GREAT food. Probably the best chicken sandwich in Amarillo. We keep coming back for more. Have had a couple different burgers and they have tons of flavor and the fries are excellent. The chicken and waffles were pretty good and they have a good selection of beer. Their own Make Good Choices IPA was refreshing! Highly recommend visiting here!
Excellent service! I've been several times and they've always treated me very well. Everything is very clean, the food is piping hot as it should be, it's one of my favorite restaurants and one I highly recommend. Each time I've visited, I've been served by a very polite and friendly young woman. I think her name is KAIT , a wonderful person, very attentive and always smiling. A 10 out of 10!
We had an amazing first visit today! The food was great and our server, Richi, was hands down the best we’ve had in a long time! He made sure our experience was a great one and this place is lucky to have him. We’ll definitely be back! Looking forward to warmer weather to try out the amazing patios. Great atmosphere with some cool history!
I’ve eaten dinner here a few times now and every time the service has been great, the food is good, and the atmosphere is fantastic. I recommend going on a day they have live music on the patio stage (although you may want to wait until spring).
Delicious Burger and the seasonal roasted vegetables were out of this world. Our server was very attentive but the upstairs indoor seating has lots of drafts so bring a jacket of you don't like the chill of a cool fall evening.
Driving through, stopped here for the night and ventured out to this strip and this was o e of the few places still open but it was pretty dead as they were getting ready to close. I still enjoyed my beer and my peace and quiet. It’s a big beautiful space so I imagine it can get quite noisy when full. Staff was great. Allowed me to sample a few of their other beers before settling on the Mexican lager. Enjoyed my quiet time! It also happened to be $2 beers on Tuesday so extra bonus!
Listen, this place is ALWAYS incredible. The people, the atmosphere, the trivia, the live music (at times), and THE FOOD! Not even to mention the home brewed craft beers. It's just such a gem in Amarillo, TX. I had been craving the Nashville Angry Bird chicken sandwich for a few days, and it was everything I'd dreamt of. The picture doesn't do it justice, but it's fantastic. So good. Visit this place, y'all. The brunch menu is s-tier. Just top shelf everything. UPDATE! Still so awesome. Still so dang good. And even better with an updated lunch special menu. I eat lunch almost everyday, and at these prices, it's tempting to eat HERE every single day. Love this place. Great service to go along with the great food.
The food was absolutely delicious, and our server Lucas was super friendly and attentive! I had the arancini, which Lucas recommended and he was totally right that they are tasty. They were super crispy, and the flavors came together beautifully. I had the pulled pork sliders which were amazing flavor-wise, really juicy and it all held together well. The fries were crispy and hot, and seasoned perfectly. My friend had a cheese pizza, which had an amazing crust and the sauce was really delicious. The atmosphere is great, I’ll definitely be coming back!
I always love a downtown brewery. Of the more than 500 I have been to, from suburban to rural to inner-city, it is the ones in the Central Business District that I love the most, primarily because that is the heart and soul of any city. Six Car Pub & Brewery opened in May 2018, which seems like an eternity ago now, especially with a pandemic sandwiched in the last six years. They have endured their own struggles, but like a Phoenix rising from the ashes, they are rocking it these days. They’ve got the brewing aspect dialed in, and the menu has been tweaked such that it pleases the Amarillo palate. I found myself there recently before a baseball game, and ordered the Impossible Burger with most of the usual condimentary suspects between the buns. I have had many a veggie burger, but this one was prepared exceedingly well. I still remember my carnivorous years, and I’d put this one aside any beef burger. To wash down the burger and fries, I chose first an old favorite, Make Good Choices, an IPA, and then a Chill Sunset, a Juicy IPA. Both are very approachable IPAs clocking in at 6.5% ABV, just the right amount before it becomes alcohol-forward. Six Car offered seven house beers when I visited, along with a couple of macros and perhaps a half-dozen guest taps. The ambience of Six Car is hard to beat, especially with its second floor dining space and elevated patio. There’s also a huge biergarten where leashed dogs are welcome. My, how the trees have grown in the six years since they opened! It is delightful out there. As an aside, weekends finds Six Car offering their brunch menu, which is amazing. Been there, and done that, and will definitely do it again. This is a treasure for Amarillo, and for all the Route 66 visitors who come through town each year, only a few hundred feet off the Mother Road. You know what to do.
I came straight here after a 10-hour driving day, and it was the perfect place to let down, have a brew, and eat a good quick meal. I arrived before the after-work crowd on Wednesday afternoon and, lucky me! All their home brew pints were $3! I thoroughly enjoyed my Six Car Hazy IPA (Amarillo Sunset), the Chicken Ranch Bacon pizza (a touch overdone, but still tasty), and side Strawberry Feta Salad. The servers were prompt, friendly, attentive, and helpful. If I lived in Amarillo, I would be a regular!
We were staying at the Barfield Hotel, and so when we asked a local where a good place to eat was...they simply turned and pointed across the street and said, "right there y'all". So we all turned and "moseyed" right across that brick street. So glad we did, cus this place is legit. First off, it's a brewery, and lots of great local choices of brew to choose from. Loved the interior design. An industrial vibe with very high ceilings, lots of windows, small but cool bar, an upstairs area, cool tunes floating down from above, and plenty of patio tables too. Our server was quite friendly, very attentive and smiled often! Check out that menu...yeah, I thought so. Damn good looking right? All 4 of us loved our food choices, along with the beers and pita chips with hummus dip. Real nice place with very tasty food. We enjoyed ourselves here.
Our friends recommend this place for brunch so we came on a Saturday, the hostess was nice but seems like this is her first hosting job. Cause she told us to wait for a second then walked off with out telling us to follow her so we just stood there for a second until another worker that was there at the front told us to follow the hostess. Our waitress was nice and attentive I started with an Irish coffee and my husband got an iced coffee Long Island I think that’s what it was called. We got the Brussels sprouts as a appetizer and it was very delicious we didn’t wait for our appetizer for long it came out within 10min that we order it, then we ordered our food I got the chicken and waffles and my husband got Nashville chicken biscuit. Everything was delicious our waitress was attentive and nice. A couple of things we came on a Saturday, so we parked kind of next door in the parking lot of the bank cause it’s free on the weekends. I am only giving 2 stars on atmosphere because the name sates “pub & brewery” so why was there so many kids in there ? This was my first time here and I don’t think I will be back, i thought this was a place to get drinks and food chill out with friends but this place seems more family oriented. Edit: my response to the owners, like I mentioned at the beginning of my review we came for BRUNCH it was about 11am and how your reply says the “rooftop bar” is open at 4pm so even if the “rooftop bar” is more “my vibe” I wouldn’t have had that option when we came. I made the comment about it being more family oriented because I saw a lot of kids and a couple of strollers in the dining room, i don’t know about other people but me myself when I get tipsy/drunk I cuss like a sailor I don’t want to be worried about other peoples kids hearing me cuss out loud. Thanks for the reply but that solidifies me not coming back at all to this place.
Food was really good. We sat upstairs on the outside Patio. Great views. The service was slow starting out. Probably took 10 minutes just for someone to take our drink order. We held out and waited. Food was good. Tried the onion rings for appetizers then a couple different kinds of pizza.
The beer was 5/5 here. This was some of the best beer ever, great craft beer very tasty, how every, the food was very salty and not very good. The service was the worst I’ve ever had. The waitresses were more focused on socializing with other waitresses than taken care of customers. Very poor service. But great beer.
Used to be a great place but Im sure its hard to find good help nowadays. It took about an hour to receive our food after waiting about 30 minutes to order. The kids menu does not state they do not have some of the food available for brunch. Just note that when you wait 30 minutes to order then have to have kids re consider what they want and wait again to order. Also since I was last here they no longer have the dog park, however they are still pet friendly. These are the facts but food was good. Probably not going back though.
