Always excellent. I'm surprised this place isn't always packed, as the food and atmosphere is fantastic. Never been disappointed in any way. The octopus was stellar, every bite a pleasure. Our crudo was fresh and bright. The hamburger was simple yet profound, executed perfectly. The drinks were quality and delicious. If you haven't been, GO!

Laundrette in Austin absolutely delivers. Set in a former laundromat, the space is thoughtfully designed and ideal for a date night. The food was excellent across the board. The wood fired octopus was perfectly cooked, with just the right balance of char and tenderness. The redfish with broccolini was moist and flavorful, slightly salty but still very well executed. The pork belly with frisée salad was outstanding, hitting the sweet spot between smokiness and richness. The house cocktails were creative and well crafted. The mint julep was the only miss, slightly watered down and short on mint. That aside, the experience was excellent. We will definitely be back.

Food was all delicious and tasted fresh. We went as a large group and it was fun to sit at a table with a lazy Susan. Our server was so attentive to multiple allergies and dietary restrictions. Would highly recommend this place!

I’m not easily impressed but this place blew me away. We showed up at opening, hoping they weren’t too booked to fit us in. They happily seated us and then it began. The atmosphere, the vibe, the music, the staff, and then, my god…the food. The server let us know it was happy hour. Excellent. We kept ordering one dish after another. Cocktails were great too. The bartender was very animated and on point with her drinks. Our server was fantastic but also the attentiveness of everyone in house was top notch. Plates were cleared promptly, next menu items delivered to the table by whoever was available to do so, making the entire hour and a half we spent there flow seamlessly. Everyone was happy, friendly, checking in, and made everyone feel welcome as they restaurant filled up with more people and ambient noise. I will definitely go out of my way to eat here again and bring more friends next time. The burrata is a must.

I just hosted 30 people here for a 40th birthday party and it was amazing! perfect food, ideal timing/coursing, no noise issue, lovely atmosphere. Everyone loved it. Highly recommend coming here for dinner or hosting an event with their set menu.

Very kind servers and great food! Although everything was so good, the standout to me was the fried shrimp. We also got the sticky pork ribs, charred octopus, salad, and finished with the apple streusel sundae - which were all amazing too.

Had a fantastic lunch here. The service was amazing, super informative and friendly. All the food we ate was fantastic especially ths deviled eggs and marmalade brussel sprouts. A great stop for lunch when walking around lady bird lake. We didn't reserve and walked in, but apparently it gets super busy on weekends.

While visiting my daughter in Austin, we always love to try new restaurants, and this one didn't miss the mark. We had the most incredible dining experience at this restaurant! The food was absolutely delicious - every dish was perfectly prepared and beautifully presented. Our server was attentive, knowledgeable, and made excellent recommendations. The great atmosphere was perfect & comfortable. We tried many items on the happy hour menu. hope to come back soon.

Absolutely incredible pork belly appetizer and cauliflower shawarma and Brussels sprouts. And raspberry torte for dessert was scrumptious.

Launderette is such a delight in east Austin - providing vibes, tastes, and cocktails that hit all the marks of an establishment that truly deserves to have a high place within Austin as a town built for foodies. We absolutely loved everything we tried (snack bites, drinks, and dessert) during their discounted happy hour for specific items and food. The burrata was a shining star with its soft and flavorful medley of sweet and savory. Up there as well was a crowd favorite with an outstanding pork belly that melted in the mouth with such great tastes. Our party of four split two of the burgers (both at a cheaper price point for happy hour) and found them to be excellent choices that paired nicely with the side of fries (my personal favorite - as they were seasoned to perfection, soft, yet crunchy, and came with an aioli and another delicious sauce) as well as a side of brussel sprouts (that were good, but felt a little over hyped). Drinks were tasty and different combinations of elements compared to your usual watering hole. Service was top notch as well with friendly people consistently checking on us and providing wonderful recs and comments. Launderette is a great "go-to" and easily one of our favorites.

Launderette is one of the few places in Austin where the quality of the food and service is excellent, it’s a nice sit-down spot, and you don’t need reservations several weeks in advance. We went there for the second time the past weekend and enjoyed all the food. Something to note is the amazing barista that they have, paying extreme attention to detail and delivering excellent quality.

Such delicious food, and we had a pleasant experience. Went here with a couple of friends for an aesthetic brunch experience, and it’s one of the best places to take some cute brunch pics! The food is so fresh and tasty. Server (I think her name is Kiera/Kara) was extremely sweet and personable, loved her so much!

Launderette is such a good dining place. Came here for an early Friday lunch. Our server was so friendly and welcoming. She suggested great dishes. The bread is made in-house and phenomenal. It was perfectly crusted with a softness that makes it delightful to eat. I thought most of the dishes were well balanced and tasty. I had the lavender matcha oat milk latte. It was not overly floral or matcha-y. Glad I found this place on my stop in Austin. Thanks for a great meal!

Went here for lunch 4/23 & 4/24. It was busy but not to bad. No wait for counter seating. Rainbow Trout bowl was tasty. Small portions on the bowl but was well worth it. Perfect lunch meal. Iced lavender latte was extremely good. Price point is what you would expect from the Austin area. The tri tip sandwich was very good and worth it.

I highly, HIGHLY recommend this place. Everything was so good. First off, there’s plenty of parking in front and to the side of the restaurant (although the side parking may be for the liquor store next door). The spots are wide and could accommodate the huge SUV we rented. Our waitress, Selin, was superb. She was attentive and remembered our entire order, without needing to write anything down! We were a party of 4 with 3 dogs. We made a reservation for the patio because we had our dogs with us. We were seated at a corner table on the patio, which gave our dogs more space to roam while leashed and tethered to us. It was pretty hot and humid outside (we came here on November 7, 2024 at 1PM). There were lots of flies and mosquitos around. Thankfully, halfway through the meal, the waitress put out a mini fan on our table to keep the insects away from our food. For appetizers, we got: Striped Bass Crudo - the fish was fresh and flavor was great. A bit too tart for my liking, but still very good. My partner said this was the best, but he usually really likes very sour and tart foods. Burrata - very delicious. Had the right amount of sweetness from the glaze and great textural contrast with the nuts. Deviled Eggs - my favorite appetizer! The truffles really put this dish up there. Usually I find truffles gimmicky, but they worked really well here. Potato Chips (with cheese) - my least favorite appetizer. The chips were good but the dip tasted too much like cottage cheese for my liking. Fried Shrimp - this was SO GOOD! The shrimp were huge and cooked well. Not too much breading either. The accompanying sauce was good too. For our mains, we got: Fried Chicken Sammie - this was really good. The chicken was very crispy and moist and tender on the inside. The slaw on it wasn’t overpowering. And the accompanying sauce was good. Steak Sammie - I did not get to try this, but my friend said it was ok. Farro Bowl - This was the best dish we got. The salmon was perfectly cooked: flaky with a crispy skin. The faro was also a good textural and flavor contrast. Plancha Burger (protein style, buns on side) - At first, this looked mid (you can see in my photos). But, when I dug into the patty, the meat had such a good texture to it. And the flavor was amazing! I could tell that it wasn’t just a regular old frozen patty from the grocery store. The pickles and onions were also subtly tart and sweet, which I really liked. Our friend originally booked a brunch reservation here so she could try the birthday cake dessert, but the waitress said that’s only served during dinner. We didn’t blame her because they close up at 2PM for brunch, and it was already 2:15PM by the time we finished our entrees and asked about dessert. However, our waitress was so amazing!! She asked the chef and they said they could prepare the dessert for us because it was my partner’s birthday. So, she brought it out with lit candles and added it to our bill (she gave us a new one because she already printed out our bill). The price was fair for what you’re getting. Things ranged from $12-$22. Overall, the food was phenomenal and the service was amazing. I highly recommend coming here when you’re in Austin!

Launderette is a gem in Austin, offering delicious New American cuisine with a creative twist. From start to finish, the dining experience was fantastic, and the service was impressively quick without ever feeling rushed. The team knows how to deliver a top-notch meal efficiently, making it perfect for a leisurely dinner or a quick bite. The seafood dishes are a real highlight, with each plate thoughtfully prepared and bursting with flavor. We especially loved the spicy ceviche, which had just the right kick and beautifully fresh ingredients, and the fried shrimp, which were crispy on the outside and perfectly tender inside. These dishes are crafted with attention to detail that brings out the best in each ingredient. For dessert lovers, Launderette’s sweet offerings are not to be missed. The birthday cake ice cream sandwich was a memorable treat, combining nostalgia with indulgence in every bite. It’s the kind of dessert that makes you smile, and it was the perfect end to a great meal. Overall, Launderette is a must-visit for anyone looking to enjoy creative, flavorful food in a lively setting. With standout seafood and delicious desserts, this spot is one to keep coming back to.

Our dining experience at Launderette in Austin was nothing short of spectacular! We visited on a recommendation from a friend, and it far exceeded our already high expectations. From the moment we stepped in, we were captivated by the chic, vibrant ambiance that perfectly sets the stage for an unforgettable meal. The food was simply divine – each dish a masterpiece of flavor, presentation, and creativity. The attention to detail was evident in every bite, making it clear that the culinary team is passionate about their craft. The drinks were equally impressive, with a cocktail menu that dazzles with innovative concoctions and expertly mixed classics. Every sip was a delight, perfectly complementing the extraordinary food. The service was impeccable, with attentive and knowledgeable staff who enhanced our dining experience with their warmth and expertise.

Laundrette is an enjoyable place for brunch. It definitely gets busy and they squeeze a lot of tables in so it makes it feel busy and not as personal. The staff are kind, but busy so definitely make a reservation. Food came out pretty quickly and was tasty! We rate the burger 4.7/5, the pork shoulder hash 4/5, and the jammy egg 4/5. Our biggest takeaway away is that the portions are quite small. The burger did not come with sides and the jammy egg came with a singular egg. This may be typical for Austin, but the crowded atmosphere and the rushed staff encouraged more a diner atmosphere than a fine dining one. It felt confusing then if the hustle and bustle impersonal atmosphere equates to more fine dining take-your-time tapas style menu. I also wanted more laundromat or convenience store imagery from the decor if that's the story behind the restaurant. It felt like a missed opportunity to me. Parking was quite easy. There's a lot in the front that fits probably 20 cars and street parking around that's especially open on a Sunday. We may be back, but we'd probably opt for somewhere that committed to either diner atmosphere and diner portions or fine dining experience and fine dining price.

We came here for Sunday brunch and liked the light filled space and atmosphere. The food took over 35 minutes to arrive which felt slow. Between the two of us, we shared the asparagus Benedict (the flavour was great but the portion was very small and it only came with two tiny slices of asparagus), chicken sammie (chicken was a bit dry but still tasty) with a side of the frites (these didn’t feel fresh) and the blueberry pancakes (decent but not the best we’ve had).

Carly Coleman

Went here for brunch and the food was great. We got the pork hash, the chicken Sammie, zucchini bread, pancakes, pull apart bun, and frites. The service was as expected, nothing spectacular but he was patient and friendly. The space is small and we were in close quarters with other guests which I didn’t like too much because it feels like we are right on top of each other. We all had a hard time getting out without feeling like we were bothering the other people. Overall is a cute vibe and the good is decent price so I recommend trying it!

Somewhat quirky place on the east side of Austin. We went for a late dinner with no reservation and sat at the bar for a unique experience with a view of the open kitchen. The menu items were creative and for us presented some new ingredients, e.g. carta di musica and jardineira. We had the white bean hummus and the “lettuces” salad, both good. Staff was nice. The clentine granita dessert was amazing.

We were in the neighborhood and stopped by due to a previous recommendation. We visited on a Sunday early evening and it was not busy. We ordered drinks and shareable snacks. The hummus was good and the pork belly was a little tough, but had a good spicy flavor. I liked the use of the microgreens and mint. Our server was attentive the entire visit.

Launderette is a quaint and charming spot nestled in a lovely neighborhood with easy parking and thoughtfully curated decor. The ambiance is warm and inviting with great seating options that make it a wonderful place to enjoy a meal out. The cocktail menu has some standout options. The Malfy Spritz was especially delightful, light, refreshing, and reminiscent of an upscale lemonade with butterfly pea blossom for a floral touch. In contrast, Kay's Coupe is more gin-forward and great for someone who enjoys a stronger drink. Appetizers were a highlight. The pomme frites and house-made chips with pimento cheese were both solid starters. The pimento cheese was fresh and flavorful, a huge leap above store-bought versions. The sticky Brussels sprouts were slightly al dente, but the sauce and Parmesan made them very enjoyable. The striped bass crudo was delicious, with an intense heat that I personally liked, but the menu doesn't mention that it's very spicy, which could catch some people off guard. The burrata was excellent, especially paired with a huge piece of perfectly toasted bread. A delightful surprise was the tempura snap peas, crispy, unique, and full of flavor. The lettuces with citrus breadcrumbs were the only disappointment among the starters, as the citrus breadcrumbs made the salad heavy and soggy. For mains, the bistro steak had good flavor but was a little bit tough, likely due to the cut of meat. The Texas redfish tasted good, though it was a bit oily and the portion was smallish. Those wanting more seafood might prefer the whole branzino, just be mindful of the bones. The sticky pork ribs with hoisin sauce came in a generous portion and would be ideal for those who enjoy a sweet glaze. Desserts: the raspberry tart was a nice option for a light dessert and would appeal to fans of white chocolate. The carrot cake, however, was underwhelming. If you're expecting a classic carrot cake, this is not it. It’s more of a light surprise and misses the mark if you're looking for that rich, spiced texture and flavor of carrot cake. That said, the honey crunch served with it was absolutely amazing and the highlight of the dessert. The surprise of the evening was the decaffeinated coffee served on a beautiful tray that everyone appreciated, a perfect way to end the meal. Service was impeccable with kind and attentive staff. Launderette is a wonderful place to visit for a well-rounded and memorable dining experience.

My wife and I had dinner 7/19/25. Food tasted great but the shawarma cauliflower included more than a few yellow, past-expiration arugula leaves in the mix. No one should be served that. I pointed out the pile of them I had collected to the server and she said she'd "tell them". Nothing came of that and I'm disappointed, especially considering the supposed quality level of this establishment.
