Joe Taco is a top tier place for Mexican food that way above fast food corporate "Mexican" food restaurants. My wife and I have been enjoying Joe Taco on Wallace since they opened in 2007. On our most recent visit she supped on the Stuffed Avocado with pulled pork and I had their epicurian delight Chili Relleno stuffed with pulled brisket batter dipped and smothered in queso blanco (best Chili Relleno I have ever had). We shared Guacamole dip, chips and salsa. The frijoles resfritos and Mexican Rice were excellent. Our waitress, Charlie, was an Angel, courteous, affable, and gracious. The prices are very reasonable for the high quality food. The atmosphere is relaxed and dinner conversation was had at a soft voice level.

Excellent food, flavor, service, atmosphere, and portions. They got us lots of chips and salsa. The salsa wasn't spicy, they kept bringing the chips and salsa and it was a lot of salsa too. The food itself tasted good and was fairly priced. The service is above and beyond. Elysa was really helpful in giving us the history of where the name Joe comes to the chain, and recommendations for other restaurants too.

It was my first time coming here. The service and the food were amazing! I highly recommend the heaven burrito and the deep fried jalapeños! They are spicy but sooo good! Chips and salsa were also on point! If you want great food and fast and friendly service you should come here!

We went for supper. Not too busy seated right away. Margarita was very good . Appetizer guacamole was very large. I had the fajita enchiladas they were fantastic. I love my onions cooked all the way thru and the chicken was very good. Lots of cheese. My wife had the street tacos with Brisket. She said they were very good as well. Was so full I did not try the beans or rice. Plenty to take home. We will be back.

Ate here on a weeknight when passing through and it was very good. The chips taste great and have the perfect amount of crunch. The white queso was also very good, although it was a tad on the cooler side when served and firmed up somewhat quickly. I got the burrito with fajita chicken and extra rice and it was great. My wife loved her brisket quesadilla. The food was brought out extremely quickly after ordering as well. Would definitely recommend.

Wow! Driving through, needed a good dinner and my wife found this place. We were concerned when the parking lot had no more available parking. We walked in and were greeted and seated immediately. The service by Ben was excellent, the menu selection was excellent, the salsa was fantastic followed by the queso was some of the best I've tasted. Then the main attraction for me personally was the Big A Burrito which I was unable to finish but really tried because it was so good, lol! I will definitely be back, and recommend anyone driving through Amarillo Texas to stop and eat.

The food was good, the service was great and it had good atmosphere. We took my daughter and it was good for her and she is 7. I had the cheech and chimichanga with beef and queso. I will go back!

Always fast service with a smile. The food is tex-mex. Each dish I have ordered has been good. The rice is dry though. Not one time, but all the time. Service is kind and on time. We enjoy having Henesis, so we look for her when we go to see if she's working. She handles large parties well and is attentive to requests. Other staff are good too. We love the smothered enchiladas, stuffed avocado & the birria tacos. It is good food for the price. The drinks have all been mixed well each time we have ordered a mixed drink. The location is a bit hidden and it lacks parking. The restrooms were clean.

Ive had worse food in other locations. Typical Tex-mex stuff. Too much cheese, choking hazard levels. The guacamole was ice cold. The queso cheese tasted like melted string cheese. The server got our order wrong. Then, they brought out my food about fifteen minutes before they brought out my wife's food. We didn't eat together. It was strange. The waitress tried to give us the wrong bill. Compared to other restaurants, this one is a big fail. Id pass. The locals are weird too. Strange vibes, and i'm a conservative republican. The folks at the table next to me were the most narcissistic self centered people that I've ever heard speak in public. A lady talking about being a registered nurse. She was trying to make it sound as if she was super nurse. There are about a million nurses in America. My partner is a nurse practitioner. An actual special nurse with a masters degree. She doesn't talk about how great she is constantly. We kind of snickered & laughed at these people and marveled at their stupidity. I'm glad that we are not like them. I'd rather listen to somebody else than talk about myself constantly. Bizarre.

We had lunch here on September 8, 2025, and it was a bit disappointing. I had tortilla soup, and it was yummy as usual, but smaller than they serve at their Canyon location. No big deal, the soup was just as good. My wife had Chili Verde, and it looked dry. She said the meat wasn't very tender, and it was dry. The tortillas weren't as fluffy as those at the Canyon location. But Audie's service was fantastic!

Food had no flavor, extremely bland. The bartender was our waiter which she seemed more concerned about what was happening at the bar vs taking our order and explaining the menu. She even aggressively grabbed our chips and salsa mid-bite to refill it without telling or asking us what she was doing. Margarita was very sweet with little alcohol. This just wasn’t a pleasant experience or taste for Cinco de Mayo.
