I’m so glad Dimassi’s opened a location in Irvine! The food overall is delicious and very similar to the branches I’ve been to in Texas—fresh, flavorful, and with a great variety of Mediterranean dishes. The staff are friendly and helpful, and the restroom was impressively clean. One thing to note: unlike the Texas locations, this branch doesn’t offer tea or ice cream, which I missed. Also, the quality and taste of the chicken kebab could be improved. Still, it’s a great spot for a satisfying and healthy buffet-style meal.
We really enjoyed this Mediterranean buffet. They have great options of hot dishes and fresh salads. The hummus is absolutely delicious! We also loved the lamb shank, tasty kebabs, and many other dishes. There are several kinds of rice, chicken, and fish to choose from. Thank you for the wonderful experience!
Food is really great at this restaurant! Healthy and delicious!😋 There’s also lots of seating with a nice marble-based interior. The only downside is that it was a bit too loud during my second visit today. Not sure if it’s usually this loud on Sundays at 4pm, but it was mainly the kids who were loud lol
I came here for dinner and I was really impressed! The atmosphere is welcoming, the food is fresh and delicious, and the price is very reasonable for the quality and variety they offer. Everything was also very clean, which I really appreciated. I highly recommend this place to everyone at least give it a try, you won’t be disappointed!
I had a great experience at this Mediterranean buffet! The selection was really good, especially the salads, they were fresh, crispy, and had just the right amount of dressing. The grilled chicken was really tender and juicy, and the kabob chicken was cooked perfectly with all the right spices. The seasoned rice was also really tasty, full of flavor. There was so many different options, and everything I tried was delicious. The staff was super friendly, and the atmosphere was nice. I will definitely be coming back to try more of the food again!
This is the second time I’ve been here. The last time for dinner and this time for lunch. Definitely not disappointed! Dinner is about $28 on lunch is around $22 but it’s all the same stuff. The place is huge and very clean. The food varieties are amazing with like four different types of hummus and all different types of meat and salads, and even desserts. If you’re looking for a Mediterranean buffet, this is it! Brought my whole family and everyone found stuff they loved.
Remodeled with allot of rooms for private events, buffet layout is good. Beets were great, most items very good but some others a little dry. Soup was good, desserts ok. Bread not warm, would be nice if someone would go around and pass out hot bread, and meet and greet the guests, normally Mediterranean people are very hospitable, I would expect that but did not receive that. Overall price is ok we had weekday lunch, do not know what changes for weekend with higher price.
1. Wide Variety of Food & Flavors Many customers praise the large selection — both hot and cold dishes, including vegetarian and meat options. Dishes like falafel, hummus, chickpeas, salads, pita bread, and pickled vegetables are often highlighted as authentic and tasty. 2. Good Value for Money Considering it’s an all-you-can-eat buffet, most reviewers think the price is reasonable. Some mention that even just a couple of the meat dishes alone make the buffet worth the price. 3. Freshness & Frequent Refills Guests note that food is generally fresh, even later in the day. At some locations, dishes are clearly labeled (e.g., vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free), which many appreciate. 4. Good for Various Diets Dimassi’s offers vegetarian and allergy-friendly options, and labels them clearly in many locations. Families, large groups, and people who like trying different Mediterranean flavors find it especially suitable.
This Mediterranean restaurant offers a great variety of fresh salads, flavorful meats, and tasty vegetarian options like hummus, falafel, and lamb shank. The prices are reasonable, especially for the quality and portion size. The dining area is spacious and clean, and the staff are friendly and attentive. Weekend price around $33 is fair for this location, but I recommend visiting on weekdays when it’s about $10 cheaper — even better value for the same delicious food.
I used to go to the Cerritos location. This was my first time at the Anaheim location. The place is nice and clean with a ton of seating space. Food is always fresh and very delicious. Salads are so fresh. The food variety is also very good. We came here on a Sunday afternoon and there was no line. The Cerritos location would be super busy at this time! I love this place!
I came here for dinner on my anniversary with my wife. The food was good. Plenty of selection. I enjoyed the Dimassi’s grilled chicken as well as the fried chicken. The gyro was tasty and I came for seconds to make a sandwich with the falafel and pita bread. I had an enjoyable dinner. Oh. Dinner price of $28.99 included the drink so that was a nice added bonus
A delightful experience for anyone craving fresh, flavorful Mediterranean cuisine. The buffet offers a wide variety of dishes from creamy hummus and fresh salads to juicy grilled meats. The lamb shank was my husband favorite dish and I love every single dish. Everything tasted authentic and well-prepared. The atmosphere was casual and welcoming and spotless. Great value for the price. Definitely worth a visit
Excellent food, selection and staff. Food is always fresh, plentiful and a very clean environment. This place is a steal for what you pay and what you get. Drinks are included and there is something for everyone in the family. The lamb is amazing, Sadly you can only get it after 4 pm
From the moment we walked in to Dimassi’s Mediterranean Buffet, the atmosphere felt warm and welcoming, with the spread in the buffet line looking fresh and well-kept. The pita was soft and warm, the hummus rich and flavorful, and the grilled meats had a great char and seasoning. What stood out most was the variety — whether you’re a meat-lover, vegetarian or vegan, there are plenty of solid choices. Service was friendly and attentive, and the overall value for a buffet was excellent. A great spot for a relaxed meal with family or friends.
Food here was amazing, loved their multiple options for chicken and other meats. The rice had alot of flavor and I love their hummus very tasteful. For the price, it is worth spending. You just go in and pick a seat where you like and start dining. The cooks here do an amazing job for keeping the food in check with good quality. Will be coming back here again!
Actually a good buffet experience. All the meat was tender. The salads was good. They have it split off between a vegetarian-only section and a vegetarian-mixed section. The dishes aren't clearly labeled with something like vegetarian so it's a bit harder for those without basic English skills to eat. But, they keep the place clean and they keep the food well-stocked. The lamb shank was alright. You have to ring a bell for it. I definitely wouldn't pay an extra $15 for it. The fried chicken is super light. Since we came here for Thanksgiving, they had turkey and it was surprisingly moist as well. The desserts weren't too sweet so you can actually eat a good bit.
Selection is fantastic, should be able to find your Mediterranean favorites here - humus, garlic, eggplant, etc. There are many different salad delicious as well. If you love lamb (I don't eat lamb, makes me sad) there are quite a few options. The grilled chicken is juicy, tender, and delicious- best thing on the buffet line!
Such an underrated buffet chain in Socal — from feta beet salads to crunchy falafel, warm pita bread and an entire hummus bar! My personal favorite is their tender lamb shank (served during dinner hours) which practically melts off the bone. Also, super self-serve and clean environment. I will say I find the Cerritos location to have a more cozy, inviting atmosphere but will be back to either!
Excellent. When you think the cost is a bit much, the variety and quality makes it worth it. Pros: Great ambiance. Wude variety ofcthibg to choose from. Drinks included. Cons: dessert isok. Baklava was the better dessert but it chewey. I love Chickpeas Medterraean Buffet in LV, but this place is a few levels above. Would definitely be back!
Great place to eat for a family. Love the choices at the buffet. The meats were tender and the veggies are on spot. As the rice pilaf and lintel rice was my favorite The only down fall is the strong smell of the Fabulosa is way too strong while you’re eating. Inhaling it while eating is not so good. It is really overwhelming and doesn’t blend well while trying to eat the food. I think the pice is not really worth it. I truly believe th price would be really worth for 24.99. We would come back if they got rid of the strong smell of the fabulous.
The food was pretty good but not great, wish they can fresher batches, and quality was ok. Wish it was a bit more for what we paid. Overall food was good, self served like any other buffet. The food section is a long aisle, wish it would have been broken up. Plates are on one end of the aisle so it was a little inconvenient but overall it was ok.
Impressively Inhospitable Host - Not a suitable restaurant for families with young children. We went out for a birthday dinner with family at 5:30PM on a Wednesday. Out of 40+ tables (not counting the two unoccupied private rooms) there were just two tables occupied by other patrons. We sat in the far corner of the restaurant as we have a toddler and newborn and prefer not to disturb other diners when possible . Kids being kids, our toddler quickly found that the high chairs have wheels on them and he could move himself around on it at will if he pumped his legs like he was on a swing. Ok, annoying design and poor choice by the restaurant but whatever. Then eventually he decides he’s done with eating and wants to scamper around our side of the wide open restaurant. Not ideal, but they’re called “toddlers” for a reason and no amount of senseless beatings seems to change that disposition within him. The closest patron was about 40 feet away so I figure he’s not bothering anyone. And if he does something inappropriate, I’ll just take him outside. Boy was I wrong. When he begins to push his high chair back to where they’re stored, we get an earful from the host along with some unsolicited parenting advice and comparisons to “other parents”. Thanks bud, but I think his parents know their kid fairly well at this point. Nevermind that they are medical doctors in psychiatry and developmental pediatrics. Kids are going to kid. That’s normal. Remember the part where this is 5:30 on a Wednesday with just two other tables occupied in this massive restaurant? I took a photo just to prove the point. The other patrons didn’t even look in our son’s direction. There was only one person he was bothering, who then gets into issues of “liability”. Wow, no wonder you were so annoyed - you must have been researching the relevant case law on your phone as part of your law school courses!! Here I was thinking you were just scrolling TikTok. If you’re worried about the liability of someone slipping and falling, I’d suggest cleaning your floors instead of leaving spilled food on them (as was the case when we entered the establishment). Or having words with the people smoking 5 feet from your front door on the main walk (in accordance with CA smoking laws).
UPDATE; The owner replied asking me to contact management at the phone number they provided. I did call multiple times and also sent text messages, but my calls were not answered and I never received a response. If the restaurant is serious about addressing cleanliness and hygiene concerns, they should follow through when customers reach out as requested. The lack of response after inviting contact only reinforces my concerns. I’m posting this update so other customers are aware of both the original issue and the lack of follow-up. Eating at Dimassi's was a complete disaster. The quality was absolutely terrible, far below any other restaurant in the area. We even drove all the way from San Diego just to try the food, based on the Google reviews, but it turned out to be the worst experience ever. Don't waste your money here, go somewhere else.
