Charles Smith is a great maintainence guy, friendly and good at his job. I've had good experiences with the staff here in general

The leasing staff at Corazon have all been absolutely amazing through my whole application process! Jeremy, Aubrey, and Hannah have all be so friendly and personable! I toured with Hannah while I was visiting last November and she was incredibly knowledgeable about the community and surrounding area! Moving from out of state is always stressful, but the team at Corazon has been such a joy to work with that I know I'm in good hands!

Overall, Corazon is the best place that I've lived in Austin so far. I want to specifically highlight the amazing staff. Hannah helped a lot with the contract and the entire move-in process. Ercilia prepared the apartment and made it feel brand new. Charlie did an amazing job handling rare maintenance requests promptly, responsibly, and with a great attitude.

Disclaimer at end. Corazon itself (which is what I am reviewing)- amazing, wonderful, perfect location, 0 problems in the 2 years I lived there. It truly made my Austin experience a million times better. Specifically Aubrey from the front office is an angel and magician and has saved me (getting packages when I’m not in town, fast responder to any issues, goes out of her way to get to know you). I started living at Corazon when she was a leasing agent (she was the one to sell me on my apartment) and have seen her work ethic push her to well deserved promotions. You can tell she cares about Corazon and is proud of her work. Also loved community manager (I believe her name is Angie). Clean apartments and very spacious. AMAZING location (there’s an exit onto E. 6th and it’s a 10 minute walk to downtown). Across the street from both a Whole Foods and Target. Easy walk to Caesar Chavez and more of the East Side. 5 minute walk to Jewboy Sliders. 10-15 minute walk to Nickel City and that area. 20 minute walk to Desnudo/Veracruz Tacos. Very vibrant community with lots of cool and awesome people. Amazing community events as well. Random discounts to local stores/restaurants. Routine pest control and maintenance responded to in usually 24 hours or less-thank you to Audrey and the amazing maintenance people. It’s easy for guests to come visit you because there is free parking for guests. Occasionally the closest elevator to you might break down but there are 2 others down the hallway since it’s a small building. I cannot recommend living here enough truly but I would be remiss if I did not explain the move out. Move in was awesome and renewing the lease was the easiest ever. However, after move out, Greystar, the company who owns Corazon, claimed absolutely unfair “move out charges”. After months of disputing and asking for evidence, they finally cleared my balance. I am definitely grateful that was cleared and this issue was settled but I do want to warn people this may be a problem in the future. During move out, I would take copious amounts of pictures as evidence that there was nothing besides the usual wear of someone living in an apartment.

I was recently granted the pleasure of checking out Corazon and was able to meet Jeremy Gentry, their new Community Manager. I was amazed with the overall communication and professionalism of the staff, and incredibly impressed with Jeremy's keen attention to detail. This was a wonderful customer experience:)

I’ve lived here for the past year and a half and I’ve been having the best experience. We just got a new property manager, Jeremy, and he’s already gone above and beyond for the community. I’ll definitely be renewing.

Like many others I am an Austin transplant. I was moving in a weeks notice and this place stood out. It is near East 6th which is great for young adults and professionals. Corazon is very clean and professional which I really do appreciate. Most of all I would like to give a special thanks to Hannah. As previously mentioned I had a week to move. She was extremely responsive and transparent about the move. She got me leased and moved in, in a matter of days. Her professionalism and customer service skills make her extremely easy to talk to and definitely a highlight of my moving in process.

Charlie is hands-down one of the best parts of living here. Every time something needs fixing, he shows up with a smile, a great attitude, and gets the job done right the first time. He’s always friendly, respectful, and clearly takes pride in his work. Whether it’s a quick repair or something more involved, Charlie handles it with professionalism and care. Huge thanks to Charlie for consistently going above and beyond, he really makes this place feel like home.

Charles, the service technician is great! Anytime I have had an issue he has been prompt to help and fix any problem while also explaining to me the root of what is going on. Very friendly and efficient!

This living complex is wonderful. I really enjoyed being able to get information from Hannah McKeating. Hannah has been great to work with and I would recommend her to anyone looking for an apartment in Austin. The apartment grounds are clean and very well maintained.

I am thoroughly enjoying my new apartment and would like to acknowledge the outstanding friendliness of everyone, which greatly contributes to my happiness. Hannah has exceeded expectations in ensuring everything is perfect, and her efforts are sincerely appreciated, especially considering my initial nervousness about moving to a new area. My apartment was clean and move in ready as promised. I’m also enjoying the fact that so many amenities are within walking (biking) distance and feel very safe here, which is extremely important to me in this day and age!! Looking forward to getting to know my neighbors smiling faces. Thanks again!

I’ve lived here for 2 years and I absolutely love it. The facilities are maintained so well, the units are gorgeous with lots of light and tall ceilings. There is so much to do in this area, I hardly ever have to leave the neighborhood. It’s very walkable. But one of the best things I’ve experienced here is the staff. They are very professional, friendly, and quick to respond. I never want to move anywhere else!

I have lived at this property for several months now, and have nothing but great things to say. Aside from the great location, what really makes this property great is the staff. The community manager Angie has been absolutely phenomenal, and has handled every situation with extreme professionalism & care. The maintenance team is top tier as well, as Charlie handles every issues that arises extremely quick.

So much better than a regular hotel! There was some noise in the middle of the night but it should be expected and they provide ear plugs. It’s on East 6th. The apartment was huge. High ceilings, massive kitchen, a record play with a stack of vintage vinyls, and really cool decor. Definitely would recommend.

Pricey hotel stay with no on-site human assistance. Communicating the arrival, complex check-in instructions, and everything related to the stay via text and phone (and no on-premises staff) obviously saves the owners money, but it opens up the transaction to too many possible missed or misunderstood communications. The room was clean and well-appointed, but considering that ownership has no overhead for on-site staff, the price for a one-night stay is not all that impressive. I only chose the guild on 6th is because this stay was a last-minute necessity, and this was the closest available room to the Austin airport on such short notice. My overall impression: Meh. I won't do it again and won't recommend it to friends.

Great spot but there are guys with very loud leaf blowers cleaning the sidewalk at 7am that wake you up on weekdays and weekends (2 or 3 times a week). So good luck sleeping in..

Good price and good location but a couple things negatively impacted my visit I think others should be aware of. One is that there is an enormous amount of construction happening directly across the street. This construction won't be complete until sometime in 2019. See the attached pic for the scope of this project - it's all you can see. This should be clearly mentioned during the booking process, but it wasn't. I understand this would cause the guild to lose business, but hearing loud construction noise at the crack of dawn even on the weekend is absurd. They're aware it's a problem because there were ear plugs placed right next to the bed. As someone who can't use ear plugs this wasn't helpful, I would much rather be notified before confirming my booking. There is a cockroach problem in this building as well :( they are enormous and fast and incredibly gross, especially considering I was in a studio and saw one right next to my bed. Overall I wouldn't stay at this location again.

I have lived in the Corazon for many years and have watched the decline of the property. I’ve witnessed it go from Greystar to Roscoe Properties and back to Greystar — and with each time it swapped hands, it degraded in attentiveness, customer service, and upkeep of the building. Pros: - The location cannot be beaten. - The maintenance crew is polite, professional, and resourceful. - The pool is decently maintained. Cons: - There is a revolving door of property managers, which means no one is ever actually accountable for their actions. The current property manager will ignore 90% of an email you send to her and will only reply to what she wants to, refusing to take accountability for most issues on the property. - Communication from the front office is poor. They’re quick to spam your email about some cheap giveaway or professional service they’re trying to upsell, but do not communicate important details about the building or things that impact you (i.e., when an elevator breaks down, pool closures, amenity closures, etc.). - There is an entrance on the property that has not been secured for two years since they implemented a new security system. I reach out to the property manager quarterly to ask when this entrance will be secured so that any stranger off the street cannot enter the property, but I’m often ignored. In my last communication with the property manager about this, I was told, “Thank you for your continued communication regarding the Elevator. I want to assure you that I have reviewed all of your emails and have discussed the matter with both the property owners and the fire department.” I was only able to get this response after pestering her to directly respond to my concerns because they were previously ignored. This issue has been outstanding since June 2023. Greystar does not care about their residents’ safety and is fine being negligent about building security. - There are regularly unhoused people wandering the building, likely due to the poor security of the property. - Don’t believe the website — the rooftop has been closed for over two years. I’ve been given the runaround on when they plan to reopen. I was told Fall of ’24, then Spring of ’25, and there has been no communication on the timeline or what’s preventing the roof from opening. - Greystar as a whole will pile on junk fees, and there’s no getting out of them. They’ll nickel and dime you at every opportunity ($25 valet garbage with no opt-out). I’ve heard multiple horror stories about exorbitant move-out bills, so make sure you request a walkthrough of your unit before moving out — they will not take accountability for anything. I’ve heard from friends who have moved out that they received bills years later, or in one case, the bill was sent to their former address at the Corazon. That bill went unpaid, was sent to collections, and impacted their credit — even though the property had their new address on file. - There are cockroaches in the building. There appears to be an element of luck as to whether your unit is affected, but I have had a few friends move out due to extreme infestations. - There is black mold in the building. I have at least two friends who have moved out or changed units due to mold. - Packages are regularly stolen. There is a locker system in place, but that just gives management another excuse to pass the buck on accountability. This is one of many examples where they’ll say, “There’s nothing we can do about this,” even though there are many steps they could take if they chose to be proactive. - The commons areas are typically dirty. Sure, the club room, the office and the route they take for tours looks great, but there’s also a stairwell with dog diarrhea that’s been there for 4 months.

Don’t live here. Owned by Greystar so they will never actually do anything for you besides ask for more money. Just look at all the negative reviews of people getting bills multiple years after moving out. How scammy can you all be? Least you all could have done was call people about this instead of sending an email. Thanks for sending me to collections…

I lived here for ~4 years under SMART Housing but moved out of state in March 2024. At the time, I was assured everything was settled. Now, over a year later, I’ve started receiving emails from the corporate office about new charges totaling hundreds of dollars. Despite the long gap, they’re threatening to send me to collections. This has been incredibly frustrating and feels deeply unprofessional, especially after being told my account was clear upon move out. I do not owe this money, and I’m at a loss for what to do.

**I never write reviews, but after recent events—being hit with unexpected move-out fees on top of having my entire security deposit withheld—I felt I had to share my experience.** Living at this apartment complex was incredibly frustrating from start to finish. The leasing office was practically unreachable; they rarely answered phone calls or returned voicemails, making even basic communication a headache. The condition of the building was also unacceptable. The hallways were constantly dirty, and my apartment (as well as several of my friends' units) had black mold in the vents. This is a serious health concern that was never adequately addressed. On top of that, there were cockroaches all the time—despite pest control coming out at least three separate times during my lease. Security was another major issue. The elevators were frequently broken, and packages were constantly being stolen. I personally had two packages stolen. When I asked to see the video footage from the package area, I was told the security camera had been broken “for a while.” No resolution, no accountability. Overall, between the unsafe conditions, nonexistent communication, pest and mold issues, and surprise move-out charges, I would strongly caution anyone considering living here. It was one of the most disappointing housing experiences I've ever had.

Do not live here! I moved into apartment 629 in August 2020 and ended up having to request an earlier move out in July 2021. In the 11 months living in these apartments, I experienced my car being broken into two times, a roach infestation, consistently broken elevators, and disgusting hallways with leaky ceilings. The roach infestation required me to end up throwing away over $2K worth of appliances and pay a professional roach service about $250.00 to do a full roach cleanout in my new home. I only added a few of the pictures, but, there were a lot more cases of roaches in my apartment. I should be reimbursed for all of the expenses I had due to the building's infestation, but the management will not do anything to compensate me. Additionally - the management attempted to convince me that both the break-ins and the roaches were both caused by me when in fact I had the roach issue the same month I moved in and the break-ins were caused by the garage always being open. I am so glad to finally be out of the apartment. The location is amazing, but, the headache that comes with the $2K a month rent is really not worth it.

Revolting black mold on the shower curtain. If this is how they clean every room I'm going to have a rough time sleeping tonight. Even if this is remedied, it is absolutely unacceptable - even as a mistake. Mold takes months to develop like that. Drain was also clogged. Edit: I was given a new, cleaner room after my complaints. I appreciate the helpfulness of the staff.
