We love coming to Torikizoku, the staff is amazing and the food is even better. Im not a very adventurous eater but I have fallen in love with Torikizoku. I probably come once a month and might even come more often now that you can do a reservation.

Both main dishes are absolutely delicious!! Servers are nice. Definitely recommend reservation. Prices are affordable for the quality. Be patient as everything is being made as you order

We tried Torikizoku for the first time! There was a long line, so I recommend getting in line at least 20 minutes before they open if you want to dine in at 5 PM. We tried a variety of Kushiyaki, and we especially loved the Kizoku Yaki and Tsukune! What I really want to highlight is their Yuzu Ramen—it’s absolutely delicious! On top of that, the service was amazing. We’ll definitely be coming back!

This yakitori restaurant really hits the spot, and the pricepoint is satisfying too :) Yakitori, grilled chicken, is one of my personal favourite Japanese cuisine. It's exciting to see it be treated more gourmet here (similar to Zoku, a sister restaurant). The menu is divided into $4 and $8 dishes and drinks. You can plan your meal and pricepoint accordingly, and always add on as you go. The food is never heavy but is filling. I recommend the chicken yakitori (any of them), and especially the grilled rice ball, the Yaki Onigiri. It's warm, just a splash of the yaki sauce, and a light crunch. It's going to become a staple food of mine 😋 I doubt there is anything merely average on the menu. We saw some fun cocktails being served, and I opted for the massive cream melon soda. It was an excellent choice and brought me a lot of joy :)

So so good First time trying and was not disappointed Everything was excellent Service was beyond amazing too Everything was bought out spaced apart so not everything was crowding us but we were not waiting long periods in between. Loved that

I’ve seen chicken grilled to super dry and another layer of sauce added in most of the Yakitori restaurants. Torikizoku, instead, is friendly for ppl who like the meat cooked in a flavorful yet juicy way. Shrimp also recommended! 5 out of 5. Wait time can be a bit long but it’s near del amo mall so that’s not a problem to kill the waiting time.

Wonderful experience! The staff was very friendly, helpful, and flexible regarding me only coming for dessert. I highly recommend the jancuri (jumbo melon soda float)!

This place was easy to get a reservation. The staff was nice and atmosphere was like that of your typical Japanese yakitori resruantat. The food was overall pretty good. The skewers were very good. My favorite was the scallop and Harami beef. The yuzu shio ramen, cucumber salad and karaage were ok.

Really clean and sleek presentation. The staff was very attentive. That being said I thought the food was competent but not memorable. The kushiyaki was not cooked on charcoal which might have lessened the flavor (?). I actually liked the aji fry the best. The menu was also pretty simple, $4 and $8 dollar dishes. Will go back again but was hoping for more

Japanese chain of yakitori. Came here with a couple of coworkers on a Wednesday evening with no reservation. I read the reviews about there being a line but I think since one of them arrived at 5pm, he was able to snag a table without a long wait. The restaurant is relaxing and chill, which was dangerous for my wallet but good for the ambiance. I especially liked the ramen (it’s meant more for one person but you can share) and the Karaage (it was perfectly crispy with a lot of salad on the side). The ice cream soda was also humongous and oh so tasty - even when splitting among three people, it was a lot. The tofu avocado was also a nice cold dish for an app. Overall, highly suggest dining here for a fun experience with made to order food.

Expect to wait about an hour since this place is both popular and relatively small. The food was served most all at once, which wasn’t ideal for yakitori—some skewers became cold when I ate them, and the fatty chicken became too oily if it’s cold. Also, perhaps due to the long wait times, the atmosphere felt rushed, as if they wanted customers to leave quickly.

Stopped by for some yakitori and it was a decent spot. The yakitori here is good but I think the chicken yuzu ramen is a must try here.

Went right before they closed at around 9pm and got seated promptly. Their last call is at 9:20pm. Ordered the yuzu shio ramen, onigiri, Tori Q, scallop, beef, chicken breast with wasabi, chicken thigh, tsukune. They said the ramen is their most popular item which is kinda sad considering it's a yakitori restaurant. It was just ok. 1 of my scallops had sand in it. Don't get the chicken breast because it tastes and looks like blanched chicken. Everything else was just OK. A little bland and lacking the flavor you'd expect. Granted they don't use charcoal for their grilling... Won't be coming back.

The menu is very limited. The food was good but not memorable enough for a repeat visit. The karaage was moist and delicious but pricey at $8 for 4 nuggets. The overall price was not inexpensive. Minus the wine it came to $56 for the two of us. Plus tax and tip. We had the karaage appetizer, two Soboro dons, and 6 skewers. That’s it. Glad we didn’t have to wait for a seat. Guess the hype is dying down

After a long wait, the restaurant felt very cozy. However, there was an issue with the waiting numbers on the online system—it kept switching between 3rd, 2nd, and 4th place. I'm not sure if it was a machine error or something else. We ended up trying a variety of appetizers and skewers, along with some drinks. Unfortunately, the cream sodas were sold out at the time. One of my favorite drinks was the hot tea, along with the iced green tea. The wait for the food was relatively short, but the portion sizes were a bit surprising. The presentation was nice, and the food arrived hot, though for around $8 per dish, I expected slightly larger portions. The takoyomi was good—more filling than octopus. The main highlight, however, was the skewers. They arrived together, cooked well, with a nice smoky charred flavor and a clean taste. Overall, I think this place is best for skewers, which they excel at. However, considering the wait time, it might be better suited for a casual visit with friends over drinks rather than a full meal.

maybe I expectation was too high, but after didn’t eaten a thing whole day and a good work-out AND super craving for yakitori, this place does let me down hard. The menu is a joke, it looks like the “menu” my friend will be prepare in a house party, this is not the menu anyone will want to see in a yakitori restaurant especially in LA for sake. The choose is so so so limited, and so mediocre. I was really hungry so I decided to try it anyway, maybe the taste is beyond. But the taste is also mid. They don’t have kawa in their yakitori section, so I ordered the ponzu kawa which is not good. It even has a lot of hair on the kawa and I’m not taking about small hair, like big thick one. And it’s literally just ponzu and fried chicken skin, like ponzu you can get in any Japanese supermarket, and that’s it. The yakitori is also really really mid, everything it’s just not good. And this is when I’m super hungry but still I don’t like the food. I am just glad this time we don’t have to wait, bc the last time we were here that was a 1 hr waiting time I’m just so so glad we didn’t wait for it that time…there’s like so many good yakitori restaurants in LA and this one I’ll definitely not recommend. We left immediately and go to another yakitori place after we finished a really small amount of food we ordered.

Service and atmosphere meet expectations. Don’t confuse this place with Torikizoku in Japan, which operates more like a fast-food chain. This U.S. location, though apparently owned by the same company, feels more like a cozy sit-down restaurant. Unfortunately, the food quality is disappointing for a yakitori place. The Tako Wasabi tastes quite fishy and sticky. Nearly all dishes are overly salty. The karaage resembles the Korean version rather than the Japanese one, and it’s not juicy at all. The skewers are somewhat overpriced—and more importantly, every skewer I ordered (from their already limited selection) lacked proper preparation, resulting in an unpleasant bloody or meaty odor from the chicken and seafood. Nearly all chicken skewers are coated with sauce, but the sauce itself is merely salty and lacks real flavor. Honestly, I hope they figure out how to make better yakitori. Even if they just made things more like Torikizoku in Japan, this place would be a lot better.

I used to love this restaurant so much that I had previously given it a 5-star rating. I’ve been here multiple times and even thought about bringing my family. But after today’s experience, I’ve changed my rating to 1 star—and I don’t see myself coming back. We ordered around 15 items from the menu, including appetizers, small plates, and skewers. The menu was placed near the edge of the table, and a server, seemingly annoyed, moved it toward the wall. About five seconds later, the menu tipped over and knocked over a glass of beer. What shocked me wasn’t just the accident—it was how the server handled it. They saw everything, did nothing at first, and only came back later with a few napkins. There was no apology, no offer to replace the drink, and no acknowledgment of the inconvenience. We ended up spending around $150, and despite the poor service, felt pressured to leave a tip. Honestly, it felt like a complete waste of money. After that, even the food didn’t taste good anymore. We left four of the skewers untouched, which never would’ve happened before. It’s incredibly disappointing to see such a sharp decline in service from a place I once really enjoyed.

I've you've been to a Torikizoku in Japan, these prices should make you sick. Literally the whole reason Toriki is good in Japan is because everything on the menu is one price (370 yen, about $2.50). Can't imagine the quality or service is 2-3x better to justify the price hikes.
