This place is amazing! Everything about this place was great, the staff are super nice, the food was out of this world, and the price was super low. Usually, I don’t get filled up at a sushi place, but this place did it marvelously. There is gentle piano music playing in the background, making the experience amazing. Everything me and my dad had tasted wild. The wakame salad was so flavorful, and the pepper tail was phenomenal. We enjoyed each of our rolls, and left nothing. And to finish it off, the gave us this salmon thing on the house, and it was so good. It just melted in my mouth. And to finish it off, the prices were great, especially at the quality of the sushi. This is easily my favorite sushi place anywhere, and I would highly recommend it to anyone.

Sakura Sushi is the best sushi around. We love Hank's creativity, presentation and super high quality fish and all his ingredients. Krystal and Janice are always very attentive that they make you feel like you've always known them. We highly recommend Sakura Sushi.

My favorite sushi restaurant in Auburn by a wide margin. The atmosphere is calm and welcoming. Hanging spotlights over the table highlight the amazing food. Service is quick and attentive. Jalapeno BOMs are a must. The tempura was perfectly fried--crispy but not oily. The Sakura roll and 49er roll are fantastic, as well. Don't miss out on this hidden gem.

What can I say! I never review anything on here, but this place deserves it! First of all the location is perfect, it's nice, small, and quite. Second off, the service was awesome! I didn't have to flag anyone down and was well taken care of. And last but not least the food was AWESOME. I have worked in sushi for awhile and the quality of fish was amazing, the presentation was beautiful and the price/portions were perfect. I think me and my husband have found our new favorite place 🧡

The most delicious sushi I have ever tasted. Service is also wonderful. We are from SF Bay Area, but even with our great selection of sushi restauraunts, this place is the best, it is a little gem.

I haven’t had such high quality nigiri for years. For each city I visit, my first choice is always sushi. I am super glad that this restaurant blowed my mind. I have tried 12 different nigiris, none of them are not tasty. The fish melt in your mouth immediately, rich flavors flow over your tongue. I can’t wait to come back again if I get another chance to visit Auburn.

The fish quality is fantastic, the chef (whom I'm pretty sure is one of the owners) puts love into every dish, and you can taste every little nuance of flavor. This is not some gimmicky Americanized giant portion kind of place, it's special, it's well prepared and delicious. The atmosphere is awesome too with the small and intimate kind of dining room. I've been here with multiple friends and we laughed and had a fantastic time, and I have been here by myself and had a wonderful quiet meal. Every time I've been here I've walked away feeling like I had an awesome experience, please give it a try!

The waitress, Crystal, was very knowledgeable about all the food and friendly and helpful. We really loved everything we ate so check it out! It's all sushi although some of the fish is cooked. Lovely creative presentations. Everything was delicious. We got a wide variety of rolls, some gyowza appetizers, and some delicious salads. What a find!

Wonderful little mom & pop place with delicious fresh fish for a good price. The chef was artful in the preparation of the meal, and the service was extremely kind and friendly. I spent about $30 after tax on Chirashi, which is on the cheaper end of most places I see. I'm starting this for future trips through the area!

This place is sooooo good the chef makes amazing authentic rolls not overly sauced up. The servers are also friendly and quick.

Easily the best sushi I've had in the Grass Valley/Auburn/Roseville area. There's a wide variety of options and I've literally never had something bad from their menu. Everything is fresh and quickly prepared as well. Plus, the atmosphere is so relaxing. I can't recommend this place enough! My dad and I try to go a couple of times a month!

The food and service were great. Unfortunately, it's in a rather old facility that could use some updating.

Food: we ordered 4 rolls: monster and baked lobster -baked rolls, and Sakura and spider rolls. Too much rice and not enough fish on the rolls, the roll size are too small the monster and spider were 5 pieces. Feels like a little rip off for just under 75 bucks. Service: when we walked, we were the only customers there, we were greeted and sat down at the table. We were often checked upon during our dinner. Atmosphere: it’s December it’s chilly outside, but please no need to ramp up the heater to max in a sushi restaurant, the smell of fish takes over and it’s not very pleasant smell. I’m rarely in Auburn , was passing by. I’ll less likely be making more stops at Sakura.
