Very good seafood, the garlic shrimp is so delectable. I also ordered the charbroiled oysters, they were huge and the sauce that goes with them is bomb. I enjoyed everything that I ate here. I will definitely be back. They can get busy so do order ahead.

Food was piping hot. Of course, shrimp is expensive, so there was only 2 shrimp on the plate. However, even without a sauce, the rice was delicious. The serving was ample. I enjoyed the medley of veggies, and the meats were well seasoned. I'd definitely visit there again.

A&J's is absolutely killin' it!!! The flavors they offer are spectacular. Garlic shrimp have a lot of garlic and the sauce is also sweet. Add some spice to taste and it provides balanced flavors. EggRolls are crunchy but not burnt which is nice. Even fry to them yet not greasy. The beef was paaaacked with flavor and super tender. Highly Recommend!

Great seafood restaurant in the corner of Anaheim and Obispo. The parking here is VERY limited and small, so I suggest for you to park by Food 4 Less across the street. Seating is also limited and it is outside. Ordered a Salt & Pepper Shrimp and Crispy Salmon plates. The S&P Shrimp was great. Evenly battered and seasoned well. Shrimp was cooked well, too. I don't eat shrimp tails but they also batter theirs and it comes out soooo crispy and good. I gobbled it all up! It came with pickled cabbage and carrots and some jalapenos on the side. The crispy salmon was also amazing. It is lightly battered but seasoned well. The salmon skin is sooo good and crispy. The salmon was flaky. It came with a mango salsa which could be their take on a papaya salad cuz this one is a bit spicy but refreshing. This also came with a fermented fish sauce on the side which enhanced the flavor of the salmon giving it that funky salty and sour punch. Lastly the chicken egg roll is a bit basic. I could barely taste the chicken nor feel its texture. At least it's crispy and hot! It came with a basic sweet chili sauce. Save your money from this. The rice they use is kinda like sushi or sticky rice. It's very soft and sticky but I didn't mind it. Would come back to try other offerings.

The food is delicious. The portions are generous. The FLAVOR POPS! I have never been disappointed. No matter what you order, it's so tasty and so much of it.

First time here and very impressed. The food was amazing! Everything we tried was very tasty, full flavor and so fresh. Will definitely coming back soon.

I really enjoyed the Cajun bag. The flavor of the sauce was outstanding and it smelled so good. The amount of food and the quality of food is a great value for the price. I highly recommend coming here for good seafood. This restaurant is a Long Beach gem.

Small Shack pumping out big flavorful meals! Ordered the garlic shrimp and it was delicious! I've been to giovanni's in north shore and it's just as good. Thanks again for a great meal, I need to come back and try everything else on the menu.

I’ve had just about everything on the menu. The food is delicious but can be a bit too savory, especially for someone who needs to watch their sodium intake. So I can’t eat there all the time. My go to pick will have to be the fried squid, lobster and salmon.

The crispy salmon was flavorful with good portions, and not fishy at all. The beef stick sandwich was incredible, filling, and good crispy bread. Trees and general decorations were super cute given the limited size and location. The lady was very nice too.

A&J is an eatery, I always wanted to try. This was my 2nd visit and it didn't disappoint. The Grilled Beef sticks and Chicken Egg rolls was tasty 'asty! Every order is freshly cooked. This time around, I was looking forward to the Khmer sausage but they're sold out! Duma Ah Qua Ko! Haha

Pulled up there was parking which seemed like I got lucky was able to back up right into the bench where we eat our entire lobster, and grilled oysters. The Oysters were large and we added their sauce which was a great combination. The lobster was fresh and packed with meat swimming in their garlic sauce accompanied by shrimp, garlic and jalapeños adding flavor with outta heat! We live close by and our plan was to take it all home but decided to enjoy our catch on their high bench and tables under the trees and umbrellas with a cool breeze. Great experience all around.

This is a can’t miss spot! We’ve been wanting to come back ever since trying one of their rice plates, but were instructed to not sleep on their sandwiches - they were not wrong! My partner ordered the Beef Sandwich, and I had to try their Short Rib plate. Within minutes our plates were clean! Both meats were tender and flavorful. (We also got their fries, that were made fresh & crispy) 1000/10!! If you plan on eating there, parking is a bit rough. However, they do have high top seating + umbrellas if the weather is nice. Service is friendly and efficient. We’ll for sure be back with our family! This is a small spot that packs a powerful bite. p.s. The Thai Tea there pairs well with the entire meal

I am so tempted to do a bad review of this place just to keep people from overwhelming this place because of the awesome food at this place. It’s a shellfish agenda I know, so I can’t do it. This place is awesome, the food is delicious and the portion is generous, I had the whole fried squid and the grilled oyster, very tasty, the squid was nicely breaded and tender. My girl had the braised pork rice, also very good. The place has a small parking lot, it wasn’t full when we went, but soon filled up with cars. But overall, def give this place a go.

Every time when I drive by Long Beach I wanna order food here. Oysters and shrimp rice are great. Not exactly sure if it is Cambodian inspired food, but the these food reminds me of the food I had back in Cambodia. When I stayed in Cambodia for a month, I never had one meal that was not good tasting. These food are just like that.

Oh. My. God. This place is next level tasty. Everything made to order, tender, juicy and crispy to perfection. Photo shows “small” whole squid with my hand for reference. $13 is an amazing deal. Flavors are perfectly balanced and breading comes straight from heaven. Beef skewer sandwich was also perfect- fresh bread, melt-in-your-mouth lemongrass beef, all perfectly balanced with the more acidic papaya and pickles. I will return here any time I’m in the LBC 🙌

All I can say is WOW! Perfectly cooked garlic and salt & pep scrimps. Hidden gem located in a small strip mall parking lot. Don’t let the exterior fool you, this place has great seafood for a relatively inexpensive price tag. The sauce they put on their garlic shrimp leaves a lasting impression on your taste buds! 10/10 would recommend. Can’t wait to come back and try the lobster everyone was eating.

Very good Cambodian food! I’m very impressed and will be returning when I am in town again. My favorite is the house lobster and my husband loved the beef stick sandwich w/ pickled Papaya and carrots.

When I arrived there was quite a few customers there thats always a good sign. I ordered the Seafood Chowder which was full of Seafood and flavor it also came with cheese and rice I also ordered chicken egg they were crispy and perfectly prepared Very satisfied customer

This is your typical hole in the wall place with great food and the ambiance is... outside in a parking lot. It has seating but would should not be judged by that. Their food is outstanding. My husband had the beef stick dinner and I had the salt and pepper shrimp. Both dinners came with lots of rice and some pickled veggies. My husband loved the beef sticks. Food is great, atmosphere not so, but I'm here for the food!!

shack in the name is appropriate. it's a small, corner stand with only a little space inside for a chef and someone to take orders. but the food is really, really good. so good that my friends and I went there 2 days in a row. we enjoyed the fried whole Squid, short ribs, spring rolls, and several other dishes. you gotta try it!!

My quick lunch at A&J Seafood Shack in central Long Beach, California was delicious. The salt and pepper shrimp and pickled vegetables was the right combination to satisfy my seafood craving. The shop is located on the corner of Anaheim Street and Obispo Avenue at 3201 E. Anaheim St, Long Beach, CA 90804. No indoor dining/restroom available but the outdoor/umbrella seating area is perfect for this corner shop. Limited parking with walk-up window. Will be back to try other items on the menu. Ordered the SALT & PEPPER SHRIMP I $13 Crispy. Juicy. Salty. Savory. The lightly battered shrimp is fried then tossed in a blend of secret spices, jalapenos, shallots & fried garlic. Served with steamed rice.

Great food. Dining in a parking lot mostly OK. Except for the smoke shop with the very loud dystopian music. Probably best for take out. It is a bit pricey.

Crab 🦀 boil was tasty. Oysters are 3 for $10, you gotta season them yourself (so ask for butter or bring Ol' Bay w/ you). Chicken wings are decent, crispy and seasoned. I had the Thai Tea 🧋and a can of soda will cost you $2.🥤 Don't expect indoor seating, but since Long Beach has great weather year round you'll be fine eating at the outdoor lunch benches. Thankfully, they give you enough napkins. 🤧 Enjoy!

I had stir fried noodles which only has two shrimps, some pork and vegetables. The taste is very similar to Panda Express. Kind of disappointed. I also don’t like the environment.

I recently ordered a plate of the Khmer sausage and found them a bit on the dry side. That being said, the flavor was good and the accompanying fish sauce made the dish much better. True to its name, this is a shack on a corner and very informal in vibes. But it is great for a quick grab and go meal.

The food is decent, however, it’s on the sweeter side. We got the seafood boil, both spicy and mild, and it was more sweet than spicy. If it would have been less sweeter then it would have been perfect because the shrimp, muscles, and potatoes were cooked perfectly.

Went there for the first time today and the food was not bad and not that good either. I ordered the shrimp fried rice and only got 2 shrimp. Also I ordered the salmon dinner and it was fried hard and the rice was to sticky. I want be going back. A shame for the first time visiting this place.

I called them to let them know and they said oh it's already too late we can't do anything about it. The lady on the phone got really nasty when I asked her if she could help me out
