A+A Sichuan China is praised for its authentic Sichuan cuisine, generous portions, and friendly service. Standout dishes include the spicy fish, mapo tofu, salt and pepper pork chop, and garlic green beans. Some find the new takeout-only format disappointing.

Got combination Singapore noodles for takeout. When I first walked into the restaurant I didn’t expect much of the food due to the outdated look the restaurant had. I was wrong it was so so so sooo good. I asked for it to be spicy and it was definately just as spicy as I wanted. Plus they were super bice. I definately will be back to the next time I’m in Austin.
The ChongChing is legit!!! I’ve been trying to find a place who knows how to make it properly for years. Not too salty, not too dry. Perfect! C25. Chongching Stir-Fried Chicken with Chili / 重慶辣子雞 (Poultry / 雞鴨)
Amazing food, friendly staff! G is so very nice and the food was amazing!

Fresh traditional food, big portions, excellent prices, friendly service. The cold chicken and garlic green beans are my favorite, boyfriend loves the Dan Dan noodles. They recently started selling bubble teas which are tasty without being too sweet like most other places. Been coming here for years but seems like business is down lately, not sure why so wrote a review to hopefully drive more people there.
Perfect balance between having an American style Chinese menu and an authentic one (they have rabbits and frog legs as well as general Tso chicken and pepper steak, etc.). Flavors are amazing, especially if you're interested in the more authentic Sichuan flavors (they have dishes with Sichuan pepper infused). Portion sizes are good, and they provide more than ample amount of rice per dish. Good variety of items on the lunch special, though I wish more authentic ones can be added to it. Highly recommend.
Best old school (non fusion) Asian food in Austin, hands down. We had salt and pepper shrimp, combo lo mein, beef & broccoli and egg rolls. Everything was great quality, cooked perfectly, with fast and friendly service. We will be back, even though it's on the other side of town for us. Totally worth the drive. What ever the sweet and sour dipping sauce is made with is amazing and I'd buy a bottle if I could (hint, hint). Thanks for a great meal, you made our day. #foodislove
I was incredibly happy that A+A was not murdered by the covid reaction. They transitioned from a good-sized sit-down restaurant to a take-out place, but their food did not suffer. True Sichuan cuisine, and it's fantastic! Pork & Mustard Greens, Cumin Beef, and Green Beans w/ Garlic are our mainstays. I do ask them to make everything appropriately spicy, which I highly recommend! Their soups, dumplings, and noodles are very good, but they really shine with their meat and veg entrees. I could eat the pork and greens dish every day and not get tired of it - there's probably half a fresh garlic bulb in every dish! Great flavors and textures. The bubble tea is also a nice treat while waiting for takeout.
This Sichuan food can't be beat! I've been coming here for over two years now and A+A is so consistently tasty and the service is phenomenal. My partner and I share their Spicy Beef + egg rolls and they are one of our top Austin restaurants. Moving from Dallas to Austin we literally tried about 5 different Sichuan restaurants in Austin in search for the best Spicy Beef and A+A was the clear winner. They used to have more reviews online but moved locations a few months ago and must have lost the google reviews. If you haven't been here before, definitely give them a shot. You won't be disappointed.
This place has moved and now only offers takeout. We always loved the authentic Sichuan cuisine offered by them. Our latest order had crispy fried Sichuan Chicken (C25), salt & pepper pork short ribs(P7), beef in cummin sauce (B10), eggplant in garlic sauce (V14). Everything was excellent. The serving size was decent.
THIS PLACE! I LOVE this place! Our work goes here every Friday and the food is amazing. There are several dishes that we get, but i recommend the salt and pepper pork chop, the garlic green beans, crushed red pepper tofu, the list goes on! If you don't know what you want, ask the lady behind the counter, they are really helpful. The ambience in the restaurant isn't great, but thats okay because the food is delicious.
My girlfriend and I love getting the spicy fish and mapo tofu!! They are both so so tasty, and the portions are large enough that we usually get to have a full second meal from the leftovers. I would highly recommend this place
Excellent Chinese food. They have some great and unusual selections, such as bitter melon and spicy potatoes.

One of my favorite Chinese restaurants. I have to go fairly regularly. The spiced fish, lamb and Singapore noodles are exceptional. Most of the dishes are great. Spicy Sichuan food. They have a great lunch special as well.
Yum! Great food at a great price. Sesame chicken has a crisp crunch that I have never found that and the other restaurant. It is tremendously delicious and I don't know how they do it. But... You really should eat it as soon as it hits your table because the delicious sauce slowly softens the crust........ Mongolian beef is an even more delicious meal and must be tried. I cannot find the words to describe this taste sensation..... ..... Some people complained that it is rather drab inside, but to me, that is part of the charm - and the reason why the prices are so reasonable. Is large base with giant round tables that have the spinning lazy susan top - these tables and the plane decor make me feel like I'm back in Chinatown, New York City............. I think this would be a perfect place to host a groom's dinner if you are on a tight budget: the spinning tables would be fun, there is a large space to sit, walk, and chat, and you won't be disturbed...........customer service needs to be perked up a bit though. That's why I didn't give it five stars. When I walked in all seven employees glared at me. No one ever smiled and it felt very weird. Later though, when I left, three employees redeem themselves by waving at me and saying goodbye..... . Definitely give this great food a try.
Our regular spots for Chinese food were closed for remodeling, so we decided to try this spot and we were not disappointed. The food was tasty, the portions were large and the prices were very reasonable. I had the orange beef, which wasn't spicy, but had great flavor. My wife had the szechuan chicken and it was spicier and perfectly seasoned. The veggies we're crisp and provided great texture. We tried the egg rolls and they were spot on. Crunchy on the outside and tender on the inside. The pork was well seasoned. We also had a friend wonton appetizer which was very good as well. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because the server could have been more attentive, but overall the service was good. Will be back to try out more of the menu!

This review is based on the General Tso's tofu and egg drop soup. Soup is fine. I like that it's not ridiculously salty like some restaurants make it. The tofu dish was pretty terrible. The texture of both the tofu and the broccoli was like it had been prepared earlier today, and it was definitely overcooked. I ordered the dish with a level of hot spiciness, and it was not hot at all. The sauce itself was kind of separated - the oil and globs of sauce. The flavor wasn't horrible, but there was nothing good about it. Disappointed. We placed the order online and had no issues.

First time to give reviews for the restaurant, cuz this was so disappointed! After they moved to a smaller place, everything has changed, I bet it’s the worst Chinese food in Austin, maybe good enough for Americans. Sour spicy glass noodles has no Soup!! No green color for the vegetables, all turns out yellow. I ordered take out and had it immediately in the car for the freshness, but unfortunately I couldn’t help to throwing up after I got home. NEVER go back again.
This place is horrible, portion size is decent but the overall food is complete garbage. Avoid coming here at all cost. We ordered 7 dishes and they were all over salted and not fresh. Upon entering, we saw one of their workers scrubbing their shoes with a kitchen brush. Completely unsanitary. My whole family has a stomach ache the morning after we ate here. Horrible. As well as diarrhea.
Tried their food at a Pop-up at IBM. I ordered the scallion pancake and an eggroll. There were barely any scallions in the pancake. It was overcooked and barely edible. The eggroll was soggy. The other food combo didn't look appealing that's why I only tried the 2 items I ordered.
