Loved this coffee shop! The taco and avocado toast was delicious.
Stopped here for breakfast and coffee. We had the PB&J açaí bowl and breakfast tacos, both of which were great. I personally like there to be more granola in my bowls than what they served but that’s just a personal preference and what they serve here is healthier overall. I ordered a latte which was very good flavor wise, though it was barely warm. I’m not sure if this is how they serve it here or not, but it didn’t bother me enough to take off a star.
Bright little coffee shop located in a bustling intersection in downtown Austin within a couple blocks from the convention center. They have a long service counter, several tables, and a small snack bar. There is paid street parking and a train station nearby.
I love everything about this place. The location is perfect, and the food is consistently high quality. A huge shout-out to Manny for being so amazing and making the experience even better. I highly recommend this place.
the best breakfast taco i’ve found in austin!! super friendly staff, lots of food and drink options, and immaculate vibe. i’m here at least once a week for a breakfast taco and drink tons of vegetarian/vegan options. and you can’t beat the 2 tacos + a drip coffee deal for $10!
Grabbed a vegan bite here while in Austin and I was not disappointed. I was pleasantly surprised by the texture and flavor of the poke bowl. Plus the matcha was delicious. The bright and airy mood and plentiful seating make it the perfect place to study or take a lunch break.
I normally eat breakfast from this restaurant. I place my order on UberEats and wait for it to get delivered. I've places several orders and not once have I been disappointed. The acai bowls are large, with a lot of fresh fruit and are so filling. My second favorite go to is the BST Toast. It's 😍 Amazing ! I love how flexible this restaurant is. With each item, you have several options to add or remove fruit, toppings or sides. Chiefs kiss!😙🤌🏻
Revolución in Downtown Austin is a great pit stop. Free parking downtown on Sundays and I use to organize a lot of events at Revolucion. (See pix) Be careful of the parking signs though. I got towed once as I didn't know that there's valet parking only from 4.30PM onwards. Love the food there too!!
Excellent Coffee and food. The place gets just a little loud when it’s full, but still vibrant and worth the visit! Excellent coffee drink alternatives and plant based/veg options making it a solid choice for gathering groups.
I had a delicious esquite bowl and vitality juice. Both tasted great. They had a big bowl of water for my dog, thank you for being dog friendly. Very friendly helpful staff.
Ordered hot vanilla latte on multiple occasions while staying nearby and enjoyed all experiences. The bean, the barista, and the seating area where all fantastic.
As a visitor to Austin last week, I wanted to find a coffee place that was chill, interesting, had good coffee, and close to where I was staying for the week. Found it! Cold brew was excellent - detected hints of orange, and what I learned was watermelon - different, but what I ended up not enjoying the first time, really enjoyed the second, and third. Breakfast Taco's were amazing, and the fresh banana cut on my oatmeal hit the spot. Appreciate the graciousness, and opportunity to enjoy your coffee.
Great food, friendly service, and chill atmosphere. I had some of the vegan tacos and they were delicious. They also have great coffee, real Macha tea, and cold pressed juices.
Every time I’ve come to Revolución, I’m greeted by a friendly person at the counter, the tacos are fantastic, and it’s some of the very best coffee in town. I’m so happy they added a location in Austin - as a serious “buy local” gal, I say this regional chain counts. They’ve made the interior feel spacious and cozy at the same time. 5/5 no notes.
As a downtown resident for the past two years, this is our go-to coffee spot. Great coffee and we love the breakfast tacos..fresh, clean ingredients. An awesome environment for working / socializing, and the staff is so warm and knowledgeable.
Hello! I wanted to come on here and give Revolución a review because everyone deserves to know how great it is!! They have delicious food, a nice and clean atmosphere, and fun drinks. Have you heard about the $5 taco + coffee combo?? It's my favorite and such a good deal!
I dropped by Revolucion with two friends last Saturday. Drinks and food were excellent...but the folks that work there are the reason l'il go back. So friendly and welcoming. When they found out my birthday was that week, they showered me with birthday wishes and congrats! So nice. I'll be back soon.
We were torn between multiple items on the menu but ended up going with the 22 oz Bone In Ribeye and the Salmon. We were not disappointed by either at all. We plan to come back soon to try some of the other options! We were here for our anniversary and even got a complimentary dessert. 10/10 recommend!
We had a fantastic dining experience tonight. Mallory, our server, was outstanding—friendly, attentive, and his recommendations were spot on. I ordered the bone-in ribeye and my girlfriend had the ribeye; both steaks were cooked perfectly and full of flavor. The sides were just as impressive—the loaded mashed potatoes and asparagus were delicious and complemented the meal perfectly. Everything from the service to the food exceeded our expectations. We will definitely be back!
Young Steakhouse went above and beyond for our wedding party of 24 people. We visited on a Thursday night and were set up in the back room with Sam and Sammy as our waiters. Both gentlemen provided incredible service—quick to assist with orders, offering great recommendations, and ensuring the flow of the evening was perfect. We all ordered a wide variety of dishes. Some of the appetizers I particularly enjoyed were the bone marrow, crab cakes, and pork belly. My favorite appetizer was the Wagyu meatballs. For my entrée, I chose the ribeye steak, which was cooked to perfection and tasted incredible—definitely one of the best steaks I've had in downtown Austin. As a thoughtful gesture, our waiters treated us to a little chocolate cake to celebrate our wedding after dinner, which was very kind of them. I highly recommend Young Steakhouse for dinner, whether you're dining with a small or large party. We will definitely be back!
✨ A Must-Visit Happy Hour in Austin! ✨ Vince Young Steakhouse truly delivers a heartwarming experience. The cocktails are absolutely delicious, and the staff couldn’t be friendlier or more professional – they make you feel right at home. The Happy Hour steak special is unbeatable: a perfectly cooked, flavorful steak with crispy golden fries for just $10! Generous portions, incredible taste, and such great value. If you’re in Austin, you must try this spot. Between the warm atmosphere, top-notch service, and mouthwatering food, Vince Young Steakhouse makes Happy Hour unforgettable. Highly recommend!
Me and husband ate here for the first time celebrating our anniversary. The evening was great. We made it early for our reservation and waited a few minutes before being seated. Our waiter Scott was great and provided great service. I ordered the filet mignon with the scallops and the bacon Mac and cheese. The steak was tender and had flavor. The Mac and cheese was so delicious and it was enough to share with my husband. I forgot the name of the dessert we ordered but it was so good and big enough for the both of us that we had to take it to-go. If I’m ever in the mood for steak, I’ll definitely make a trip to Austin and dine in again
The New York steak season is so tender and delicious, probably one of the better ones I've had in Texas. The Pork Belly app was amazing the honey and pepper sauce was unexpectedly good. The negative was that the corn and bacon side was bland and 2 out of the 4 creme brulee were over cooked but full of flavor. If I'm in Austin again I'll be stopping by again!
Vince Young’s was amazing. I’ve had great steaks in many different cities. Vince Young’s produced one of the best Filets that I have ever had. The flavor from the grill was perfect and it was so tender it was like eating a cloud. It was cooked to perfection and the blue cheese topping was an added bonus. Their side items we all superb and nothing went to waste. I especially enjoyed the asparagus and brussel sprouts. My wife and kids ordered dessert and by the way they devoured them, they must have been good. The ambience was plus as we had no problem hearing each other speak and it felt small although it is a big restaurant. The lighting is dimmed everywhere except the table which felt cozy. The owner of the restaurant came to our table to check on us which made us all feel special. If I’m ever in Austin again, I will definitely be back. Well done Vince Young’s. Your presentation, owner, chefs and staff are all top notch.
Alright, buckle up coffee lovers, because I just stumbled upon a caffeinated wonderland! Forget your average cup of joe, this place is serving up experiences. First off, the food? Seriously good. Like, "I'm coming back for seconds" good. I dove headfirst into their Toro Latte, and let me tell you, it was a flavor fiesta in my mouth! But wait, there's more! They've got homemade tamales that are basically a warm hug in food form. Seriously, ditch your diet plans for a minute and indulge. And for the love of all things crispy and delicious, snag a side of their potatoes. Trust me on this one. Basically, this coffee shop is the real deal. Go check it out, and when you do, tell 'em April sent ya! You won't regret it. 😉
Quiet pricey but still okay considering the healthy options available. Those healthy breakfast options were not that easy to find in Austin. Easy location and great variety of options. Coffee was really good!
Food was good. My group had variety of appetizers, entrees, sides and desserts. I polled everyone and was given “thumbs up” across the board. My son said his burger was a little well done but the flavor made him forget about that quickly. Service was just so-so. I’m hesitant to complain as I know being a server is not easy. I did feel that our server was having a bad day. Not sure if it was staffing issue or backup in the kitchen or combo of both? The atmosphere kind of lended to my comments about the service. It was quite busy inside and it also was loud. Overall I’d say my rating was closer to 3.5 than 4.
Forgettable coffee and lukewarm service. The staff weren't rude, but they seemed totally checked out. It’s a fine spot if you just need a quick caffeine fix, but don't expect a warm welcome.
Vince Young Steakhouse is closing forever soon. This review is irrelevant to any reader and to the restaurant itself, serving instead as a short and unhappy eulogy written and posted for my own satisfaction. The star rating on this review should frankly be ignored, and was only chosen because 1. I can’t post this without picking an option and 2. three stars is as close to the 🫤 emoji as I can get on a star rating. Before they closed, they had a happy hour from 5-7pm every weekday. $10 Steak Frites… I went more than a few times with friends of mine in college. Not a cheap meal by any means, but cheap for steak and a lot of fun. When I saw the unfortunate news that shortly VYS would close forever, my first thought was “I *have* to go to that happy hour one last time.” The food was fine, the service was fine, the vibe was fine… but the thought of that beloved happy hour being gone forever was painful to hold. I call on Saturday asking, “Will the happy hour go on as usual this Monday?” and receive assurance that yes, we’re still doing $10 Steak Frites, come any time between 5 and 7. I arrive Monday at 5pm: the bar area where Happy Hour is normally offered has been shuttered for a last-minute private event. No trouble, surely I can order off the happy hour menu from another part of the restaurant… or perhaps not. The wait staff apologetically informs me that Happy Hour can only be served at the bar, and I’ll just have to come back another day before they close. I’m unfortunately busy Tuesday evening, but am nonetheless glad to hear that happy hour went off without a hitch. Wednesday rolls around. I call at 3:00pm to confirm: “Will Happy Hour be served this evening at the usual time?” I’m reassured that yes, of course, happy hour will be served. Come by anytime between 5pm and 7pm. I arrive at 6:30pm. I walk in. I sit down. Wait staff helpfully reminds me that there will be no Happy Hour today. “What? That can’t be possible, I called at 3:00pm to confirm. I’d come on Monday as well, this is my second time here this week…” They were apologetic. A decision had come down and was shared on Instagram shortly after my call that day: due to the impending closure, there must be no Happy Hour. Genuine apologies, true sorrow and embarrassment. An offer to comp a cocktail as an apology. I appreciated that gesture, but I didn’t want a free cocktail. I can afford cocktails. I didn’t want to eat steak frites either, not really. I can afford steak frites, if I really wanted to have them one last time I could’ve bought them at full price. If they’d offered free steak frites, I wouldn’t really have felt satisfied in the way I was hoping to be satisfied. My nostalgia was (and still is) for the Happy Hour itself. For a little two hour window where this nice restaurant downtown offered a young man and his friends in college a chance to have good food at a food price. But I’m not in college anymore, I’m getting less young every day, and the Hour is no longer Happy. at Vince Young Steakhouse, the Hour will never be Happy again - and a full three days before the final hour of any kind, as they prepare to close forever on Saturday. Goodbye, Vince Young Steakhouse. Like with most experiences in my life, I didn’t realize when my “last time” with you would be until after it had already happened.
Just wanted to update this review - I still would give it the 2 stars based upon that night, however, I wanted to add that I sincerely appreciated the owner reaching out, and listening to the issues we had - and trying to correct it. She truly couldn't apologize enough - and it meant the world to me. We were thinking of checking out Vince Young's for a long time, but usually go to other steakhouses with our fav being Capital Grille. It was my son's birthday so we decided to try something different. The restaurant was pretty empty and our waiter was very knowledgeable- which works well for me since I have some major food restrictions as does my son. We ordered the pork belly and bone marrow appetizers as well as the fresh 'parker house' rolls (the bread of the night). The rolls were not what I would consider parker house, and were too yeasty - I'm big on bread and love fresh bread, but not these rolls. The pork belly was juicy and delicious - my son and husband really enjoyed it. Wish I could say the same for the marrow. It was not charred or cooked enough and didn't spread well or have a good consistency. It also didn't have much flavor other than salt (which was heavily used on all the food). My husband had to go and find our waiter - he didn't come up to make sure all was well when the food arrived. He took it back and had it broiled some more, but it still was not good. We ordered the hand cut fries (they came out hot - and were good, but also too salty), the tomahawk for two (very fatty and grisly - and not in a good way - plus way salty), and I had the salmon. The steak - for that price, should have been better quality and cut at the table. The salmon was ok - would have preferred with skin crisped and on, but again it was salty and when a menu says 'red pepper' sauce, I assumed it would be roasted red pepper, not HOT pepper. The heat in the sauce overwhelmed the taste of the salmon. Dessert - my son is very picky and didn't want the raspberry on top of his creme brulee, and wasn't sure about the grand marnier either - but we were told that the liquor was very light and the fruit could be removed . Honestly - had the dessert items been updated on the webpage, we may not have even gone because none sounded great to me and my son just wanted a normal creme brûlée. Unfortunately, There were raspberries in the custard, which should not have been there - and he was NOT happy about it. My husband got the frozen banana pudding, which he liked, but I didn't. The waiter did apologize for the mix up on the creme brûlée and comped both desserts - and overall was good other than having to find him. One other note, good music - but way too loud.
