We had one of the best meals we have ever had here. Very surprised by some of the reviews as the food was excellent. Yes it is on the more pricier side compared to local restaurants it’s a much more fine dinning experience and I would happily recommend to anyone. We did not do the signature menu and just chose our own dishes. We had starters, mains and 2 bottles of wine and came to around £190 for 3 of us. But everyone was in agreement the food and wine was worth it. Would 100% go again The best dishes of the night were: tuna tataki and the duck main was sensational.

Staff was fast and friendly. Tried the 5 course tasting menu for €72, and an additional main. Overall very delicious but not everything was 100%. Soup was excellent for example as was the scabbard with the noisette butter and the lamb (latter not in the tasting menu). On the negative side, the rice in of the courses was undercooked and the pork in another course was dry/ hard to chew.

Lovely venue, perfect to catch the sunset. The staff is very courteous - we felt extremely valued as customers. In addition to the regular menu, they offer an entirely vegan one - a remarkable feat, especially in Madeira or in Portugal in general. The food was traditional, yet creative and overall delicious. Definetly recommend.

Wir waren hier direkt zwei Mal essen und waren beide Male total begeistert. Auch wenn man nicht in dem Hotel schläft wird man hier nett und herzlich empfangen. Neben der normalen Karte gibt es eine speziell vegane Karte, welche ebenfalls ausgezeichnet ist. Preis- Leistung absolut in Ordnung. Der Sonnenuntergang von der Terrasse ist wunderschön (Mitte Oktober zwischen 19:00 und 19:30 Uhr)

Finer dining experience in Madeira. The restaurant is located inside the Sacchurum hotel. Was easily able to eat without a booking but visited in January so less busy on the island generally. Service is excellent. The food is beautifully presented and delicious.

Was really impressed with the quality of the ingredients, the precision of the cooking and presentation, the attentiveness of the staff, and the selection of wines. We were nervous to invest in what would be quite a pricey night out especially compared to cheap but easy going meals we had had on the waterfront and based on some reviews here. But celebrating our last night of holiday here was a real highlight and definitely worth it. Children were also well catered for and made to feel welcome in this fine dining environment.

Un repas excellent avec un service irréprochable et tout ça avec une vue sur l’océan magnifique. Nous en avons eu pour deux à 170€ avec entrée plat dessert et vin. Nous recommandons à 200%, le rapport qualité prix est largement au rdv.

Top ingredients, great presentation, but I would find something I don’t like in any meal from the menu. Maybe my problem, but sometimes less is more. Someone was really overthinking used ingredients for meals on the menu. To each their own, but this is not what I would enjoy and praise.

There was not enough choice on the menu There were no sides with main courses I wanted chips or extra vegetables but this wasn’t an option So I asked for a salad, and I got a very small bowl with no dressing and just carrots lettuce and a bit of tomato. Very uninspiring. My Husband ordered a vanilla ice cream and he got one scoop with synthetic cream on the bottom It was supposed to be a special evening The staff were lovely and the ambience was great. The setting overlooking the ocean is beautiful, but the actual food let it down in my opinion.

Food 7/10 Service 9/10 Atmosphere 8/10 The main course was pretty good but I got the impression that the chef was more mindful about the presentation than a refined taste. It was good, but not mind-blowing good. The big plates that weren't pre-heated also meant that due to the plate-to-food ratio the food got cold pretty quickly :(. Same thing with the dessert - beautiful presentation, but due to it being served on a big plate, the ice cream was melting quickly. Also, the strawberry ice cream (albeit very tasty) overshadowed the rest of the dish although the dish was called "Mango". In that case it didn't matter that much, because the dessert was very small. Moreover, don't expect more than 3-4 heaped tablespoons of dessert. I can't really recommend the desserts. The starters on the other hand were very good and came in the right size. The staff was very friendly, quick, professional and accomodating. We did not feel left alone or staff being too pushy. The atmosphere of the restaurant was nice, the decorations in the hotel and the restaurant were very beautiful. The only downside for me was how they laid out the tables of the restaurant and the counter, because it's like one big walkway in the middle with tables to the right and left. Due to that it didn't feel as atmospheric, but I can also understand it from a hotel perspective. Overall, I would go again, but would be cautious about the various pitfalls.

The service was fantastic!! The food though was awful. 16 euros for a cup of soup with one piece of lobster so over cooked it was like rubber. Pumpkin purée tasted just like it sounds with no spices added. Duck was dry. Risotto was under cooked, not al dente. I mean the rice grain crunched. Lamb was chewy. The presentation was wonderful and the service was impecable. But I wouldn’t eat here. The food would still be terrible even if it was just pub level food prices.

We have been eating much better for only a fraction of the price, and the restaurant is absolutely not up to the standard they pretend. We had the "signature menu" including wines (more than 200€ for 2 persons): - the wines did not fit with the menu at all. Despite that, the staff made mistakes by serving the wrong wines with the wrong dish - the food was off a moderate quality, not cohesive, refined or inspiring - the food or wines were not presented at all, we would like a bit more explanation than: "this is a white wine from Portugal", "this is the soup",... - the menu is not balanced. - the prices are already way too high, but on top of that the menu price is higher than announced in the hotel app and a lot of hidden charges are applied. The hotel is lovely, unfortunately the restaurant takes down this experience.

Das Ambiente im Restaurant war sehr schön und die Kellner sehr zuvorkommend. Das Essen war auch sehr lecker. Leider war das Vergnügen nur für kurze Dauer, denn bereits in der Nacht hatten wir beide erste Anzeichen einer Lebensmittelvergiftung und somit mussten wir leider den letzten Tag unseres Urlaubs im Hotelzimmer verbringen. Somit würden wir definitiv nicht wieder dieses Restaurant wählen, noch dazu bei diesen Preisen.
