This place feels like home. A simple spot with two ladies cooking and serving with so much heart. The atmosphere has that hometown feel, and their kindness makes you feel welcome right away. The pork chop was so good I couldn’t even wait for it to cool before digging in 😅. The homemade pancakes were just as delicious. A hidden gem!

The food and customer service were on point! Sure, one of the chicken drums came out a bit undercooked, but it didn’t ruin the vibe at all. Plus, the prices are super affordable! We’ll definitely be back for more!

This was my second time getting food from Lula Mae’s. It was so good I just had to write a review! 1. I love the welcoming, home-like environment when you walk through the door. I didn’t feel like a customer…more like I was stopping at my aunt’s house to get a plate. 2. Great, friendly service. This is rare these days. 3. My fried fish was amazing…everything was flavorful. I wish I had ordered 2 dinners for myself! 4. My husband enjoyed all his food and even ate the pinto beans. This man doesn’t even like beans. He rated his food a 10/10, which is a first for him! I am sure we will be back sooner rather than later!

Came here for the first time today and everything was great!!! The food was delicious., my mom and I couldn'tbelieve we ate the whole plate in one sitting... never had sweet potato cornbread before and now I think I prefer it over the traditional cornbread. Thank you Candy!!! I pray The Lord continues to bless you, your family and your business. 10/10 definitely recommend

The food and customer service is amazing!! Not only is the food cook to order you can feel the love of food in the air. This gem hidden in Apk isn't spoken about enough. I have so many things to say... It was my 1st time here. All I can say is I felt like I was in granny's kitchen on Sunday morning getting some good breakfast made with love. I ordered the fish!!! Babayyyyyyyy fish so crispy but melted in my mouth. Everything cooked to order. Fresh and delicious. I sat there for my order and it felt like home!!!! This gem hidden in plain site in Apk. Imagine hot fish with some white bread hot sauce mustard and good vibes. Can't ask for anything better!!!!

My husband and I are new to the area. We wanted some down home good cooking , this place came up on google and we were about 7 min away. The cook / owner was very nice talked to us and gave us a little of her business history. Service was attentive and accommodating. I ordered a Big Back special lol ( that’s what I call it)! My only complaint is, I wish they had home fries and toast to go with my fish and grits lol but I’ll definitely get them the next time. The place was small but very clean and comfortable. We will be back again. I would recommend this spot if you’re looking for a good inexpensive meal.

Comfort food at its finest! We came for dinner on Sunday and ate inside. All their drinks are sweet, lol, cold and delicious. All four diners in our party enjoyed their meal, the atmosphere, and the hospitality from the owners. To-go plates ordered for 5 kiddos were demolished when we got home 😋

If you want food you can taste the love and soul put into it, this is the place! Although they were out of waffles, their chicken and fries lunch was amazing. It was cooked and seasoned perfectly, and the hot sauce was top notch. This is a go to for some delicious authentic southern food, we will be back!

Myself and some friends from work stopped in. The two young ladies that were there were friendly and welcoming. The food was great and the price was as well. If you are looking for real people that cook real good food this is the spot! Thank you ladies!

Having read reviews about Lula Mae’s this was a destination stop. It was morning and we ordered breakfast. My husband had & I quote “a pork chop cooked perfectly”; tender & moist with 2 eggs, grits & toast. I had the same only bacon as my meat of choice. The grits were exceptional. Real grits, creamy & a generous portion. We were the only patrons dining in, everyone else had called in their order and picked it up. The place had a constant flow of customers picking up food. We’re looking forward to Sunday dinner. I saw a review for Soulful Sunday dinner. Can’t wait!

Went here for lunch today, called ahead and was advised they closed at 3pm but would stay open if I wanted to come and grab something. Who stays open just for that??? I knew right than I would be a life long patron. I grabbed my mom and swiftly drove up. I was greeted swiftly by a nice young lady named Candy. I was advised the restaurant was name after her mom. She had a warm smile and sweet disposition. I thanked her for staying open so we can order to go. We ordered 3 pork chop sandwiches and fries and shrimp and fries. Condiments are located in dinning area. Than I noticed two young men with chicken wings and fries and added that to my order. I later learned these young men were Candy's nephews who gave me the tip to add hot sauce to my wings. I followed that advice and when I got home I could not put those wings down. Don't even get me started with big juicy pork chop sandwich. Candy put her foot in that food..omg!! They serve dinner on Sundays, my mom and I are already planning to return to try breakfast and dinner. If you are in the Apopka area definitely stop by for a bite and a hello to Candy...She is a big fan of the Candy Girl song by New Edition!!

Chicken was so soft and juicy. Everything tasted like homemade. I even ordered more to take home for dinner. Environment is so nice. Owner is kind and so welcoming. Prices are very affordable. TRANSPORTED HOME TO PHILADELPHIA!! it’s almost impossible to find a genuine Philly cheesesteak here in Florida. Cheesesteak franchisees are everywhere. Those are just sandwiches! Candy, (my new best friend) has done it!!! DELICIOUS!!! I was actually sad when I finished this generous, amazing taste of home. Thank you, Candy and KeKe!!!

Cool local spot. It's Juneteenth what better way to celebrate than by supporting a small local BoB for breakfast. We had shrimp & grits, fried fish, salmon croquettes, sausage & eggs. Everything was fresh and nicely seasoned. I'd go back to try pork chops and liver and a fish sandwich.

So it took about an hour just to get your basic chicken and waffles, some hot wings and we asked for a grilled cheese too. The sodas were in a cooler in the back, through the stockroom. The place is pretty much designed for takeout but without much other than a styrofoam container to carry your food in. There were a choice of a couple plastic spoons and there were no to-go condiments. I think there's a DJ booth setup in there and it's very small with three tables and office chairs, and a little bar area to sit at. We were not too impressed so we probably won't go back. But that's just our flavor.
