Plaza Inn is a popular Disneyland restaurant known for its generous portions and friendly staff, especially Julian. The fried chicken is a standout dish, though some find the pot roast replacement disappointing. It's a cafeteria-style experience with a classic Disney vibe.

Great experience at the Plaza Inn! I had the Plaza Inn Chicken Dinner and the Halloween Bundt cake. The chicken was super juicy and delicious, the mashed potatoes and gravy were very good. The cake had a cherry filling and was very good as well. We would definitely return to the Plaza Inn
One of the fancier restaurants in the park. you can sit by the windows while you eat or out side. I got the fried chicken plate with green beans, mashed potato, and a biscuit. It was great the chicken was juicy, the side made a complete meal. For about $20 it was worth it might be a bit much for some but just right for me.
Five stars every time! The fried chicken plate is always a winner and the pasta station gives you the option of sauce with or without meat. It’s mainly staff served buffet style so the lines don’t get super long and sometimes it’s hard to find seating but once you do, all is good again. This is the perfect place to be if you want to catch a glimpse of the parade as well.
What a magical way to start your fantastic day at Disneyland, my wife and grandson went for breakfast at this buffet andet me say it was delicous. Took a picture with Minnie Mouse before entering, as well as her friends said hello to everyone dining in the plaza. Worth every cent.
This is THE place I recommend if you want to fill your tummy with a whole lotta yummy. The food here is always so scrumptious. It is our favorite place in Disneyland to eat when we want an actual meal. The portions are enough to feed 2 people. They do offer to-go containers, just ask! They have salads and desserts a la carte as well. The Disney 100 Lemon Cup was so tasty. And the Chicken was fried to perfection. The strawberry layer cake was so-so, a little bland even though it looks perfect. They also sell the collector cups here and offer MagicKey discounts.
No dairy option! 🤩 WOW! I really didn’t think they’ll take it under consideration that we had a dairy allergy. The front host asked who was the one with the allergy & made sure we didn’t get out of our seat until the chef talked to us. We sat down & again were reminded to wait for the chef. The chef came along & offered us meals without milk. The chef came back with the same food but VEGAN!😍 Vegan Mickey Mouse waffles, no milk eggs, no milk potato’s! We were very impressed by the service, took all my worries away! Even after we got served, the chef came back around numerous time’s to make sure we were good. The service in here is over the top! We had breakfast with Minnie & friends. My daughters loved it!
One of the best place in Disneyland that have good food and comfort place to sit down and chill (cool down from the heat and the crowd). Their chicken is pretty good, I also tried the chicken pesto alfredo (also yummy ~). I love the ambiance of the restaurant, it gives me the Beauty and the Beast vibe. Highly recommended!
This is some delicious fried chicken crispy moist I really did not expect such delicious chicken or food in general from Disneyland but plaza inn is the fried chicken spot it's not cheap it is Disneyland and the fried chicken is 19.99 but you get 3 pieces breast thigh and leg plaza inn does get really busy they do a character breakfast I have never been but if that's your thing the service is excellent Disneyland employees are generally awesome definitely try the fried chicken
This is a great park location for a quick lunch or dinner. The ambiance is very nice. Glass stained windows. The staff is great and friendly. The prices are a little high but it's a theme park, what else would you expect . I had the fried chicken and can yule log, Halloween themed. The chicken was nice and juice and the desert was nice, not too sweet . All and all great experience.
Best Fried Chicken I have Ever had! Maybe not as good as my grandmother's but very close....Eat there twice, So Good! Mashed Potatoes, Gravy, Green Beans, Hot Biscuit! This was Walt Disney's favorite place to eat at the park! My other half said here Chicken Pasta was Great too!
One of the best places to get fried chicken in Disneyland. You get a 3 piece meal which is easily sharable. I enjoyed the chicken breast and the mashed potatoes that came with it. Has outdoor seating with scenic views of the hub at Main St USA. Food is served cafeteria style. You can't beat the price. Would definitely dine here again!
Where do I start?!?! By far the best fried chicken ever!!!! It’s a full on dinner and you can’t go wrong with it. I like to go and eat during the hour the fireworks will be held. It’s a dinner and a show, is how I see it. They also have a pit roast which is really good, green beans, and oh my the mashed potatoes!!! You can’t go wrong on whatever you decide to eat here. This is my favorite restaurant at Disneyland. We really enjoy this place and the cast members are always friendly and very nice. Whatever you decide to get, believe me you will not be disappointed. Want a good dinner worth your penny??? Then this is it my friends. DELICIOUSNESS!!!
1. The portions on the chicken plate are generous! 2. The spot has fun casual vibes as it is located on Main Street! 3. The staff was friendly and tjmely with my order! Note: There is a separate area in the cafeteria that only serves chicken! Photo: Chicken Plate
Yesterday we had dinner at Disneyland’s Plaza Inn, located at the end of Main Street on the right side just before the pathway into Tomorrowland. We ordered the Chicken Dinner with three pieces of chicken, mashed potatoes, green beans and a biscuit ($19.99) and the Salmon Diner with green bean/corn/tomato mixture and mashed potatoes ($18.99) and we shared a slice of Rainbow Cake ($7.79). This was some really tasty Fried Chicken, well worth visiting to enjoy. The Salmon was also really tasty with a cream sauce on top. The Rainbow Cake was really moist with a nice light vanilla flavor. This is not a buffet, and it’s a restaurant where you order your food at the counter, you receive your food then pay at the register before seating yourself either indoor or outdoor. Inside seating is more comfortable. I would say that we would order the same meal again for sure but would also be interested in trying other menu items.
The Plaza Inn at Disneyland is a fantastic dining experience! The atmosphere is cozy and charming, with a classic Disneyland vibe. The fried chicken dish is absolutely 5 stars – crispy, juicy, and full of flavor, a must-try! The Cobb salad was decent, but I’d rate it a 3 out of 5; it was fresh but lacked a little in flavor. The chicken pasta dish was solid, coming in at a 4 out of 5 – creamy and satisfying, though not as impressive as the fried chicken. The service was friendly and efficient, and it’s a great spot for a family meal during a busy day in the park. Highly recommend the fried chicken!
This is my favorite meal at Disneyland! The fried chicken is excellent and the mashed potatoes and gravy are even better.
Disneyland’s in-park restaurants, snacks, and drinks can be a bit pricey, but there are still some gems worth trying. I’ve previously written a review of Flo’s V8 Café in Disney California Adventure for its tasty fried chicken and relatively affordable prices. This time, I wanted to highlight Plaza Inn in Disneyland Park. While it offers a Character Dining Buffet during breakfast (reservation required, $50 for adults and $30 for kids), for lunch and dinner, it’s more of a quick-service spot. You can walk in, order your meal, and take it to your table, with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. The interior is beautiful and elegant —perfect for photos! In the afternoon, we ordered the Fried Chicken Plate. It was more filling than expected, with three pieces of fried chicken, mashed potatoes with gravy, a buttermilk biscuit, and green beans, all for $19.99. The portion is perfect for 1-2 people, and my husband and I shared it as an afternoon snack—it was just right! Our friends also ordered the same dish, and if you have kids, there’s a more affordable Kid’s Menu option. For example, one of the kids in our group got the Penne Pasta for $7.99. If anyone in your group has food allergies (e.g., eggs, dairy, peanuts, fish, etc.), make sure to let the cashier know when ordering. They offer allergy-friendly meal options, and you can also find detailed allergen information directly in the Disneyland app for substitutions.
This is a solid place for dinner! I recommend the fried chicken plate 10/10 Chicken is juicy and delicious! I also tried the beef roast plate 7/10 It’s good, but the gravy is too salty. They always have seasonal desserts which are always bomb.
Returning from a long day at the park, this was the only restaurant open. I was the very last customer, for the chef was kind enough to stay open past set hours to make me a meal. I was fortunate enough to receive a large fresh array of dishes for that dinner all because of that kind, generous head-chef. A bowl of penne pasta with tomato sauce, a plate of carrots-white rice-honey pepper salmon-and gluten free bread, a salad , a serving of fruit and milk was served to me by the chef. I owe him a huge appreciation for finishing that long day with a meal I will forever remember. The food was extremely delicious and not because I was hungry but because the head chef put his time and best effort into cooking it. No doubt about it do I recommend this eatery to anyone who is looking for a hearty meal. All the dinner options were reasonably priced for the large portion sizes.
Dined here twice, once for an event dining package and once for the character dining Minnie & Friends Breakfast buffet. Delicious both times. The characters I saw were Minnie, Daisy, Pooh, Tigger, Pluto, Chip, Dale, and one or two of Cinderella's mice, specifically Suzy. It is one of 4 restaurants that I know of that has character dining, and this one is the only one inside the park, so you need park tickets and park reservations to get in. Of course, it was pricey, but when on vacation, and for the sake of the smiles on the kids' faces, it felt worth it. It also accomplished one of my kids' goals: to get the majority of the classic character's autographs. Instead of us spending all day chasing characters and waiting in long lines, the characters came to us, while we ate. And they do make many rounds to ensure to greet every guest.
For a restaurant at Disneyland, definitely giving this a 5/5 for for the quality and quantity! Not a lot of menu choices but what they offer is hearty, whole food that leaves you feeling full and satiated unlike your typical park food that you pat so much for, don't get a lot of, and then you're hungry an hour later. Husband got the Fried Chicken Dinner with mashed potatoes, gravy, green beans, Biscuit, and he got a slice of carrot cake to split with me. Was some of the best food I've had compared to even most other high end restaurants and for $20, that entree was so worth it! I got the same Dinner entree except I did grilled salmon with lemon butter sauce in lieu of fried chicken and I'd come back for it again! My salmon was 18.99 and again so worth it! We added two side salads got one drink and the added slice of carrot cake so all in all it was $65 after tax, self service, may be hard to get a table when crowded but other than that i absolute recommend this place!
Theme parks are not normally known for having amazing or affordable food, but Plaza Inn at Disneyland might have one of the highest value items served there. The 3 piece fried chicken platter with a breast, thigh, and leg with a scoop of mashed potatoes and gravy, a side of string beans, and a biscuit for $19.49 is definitely the best deal there. Trust me - the fried chicken is really really tasty. And the side dishes are delicious as well! Forget all the other gimmicky options at the park and just go to Plaza Inn for the fried chicken! It's even large enough to split between 2 people so you don't get too full. It won't disappoint!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ An Outstanding Experience Thanks to Julian at Plaza Inn! My family and I had an unforgettable experience at Plaza Inn, and it’s all thanks to Julian. From the moment we were seated, he went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed and cared for. He was incredibly attentive, warm, and genuinely kind — the kind of service you don’t come across often anymore. Julian noticed every detail without being asked, checked in at the perfect moments, and treated my parents and grandma with a level of respect and sweetness that truly stood out. It felt like he wasn’t just doing a job, but genuinely enjoying making sure we had a wonderful time. Highly, highly recommend asking for Julian — he’ll make your day!
The staff is very helpful. Helping us refill drinks, carry trays and visit with the customer’s. The food is always really good. The mashed potatoes were a little cold but still really tasty. The salmon was sooooo yummy. The best part was this chocolate tart crust with a creamy mint filling.

We went for my son’s birthday, and it felt like stepping into a storybook breakfast. It’s not cheap—$55 for adults, $35 for kids—and while the food (think fried chicken, Minnie waffles, cereal, and eggs) was just okay, the character magic totally made it worth it. My little guy lit up meeting them all. I loved the self-serve coffee (thank you, caffeine angels), and they had fruit and yogurt which felt like a small hug for the health-conscious. A little overpriced? Sure. But for the memories? Priceless.
Generous portion of fried chicken here, served with mashed potatoes/gravy and green beans. Lots of seating inside and out, and the outside area has a lot of shade to provide relief from hot days. This is also one of the few places in Disneyland where you can get free drink refills, so don't throw away that fountain cup.
Had breakfast. Let me start with the fried chicken is gooood. The biscuits and gravy is good. Nice soft biscuits with creamy gravy. The pastries i know are not fresh so I didn't bother. Waffles, French toast, eggs, scramble, omelet, sausage, crispy bacon, country potatoes and fruit are all good. The main thing you go for is the characters for your kids. Thats the experience you pay for. The cast do a great job entertaining everyone. If you have kids under 3 they eat for free. Adults are pay so get your fill and enjoy the show
Service is great, wonderful to visit with the characters, food is awesome as usual. Just wish they hadn't gotten rid of the whipping cream. I remember coming years ago and you could put whipped cream on top of your waffles. Like some other things that are missing from the park lately -- used to be able to buy really good fudge at the park. I heard it's only available at Knot's Berry Farm now?
One of the better value places in Disneyland. There's a good amount of chicken and you can sub veggies for double mash. Just grab a tray and come up to the server to ask for it. Its solid fried chicken and mash but nothing to a actually rave about. For 17 dollars though, two people can share it for a pick me up. That lemon chiffon pie though, I was absolutely delicious and highly recommend.
The fried chicken is amazing there. Juicy, fresh, crispy, everything. Although I ate their pasta and it was a bit bland. Their cakes are very good but I’ve only tried their carrot cakes.
Definitely one of the better places to eat dinner in Disneyland. The fried chicken was crispy and flavorful, but a little dry. The mashed potatoes were pretty good, just not super flavorful. And the green beans were decently good. The food is super quick to get and there is lots of seating (which after a long day on your feet is a must). Overall, not too bad!
We usually have lunch or dinner here. You wait and then order inside like a cafeteria. The entrees are generous and decently priced for Disneyland. We like the fried chicken plate with fried chickens, mash potatoes and green beans and a biscuit. Great deal and very tasty!! Highly recommend. They also have indoor seating if you are cold or hot but it’s first come first serve. This trip we decided to try the peppermint cake which was sadly not worth the money nor calories. Not good at all. So disappointed. Stick to the entrees and you’ll enjoy it!
First time going. I didn't realize it was a walk up dining experience. I had assumed that it was one where you need a reservation and had table service. The menu was pretty basic. I got the pot roast which was super tender and delicious. Loved the mashed potatoes. The biscuit was pretty dry and the green beans were soggy. The fried chicken was amazing. The chicken tenders were honestly huge. My kids struggled to finish them. It was very filling with the mashed potatoes. The salad was super good. It had grilled chicken and lots of yummy veggies. The salad dressing was tasty as well. Not spicy at all. Great pricing too since it was about $13. They helped us find a table and it was beautiful. They had chandeliers and a 1900s feel. Would have loved to sit by big windows but it was a busy time. They also had outside seating. Will definitely return

This is, far and away, my favorite restaurant at any Disney property. The selections of comfort food have never ceased to satisfy and refuel me, especially in the middle of a long day on my feet at the resort. There has been a notable drop in quality in both the fried chicken and the pot roast. I can't put my finger on exactly what in the pot roast has degraded, but I would not rank the current version of their fried chicken among the best I've ever had. Damned shame, too...the previous recipe was perfection.
A good stop for food if you didn’t make reservations anywhere. I thought they had gluten free chicken but they were out of… the whole reason we waited in line and rushed in. It’s cafeteria style self service with outdoor seating potentially in the sun. I ended up with the salmon and green beans and it was a solid and healthy option. The non gluten free people enjoyed the fried chicken and chocolate cake!
There’s a really long line out of this place for their fabled fried chicken, but honestly I thought it was just ok. Good for theme park standards I suppose. It’s cafeteria style so you line up at the window for the dish you want and receive it from the worker. The workers are nice. Ambiance is… meh, ok. A little dated, perhaps, but maybe that’s what they were going for. I would probably eat here again if the line wasn’t too long.

First experience at the Plaza Inn for a dining package (Halloween screams event). It was very disappointing. Adult price was $60 per perspn (short ribs, brocolini, mashed potatoes, dirt and worms dessert, and a hibiscus lemonade to drink) and children were $30 (chicken fingers and mashed potatoes, baby carrots, apple sauce, dirt and worms and a soda) BUT you serve yourself, cafeteria style and things like spoons (for the dirt and worms and applesauce) were impossible to find even after asking and being told they were somehwere they weren't- by multiple staff, and had to ask someone to get them for me. Very steep pricing to do everything yourself. Felt like a high school cafeteria. Yes, it did come with reserved seating for the fireworks, but the view was blocked by either a tree, multiple light posts or projection equipment. Not even a clear view of the castle for the projections on it. We would not do this again.
Was quite disappointed with the fried chicken after hearing raving reviews. I'm a huge fried chicken connoisseur and I have to say this is easily below average. If this wasn't in Disneyland, this place will not last more than a year. The only tasty item was their mash potato and I guess it's a decent portion. However, I would not recommend it. $20/meal.
The dining room needs a desperate update. Do not go to the later brunch reservation. We went at 10:30, only saw a couple characters and they close up shop at 11:30. When I say close up they took all the food away were picking up and dusting off mats. It was ridiculous. We didn't even get to finish our meal properly. If they need to turn over the kitchen then they need to cut the breakfast reservations off at an earlier time.
Just had the Disney Plaza Inn set Dining package, so no option to try chicken others rave about. The most expensive meal of our trip, so expectations were high. Meat loaf and dessert were ok, but half a lettuce with some dressing does not make a salad. Forget about the "crispy carrot..." only got 4 slithers of what looked like soggy toilet paper. Staff were nowhere to be seen on arrival, so approached server marked check-in where we were directed back to a vacant check-in desk. Always addressed as "friend" but didn't feel friendly when as a first timer, we tried to clarify package details. Venue presentation and price don't match the food hall service on offer. Should have eaten at the High Key club back at hotel.

Very disappointed! I thought this was a character breakfast like goofy’s kitchen. The apple juice was watered down. The omelettes were very wet. You have to get your own drinks and clear off your tables. The table across from us was dirty for 1 hour. People kept sticking dirty trays on it. Very disappointing was not worth the money. The only good thing was the characters. Would not recommend.
I specifically booked breakfast here so we could meet several characters & have interactions without waiting in lines. However only 3 characters came to our table during our meal! We sat & waited & waited, nothing. So I went to ask a cast member (one with the ask me about characters pin) & was told where I could meet the characters in the park instead. I was told I was lucky I got to meet 3 & they don’t guarantee meeting all of them. I was a bit in shock since we didn’t even get to meet half! I explained that the entire reason I booked this breakfast was to meet characters so I didn’t have to find them in the parks. The cast member didn’t seem to care. Definitely not the experience I expected for $55/person! My daughter was definitely disappointed seeing all the characters walking around & not getting to meet them herself.
Outrageous. They got rid of their classic pot roast and replaced it with a very, very lousy looking meatloaf. This place is supposed to be good, not a low budget greasy spoon. No wonder the place was empty at 7 o’clock at night. You can’t treat your diners like that. We don’t want your lousy meatloaf. Give us our pot roast. This is exactly what happened to Docking Bay 7 a couple of years ago. They had a great pot roast, and it was always crowded. Then they got rid of the pot roast, and people stopped going. When are they going to figure out that people like pot roast? It’s called “comfort food.“ My family was so disappointed, that we left the park early and went to Cracker Barrel for dinner.
