No lie! Real Mexican food, real Mexican decor, real Mexican experience, real Mexican music! People ask all the time, “do you know where there is good Mexican food in the high desert?” I can honestly say, there are now 2 restaurants. Paulina‘s Mexican restaurant in Victorville and now, Viva Maria’s Mexican restaurant in Apple valley. Bomb, bomb, bomb!!! Must try!! I had the surf and turf at Viva Maria’s and my wife had the beef tamale and chile relleno combo plate with rice. Rice was fire! OG old school Mexican music and decor made the experience! Service was great! Checked on us several times, they made sure we had everything we needed.

We just moved here. We wanted Mexican food ! We came in on a Sunday , turns out they had a Mexican buffet . Everything was so good! The carne roja was similar to birria! Bomb!!! They have a lady on the side doing tortillas! The lady was so nice she explained how to serve ourselves, she offered tortillas de harina and de maíz . My boys liked the carnitas con chile . We will definitely be going back soon.

This place never disappoints. Whatever we get it’s above and beyond our expectations. Large portions so be prepared to have leftovers. Well worth the price. Staff is always very friendly and attentive. Our waiter Eric is exceptionally good and informative. Love this place.

The food was disappointing. Prices are high but the quality wasn’t. My son had a few spoons of the pozole because it was bland even when he added lemon. I ordered Sonora enchiladas and Ive never seen vinegar sliced jalapeños and huge chopped onion. Let’s just say I only ate half of them. We won’t be returning. Customer service was okay 6/10.

We were very impressed with the portions of food we got. The food was good. The margaritas were good and had enough alcohol to get you feeling right. I highly recommend this restaurant if you are hungry. It will not disappoint.

Great place to go with friends and family. Super cute decor!! Service is great and food is delicious. I recommend the camarones al ajillo! Delicious!! Mangoneada margarita is bomb too!

This place is awesome. I've lived in apple valley for a few years and never been here. But OMG, this place is great. Everything I have tried so far is amazing, flavorful, and very well worth the price. Not to mention the portions are great. I had to take half of my burrito home. And the margaritas 🍹 are epic. Definitely need to give this place a try. The staff and environment are awesome.

This place has really good tasting food with good portions. A little pricey but very tasty. It's a little dark inside but it's not too bad. Chips and salsa are complimentary and service is always great and fast. Highly recommend.

I don't know why it has taken us so long to try this restaurant! The atmosphere is so warm and cozy, you feel like you're in a restaurant in Mexico. The waitress was quiet but very friendly and helpful. The order came out quickly and was absolutely delicious. The price is good for the portion size too. We will definitely be back!

I love rating restaurants with a high score. Not only does it mean I'm more than happy with the place as a whole, but also that I will be returning for more reviews in the near future. For starters, the service here is great, and the atmosphere also great as well! But unfortunately that's where the greatness ends. The food was sub par at best. No flavor at all, and that's just not acceptable, at least for me! So without going into a negative rant, I will leave it at that.

Everyone in my group liked their food. I would have given mine around a 3, but everyone else raved about their dishes so it may have just been my dish, or just my taste this evening. The facilities seemed well kept, with good ambiance as expected for a nice Mexican restaurant. Based off food only I would give a 4 🌟; however, while the servers were nice, we had to ask for drink refills after siting with empty glasses for a while, had to ask for a second basket of chips, which was needed due to quite a lengthy wait for our dinner. Overall, I would recommend if not in a rush, and would be willing to give a second chance with a different dish.

The female bartender that works Monday, Wednesday and Friday has a terrible attitude was super rude about bringing more salsa and we tipped her 20$ on a 30$ bill. Never again will we be coming here after that. Try el tio Pepe in Victorville much better service!
