It was kinda loud and still lots of traffic. The staff were all working hard and getting people out within 10 to 15 minutes. Exceptional work!!! I did not see any errors with the orders and tables were getting wiped down as people left. Still seats inside and drive thru traffic was rolling. Very similar to another chicken place, but I think Cane's is better. Soft and tender chicken with soft and hot Texas toast. Sweet southern lemonade was plentiful. Those managers were making it do what it does!! The staff took my breath away. Hardworking!!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ When I heard Raising Cane’s was finally coming to Jacksonville, you already know I had to pull up — and let me tell you, no regrets here whatsoever. 🙌 From the moment I hit the Oakleaf location, the vibe was on point. The team had smiles all around, the music was right, and the energy was crazy good. It’s rare you feel genuine pride and hospitality in a fast-food line, but this crew delivers it every single time. The chicken fingers? Straight-up golden perfection — crispy outside, juicy inside, and always fresh out the fryer. The fries stay hot, the Texas toast is buttery heaven, and that signature Cane’s sauce? Still undefeated. 🔥 Even when the line wraps around the building, they keep it flowing like pros — fast, friendly, and efficient. You can tell this team actually enjoys what they do, and that makes the whole experience stand out. If you’re anywhere near Oakleaf, Argyle Forest, or the Westside, do yourself a favor and stop by. This isn’t just another chain spot — it’s a reminder that good food and good people still exist right here in Duval. Big shoutout to the Oakleaf Cane’s crew — y’all didn’t just bring the flavor, you brought the feeling. 💯🐔✨
To be opened only a couple days and as busy as they were when I went around 5:30-6 PM I was truly amazed at the amount of staff that they had there and how well they kept up with everything that was going on. Finding seating for a group of five people was a little difficult, but due to the fact that it is a new place and that they were super packed and a line of people to get in it was expected. If you were looking for chicken tenders and not a wide variety of food, this is definitely the place. I have read multiple reviews go in both directions, but with my personal experience as well as the group of people that we were with, we loved it. The chicken tenders were very hot and juicy super fresh. The way that they batter them with just the right amount of seasoning. I felt like was perfect. The sauce truly enhance the flavor of the chicken tenders. The french fries are just your everyday crinkle fries. I actually enjoyed the coleslaw. The bread that comes with it is to die for it is absolutely amazing. Going back to the staff. The people they were doing an absolutely amazing job. They were all over the place and kept it together, considering the amount of people that were there. There was multiple people out in the dining areas asking if there was anything that you needed whether you would like a refill or if you had any trash that you needed removed. Extremely friendly and very attentive, especially since this is what I’m assuming to be a type of fast food restaurant. They truly went above and beyond to make sure that each, and every customer keeping in mind there was a bunch of them Was taken care of. I will definitely be returning and do highly recommend that you check this out. I can see it being a place I drive to you from Middleburg just to get some chicken tenders. Especially when things calm down just a little bit. Thank you to all the staff and the cooks. Y’all are doing an amazing job. Keep up the good work and I see this being a great place that’s going to be around for a long time.
We visited Raising Cane's July 22, 2025. Upon arriving during a typical rain downpour we were greeted by Jennifer who provided a plastic bag for our umbrella. Her infectious smile and act of kindness set the tone. We ordered and without asking I received a discount. While waiting for our food I left my credit card where we ordered and there was Jennifer with my card. This restaurant is fortunate to have her. This was my second visit to Raising Cane's my first somewhere along Route 66. My gf lived in a state where they are abundantly present We ordered the box which has 4 chicken pieces, fries, coleslaw, and garlic bread. We added an additional coleslaw and garlic bread, total cost $14.21 out the door for two people. The restaurant has a seating capacity of 52 indoor and 30 seats outdoors. This restaurant at 1pm with heavy rain was packed. This might be a challenge during sunny skies but worth the effort. Certainly we'll be back
I have only ever been to the canes in Louisiana so when I found out, they were building one here in Jacksonville I was over the moon first time trying it here in Jacksonville. I got the box which comes with four tenders fries a drink, garlic bread, and a sauce. I went ahead and paid the extra 599 for the big cup of sauce for my daughter because she absolutely loves it the food high-quality customer service amazing. Got my food fast. It was hot and it came with coleslaw. Coleslaw is not the best but then again nobody comes to canes For the coleslaw food absolutely amazing
I love this place! I’m so happy Jacksonville has one. I wish there was another location *cough cough* St. John’s town center, by the new Lotte market, or even bay meadows would be perfect *cough *cough* although for now, the 40 minute drive is worth it !!
Overall the food was really good. The seasoning was good to me. It had flavor, it was hot. The tenders had a really nice breading. I also loved the fries and bread. The sauce completes the meal. The seating area is a little small. There is out door seating. But an employee is in the lobby taking plates and cleaning tables. I'm not a tender fan. But these are good.
The absolute best chicken. That’s what matters most. Juicy, hot, delicious. Not nasty thick tendons. Just perfect chicken. The fries and bread are ok but the chicken is divine. Bring your own seasoning salt. While these are great alone, a little spicy seasoning salt make them really pop. Service was rather annoying. They asked us five times if “everything is ok over here”. Ok enough already. Would also love a spicy breaded option but no complaints.
Raising Cane's is the best from West Coast, to the South, to Florida, to Jacksonville. Their food is super fresh. Service was good. Teas and lemonades fire. Having lived in Los Angeles, Houston, and Jacksonville I can say that Cane's here in JAX is a whole experience too. 100%. Stop by. Eat Chicken. Be Happy.
We decided to give it a try after things calmed down from the initial opening. Canes was highly recommended by friends and family. We had a late lunch between 1:00 and 2:00 in the afternoon on a Friday, it was very busy. We wanted to dine in for the full Cane experience. Even at that time of the afternoon the drive-thru was slammed. We were able to get into the parking lot finally and went inside. The place was packed but at the moment the line was down to only a couple people. The whole dining room appeared to be utter chaos! We placed our order and we're able to find a seat as it was starting to thin out a little bit. The menu is very simple I kind of like that doesn't take you long to figure out what you want. Our food came quickly and everything was hot fresh and tasty. The fries were hot and crispy they were a little salty but not too big of a deal. Coleslaw is good and the chicken fingers were good. They're sweet tea was good too. I love the sauce, you really need it with the chicken strips as they are pretty plain. Which I like that way I can add my own pepper or use the sauce or hot sauce or whatever you want to put on them. I can't not say anything about the bread I really loved their toast. Soon after we sit down the dining room exploded. Now the line was all the way back to the door. They did have all the cash registers open with the girls taking orders hollering across the room for the next customer, and they had to holler because the place was so loud it was unbelievably loud. But we kind of liked it it was almost like a bar atmosphere you could still talk but just barely. I realize it still new and it's still a novelty and the craziness will wain after a while. We will definitely be back, it is a little off the beaten trail for us but we get that way occasionally. We intentionally planed a trip around eating lunch there on this day.
Brand new to Jacksonville, food was fresh, tasted great, they had plenty of staff. The restaurant was extremely busy but clean. This was to be expected since it's brand new though. Hopefully they can keep the good staff and the good customer service. I hate seeing fast food restaurants eventually go downhill just because they cut staff levels and try to run bare bones crew. So far so good though, just expect a moderate wait since it's a popular food spot.
I have been waiting forever for Canes to be in Jacksonville and let me tell you its taste just as amazing as the first time when I had it in Las Vegas for its opening back in 2006. I have tried every substitute since being in Pensacola and Jacksonville from PDQ, Chick-fil-A, Foosacklys (came close to Canes but small chicken fingers), to the tiny oversalted Zaxbys. I ordered through the mobile app and got my food very quickly. I am so happy they opened up and I want to give them big credit for handling the traffic they have a separate area for drive thru so it doesnt jam up the light, a separate door for dine in orders and a separate door for mobile orders. Love my Raising Canes.

Good chicken and fries. Sauce was good but idk why they are so confident with only 1. Could use more like Zaxby's
Decided to the new and first Jacksonville location with my wife and some friends and I have to say that it was definitely a spectacular experience. The chicken tenders were heavenly and the service was excellent, despite it being fairly busy for a Thursday night. It is kind of a drive if you don’t live on the Westside, but definitely worth trying at least once. I’m looking forward to trying the future River City or Town Center locations when they finally open. 10/10, will definitely return.
2- stars only due to the amount of fries. Had two of the same orders. One order seemed to have less fries then a McDonald's kids meal, while the other had a decent amount. Over quality of the food was good!
I used to eat at this place every day when I was in college in Ohio. I was happy when it finally opened here. I showed up on Thursday and around 150 people were there, so I left. I came back on Friday around 12:00, hoping that people would still be at work. It wasn't too crowded. But they had like at least 25 people working hard in the back and getting our food to us in a hurry. The wait was very short, given the number of customers they had to serve. Overall, the food is about as good as I recall. Felt like I was shorted fries, but that could be expected when they are trying to get food out in a hurry.
Absolutely love this location! The Oakleaf Raising Cane’s always delivers fresh, hot, and crispy chicken with amazing flavor every time. The toast is buttery and golden, the fries are always seasoned just right, and of course — that Cane’s sauce is unbeatable! The staff is friendly, fast, and they keep the line moving even during busy hours. The restaurant is clean, upbeat, and has a fun vibe. Great spot for a quick bite or family meal. Highly recommend if you’re in the area and craving some top-tier chicken tenders! 💯🍗🔥
“Unfortunately, the people of Jacksonville, Florida, have been eating mediocre food and have no idea what good food tastes like—so much so that they would actually compare this chicken to the likes of Zaxby’s. This food is far superior and consistently delicious. The chicken is crunchy, the sauce is better, and the fries are better than Zaxby’s boring, oversalted, non-crunchy offerings. If the folks of Jacksonville, Florida, would just venture out of this dark, desolate food experience and eat what the real world has to offer, their minds might actually be blown. I would honestly love to take someone who lives in Jacksonville, Florida, and drop them into a place like California, Colorado, or Louisiana. Unfortunately, I don’t think they would understand. Why would they? The people of Jacksonville, Florida, and the surrounding areas wouldn’t know what good food is—even if it wore a name tag that said, ‘Hello, my name is GOOD FOOD.’”
So so so soooo good. Get like 50 extra cups of canes sauce and extra bread cause DANG I could’ve eaten nonstop 😭 it’s so good yall ignore the reviews, duval folks want salt on top of salt and overseasoned food. Canes knows how to make FLAVOR and not just a ton of sodium.
We had tried Cane's before in South Carolina and are thrilled that they opened one here in Jacksonville. We placed our order in their app and picked it up. It was sitting there hot & fresh waiting on us. It was a very easy process. They are extremely organized and the food is on point! One thing I love about their food is that it is not too Salty like so many other places are. Everything was perfect. And their sweet tea is the bomb!
Absolutely amazing!! The chicken tastes fresh and made upon ordering. Breaded like it is done in house and not from a frozen pre-done bag. Very impressed and definitely worth the hype!!
Hit Cane's up opening day and had a blast. The chicken was hot and fresh. The bread was soft, warm, sweet, and flavorful. The only things that were suboptimal were totally outside of the business's control (the traffic), but the line was around the building and still handled with precision, professionalism, and haste. My friend and I got in line around the building, got our food, ate it, and left within about 35 minutes. This chain is a great addition to Jacksonville's tender joint lineup, and the people running it have done a great job making sure it goes as smoothly as possible.
I didn't know thats all they sell is chicken fingers but from what I tasted it was good unless u like alot of seasons its just season to taste nothing over board good to me!!
We previously tried Canes down in the Orlando area and our mutual feeling was a general “meh.” We decided to give our new, closer Canes a try and we’re completely blown away!! EXCELLENT ALL THE WAY AROUND! Service was impeccable, food was delicious! That chicken 😍 the fries 😚 the sauce 🫠 the toast 😛 I wanted to go back to the counter and re-order everything again! It’s a 40 minute drive from our house and we will both hesitate to make the drive again in the future! One piece of constructive criticism: maybe have a chat with the staff that cleans (love that someone is actively cleaning 😁), however, she had the square trash can rolling around trying to push through a large crowd of people in the drink area. I would suggest to have them rotate around the store based on traffic patterns. Unless the trash absolutely had to be emptied at that exact moment, had she waited 2-3 minutes, the area was clear and she wouldn’t have been surrounded by customers trying to fill their cups.
As delicious as when i first experienced RC back in AZ. I get it most people just see it as chicken. But IMO that's what's so perfect about RC franchises. You're getting the perfect crispy checkerboard tenders and deliciously salted fries and a thick toast. If you're expecting something more then that's your issue. I love that Jacksonville now has a location and the staff were all amazing. I snuck in just before lunch rush on a Wednesday. Even the manager was out assisting the drive thru team. They worked quickly together in impressive unison. Can't wait to go back again, still trying to figure out why their sauce is so addicting 😩
My kids love Raising Cane's. I have only tried the fries and toast so I cannot personally attest to the chicken. Service through the drive thru is always quick and friendly.
Top notch as always! We had just spent 5 hours at urgent care and where looking forward to this treat. The staff is always courteous and quick and keep the line moving. We came on opening day, and the quality of food and welcome is still the same. Went to college where the first Canes was and its just as good as it was decades ago and im so happy my little one loves it as much as me. We don't usually eat fast food but feel Cane's is on a level above of quality and taste. Even the dogs love it!
I was apart of the line for the grand opening, it was amazing, the staff was so friendly and happy to help and the food was phenomenal. The atmosphere is always amazing at canes and I cannot reccomend enough to sit and dine in, it was incredible clean and while busy (it was obviously going to be it was opening day) it didnt feel too packed and they followed keeping the capacity at a manageable level. This location being this close is a blessing as me and my friends would have to go all the way yo Gainesville just for some canes, now there here and hopefully to stay. One Love ✌️
FYI: CAINE'S, YOU HAVE TO OPEN LOCATIONS IN SAVANNAH, GEORGIA!!!!!! I don't care if the owner of Zaxby's lives in Savannah, Georgia and is the richest resident there! Really...who cares!!?? Raising Canes is SO much more top tier so do as I command and put some stores there and Pooler!!!
These people had it going on!!! My first time ever trying Raising Canes’s and the lady helped me order. Super nice! I kept seeing the workers cleaning and wiping stuff down and asking if we needed anything. I thought they had just opened as in that week but we asked and the girl said they opened in July! This is proof that it all begins with great managers!! Way to go guys!!
We waited for the newness to wear off and dropped by after Church. It was pretty crowded, but there was no wait. You have three choices on the menu. A 4 piece tender with fries, toast and coleslaw, a 3 piece with fries and toast. Or a 3 tender sandwich with fries and toast. All three include a drink. The tenders are so good. I think they shrunk a little bit from the Tampa location. I love the fries and toast. They have a military discount.
Everything was great if you’re wanting some fried chicken, french fries & cole slaw. It was hot, fresh and the sauce was pretty good too. My only complaint is there is nothing “healthy” on the menu like a grilled chicken or a salad so when the kids want their chicken i’m stuck either not ordering or getting fried foods
Great food. The girl that took my order was so sweet and whenever I realize that I had made a mistake on my order, she accommodated me very quickly and had a great customer service. Also, my order was delicious and fresh and ready to go 10 out of 10 would recommend coming back. The window clerk also gave me a water as well for my little one, which I appreciate. Great location great food great service.
As soon as we walked in we were greeted. The staff was very friendly. We ordered 1 Sandwich Combo and 2 The Box Combo. The food came out quickly. Perfect temperature. Oh my goodness the food is delicious. I believe that the price is a great deal with all the food on our plates. (For me it was 2 meals, took 1/2 home) I highly recommend stopping and eating.
I really enjoyed the food. It was very quick service. My only complaint they do not offer anything sweet, as in desserts or anything else. I love sweets after a meal.
If you want some simple delicious chicken tenders and fries, then this is your place. It's really just a simple fast-food, boneless fry chicken joint, ("At least that's what i think. I could be wrong"). I definitely enjoyed my meal. I look forward to going back.
Great place for chicken tenders and crinkle cut fries. The drive thru is fast and the food is hot and fresh. They mostly serve chicken tenders. Its somewhat different from zaxbys. The tender has more of a crunch but the canes sauce is pretty similar to zaxbys zax sauce. The fries are thinner but doesn't have seasoning like zaxbys. Texas toast is light and fluffy. I have visited twice and was in and out in 10 minutes through the drive through.
Wonderful place to eat and dine. I love this place. Fresh, hot, friendly, and fast. Great customer service. Great atmosphere. Love it. Marie you’re the best. Asking do we need refills, making sure the lobby was clean, tables constantly wiped down ,you guys are awesome. Definitely will be returning..
Absolutely amazing and so glad we finally have one here. Every time I go home to see family Canes and Boudin are always my two first stops. I'm just glad I can eat it more than once a year now. For being brand new, with AT LEAST 400 people when doors opened, we were in and out extremely quick, with names being called not even 2 minutes after ordering and the integrity of the food was still perfect. So happy to be a part of this experience and to know the One Love was very much felt from Louisiana to Florida.
I stopped by around 11 pm the other night with my kids and had a really good experience. The young man who helped us, Gage, was super friendly and patient while we ordered. He was really kind to the kids and even offered them some Cane’s toys, which they thought was pretty cool. You could tell he actually cared about giving good service. The food was great too, but honestly the service is what stood out the most. We’ll definitely be back.
Omg! We don't have these where I live so this is my first time trying a chicken sandwich from this place. It was the best chicken sandwich I've ever had hands down. So delicious! I can't wait to go back to Jacksonville so I can eat there again! We just ordered sandwiches. We didn't even try the fries or anything else they might have on the menu.

This was our first ever experience with Raising Cane's and I've got to say it was a pretty good experience. For a fast casual dining restaurant, off the bat, the exterior of this location is very inviting with its contemporary style. The aesthetics of this location continues inside with it's decor and the various seating arrangements which include the standard height, booths and bar height tables. As for the food, I appreciate that there's not a crazy amount of options. It's mainly Chicken Fingers, Crinkle-Cut Fries, Texas Toast, Coleslaw and their Cane's sauce. Their drink options include: fountain dinks, iced tea, and lemonade. We learned that the lemonade is made in-house and freshly squeezed each day, which was actually pretty delicious. We got The Box combo so we could try a little of everything. The toast was nicely buttered and toasty. The chicken fingers and coleslaw were just average tasting. The chicken was fried well and juicy on the inside but it felt like it lacked a bit of flavor. It wasn't bland but I guess if you dipped in into the sauce, it's their saving grace. The Cane's Sauce is really good, by the way. The coleslaw tasted as I expected so nothing really stood out to me. There are 2 family restrooms with changing tables. It was nice, clean and well stocked with paper products. High chairs are available outside the restrooms. And the service we received was great!
Our first Raising Cane's! We have been waiting for the hype to die down around this place and we finally got in. The chicken fingers were excellent. No seasoning, probably because you get Cane's sauce with it, but that doesn't help if you don't like the sauce. Other than that, the fries, bread, Cole slaw were all good. Service was to notch add all questions were answered and help was offered for everything. Very attentive staff! Lots of chaos inside, but that's too be expected when you're dealing with tons of people crammed inside. The attention to detail for decor rallying to Jacksonville history was a very nice touch. We will be back to try this place again.
I've been here twice in the last couple of weeks. Great food and amazing service. Staff is super friendly and helpful. Very clean each time I was there.
We tried Raising Canes for the first time today. I used the online mobile ordering (not the app) easy to navigate, combo section seemed limited, checkout was easy(if your pickup time is not available it lets you adjust the time until it is). Arrived 5 minutes prior and went to the mobile ordering pickup door(separate from the main lobby door) I was greeted kindly and asked for my name, and given my order. I suggest also giving your last name as I was originally given someone else’s order with the same first name but quickly rectified with correct order. Food is hot and fresh, I do recommend not putting the coleslaw in the same container as it was HOT when I got home. Gross. Otherwise food is hot and good and relatively inexpensive for what you get. The 4 piece combo was $12 Canes sauce is really good also had the option to add ketchup and hot sauce with no charge. Could use more seasoning but otherwise we will be back
This was our first ever experience with Raising Cane's and I've got to say it was a pretty good experience. Ordered the sandwich. Bread was nice and soft. Chicken was cooked well. Sandwich had 1 piece of brown withered lettuce on it, which is pathetic. All of the sauce was on that piece of lettuce, so when I removed it, the sauce went with it. Food was just thrown in the bags and falling all over the place. Lids on drinks were coming off and spilling. Cane's is great. I've had it many other times in other cities and states, but this one is a DO NOT RETURN for me until the hype dies down and they're able to focus.
Not Zaxby's but still good. Chicken is bland but in a good way. They should do nuggets. Drive thru situation is atrocious. Drive thru staff is so so. I would go again
The indoor dining area is on the small to average side. However, there is an outdoor patio for dine in customers.
I went in to order at 1230. It was decently busy since its the lunch hour, but food came out quickly and i had no issue finding a table. The staff was pleasant and greeted me when entering the store. Food was hot and fresh, but I would expect that anywhere at lunch time. It was unexpectedly loud in the store and not from customer chatter. All the noise was coming from behind the counter from the noise of the staff. Lots of shouting over each other. Not in a rude way to each other, but more for being sure they got the garlic bread or side they needed for the order they were prepping. Shouting along those lines. Maybe it's better at a slower time, but this is not a place I'd go to have a relaxing lunch.
I first tried Raising Canes while passing through Louisiana less than a year ago and my family liked it. This visit to Oakleaf was good, but not as impressive. If you are a vegan, vegetarian, or someone that eats on the healthier side, this is not the place to go, as the menu shows no options available. All chicken is white meat, fried, crispy, juicy, and cooked to perfection! There is no hint of anything being frozen, re-used, or of being cooked in old oil! (Praise the Lord!!) The thickness of the fries are somewhere between shoe string and crinkle fries. They aren't my personal favorite, but still good and fresh. The Texas toast is thick, buttery, light, fluffy, and perfect for bread lovers! The chicken sandwich has fresh lettuce, tomato, and buns with a thick piece of fried chicken in between with a nice sauce to food ratio. The coleslaw looked fresh and not watered down like some other places around. The dipping sauce is unique with a little bit of tang, but not overpowering and compliments the chicken. The facility is very clean, but needs more indoor seating that keeps seniors, children, and those with disabilities in mind. Most places to sit indoors were at high top tables and chairs or at round seats without backing. There is some mixed seating options available inside with booth seating and chairs with a lower table. However, if it's busy like it was today on a Sunday, your seating options for seniors, children, and those with disabilities are limited. On busy days, indoor movement availability for those in wheelchairs or mobility scooters may be limited. There are two one person restrooms available for use with a occupied and unoccupied sign connected to the locking mechanism as it is turned. Hand washing options are hands free with paper towels available. A fold down diaper changing table is available. I did not see bars on the sides of the wall that may be useful for those with ailments and disabilities. (I do not remember seeing them, but that does not mean they aren't there.) If you are looking to purchase merchandise at this location, you may not be able to get it on demand, as there is a merchandise showcase area with a QR code to scan to buy. The staff is friendly, helpful, approachable, and dressed in clean uniforms. They all smile and work together! I could see a lot of the staff working hard in the open style kitchen. This place seemed fully staffed with the right people! They offer military personnel and family, first responders, police, firefighters, and EMT discount with proper ID! Thank you, Raising Canes!
Always busy but manageable, the Chicken Fingers are larger than the "other" place with a Z, but it is pricey as well. No complaints, if you are in the mood, it's a good alternative.
looking for something different after bowling. remembered Raising Cane had just opened up. everything was fresh and tasty. got the 3 piece combo and was full when I left. the sauce is great
Did not realize, when you order pick up, after 30 min they throw your food away, which i get, but still an inconvenience to wait a few min. Had to wait for them to remake my food and was missing two orders of fries and an order of coleslaw. Food was excellent and the vibe of the place was interesting. Overall would go again, but make sure to check your order if you do a custom order. 4/5.
After waiting years seeing other parts of Florida got their locations, Jacksonville finally got a Cane's location. I've tried Cane's back when South Carolina was the closest (4+ hours) from Jax. As usual, strips are nice and juicy and now I don't have to drive an hour and a half anymore when I'm in the mood for Cane's now which is great.
First time being here, menu is simple, I went through drive thru. The lady taking my order was like is that all for you order 1 kids meal ordered is all and there were 2 adults in the car too. I told her sorry my 1st time so we are looking told her my order and got is that all and I told her no I needed a 2nd one same way and told her honey mustard for 1 meal- we didnt know everything came with cane sauce which was good! I was just really discouraged ordering cause of the rudeness in the drive thru. Then the guy who took my money I asked for an extra sauce he was like sure preparing to get my order I put everything away and then he is like that is blah blah blah price, I went to grab for my wallet and realized I had already put it away and told him nevermind he hands me the food and then tells me have a good day I looked and realized no drinks so I sit there for about 2 mins and he slowly opens his window and says yea and I was like we got drinks too ..... the food when we got home was great but service really needs to be worked on. Honestly not sure if we would return due to the service.
Today December 22,2025 I went through drive thru. Service was fast. Food was hot the only complaint is that I ordered honey mustered and got Cane sauce instead. My opinion you need a dipping sauce because the stripes weren't seasoned. But all in all I'll go back.
Wow, what an experience. The crowd was massive, so I figured, “Hey, this place must be amazing, right?” Wrong. I get inside, and the menu is basically a tribute to chicken tenders—tenders, more tenders, and guess what? A tender sandwich! Throw in fries and coleslaw like it's some gourmet twist. I stared at the menu like I was cracking a safe, finally settling on the 3-piece tenders. When my food arrived, I opened the container and thought, “Huh… did one fall out?” Nope—those two tiny strips were actually three. The fries? Cold and unseasoned—basically sad potato sticks. The sweet tea was the highlight, which isn’t saying much, and the coleslaw was tolerable. Long story short, Zaxby’s and Chick-fil-A are not losing sleep over this place.
So my experience was 10/10…until I chose to consume my Cole slaw on the way home. I ate my tenders and fries in the restaurant but I forgot to pick up a fork and I don’t feel like going to get one. I said, I’d just eat the slaw straight from the cup on the way home. (I don’t want everyone else to see how greedy I am.) However, I like the flavor of the slaw bits seasoned really well…but they’re easy plastic in it. I thought it might have been a hard pice of carrot or cabbage but I pulled it out my mouth and it was a piece of plastic. That’s why I gave 3 stars overall because amidst all the good…that was completely unacceptable. I pulled over in the Firehouse/Dominos plaza to grab the pic. I couldn’t wait until I got home. Also…my 17 year old says add bar b que sauce. Okay, circling back…the slaw is good…just less the plastic. Someone might choke.
Club Cane’s, is how I would describe this place. The food was okay. Service was excellent but the atmosphere gave me a headache. The music was so loud I couldn’t hear my family while we sat to eat our dinner. There are 3 spinning disco balls hanging from the ceiling so maybe the loud music is on point and I’m just old? 🤷🏻♀️ Regardless, I will not be eating here again, at least not if we will be dining in.
I didn’t go in. I just ordered drive-through. I just don’t understand what the big deal about this place is. The chicken is plain. The fries are super plain. At least the ones I got were barely cooked. I think they need a little more variety of things they can do with chicken not just chicken strips.

We got a 6 piece combo... it used to be a decent sized tender pieces... now, cane's give you smaller tenders fir same price... just look at the pictures. You'll not want to spend your money there anymore.
Drive thru wasn't busy but even with there being no line the food was terrible, chicken has no flavor & the fries were soggy and had no salt,my coleslaw was hot so I only took one bite but it also needs improved flavor just tasted like it needed something,if they would slow it down a little and worry about quality over quantity the food might improve flavor wise, also not specifically crazy about the sauce either, weird taste I used ranch and it was better with that, but my kid & husband also did not enjoy it like we hoped we would after hearing and seeing such positive reviews and all this hype over the "cane sauce" we were disappointed and probably will just stick to going to the Holiday on Shindler for our chicken tenders & corn nuggets! But the service was fast and the employees were nice not their fault they are serving products that isn't good for us true chicken lovers lol. But overall I will say 3/10
Not impressed at all. Drove 40 minutes for dissatisfaction. The chicken was bland and the batter was soggy and falling off the chicken. The fries were soggy and unseasoned. My husband got sick after eating here, the only difference he had from my meal was the coleslaw. This place is not worth all the hype, PDQ, Chick-fil-A have better chicken!
Last time they forgot my slaw which I can live with but this time they forgot my toast which is arguably the best part. The time before that the chicken was chewy. Also my drink was leaking all over my car. Probably wont go here for a very long time. I never have these issues at Zaxbys or Chick Fil A. Really sucks to just throw your money away.
The ***only*** reason I’m giving this a two star rating is that they have good Diet Coke. The idea behind having a simple menu makes perfect sense, but they literally have a single dipping sauce that is their version of a thousand island. If you don’t care for thousand island, then you have no other option. We hate thousand island, so we ended up eating dry flavorless chicken. Very small portion of frozen crinkle cut fries to top off the whole not great experience. For 2 small meals and a side of 3 piece chicken, it was almost 35 dollars. No idea what the hype is for this fast food restaurant. We won’t be back.
I am a true foodie and I was disappointed with this place. The chicken by itself base zero flavor and not even salt or pepper. The sauce was amazing so the chicken was good in the sauce but would be much better with flavorful chicken. So my advice would be buy their sauce and get your chicken at Zaxby’s, Chic-Fil-A, Popeyes or KFC. The coleslaw needed a touch of vinegar as it had a very muted flavor. So if you are looking for a great chicken place, this is not it.
Food was decent, definitely understand the hype for the sauce, and the fries were pretty crispy but my issue is with the staff. Most of them were friendly and well mannered for being mostly teenagers but one was incredibly rude. I was trying to find my place in line and get shoved a bit and told “move”. I was very caught off guard realizing it was a worker and it really did affect my experience. I even tried talking to another worker about this and they said she’s been an issue for some of the other workers. I’d suggest better management or training because it’s irritating to go through this when I’m just trying to get to ordering my food. This girl looked young, black, with a blonde wig and fake lashes. Hoping for a better experience next time.
The food was great, simple chicken tenders, fries, slaw and texas toast. The place itself is EXTREMELY small not a very inviting place to sit and eat. Pray you dont have an issue with anything because the servers and managers do not care and will even gaslight you. Avoid this location at ALL costs.
The food was very good and the service was friendly and quick. We were a party of 5 and had a couple of issues. The first was when we entered the lobby (the pavement was dry outside) area the bottoms of our shoes started slipping and sliding, "the floor appeared to be greasy." I've encountered this in the past where staff has used the same mop to clean a greasy kitchen area and then used the same greasy mop in the lobby area. All five of use were uneasy when just standing still and our feet sliding apart. The second were the bathrooms were not clean and water or other liquids were all over the bathroom floors. This just exasperated the slipping issue when walking back into the lobby on greasy floors. This really surprised me since this restaurant is relatively new and the first one in the Jacksonville FL area. I KNOW THEY CAN DO BETTER!!!!
Food was mediocre at best. While the chicken strips were served fresh and hot, they weren't anything special in terms of flavor. The price is the real kicker—nearly $19 for a 6- tiny chicken finger meal feels very steep. Honestly, Zaxby's offers much better value and taste. This felt like a pricey copycat that didn't live up to the hype.
Wow SO disappointing. I had Canes one other time in a different city, also recently opened. The chicken was fantastic. Not so here: smaller, a bit dry, nothing special. Fries lukewarm, toast not worth it. Ladies at counter were nice. Every open table was dirty and trash on the floor. I was so much looking forward to the Canes chicken again after my first experience but won't be back.
11/6 my first time going to this restaurant through the drive-through I gave my order to the young lady and she gave me a total as I was taking out my credit card. My wife said could I change my drink for a sweet tea and I told her that before she charged it and I asked her did you hear me, it looks like she was on the intercom or talking to someone in the store so she said yes no problem then she charge my card. When I pulled up to the window, I noticed that the gentleman there gave me a Sprite in my Coke and I asked him can you please change this to sweet tea? I told the young lady to change it, so don’t know if he was having a bad day, but he kind of raised his voice a little saying, she has already charge you for that and I said OK no problem I’ll pay for it and he said I can’t do that, I said, but I’m going to pay for it so in a High Pitch voice he stating give me, give me, give me. He took the drink and threw it over the counter, where he was into the garbage can, and he had a slight attitude. There was no reason for that. So when he gave me the drink, I said sir, I’m willing to pay for it and he started going off about that. I needed to do that before the transaction with the girl and I said I did told her before she charged me. so I waited for him to give me the food and I told him, this is my first time coming to this restaurant and your customer service is not good. He looks Latino and this is not a racial thing because I’m Latino myself but his customer service and attitude was not very nice. I will not go there again or any other store.
I will preface this by saying I normally love Canes and I dine here pretty often. I normally wouldn't leave a review but my experience with the service I had tonight was frustrating enough for me to leave this review. I arrived at this location at 1 am and I know it's pretty late so I expect the service to be a little bit slow and ordering my meal (Box combo, no slaw extra fries) was pretty fast all things considered but then after waiting at the payment window for a good 7-ish minutes I payed for my meal at 1:12. A few minutes go by and the teller informs me to pull my vehicle over to the corner of the store and a team member will deliver my food. I waited for another 12 minutes while other vehicles pass mine with their food in hand while I sat in mine wondering where this team member was. I ended up having to park and walk inside the establishment to ask the cashier about my drive thru order and I finally got my meal at 1:25. I will still go back to this establishment, but I am extremely disappointed that I ended up needing to park my vehicle and walk inside the restaurant in oder to ask about my order.
update 8/26/25 the chicken was still bland, no salt or pepper or any seasoning. the fries were better, had salt but so basic, tasted like something you would hey from the frozen food section. the bread is just gross, one side was ripped off and the buttered side had a bad taste. original post Just meh.... The chicken had no flavor, breading was crispy on the chicken. We had 13 tenders and some were large and some were very small. the fries had no salt and no flavor. the canes sauce and the dr pepper was the best part. the bread was thick but no flavor, we threw it away. Don't bother coming here, go anywhere else instead to get good chicken.

Got overpriced tenders that was over cooked and cover in oil. I've had them in Texas and they are definitely better in Texas. Your better off going to Zaxbys
Food is awful, the chicken has literally no seasoning whatsoever... they have 3 sauces?! Canes sauce, honey mustard and ketchup... and after making my order I got my whole family coke and disgustingly it was root beer and had to find out the hard way.... this was the first and last time trying canes.... 😕
They only have chicken tenders nothing else, and they were nothing to right home about. Breading was light but no real flavor tasted bland. How the restaurant got its name was cute story. Prices are to high for what they serve.
First and last time we will be coming here. Wanted to try the new location. We put up to two active lines the car infront of us takes an extremely long time to order the other employee continues to serve 6 other cars that came after us never thinking to take our order and even served cars that swapped lanes behind us seeing the back up. When we are finally served the team member is arguing with someone on the headphone about the back up not being her fault. When we pull up out lane is blocked by a cone. When we try to wave at the two employees at the window to see if we need to merge into the other lane we're ignored because the team members are too busy horseplaying with eachother. So we try to switch lanes just to be told to come back over. Very poor communication and customer service. The food wasn't worth this experience.
I went tonight to get dinner. Everything was cool until I got to the window. The young lady went to hand me my drink and noticed it was over flowing. She took the cup used her fingertips and nail to cover the top where the straw goes and dumped the excess soda off. I’m so disgusted I’ll never come back. I threw everything away how unsanitary! Now I’m extra upset because I should’ve asked for a refund but my attitude is horrible and I couldn’t act that way with a kid. So I just drove off and found a trash can. Smh money gas and time wasted.
The manager at this location needs better customer service skills! I told him I didn’t want my sauce in the box touching my food he started yelling at me telling me I should have said no sauce because that’s how it comes! I have been to several location and had my sauces place in the bag and not on the food! His customer service sucks then he started yelling asking me what’s my name so he can give me a refund! This location needs a customer service training class!
This place is like a worse version of zaxbeys. It was not good the chicken was greasy, the fries were very salty and unseasoned, the bread was dry as a desert. I even bit down on the chicken and it made my whole tooth bleed and ache! I don’t recommend
I have love canes for a long time but the new location has some really bad staffing. Cam took my order and had zero patience and a lot of attitude. Ask to speak to a manger and was told they were occupied at 1:45pm?? Definitely needs new night staffing.
Very disappointed in the food. They cooked it well. It’s just really fried chicken that has no seasoning. But it does require for you to utilize their sauce to bring the flavor. The sauce is okay. It’s for those who loves a good fry with not a lot of seasoning. Not for us. But the bread…the bread was good!
Online, Google shows the restaurant opens at 10 AM. It’s currently 10:56 AM on December 7th, and there are people standing outside waiting to be served. The doors are locked, and the drive-thru is blocked off. When I called and spoke with the manager, Jason, he told me the closure is “only for today.” When I asked why this wasn’t updated online, he simply said he would speak with someone about it in the future. This is extremely inconvenient and should be corrected so customers aren’t misled.
This place is absolutely crawling with 13 year olds with ZERO supervision that curse at you at 10pm at night. There’s like 30 kids with ski mask on just sitting outside for no reason at all….
Love coming here but yall absolutely dropped the ball tonight. First only one side of the drive though was “open” but there were 2 people out there to take orders the one kept pointing cars to the other line while she just stood on the other side and did nothing. We ordered two box combos and when we got home they left out the toast on both boxes.
Went here after a 16 hour shift. Tired and hungry, ended up waiting over 10 minutes in a drive through to get my meal. I get home and open it to see i got literally 12 fries... and no coleslaw.. oh and also, they have some of the smallest tenders in the game. Taste is great but quantity and service is horrible! Go across the street to zaxbys of cfa instead
The chicken fingers had zero flavor. I’ve had better chicken fingers at McDonald’s, Wendy’s, Zaxby’s, heck even Burger King. Won’t return here even if given coupons for free meals.
