The OG Vegan Food Truck in Austin!!! Love these folks and this place! Danielle and Mike are the coolest of folks around. Such Love! Can’t wait to get more Pumpkin Soft serve. Absolutely perfect. I am completely addicted to the Buffalo Burrito with Actually wood smoked tempeh drenched in Buffalo sauce all wrapped up with the perfect ingredients in a burrito. I like to get an extra garlic aioli on the side to pour on each amazing bite and add jalapeños. Completely addicted for years. Thank you guys for being so awesome. They also gave a bunch of other vegan goodies all around. Help support local bad ass businesses!

I asked what the best thing on the menu was there and the guy at the counter told me hands down the "Buffalo Bowl". I was a little skeptical at first, but it definitely didn't disappoint!! It tasted so good!! It was more like a buffalo chicken salad and it was piled high with fresh ingredients. It was so much, I couldn't even eat half of it, and for only about $12. I'm convinced they have the best vegan bowl in town!! It also had a chill vibe. I'm definitely going back!!

I absolutely freaking ADORE this place and am SO excited that they’re opening their own brick and mortar store! Their freeto burritos are the best. My husband, who is an omnivore (although I get his to eat vegetarian/vegan a lot) loves their burritos as well. The burrito is huge and insanely filling. The flavors are just.... ugh, I’m drooling just thinking about it. Honestly my fav vegan restaurant in Austin ♥️♥️♥️

I have the luxury of having the vegan yacht parked next to me all day! I’ve had everything in their menu, many times. So delicious. Highly recommend the freeto burrito! It’s my go to (this week). Last week it was the buffalo burrito! You just can’t go wrong. Excellent customer service. The family that owns it knows almost all of their customers by name. They are the sweetest! Their food is made with love. Eat it up. You won’t be disappointed!

A couple times a month, i drive 50 miles to buy myself an amazing meal from the fam at The Vegan Yacht. Their original recipe burritos and bowls are by far the best vegan fare in Austin, and maybe in the whole country! I’ve heard the phrase “made with love” but I never knew what was really meant by it until I felt the positivity, love & light that come from each and every bite of their delicious creations. Their burritos are “two meals.” If I have one for lunch, I usually skip dinner that night... they’re that big and that nutritious! I like to believe that I’m one of their most loyal fans & I love supporting their efforts.

Best Vegan tempeh burritos in Austin! I've tried almost the whole menu and the smokehouse burrito is my fave with the most delicious Mac n cheeze inside! The right amount of heat with the hot sauce. Grilled to perfection. I can always count on Danielle and Mike for a warm greeting like we're old friends so I know my food is made with love.

Woah! As a service plumber I travel and eat all around the city. I've had a burrito/ taco at most places and man! WHEN I TELL YOU IT'S GOOD! I had the Buffalo burrito with pickles (ask Mike to make it crunchy)! Seriously, this is my go to place now and will be making the extra drive to have a burrito for lunch.

Absolutely delicious. The burrito was perfectly pressed. Not too spicy, but I appreciate the extra side of hot sauce. I do wish there was an option for whole wheat wraps and brown rice, but other than that wouldn't change a thing about this meal! I wish they were open for longer hours!

The recent situation found us in South Austin with limited food options. This place hit the market 100%recommend. It was fast, close, and delicious. We will drive from Georgetown again just to eat here. The burritos were big enough for 2 or 2 meals for one. Great find.

This place has some of the best vegan burritos you can find in Austin. The freeto burrito is a classic, but they also have some other great options like a mouthwatering chilidog and Mac n cheese. The family who runs this truck is super friendly and always wonderful to visit. Keep in mind that the only places to sit are little outdoor tables with umbrellas, so if it's a particularly sweltering day you might want to get your food to go.

So here I am on the hunt for a great Vegan friendly restaurant to bring a few “vegan” friends when they come to Austin for a visit. Being that I’m a meat-eater, I haven’t the foggiest idea of where is a safe place for them to consume plants. Well I happen to mention my dilemma to a friend who recommended trying The Vegan Yacht. Once I entered the place I realized these folks where not your average vegans. They were nice and down to earth. After much deliberation on what to order I settled on the Frito Burrito Supreme. Much to my dismay, it actually tasted delicious. It had flavor and texture. I didn’t need to add any extra spices. My tastebuds were pleasantly and enthusiastically surprised. Even though it was healthy it didn’t taste veganish at all. I felt full without feeling overly stuffed. Congrats to this team for making vegan food taste like food. Normally I’d say that something good for being vegan. But this actually has to be placed on the same level as meat-based meals. I’d happily return again. P.S. I also tried the mango soft-serve ice cream. Highly recommend it as well.

This was my first visit at the vegan yacht and it will not be my last. The comida burrito was excellent. The sweet potato maple soft serve was one of the best soft serves I have had and it reminded me of cinnamon toast crunch..yum! Thanks for being here, vegan yacht!

Absolutely phenomenal. I've traveled all over the country as a truck driver and have eaten at ALOT of vegan spots over the years and I can safely say this was hands down my favorite experience. The food was incredible. I've been whole food plant based vegan for 10 years so it shook me to eat somewhere that was damn near entirely WFPB and you'd never even guess. On top of that, the Hare Krishna music, and spotting the Bhagavad Gita on a shelf made my day. The energy in the building is extremely calming - felt like home. Thank you guys for existing and doing what you do for the community. I wish you were in Dallas 😭

My friend took me here for the first time. It’s a cute, clean little restaurant with a variety of vegan products you can buy as well (marshmallow cream, Parmesan, hot sauce). The cashier was friendly and smiley which I always love. I ordered the Buffalo burrito bowl and it was SO delicious and nutritious! I loved it! It had carrots, spinach, tempeh, rice, cabbage, avocado, and yummy sauce. It was so so good! I will be back!!

Years ago I used to live within walking distance of The Vegan Yacht. It’s been a while since I found myself back in the neighborhood. Today I was in the area and decided to stop in for a buffalo burrito. It’s only gotten better since the last time I went. The burrito is massive yet still stayed together while I was eating it. The combination of the smokiness from the tempeh, creaminess from the slaw and avocado, and the spiciness from the buffalo sauce is 10/10. Maybe I’ll move back into the neighborhood…

This has got to be one of my favorite restaurants, love, love, love everything about it! My husband and I split a Comida Burrito and a Buffalo Burrito between us, both tasted very different but equally delicious & flavorful with very generous portion sizes and great prices. We love burritos and these have got to be the best ones we have had. The staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. The restaurant is clean, has a very cool and laid-back vibe and is beautifully decorated. 10 out of 10!

I always order online but the other day I was coming home from work and stopped in to get my partner and I something to eat. The two gentlemen working were very kind. It was nice walking into a restaurant and feeling welcomed and to have a great conversation! I feel that's very rare. The food is always amazing, the Frito burrito is my favorite, if you haven't tried it I highly recommend it, also then chips and queso... No words... they are that good!

Service was great! Employees are so friendly. Comida bowl was delicious. Queso was good but a strange - consistency and flavor was basically yellow daal soup. Freeto pie was okay; in my picky opinion the cheese tasted like Daiya brand which is not the best tasting vegan option out there. I would return for the Comida bowl and to try something else on the menu.

The BEST vegan queso/cheese. To die for! This was a wonderful little gem that we found in AUSTIN. All Vegan is NOT created equally. My oldest sister has always been skeptical of trying Vegan foods but we finally convinced her and this was the first place she tried....she fell in love and is actually considering becoming Vegan with myself and our younger sister. The people are extremely patient and friendly and just all around wonderful people. They make the food with excitement and joy and that makes me happy to eat it. Also awsome prices for the portions. My wife and I have been on a search for healthier food choices and we gave this place a try, so happy we did! This is my second time here to eat the Smokehouse Burrito. The smoked tempeh, slaw, mac in cheese, pickles and the crunch of the grilled tortilla has me wanting more. Such a great combination of flavors, this is a must try. Just tried the Freeto Burrito Suppreemo, so good but still like the Smokehouse Burrito better 😃 It also has a chill vibe, friendly staff and a great selection of groceries to take home. Amazing food, service and trustworthy employees! I went there for my birthday to try their award-winning ‘Freeto Burrito”. Not only was it tasty, but very filling! (I could only finish half, so for the quantity and quality you get, it definitely is worth the price. What I was most impressed with was their trustworthiness. I left a valuable item at their restaurant sitting there for a couple hours, and when I returned, they kept it safely with them. And to top it off, they gave me a free birthday soft ice cream! I highly recommend this place if you’re looking for great service, food, atmosphere, and above all, a trusting set of individuals. Thank you! 🙏🏽

This is my go-to restaurant when I'm short on time and ideas on what to eat. Their burritos and bowls are super delicious and vegan! I ordered the Cantina Burrito which has a lot of traditional Mexican ingredients.

My friend has told me about the vegan hot dogs that are made here but as soon as I saw the Burritos I had to try the Buffalo burrito. I also got chips and Queso and while the queso lacked the creamy texture I'm used to I did enjoy it very much. This is all Vegan and plant based so it was interesting tasting the really good food there. I don't like to compare plant based to meat or dairy based because veggies alone can be really good on their own. But the cooks were very cool and laid back but super friendly. They kept working while taking our order and they never made it seem like you were attended to. The Buffalo burrito definitely had kick when you give it the sauce and it was filling too! Definitely coming back to try the bowls next!

I dare you to find a better vegan burrito. There are a few really good vegan tacos to be found around town, but this little family owned and operated trailer consistently cranks out some of the tastiest, most photogenic plant-based burritos you could ask for.

The freeto burrito is that girl ✨🌯💫 Honorable mentions include the chili dog, freeto pie, chili con queso, and Mac & cheese. That being said, the Mac is more healthy tasting than other vegan Mac’s I’ve had in the city. Which I appreciate on days I feel like eating more whole foods. Vegan yacht is delicious, but beware of the bowls if you don’t like a whopping serving of cabbage and carrots. I was expecting a bowl akin to Chipotle, where the rice is the star of the show, but at the Yacht it’s more of a salad. I’m sure some folks love it but that wasn’t for me personally. I do wish it was called a salad instead of a bowl, but honestly I should have read the description instead of assuming. The service is always amazing. Every staff member I’ve encountered is super sweet and friendly. I love that they sell soy curls, other dairy free sweets, and munchies for days. I moved into the neighborhood last year and the yacht has been a staple for me since transitioning to being vegan.

Great food & staff! I'm not even vegan or vegetarian, but I still find myself craving this place. I usually get the freeto pie burrito or the smokehouse burrito. Haven't tried much else yet. The smokehouse burrito is so interesting amd good - it tastes like you grabbed all the sides from a BBQ restaurant (macaroni, coleslaw, tempe (or jackfruit?), bbq sauce - and wrapped them in a perfectly grilled tortilla.

This was an absolutely great vegan burritos for my family and me. Very fresh ingredients with homemade tempeh much, much better in taste and texture that I’ve had before. Added bonus: the men’s bathroom was well decorated and very clean. For one the atmosphere is so welcoming and the workers are so attentive and informative, they gave my partner and i advice on how to make our own franks! The food is a 10/10 for the time it took and the quality. The burritos held together and the chips and queso is absolutely amazing. I was going to gatekeep this spot but they DESERVE more recognition and praise for it being two workers making things by hand. They were so chill and helpful with explaining the menu items. The price was $50 for two humongous burritos, frito pie, and chips and queso. The quantity of the food is enough for more than 1 servings. Thankfully for this location it has a convenience store right by it so we went to get us some drinks for less than 4 min and came back the food was all done. The video is fast so you may have to slow it down to truly see the surroundings because i tried to not get the employees faces without their permission.

This place is amazing! My partner and I heard about it from Bouldin Creek Cafe. It was worth the trip south. The burritos are very good. We ate both vegan so to us, the Smokehouse Burrito was hands down the best. The creamy Mac and Cheese was perfect! However, we also tried the famous Freeto Burrito and it was solid. It reminded me of summer Frito pies and Taco Bell (in the best possible way). We definitely will be back! It’s a solid burrito and good vibes from the staff!

My wife and I stopped here on our little trip through Austin and we were blown away! We got the Buffalo Burrito, The Frito Pie Burrito and the Chili Dog. All of which were absolutely outstanding. The parking situation is a little strange because the share a parking lot with an English Restaurant and a Beer/Wine/Kombucha store that has signs about the parking out front. YOU CAN PARK THERE DESPITE THE SIGNS. We asked and both establishments are sharing the parking. Anyway, back to the food. It’s excellent. I would recommend the buffalo burrito if your looking for some fresh and light. If you want something hearty their dishes with the chili will fill you up for sure! Definitely coming back next time we are in Austin!

This is a great little restaurant connected to a an equally great little shop for unique spices and foods. The restaurant staff were incredibly friendly and the service was fast. I ordered one of the healthiest vegan burritos I've ever had. Vegan burritos can often be vegan but still full of bad things -- not necessarily at the Vegan Yacht though. Lots of veggies and it was huge. Excellent value for money! My only complaint (hence the 4 stars) was that there was no water available. You could only get water by buying bottles of it from the fridge. Pretty much every where you go now has free water and it feels especially off-brand for a vegan restaurant not to have water available. Otherwise it was a very pleasant experience.

I really enjoy Vegan Yacht and have been going here for a few years. I understand inflation is hitting us all, but I can’t say I’m not disappointed by how much they increased their prices. The Freeto Pie bowl used to be $9, it’s now $14. I understand a dollar or two price increase, but a $5 increase for a bowl of fritos, vegan chili, avocado, and a sprinkle of red onion and lettuce (that you barely get full from) just isn’t worth that. This place used to be an affordable spot to grab a quick bite, but no longer. As goes for most food spots in Austin now.

The employees were cool and welcoming. The food was good, but the smokehouse burrito lacked seasoning and kinda bland. Their attached market is well-stocked with vegan essentials, drinks and snacks. I'll return and try something else because they're a local business; we need to keep the efforts of small businesses thriving.

We've been wanting to try this place for a while now. Finally checked it out and very glad we did. Had the Freeto Burrito Supreemo. Delicious, but a bit of a one note dish. I was bored with the taste as I ate the second half. But the owner mentioned that a lot of people like to split two different burritos with someone. Probably a great idea! But this place is great because it's all vegan and all organic. That's rare and I appreciate it so much.

Delicious buffalo bowl, though too saucey for me. I think if there were less sauce, then the natural deliciousness of the ingredients could shine through more! Ample tempeh and avocado pieces which I appreciated. I would come back to try other dishes. The restaurant is at the back of Maha Market. They have a charming set-up - nice place to grab a quick lunch or hang out with friends.

Food was ok. To me a 3/5 is worth trying once because it may suit your taste. Burrito felt like it was meant for people watching their calorie intake as it filled me but I got very little satisfaction or enjoyment from it. Struggled to finish burrito as it felt very bland. Atmosphere is what you would expect from a trendy vegan spot in Austin. Good casual spot. Service was great and nothing else I can say.

It was good. But definitely something overhyped in my opinion. I got the frito burrito looking at the reviews on this app, it wasn’t anything mind blowing. Also the burrito bowl was good, just not for me. It was a little heavy on the jalapeños, which kind of collided with the seitan flavor. After a couple bites, it did get a little too much for me to finish it because it was too citrusy. I would recommend the burritos more but the bowls did have alot of veggies and pickle flavor if thats what you are looking for! I did like what I got however I have had better vegan food elsewhere. A little pricy for a burrito, however, it is all organic and non GMO. You get what you pay for here. Staff were also really nice and hardworking!

Cute restaurant connected to the vegan shop. The people were nice. And that’s why it’s getting 2 stars, instead of one. The food was the worst vegan food I’ve ever had. Side note, I’ve eaten at many vegan restaurants. There was hardly any spices in the food, very bland. The vegan hot dog was the worst one I’ve ever had. The nacho “cheese” was grainy and super bland. The cookie was good.

To eat here you must really love Cole slaw! I ordered a buffalo bowl and it was extremely disappointing. I thought I was getting a nice ratio of rice, vegetables, and avocado; I decided not to use the vegan protein and hoped for a little extra rice instead. When I received my bowl it was basically Cole slaw; 90% shredded cabbage and shredded carrots, 9% avocado and spinach, 1% rice. I went up to the employee and asked where the rest was. He then pointed out to me if you grains, it was apparently mixed in, but it was so minimal you seriously could barely see it. I asked for more please and was told I had to pay extra. This was offensive considering the lack of rice to begin with as they were skimpy with it. I truly wish I could get my time and money back from here. I’m extremely shocked at the reviews. Maybe vegan burrito lovers go here and I bet the burrito is better because that bowl was a mistake and laughable. This was my first, and now last, visit here. Dear owner: You can write me back and try to justify what I was served but I’m telling you right now…. I was served a large portion of coleslaw. My friend felt the same way, I’m sorry this review hurts your feelings as a business owner, but maybe just take the feedback and roll with it and do your best to improve the food and service and not argue with the customer unless you served me today? I was not served 1 to 1.5 cups of rice that is absolutely not accurate!! And I have a friend that can also write a review if you’d like more feedback as she was appalled and unsatisfied too.
