood in some dishes which appear to be vegetarian on the menu i.e aubergine pudding.. probably obvious to Spanish people but not to tourists and there was no description to warn us that it would contain prawns and ham! The potatoes and hot relish, and the spinach croquettes are fantastic though!

El otro día fuimos un grupo a cenar. La verdad que todo riquísimo, las croquetas de gamba y mejillones estaban brutales las recomiendo mucho y la ensalada de tomate con capella y coca de mollitas estaba muy rica también. Lo único que nos decepcionó fueron los nachos, eran Doritos con 5 gambas y el guacamole abajo, y bastante caros,valían 20€. Imagino que serían por las gambas pero a mi parecer no pegaban nada ahí y tampoco eran nada del otro mundo.

The table wasn't ready when we arrived so we had to awkwardly stand in the walking path for a few minutes. Not a big deal but it wasn't a warm welcome. The waiters were a bit rushed but friendly enough. We ordered arroz banda which was way too salty for our taste. All the other dishes we saw come out for other tables looked amazing so we regretted the order.

Food tastes okay but lacking a wow factor, and a bit over priced. The service I have received was just like the weather that day, a bit rainy and the waiter was trying hard to sell, I ordered a main dish only and he was so disappointed, tried to add a starter however that didn’t seem to have improved the quality of service. *Sigh*

We wanted to take a little break from the heat. Once the waiter knew that we are not Spanish, he was pretty unfriendly. He told us that we can’t have no food because the kitchen is closed. We asked if dessert is available but he ignored us. People that came at the same moment or after us got dessert…… the sangria was nice though. Won’t come back. After the man waiter left, a woman brought us the check - she was nice!

La ensaladilla estaba pasada y eso que teníamos muy buen recuerdo, no se podía comer. Luego nos han ofrecido un vino fuera de carta muy caro. La pena es que la última experimentación era muy positiva y nada más llegar nos dijeron que no podíamos sentarnos en terraza por ser viernes y se iba a llenar. En definitiva no volveremos, por la mala calidad de la comida y el trato. Suerte !

El peor sitio donde he ido. 8 euros 8 trocitos de patata brava. Te clavan por mal servicio, practicamente inexistente no se aun como es el camarero. ESO no son bravas. Es una estafa. No se parece ni en las fotos. Y no, no esta acorde el precio al valor del mercado no mientas más. Vergüenza os tendría que dar.

Came here for the special competition tapa that they have entered into the Alicante Gastronomy competition. It took two attempts to get the staff to agree that the tapa was available but we would have to wait 15 mins. Well nearly 30 mins later we still haven't received the food and the staff just don't seem to know what they are doing. A huge disappointment. After 35 mins we received the tapas. Was it good? Not really. The food had little flavour, the pear was set in a red jelly and the flavour was lost. Looks good but it was style over substance. Overall a very poor experience.

It has been a while since I met such a rude server as I did here. He shouldn't be working in this industry. First of all he served all around people that came after me, but I was on vacation and this was not a problem. Once he finally arrived his face expression was lik "did you really had to come here?". I got a coffee and a croissant that he "threw" on the table without a single word. Food: I didn't try their food

*A complete disaster – avoid at all costs* We came to this restaurant expecting to enjoy a good paella, only to experience one of the worst restaurant visits we've ever had. After placing our order and receiving our drinks and starters, a different waiter—abrupt and visibly annoyed—came to our table and told us they *couldn't make the paella* because they had *no rice*. Yes, no rice — in a place that *specializes* in paella. There was no apology, no alternative suggestion, just a rude “you can leave or order something else if you want.” The tone was unwelcoming and dismissive, as if *we* were the problem. Frankly, if a paella restaurant runs out of rice and treats its guests like an inconvenience, it doesn’t deserve to have customers at all. Avoid this place. There are plenty of far better spots in town.

I had a very disappointing experience at this restaurant. Despite offering to make a purchase or even pay to use the restroom, the staff refused to let me use their facilities. This lack of basic courtesy and customer service is unacceptable. I won’t be returning and certainly wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.

if i could put less stars I would. We payed crazy money for no food that took long to arrive and wasnt special!! Save the energy and go to KFC 🤭 And yes miss I do give out five stars to places because they have good service and tasty food! You should learn from these places instead of demeaning them. But as we can see in your response; rude staff on top of mediocre food.. We hope you learn from your feedback instead of some angry message.
