Great wine and atmosphere. A must-go-see and experience. They have 2 locations! Will be back!
Had a great night relaxing, tasting great wine, and listening to nice jams. Great place for wine tasting, got a Sunday discount!
Beautiful art and atmosphere in general, amazing wine selection, and helpful staff. Love this place!!!
Great atmosphere! Love the concept and customer service (Amanda was super helpful). Will definitely be back the next time I visit Austin.
Amazing place, great selection of wines, friendly staff. Need more stars for this world class service winery
Barbie Melissa was great! Such a cute little experience
Perfect place for an evening happy hour! Great vibes. Need more sweet wines!! But great place
Fun spot to hang out. I would love it if they could put even just 2 beers on tap for people that don't like wine. If they did we would come back as regulars
Great wine selection, relaxes atmosphere( beautiful, open patio, and friendly staff. 10/10 would recommend!
What a great wine bar! They have a huge selection and the atmosphere is perfect. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable, will definitely be making this a regular stop when downtown Austin!
Wow! This is one of the coolest wine bars in downtown Austin. The atmosphere, hospitality, and delicious wine-on-tap make for a great night out. This place is a must-see for anyone visiting downtown Austin!!
If you like or love wine this is the absolute best place in the city to go! The owner and staff are very knowledgeable. Great place to chill and relax and get a bite of authentic Italian cusine also.
Really cool spot with wines on tap. Wednesday’s with live music and 1/2 priced wine. They also have a nice outdoor patio too. I will definitely be back here again.
Visited while on vacation because I love wine. I absolutely love it and wish there was on in Florida. The music, the food truck the vibes are immaculate Definitely will be back next time I'm in town
One of the best places to go for drinks. Huge selection of wine on tap, great space, and even better company. Would highly recommend if you’re from out of town or a local looking for a glass 🍷
This place is awesome! Wine, on tap, who could ask for anything else!? The staff are very friendly and helpful, and the atmosphere is great. Definitely recommend!
The best hostess for a wine bar ever! Amanda explained the process and selections. Will be back with groups of friends soon.
My new favorite spot!! Wine on tap? Come on. Great location! Perfect for a date spot, wine o’clock with the girls, parents in town, karaoke (Wednesday & Sunday), whatever!
This is the best wine bar in Austin! 56 taps of all different types of incredible wine. Amazing atmosphere and great owners.
This is a great date spot, comfortable couches and self serve wine. Outside there's an Italian food cart that is delicious. I highly recommend!
Huge selection of wines on tap and the staff is super friendly. The food truck out back is amazing as well. Love this place.
There is an amazing staff here, and they’re very helpful and amiable. Would definitely recommend this place to others looking for a wine bar that really cares and appreciates their clientele :)
You pay by ounce and they have specials every Wednesday's. You also get to enjoy live music and board games. So come and become a wine connoisseur!
Wow this place is cool. It was actually fun to poor my own wine. Looking forward to getting back out here. I love the vibe and the fact that there's open space outside.
This is one of my favorite hangouts in Austin. The wine selection is vast (understatement) so there’s something for every palette. Sammy and his dad are some of the kindest humans and always smiling (through their masks)! Definitely one of the best additions to the Austin scene this year and a highlight of 2020. 🖤
Love that they have a huge wine selection ON TAP! Love going here with my boyfriend and our pup since it’s so close from our apartment! ❤️ Also The Heel of The Boot has bomb a***authentic Italian food!
This place has half off wine on Wednesday and it’s a really fun atmosphere with live music and interesting art to peer at while you sip on your wine. It’s a bit more of a patty atmosphere versus romantic which is something to keep in mind.
This wine bar is so innovative and welcoming. This establishment is very clean. I’ve seen employees sanitizing doors and the wine stations at least every 10 mins. Thank you Amanda for your amazing customer service. Wine and Italian food, what more can you ask for???
BEST SERVICE. DRIVER. PERSON. EVER. Benny is amazing and perfect! He made us feel so welcomed and made this experience everything! So nice. So kind. Absolutely amazing! We loved every second because of him!
Great place to stop in! They have a very sunny patio outback with an Italian food truck (I didn't try it this time but it looks good!), well spaced out tables, and a large inside taproom. The process of getting your card is super easy, though I don't think it was explained that there is some type of cutoff point for the card - I'm still not sure what it is, because the cutoffs for myself and my two friends were all different. Great selection of wines! I was very happy with just about everything I tasted. Staff seemed light that day, but were helpful when we first arrived. Also, Happy Hour specials every day (including weekends), which is pretty great! Highly recommend dropping by if you're in the downtown/east 6th area!!
Really great atmosphere, drink selection and indoor/outdoor seating.
Wanderlust Wine Co is one of my favorite spots in Austin. The atmosphere and ambiance are absolutely amazing. It's so unique that you can try different wines on tap, so you can have your own tasting at your own pace. There is always live music creating the best ambiance. Art covers all the walls and supports local artists. Their food truck is also spectacular and pairs well with all the wines. You most definitely should head here for your next night out!
I love Wanderlust Wine Company! It’s such a fun environment, and they have so many excellent wines to choose from! The downtown location is the perfect spot to hit up if you’re transitioning your night from the east side to hanging out downtown. If you haven’t been to the new Eastside location, it is seriously one of the coolest buildings in Austin. There is so much local art there!
Wanderlust Wine Co. is one of my favorite spots in downtown Austin. The wine on tap concept is different and gives you the freedom to taste a variety of great wines at your own pace. The owner, Sammy, is super positive and upbeat whenever I see him. I also love the Italian food concept, The Heel of the Boot, on the patio. It's the perfect pairing of food & wine. Highly recommend!
This is the absolute best place to try wine in the city!!!! The staff is extremely kind and knowledgeable. They have a special talent for guiding you to what you will enjoy the most. Everything I have ever tasted here has been beyond superb👌 On top of that, the atmosphere gives you a wonderfully retro California vibe down to the indoor/outdoor concept with a grass floor on the patio. The string lights enhance the feeling that you are at a beautiful wedding in the valley while all the excitement of Austin’s 6th st is just steps away!!!! It is in the heart of everything that is TRUE Austin. Even the building itself is celebrated with artistry from the people that keep this city what it is. There is nothing more beautiful in its strangeness of Austin than Wanderlust Wine Co. Please don’t miss this once in a life time experience and come check it out!!! ❤️💛💙
Lovely wine bar!!! Great outdoor and indoor seating. A nice Italian food truck too and so many wines on tap. It’s so fun to try them all.
*updated to 5 stars based on the owner's justifications below :) * Super chill spot for any wine lover. They even have some draft cocktails for those who don't love wine. The wine adds up quickly $$, but the vibe of this place is super unpretentious and easy going... unlike most of Austin these days. They're often sold out of popular wines like prosecco and rosé, but good selection otherwise. The bathrooms are quite rough and need major TLC (toilet loving care). Still highly recommend!
Wanderlust is one of my favorite places to go on a night out! Love that i can try so many different wines on tap! The staff is so wonderful, knowledgeable, and kind. Definitely recommend coming here :)
Been here a few times, and every time is a great time! The owner, Sammy, is a delight to be around, and always has a smile on his face. The space has a spacious outdoor patio (covid friendly). I’ll recommend Wanderlust Wine Co. to anyone looking for a great atmosphere and delicious wine.
I love wanderlust! The atmosphere is super chill. They often have live music & comedy nights. Oh and they’re also pet friendly on the patio (which was recently redone and looks incredible) Definitely check it out if you haven’t already or are visiting austin, you won’t regret it
Love this place! Best wine bar in Austin! It's a large indoor/outdoor space and a great atmosphere for hanging out with your friends or going on a date. I highly recommend checking it out. Also, the owner is a hottie.
I enjoyed the atmosphere and the experience. Definitely gives good Austin vibes, I'd definitely bring out of town family here during the day or even chill with friends in the evening. And the staff is very helpful! 🤌 I definitely didn't know what I was doing and they explained so well and gave good reccs to try.
This is such a cool spot! A variety of wine on tap, pay what you pour, good music and a chill vibe! There is outdoor seating as well as a food truck on the site! We drove from San Antonio to check this place out. It is worth the drive.
Five Stars just ain't enough! Wanderlust Wine Co and Wanderlust Wine Collective Eastside are such unique establishments to visit, a must for locals and those visiting ATX! They're both like walking into an art museum, always great tunes whether LIVE or by a DJ! Heel of the Boot is exceptional authentic Italian fare that can be enjoyed over at the Eastside spot. They have so many cool event happenings every week at both locations! Did you know they do COMEDY SHOWS on Thursdays and Saturday nights?! You have to go, it's so fun! The owner and staff are so welcoming, I always look forward to my next visit!
Wine on tap, cool open tab system, indoor and outdoor seating with super dope art displayed, comfortable seats, and tons of picture-worthy backdrops. If you are willing to experiment with your wine experience, this is a great place to checkout!
A wine lovers paradise! Put on your “must do” list for ATX! Self-serve concept, so cool, such a fun and funky vibe with 2 locations. Excellent food trucks on site to satisfy your taste buds. Don’t miss this one, CHEERS!
The wine and the service were both amazing! They were definitely very accommodating to my gf that uses a walker in making sure she had comfortable seating. There were many wine options for whatever your preference is.
I love Wanderlust! I'm a big fan of the concept, I've only ever seen it done with beer but I prefer wine so this is ideal. It's nice that you can try a bunch of different things, I like to do a small 1-2 ounce pour of a few different wines and then pick my favorite to get in a growler and take home. The outdoor space is amazing, and it's easy to keep your distance from other patrons. They also have an awesome food truck in the back with delicious Italian food. I'm already a regular and can't wait to see what Wanderlust does after the pandemic is over!
Highly recommend to check out Wanderlust Wine Co. if you're ever in the Austin area! Went with a few friends and they had an amazing selection of wines on tap, a great vibe and overall a fun atmosphere! The owner, Sammy, was so nice and friendly when showing us around. Will definitely be coming back!!
This was a first experience at Wanderlust. They offer self pore taps on the wall by making a selection on an IPad sized screen above the tap to purchase 1 oz, 3 oz, 5 oz, 8 oz pours using a purchase card. It is a great way to taste several wines or try a few an then buy a 5 oz to sip. The vibe is relaxed indoors and out. Love the colorful murals.
This is the best Wednesday spot in Austin, hands down. I’ve been here like almost 20 times and it’s so deserving of 5 star. The owner (Sammy) is extremely brilliant and personally curates a variety of wines from various locations across the world. He hires incredible staff at every location! They are the kind of staff that feel like your best friends. Love the rewards program and the live music! Great for a friend reunion or date night. Cheers to Wanderlust Wine Wednesdays (half off wine) and all the memories I’ve had over the last 4 years here! We love you!
Just attended the speakeasy/cave wine tasting @ Barton Springs location and had the pleasure of meeting the owners. We were SO impressed and pleased at the wines, bites and whole vibe of this lovely intimate and unique event. Kudos to creating something different for “date night” or any night. We will definitely be back with friends! So much fun!!
Wanderlust wine co holds a special place in my heart. I met Sammy over a year ago to work with him in bringing his vision to life and getting local artists to do murals on the coolest spot in town. This was right before the pandemic hit and I am so happy that his business was able to survive and is now thriving. I have now worked with him for two murals in the back patio and the space really feels like home. He not only supports artists and the creative community but he is a kind and caring person. The whole atmosphere of Wanderlust is welcoming, colorful and most of all has the best wine selection in town. It is a unique place with self serve wine taps, so much art, yummy food truck, good vibes and fun events ranging yoga, music and more. Sammy has generously hosted events for my closest friends and I’m looking forward to spending more time and making memories at this spot. He even let me and my partner paint a giant tribute to my dog Charlie. I am excited for his new additional ventures with Wanderlust Wine Collective and preserving the spot that used to be Infinite Monkey Theorem and for his current spot to continue growing!! Do yourself a favor and check this place out! You are the best Sammy!
I love this winery! It has so much space for events/pop up markets/parties etc. The service is always great, the wine is so fun to be able to self pour. There is always fun music playing or live music! Lots of art with such a cozy feel. There is always at least one food truck to choose from and I highly suggest heel of the boot WOW amazing Italian food to pair with your wine.
Came here for the Holly Jolly Holiday event and absolutely loved the decor, atmosphere, and spiked holiday drinks! Tickets were reasonably priced and you absolutely felt the jolly holiday spirit with all the decor. Absolutely loved the spiked hot chocolate (it was absolutely amazing- I had to get two). Friendly service and great vibes. Definitely recommend going for the holiday event!

What sets Wanderlust apart is the ability to embark on a journey through diverse flavors, allowing patrons to savor the best of international vineyards without leaving Austin. The ambiance is cozy and inviting, creating the perfect atmosphere to discover new and exciting wines. During my visit, I had the pleasure of being assisted by Austin, a knowledgeable and friendly gentleman. The most amazing venue for your event! We were in town for a conference and I worked with Margaret to host a party for my customers. The wine flows, the food was spectacular, the music was phenomenal and the event was no stress. Easiest set up and best customer feedback of any venue that I have used. Margaret is amazing and handles every detail for you!! Definitely recommend that you come here for a drink or to host an event!!!
Cute + cozy wine spot! Staff were friendly and explained the concept of wine sampling and selecting very well. There were board games available, we selected Uno and played outside on the patio and enjoyed the live music as well. Very good variety of wine and very tasty selections available. We did not try the food from the food truck but We stopped in during our weekend trip and would definitely stop by again.
What a find! This new winery is a must-go: 50 wines on tap, self-serve, outdoor space (dog-friendly!!) & a food truck. What’s not to love?? Great spot for a date or just to hang with a big group. Owners are incredibly friendly, and Thomas is so kind & helpful, he’ll tell you everything when you arrive and get you sipping on wine quickly. My new Austin happy place!
I kidnapped my wife for the weekend, and after a light brunch, we spent the next 3 hours here. The service, selection, and atmosphere is magical. It was definitely the highlight of our weekend getaway. Can't wait to make our way back.
From the moment we walked in we felt welcome! They were very friendly showing us how the process works. You could tell they were glad we were new. They truly have great enthusiasm for their jobs and this business. A new product even arrived and we were informed we came at a terrific time! It was so easy to tap my Wanderlust card and release the wine. There's a great variety of wines to choose from, including wines from France, Spain, some sangrias and hard lemonade. Warning: make sure all the taps are closed before you insert your card. I didn't see that one was turned a bit and wine started trickling and money ringing up on my card. Because it's not very bright, I didn't see the wine flowing. Lesson learned! There's an iteresting room off the patio for private events. I'm jealous I couldn't pop in! Happy to see the food truck. Mmm: truffle fries and bruschetta!
Just discovered this place and I love the wine on tap idea better than traditional wineries. The outdoor space is nice, allows dogs, and the food truck is amazing; perfect Italian food pairing with the wine. My friends and I spent more than we wanted to, but we just kept wanting to try different wines! Watch your wallet:)
Loved every minute my spouse and I, enjoyed the artistic nature of drawing for a date night. Along with mood set loved it and even rained to make the date night something out of a movie.
This place is a hidden GEM smack dab in the middle of downtown. I visited the venue for a one of a kind, Immersive cocktail experience with the theme of Alice in Wonderland. It was creative, the artwork was stunning, and the actors were hilarious! I throughly enjoyed the venue and the folks that work here!! Definitely would return!!
I came by here just now as I really needed to do something fun. I work at a hotel which is very demanding!! I had maybe five small poors of wine all were very good!! The guy was a samalie I had no idea about how people don't like chardonnay now!! I tried the French one that had minerals was very good!! They have a great section of wine!! Also great menu!! The only thing I was a little disappointed the Tapas was soooo small but im sure it's good quality and I can't wait to try it. I also had the cheese board!! It was all very good and I was pleased to be able to try so much wine!! Also I recommend that if you're planning to drink please bring botel water and or with hibiscus!! Be safe yall after and no driving drunk plan ahead!!
Such a fun and cute place to go to. Went here as a part of a girls trip and really enjoyed our indoor wine tasting experience. I also loved that you could have a personal charcuterie board and choose from many tapas (which were delicious). The only downside is that it can be pretty pricey if you’re not careful but totally worth the experience.
Went to their Halloween themed party & was seriously impressed. Nice job guys!
Pretty cool winery. Its a self pour. Prices are reasonable and the wines are great. Staff is super friendly. The seating indoors is so comfy & chill. We will def return.
Love this place. Tons of wine on tap and a very chill vibe. Not too pricy and you can taste to your heart's content. Food truck out back is very tasty.

Good place and a nice experience to try lots of different wines. The Sunday brunch crowd is a bit raucous with bottomless mimosas and a dj, that's why I give it 4 stars instead of 5.
Very cool concept. I just prefer having a bartender for the social aspect and to help educate me on the wines. The location its self is very unique and offer plenty of space for a small group.
Fun concept, good flexibility or ordering by pour size, and a good crowd and music. Would be a 5 for me if they offered better wines though. I was told that they only sell wines they they can get in kegs, which they attach to the wines taps (which makes sense). But I’d happily pay more (and come back again) if they had better wine selections.
Fun idea, great patio and space inside. We weren't impressed with all the wines but found some good ones. We also landed the happy hour pricing at 30% off and that was a nice perk!
We had paid for the group tasting. When we arrived we each got a complimentary Jell-O shot which we thought was kinda random. We each got a Spanish red, white, and rose. We all got the same 3 wines and did not get to choose which we were a little disappointed about. Would be cool if they had selections of 3 that each person could pick. Especially ones with all reds or all whites in case you don’t like one or the other. It also came with a individual cheese box. Definitely something that could be skipped. The boxes of food had definitely been frozen as some of the pieces still had ice on it. (I think this is the only food available). We liked that there was board games to play. There was also a huge outdoor section but we stayed inside. The concept of the wine tap and “pay for what you pour” is definitely fun! It was pretty quiet in there most of the time and was not crowded at all. It was a cool spot but not amazing.
Very cool and fun concept. Such a diverse mix of whites, reds, sweet, dry, and sangrias and wine based cocktails. I loved that I could try as little or as much wine as I wanted. My favorite was a local tropical mead. Not super sweet, but very much on the yummy side. Loved that it was low in alcohol as well and just $8 for a full glass--wow! The winery has tons of seating and free wifi, so such a chill spot and great place to relax after a long day or a spot to work from! Minus one star for the service. The lady that was helping was not the warmest or friendliest. I felt a little ignored at first and that I was annoying her with my questions, but I think she might have just been overwhelmed? I did like that she worked with the happy hour and Yelp check in discounts. My total was only $18!! Definitely check in and take advantage of their happy hour.
Love this place - the concept is cool. I’ve seen it for beer but not wine before. It’s on the pricier end but great for tasting different wines. I came with my girlfriends and we shared a charcuterie tower with 4 tapas (prosciutto, burrata, bruschetta & goat cheese). Wish the portion of tapas were bigger but would come again. Great spot for a date night.
This place seems to be the replacement for Infinite Monkey Theorem. Loved the Froze. Seems like this place thrives with 20s-40s year old individuals. The art is great. Very open space. Cool air constantly blowing. Games up for use. The best part is the card that allows you to pour yourself any glass you would like. But be warned, the wine was not chilled when we poured. So not sure how it works on the back end. Can find food in the backyard in a food trailer. Will go again.

This place is so odd! We went on a Sunday evening before a public holiday and it was dead - so few customers, absolutely no atmosphere. It’s a shame because the concept has potential and I enjoyed the wine I tried.
BEWARE OF PARKING! Tons of cars booted and towed. Below is my sob story. I parked in the lot right outside of Wanderlust that's next to the gas station. There are adorable, branded Wanderlust signs in front of each spot that tell you they don't own the lot and they recommend you talk to the gas station attendant (the area/gas station is spooky - not a place you really want to visit, especially if you're a female by yourself at night). The signs do not explicitly say that you have to pay for parking nor do they say you are at risk of being towed (there is an obvious risk that your car may be broken into, based on the surrounding area). I foolishly did not go talk to the gas station attendant. Less than ten minutes later, several cars were booted and towed. Had to pay $100 to have mine unbooted - this entailed going into the spooky gas station and withdrawing $100 from a sketchy ATM as the gas station attendant yelled at a man to leave for acting aggressive. Not fun. When I left 2 hours later, another batch of cars were being booted and towed. It almost felt like a scam. Anyways, make sure you pay for parking otherwise you WILL be towed. Wine and food were pretty good, lol.
It was okay. The best part is trying different drinks in small quantities. However, the wine tastes a little flat since it's from kegs. It was about $2 per ounce depending on the drink. It would make a fun date night. I have no desire to go back.

Idea is amazing but some of the wine is straight up rancid and others are just not good ones. I’m an avid wine enthusiast and I’m not saying everything had to be Napa Valley but some are just gone bad.
This doesn't have the ambiance that you'd expect from a wine bar. The music is a bit obnoxious. We actually left because of the DJ. It would make more sense for them to rebrand as a normal bar that serves beer and cocktails.
We made a reservation for outdoor dinning. Well guess what... we were not seated outside. We were seated inside their storage room with a Gregorian chant music. We asked multiple times to be seated where we made our reservation and they did not help us out. What the mandatory 20% gratuity for? You walked us to the wrong table and we served our selves the entire time. Needless to say we left early and will not be returning unless they improve their reservations to be accurate... false marketing is crime.
Seconding other reviews here. This place is a lot of fun but BE AWARE OF TICKETING AND TOWING. They don't own the lot and that IS NOT CLEAR. I understand (now) that this is a private lot but the signs (or lack there of) is not clear. I think Wanderlust should consider getting involved since this is affecting so many people are coming to their establishment. It really ruins your evening when you're paying $250 for a towing or $80 for a ticket.
Cool idea but poorly executed. Not a sufficient range of drinks and the vibe, although cool, was executed fairly basically. To enjoy the drinks you must enjoy things that are incredibly sweet or simple.
I met a performer who said he was playing at Wanderlust Wine. I found out that they have two locations and did not know what location he would be at. I checked the website and they did not have an upcoming events on the website. I called and couldn't find a way to get a person on the phone with the calling tree they have. It is a Charlie Fox.
We checked on line and it said it was open. We made our way downtown among a big mess of streets closed, around 5pm. Finally found parking a couple blocks away, paid $25 for parking (because of special event) only to find it locked up, lights off with nobody there. The door and online said they should be open. No note on the door saying why they were not open. Very disappointing.
I’ve been going here since they first opened and it was great back then when you could pour your own wine but now you can only choose certain oz sizes. So if you want to try a glass, it’ll cost you $2.50 for an ounce or $1.50 on a Wednesday when it’s half off wine. The wine is always out on tap and not a good selection. I think the final straw was tonight (on a Wednesday when it’s half off ALL wine) when they removed the box where you throw your card in the box and it’s 20% tip (they give you a card to put in the system to pay for your wine) , but tonight I ended up having to manually check out at the front and I picked 20% tip - they didn’t even show me the total- and I saw the total and it was double what I usually pay on a Wednesday and they said it was because they did the 20% tip OFF THE FULL AMOUNT and not the 50% off tab (Which is the special on a Wednesday). So disappointed especially for wine I didn’t even like and they had to comp me my first glass since it ran out while I was trying to pour
Pro's and Con's. The Music Trivia was fun. There is an ability to try lot's of wines... although none of the ones I tasted were overly great. Con's .. Tapas were sub par, and the charcuterie board was small and served on plastic dishes. Wine seemed a bit over priced, and combined with the sub par small servings, and small charcuterie board... I won't be back. If I'm going to spend $100, like I did, I'd prefer a real meal with a glass of quality wine at a high end restaurant. I would however tip the DJ and that may be the only thing keeping this place vivacious.
Honestly I was excited about this concept because it gives an opportunity to try many types of wine without the commitment of a whole bottle or even glass. I purchased a $25 “ticket” which included a $20 wine credit and a $10 food credit. It seemed like a really good deal. I didnt expect to spend $40 (with the $20 credit) on wine. I drank 3 glasses of wine and it absolutely was not worth it. On the computer system, my total was $32 (which should’ve made it $12 with the $20 credit) but much to my surprise it was not. Unfortunately my friends had a similar experience and had a much higher bill than expected. I’m sorely disappointed in this experience as I was super excited. Also the music outside didn’t quite fit the overall vibe.
