Please give this restaurant a try! Hosted my daughter’s 10th birthday here and the kids made their own custom pizzas. We also ordered a tray of Marsala chicken with linguine pasta, Greek salad and some pizza for the adults. It was delicious and Miriam the new owner of Sophistician Cafe was so accommodating and a great hostess. Everything was reasonably priced. Will definitely be ordering here more often.

First time in this place. Next level of delicious pizza, hero and chicken salad. Chicken salad bowl is HUGE in both size and flavor. The Buffalo chicken hero is to die for and the house specialty Sophistian Pizza 🍕 is just perfect in flavor, texture and thickness. Will definitely come back again and again and again.

This may be my new favorite pizza in Astoria. Ordered the personal Sophistian pizza and it was fantastic! Quality ingredients. I especially loved the flavor of the sauce, cheese and sausage. Very different from the typical NY pie that’s basically the same no matter where you go, which was a delight. I only wish I would have ordered the large because I ate the whole personal 12 inch pie in one sitting.

Some of the best food and services I’ve ever had. After the first night eating here we came back the next day for lunch. Our servers both times were super nice and friendly. The food is so incredible I’ve had to stop myself from finishing all of it. The dessert is amazing too.

I had an amazing experience at this Mexican restaurant named SOPHISTIAN! The food was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented, with every bite reminding me of authentic home-cooked meals. I've been here a few times. It's a beautiful, very cute, cozy, sort of rustic space with a very casual, relaxed atmosphere. And they serve excellent, very delicious food. The portions are generous. Every dish I've had thus far has been just absolutely scrumptious, with a beautiful presentation. Their prices are very reasonable as well. And they provide great service. The staff is very friendly, welcoming, and accommodating, especially Christian (btw, if you're curious about the genesis of the name, it's a portmanteau of the owner's two children: Sophia & Christian). I highly recommend this place and I definitely will be returning --- many times.

i ordered a torta and a slice of cheese pizza, and i’m ngl the slice tasted frozen like the quality of the ingredients looked homemade but the taste of it actually tasted frozen how is that even possible lol 😭 but the torta was fireeeeee. probably better to go the mexican cuisine route when it comes to this spot.
